Overnight Stay Tax

As from 1st of January 2018 it has been introduced an overnight stay tax in Greece, applicable at all hotels.

The tax will vary from 0,5 - 4 euros per room/ stay (night) depending on the official category of the accommodation and it will be collected upon check-in.

The charge will be as follows:

Hotel category Euro per room/ night

5 Star Hotels 4

4 Star Hotels 3

3 Star Hotels 1,5

1-2 Star Hotels 0,5

Apartments (of all key categories) 0,5

Τourism in Corfu showed positive results in 2012, growing by 6,7% and reaching 840.000 international tourist arrivals, despite the economic downturn in Greece.
The remarkable resilience of Corfu tourism during difficult times makes us all much more optimistic for an even better 2013.

Record year for World Tourism

As announced by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) at the WTM, international tourist arrivals will exceed 1 billion by the end of the year for the first time in history, despite the global economic concerns. Crystal Travel was again present at the WTM and we were happy to meet friends and colleauges from around the world.
