Hope everyone is well and had a great start to 2017?

Sorry it's been so long since my last Icey update. I've noticed as the years have gone by and work it's busier than ever and now two babies it's becoming pretty hard to keep on top of my blog posts. I think my new years resolution will be to update it more than once a year! Haha.

So latest news would be that our address has changed. So if anyone has any of our old business cards and marketing material, please make sure that you check our website or get in touch for the latest address details.

New Designs, New Products and some time off... :)

Hope everyone has had a great start to the new year?

I'm busy working on some new designs for the Crystal Iced website, which means new products will be added soon!

The website will be closed from around the end of May, for roughly 2 months, as I will be on maternity leave (baby no 2 :) However if anything is required urgently, please feel free to get in touch via email or leave me a message and I'll see what I can do for you.

In the meantime, I'm running a new competition on Facebook and Instagram, to name this quirky new unicorn design.

I hope everyone reading this has had a lovely Christmas 2013 and are having a very happy new year.

2013 has officially broken the record because I posted only ONE update in the whole year! Eek, what have we been doing. Busy of course hence the lack of updates.

To summarise in a nutshell, lots of the usual wacky commissions and projects for companies such as Virgin Airlines, All Star Mr & Mrs, Sharpie UK, Rimmel London, Show Beauty and Swan Lake Canvas Exhibition. I'm estimating over 500,000 Swarovski Elements applied during the year! Here are some pictures to feast your eyes on:

Feels like de javu again.. :) "With the sheer excitement of holiday's this year, I completely forgot to write my year ending blog post! So, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are having a very happy new year."

I thought 2011, was exciting, but CI just keeps getting more and more amazing every year. 2012 started off with commissions by big brands such Blackberry UK, YSL, Benefit and ITV1 TV show All Star Mr & Mrs. Then CI received the biggest commission to date, a full size telephone booth.

Alot of you will have heard of the BT ArtBox exhibition that took place in London in July. We had the great pleasure of fully covering a Union Jack on one of the ArtBox's! It was designed by the very famous Sir Peter Blake. This all took place during the Queen's Jubilee, so it couldn't have been a more patriotic time at Icey HQ. We were on an extremely tight deadline, but lo and behold we completed applying approx 400,000 Swarovski Elements in just 10 very very long days (early mornings-late nights). But it was worth every moment to be a part of something so special. It has to be a Crystal Iced commission/challenge that we can never forget.

If one wasn't enough we were asked to complete another Sir Peter Blake 2012 Union Jack ArtBox. As you might have guessed this was the reason for very few blog updates last year. It has to have been the most manic, exciting time ever!

Shortly after completing the ArtBox's we started work on Crystallizing products for the Harvey Nichol's Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool. I got to design beautiful products for companies such as Creme De La Mer, Origins, Benefit and many more.

Our year ended with a massive commissions by Samsung UK and Rimmel. We fully covered over one hundred Samsung Galaxy Note II's, using more than 275,000 Swarovski Elements and covered various products such as mascaras and lipsticks for Rimmel London using 500,000+ Swarovski Elements.

So as you can realise, after such a busy year our two weeks off for Xmas was a peaceful time of the year. But it's nice to be back at work. Happy new year all, can't wait to see what 2013 unfolds.

Challenges, Thank You Cards and a CI Wedding! :)

Time is flying by and taking a month off work didn't help much because time flew by even quicker :)

For all who were wondering why CI was closed in April, well basically I was getting married, hence HQ had to close till I got back.
For everyone who is wondering who the lucky guy is, here he is... Me and my husband Adeel:

Now that we're back to work, I'm having an awesome time creating exclusive designs for some of the biggest brands in the UK/world. To name drop a few: new series of ITV1 All Star Mr & Mrs, Blackberry, Benefit & YSL. So yeah it's a bit crazy here right now.

