Party....Check!

Well, one party down!!! Only two more birthdays and school clothes shopping to go!!! Whew....I'm tired from thinking about it all!! I wanted to share some of her party decor!! We did a black, white, and pink theme. We used leftover wrapping paper from her bedroom redo...(that is still not finished)!!! Anyhoo, these are pics of her school cafeteria. Although it looked like birthday party threw up in the living room all week, I knew with the size of the cafeteria it wouldn't look like very much.

The gift table. Complete with monograms, and tulle I purchased at a thrift store for $1.00 a bag. I used frames from her bedroom and the photo holder from my living room.

The side wall. It was a huge wall to fill up. I know it's difficult to tell in the photo but tulle was draped along the top of the wall. We wanted the entire middle of the floor to be clear for her "dance". She wanted some of lights off to mimic a school dance. We did lower the lights, played music, and danced....I'm sure the ones sitting were entertained by a few adults (myself) attempting to dance.

I love paper roses...she also wanted lanterns and we hung them over the food tables. Like I mentioned before lots of space to fill....flowers huge in living room....not so big in the cafeteria.We were limited on wall space and couldn't take posters off the walls.

We made our own candy bouquets. We hot glued florists foam from the Dollar Tree and placed lollipops, gum on toothpicks, and wrapped smarties with the black and white paper (it looks like cow print....lol) into the foam.

I opted to do finger foods only, so we made two different types of cupcakes and added a monogram cupcake pick. I tried to find only black and white food....it was more difficult than what I thought!!

More cupcakes.....we cut large squares of black and white paper to break up some of the white of the tablecloths. I also printed out place cards to label all of the food....no need to doubt what kind of cupcakes your eating or flavor of dip.

Here is a small niche which happened to be the only place with a plug in....use what you have I suppose. I turned it into the area for the "hot foods". We had chili, chips, and cheese. We made the banner and of course more roses.

I took the birthday girl outdoors for a photo shoot the day before. I made her a hair bow and matching flowers to go on her shirt. We also used the paper roses we prepared for the party. We dressed her following the black, white, and pink theme. I also used ribbon that I picked up at a yard sale to make rosettes to use on the front of the tables.

Here are our custom boards we made from wrapping paper, streamers, and a pizza box. I also had a few extra pictures and used those as well.

I wanted to fix up a dress up area for them to use to take pictures. I thought I would do a photo shoot and post them on Facebook. Let's just say the boys had SO much fun with feather boas and pink party hats!!! I should have covered the table and kind've wanted a mirror...but there was only so much time.

Thankfully we can use all of her party decor for her bedroom. Can't wait to hang the roses up in her room...did I mention I love those???

How do people do these grand parties??? I thought I had everything figured out....I can't imagine how people do these completly over the top parties!!!

God's Blessings

I can't believe I'm going to say it.....but, I've found something way more important than blogging!!!!

Yes, it's true!!!! ( I never thought I would say it either).

Sometimes I am amazed by the blessings God throws our way. We had the pleasure of keeping this little guy for a few days!!!

Isn't he just adorable??? I forgot what it was like to have an active 3 yr. old around. Needless to say there were a few days I was exhausted. We have had so much fun with him. We have played.

But have also found moments of quiet time. My oldest daughter is reading to him.....right now it's his favorite. We took turns reading about "spooky noises".....we read the same book several times. I truly forgot about reading the same book over and over and over again. It's funny how certain things come back to you.

He's a keeper!!! Can't wait to go pick him up for another visit. We're all counting down the days til Friday to see him again.

We're getting a lot accomplished between visits. It's almost party time.

I can't believe I've used an enter bottle of white glue. I thought these things lasted forever!!!!

A Few Projects

I thought I would share a few projects today. I have been so busy and seriously slacking on blog duty!!
First I will show you paint before and afters. My daughter thought I was insane for buying this little step ladder. It was only $1.00.

Here is the after. I think it's an adorable display piece now. I'm thinking of adding a couple of shelves for display.

The sewing drawer in the background had some great detail. It's a repro so I didn't feel guilty about the paint.

The after!!! I just did a dry brush technique one it. I wanted to age it a little.

Here is a tray full of graphics from The Graphics Fairy. I spent so much time on there one day I had to stop myself!!! I spent hours looking at all of the wonderful graphics.

A super inexpensive jar I purchased at a yard sale with a dog label for doggie biscuits!!! I love this label!

A glittered tag!

I printed half a page of these crowns out, cut them, glued them onto a piece of card stock, then glittered around the edge. I love crowns and glitter!!!

I printed this graphic, cut it out and glued it to the bucket. The bucket is rusty and has no bottom but I think I can hang it up, or fill it with berries or grapevine and it would be cute. I may distress the image to darken it a little more.

Well, as you can see I've been finishing projects. Just haven't had a lot of time to post.

Between VBS and birthdays I've been booked up!!!

My "baby" turns 11 today!!!

See The Beauty

Isn't it funny how sometimes you grow up with certain places you forget to see the beauty in them?

This is one of two of falls at our state park.

It looks like a lagoon in a movie scene.

It's not very big but, I remember swimming here when I was young. The water is always cool even in the middle of summer.