I also wanted to share with you this amazing commission from Sharon Preece, my very special long time customer. Sharon basically wanted the following Louboutin shoes design on her iPhone 4s case:

A bit of a challenge right? I would say a HUGE challenge. Heres how it turned out:

Sharon absolutely loves her new phone and I'm so pleased it turned out so well. And on another exciting front I received my 13th thank you card from Nicola Brown, our Facebook competition winner who also had some Loubs on her iPhone 4s:

With the sheer excitement of holiday's this year, I completely forgot to write my year ending blog post! So, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are having a very happy new year.

2011 has to have been one of the most eventful years at Crystal Iced, but every year is special and I cannot wait to see what innovations Crystal Iced brings forth in 2012. Oh, did I tell you we're working on a DRUM KIT for a huge celebrity!! It looks amazing and I can't wait to reveal the pictures of the completed drumkit soon. Here's a before picture for you to start imagining the outcome:

I also noticed that I didn't blog about the Canti sign we CI'd for Harrod's last year.. If you visit Harrods you can find the sign on the ground floor, so don't forget to check it out. I also haven't posted the pictures of all the products I designed for the A Crystal Christmas at Harrods.. Inspired by Swarovski Event, but I'm hoping to add them to the new B2B Corporate page on my website soon, so keep a look out (because there are quite a few!!).

Crystal Iced "Rainbow Brite" iPhone 4

So I received a challenge to create Rainbow Brite on the back of an iPhone for my long time client Helen! Helen always asks for the cutest Crystal Iced designs for her phone, but this had to be one of the most challenging design I had received (ever).

The above picture is the brief.. To create Rainbow Brite on the white iPhone 4. Here are the results:

I'm so happy Helen requested this design, because it's just showed me that there is no limit to what can be done at Crystal Iced!

The MOST amazing high heel shoes in the WORLD

After watching Beyonce's "Telephone" video (by Lady Gaga) I remember spotting a gorgeous pair of high heel shoes she was wearing.

This inspired me to put forward a challenge to myself, to create a Swarovski Crystal version of the shoes. After over a year of pondering (& having little time also) I finally decided to go ahead any make my Diamant et Perles design on the shoes in almost every Swarovski shade available! The results were jaw dropping...

I've never seen a prettier pair of Swarovski heels in my life and anyone who see's them has to agree. Heres a video:

The amazing response to these shoes led to a prettiful commission by one of my clients Amanda. Amanda wanted the same design on her white Blackberry 9780 mobile phone, so I went for a more silver base colour and all the pretty colours too. Here is what I came up with:

Amanda adores her Diamant et Perles BB 9780 and so do I! The huge variety of Swarovski colours used on the phone make you want to sit and stare it it for hours on end

Alex Song Arsenal Footballers Crystal Iced Trainers

Been a while since I blogged last, but have been working on some super amazing projects and commissions, hence the delay.

First of all I would like to share with you a pair of fully covered trainer's which belong to the one and the only ALEX SONG, footballer for Arsenal. I went for blacks and silver tones to keep the look very classy and manly of course:

Colours used were: Jet, Cosmojet, Crystal & Jet Hematite.

Living on a Crystal lined Cloud #9

It's common practice for me to have a big smile on my face at work. I love my job lots and lots and especially am thrilled when receiving an envelope addressed to me like this:

Oh yes! It contained my 11th thank you card from Kemi Liza and its out of this world cute! The message inside is the sweetest.

It is now proudly on show in my office. Making any other business owners who visit me very jealous indeed :)

I love how my collection makes jaws drop in awe.

More to the point, heres the design I created for Kemi Liza's Blackberry Torch:

How to Create a CI'd Crazy Cupcake Manicure

Don't you think these nails are amazing? Mad manicures... We ♥ them :)

I think it's something that has to be tried at one point or another (it's so simple). It's basically inspired by our CandyPop Cupcake Ring, which is a gorgeous little kitsch ring made with Swarovski Crystals. Here's how you can make the nails to match..
You will need:
1. Moderately good sized nails.
2. Pink and white nail varnish.
3. Swarovski Crystals, or whatever type you can get hold of.
4. A slim brush.
5. A bit of time to experiment. (and maybe some nail varnish remover in case things go wrong).
How to do it:
1. Apply one full layer of pink to your nails using your nail varnish brush.
2. Apple white coloured nail varnish to the tips of your nails. A bit like frosting. You will need to put your crystals in the white nail varnish before it dries.
3. Then using a thin paint brush, apply a thin line across (like in the picture).
4. Voila! Leave the nails to dry, slip on your ring if you haven't already and your good to go!

Olivia Song's Crystal Iced iPhone 4 Case.

This February, I had the great pleasure of designing a Crystal Iced masterpiece for wife of famous Arsenal footballer Alex Song; Olivia Song. Here is what Olivia went for on her Apple iPhone 4:

The Diamant et Perles w/ Butterfly and Initials design. Using colour combinations Jet, Cosmojet, Black Diamond, Crystal, White Opal, AB and Pearl. It turned out stunning and Olivia is delighted with it.

We ♥ Google!

Did I tell you I'm in love with Google? It's nothing new... It's just that I do everything with Google day in day out. Let's not get started on this topic because I could go on forever :) *I really do love Google*.
Google is the coolest brand in the world and to receive a commission from them has to be the highlight of the start of this year (along with the launch of CPJ of course). Project was to CI 6 of the Google Nexus S phones for a competition. Here is what we came up with:

Out of this world! Especially with the cute Android on it. The background is made up of Cosmojet Swarovski stones, with the Google logo and Android outline made up of Crystal, and the Android filled with Jet. Google was very impressed indeed!

Also, for all who are curious and didn't catch our Facebook post, this is what we made for our competition winner Claire Kellichan last month:

Claire went for the legendary Diamant et Perles style, in custom colours of her choice. Crystal AB, Pearl background, with accents of Amethyst and Light Rose. Initial CK was made in Purple Velvet. Extremely sparkly and the ultimate design to go for.
Claire also sent me this thank you card, which was extremely sweet of her, as I really didn't expect it. Thank you so much Claire. Its my 10th card to date. Will be treasured for ever and ever:

Today has just been the most amazing day at CI. The excitement and hubbub around my new jewellery brand Candy Pop Jewellery is phenomenal. Thank you for all the supportive messages, it means alot to me.

It has been a roller coster few months, but CPJ is all ready and online. I love all the jewellery designs. All cute and quirky in their own way. A very proud sister brand to Crystal Iced.

Candy Pop Jewellery is Born.

So heres the exciting news I was going on about in my last post. After months of organising, designing, visualizing our new brand Candy Pop Jewellery is almost ready to be revealed! The launch date has been set to Thursday the 3rd of February, so only a week left.

It's been an exciting few months and being a sister brand to Crystal Iced, you are guaranteed to be seeing some super cool jewellery designs, incorporated with Swarovski Crystal where ever we can and of course great service too.

Cute, quirky and funky it the motto. Here's a sneak preview of one of the designs. This is an adorable working miniature vintage style hand mirror, adorned with a genuine Swarovski Crystal Pearl.

It has been a very very hectic few weeks in the run up to Xmas, but now that all the orders have been sent an delivered (thank you Royal Mail for doing us proud even through the snow) we are on holiday until the 4th of Jan. Trust me we need it ;)

1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... skip to 1000.... 2000.... 3000.... nearly four thousand all individually applied by hand. *wow* indeed.

This seems to be the question on everyones lips after the launch of our Facebook competition last week.

Our Diamant et Perles is one of the most stunning designs in the range and uses the most amount of crystals too. Each phone varies so we decided to use an iPhone 4 as an example.

The iPhone 4 pictured used a whopping 3889 Swarovski Crystals and after much searching, our winner of a Crystal Iced customisation is Claire Kellichan! Congratulations.