The way the water cascades down...the sunlight. It was beautiful. I've always loved it here but, noticed it's beauty today.

In times past if you were very still the little minnows would come and nibble your toes.....talk about giggly girls!!!

I even saw beauty in a tree covered in moss.

God has surrounded us with beauty....I need to be more aware.....

and thankful. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in life I don't stop to look.

This was a day for appreciating nature!

I hope you can go outside and appreciate the beauty you've been blessed with!!!

Been Framed?

Isn't it nice to be able to rearrange prints and frames.

Sometimes they just look as though they were meant to be!!!

A friend bought me this wonderful frame and the marriage certificate seems to fit it perfectly!

This is the frame that (up until recently) held the marriage certificate. I think this print fits much better!

Here is another of the prints I scored for $4.00!! Still can't believe I found these for such a great price!!! Aren't they darling?

And this little guy!! I found him at Goodwill for $2.00. He will be covered soon....poor thing!!! I see a fresh coat of paint for the entire piece!! The mat is metal....I can't wait to finish.

Hope you are having a wonderful week....mine has been BUSY!!! Some days I would like to have a happy medium. I'm either too busy or not busy enough!!!!

More Fun Weekend Finds

I didn't realize how much I brought home. Isn't it funny you carry everything inside and it doesn't seem like you bought very much. Now, it looks as though I bought A LOT (after I said I was going to tone it down)!! Moving on.....
I bought both of these drawers for $3.00. One is real and one is fake....can you tell which is which?

Do you know what this is???? I had no clue but I knew what I wanted it for!!! It's used for canning food. I thought it would make a great plant stand!!!! For $.25 I didn't really think I could go wrong.

Other than the prints these were the finds of the day!!! I love this stuff!!! I sat in the car and looked at them over and over again. Does anyone else do that? You get so excited about "new toys" you ogle them in the car for miles down the road? I've been waiting to find a great deal on keys.....this entire lot of goodies was $1.00!!!

I love my pink for Christmas and it's somewhat hard to find.....this darling Santa had an original price tag of $25.00......I got him for $.25!!!! Not bad (Merry Christmas to me in July)!!!

Finally, (I'm sure you were wondering if it was ever going to end) this lovely candle holder was $1.00. I had found one at Hobby Lobby recently and wouldn't pay their price for it! This one will do just fine!

That concludes my goodies for the weekend. Thankfully I'm still on my yard sale high (isn't it terrible you get a rush from great bargains!) so, I've finished a few projects.

Fun Weekend Finds

I had a wonderful time out finding yard sales today!! I found some awesome deals!!!!

First I found these wonderful candle holders for $1.00 each. I love the way they sparkle in the sunlight (they look like disco lights)!!!

This small planter was $.25 I wish I had known things were $.25 BEFORE I checked out I would have found more stuff!!!

This cute basket was $1.00 I thought it would make a great basket for garden tools, especially paired with the cute $.25 table cloth.

My obsession with vintage prints!!! I cannot tell you how much I love vintage prints!!! I drove 3 hours last year to find more prints and was devastated to find they were all destroyed by rain the year before!!! I wanted to scream out NOOOOOOOO in the middle of the flea market (but barely managed to contain myself....ha ha). I paid $3.00 for the ones at the flea market and found this one and two others today for $4.00 each.

I thought this wooden ladder would be adorable painted white (of course) and placed outside with shelves. I always need more storage, even outdoors.

This wonderful metal tray was $.25. I can't wait to paint it white and maybe put sheet music on it?? I'll have to weigh all of my options before I decide.

These pillows were a steal....I got 5 pillows for $3.00. I may put slipcovers on them so I can use them for summer and winter. They are very pretty!!!

That's all for now. Believe it or not I have more to share!!!! I'm so excited about upcoming projects. I guess this will keep me busy for another couple of days!

Major Graham Mansion

I discovered this house on the Internet while looking for things to do on a family outing. I couldn't wait to go visit a mansion!!!! I was so excited!!! This is what I saw!!! Isn't it beautiful!!!

This is the side view and actually what you walk upon. The white part is the original and the brick was added later.

I love the architecture!!!

I like this view...the columns in the front are iron.

I expected it to look beautiful on the inside and I was disappointed!!! It's fallen in to disrepair. The wood work just doesn't shine.

This was a "family outing" so there are lots of pics which include my family.

The house is said to be haunted by several spirits. All I wanted to do was grab a hammer and Spackle knife and get to work!!!

Is is just me or are you dying to splash a coat of paint on the walls???

This was called the brides room.

A bride would test her diamond ring out on the window to make certain it was real. If you look closely you can see there were lots of ladies trying the theory out.

I also had to fight off the urge to hang pictures on the walls and accessorize. Can you imagine all the beautiful furniture you could fill these rooms with?

Even the slave quarters were larger than my house!! (That's pretty sad)!

This was the outdoor kitchen the slaves had to use in the summer to keep from heating up the main house. Imagine what a wonderful guest house it would make.

Except for the laundry area. They would build a fire under this huge pot and launder their clothes in it......No thank you!!!!

Well, I was convinced I should move in and fix her up (although she's not for sale and not one offered to let me move in for free). I was ready to pack up and get to work. I knew I could fix her up and bring her back to her beautiful self...ghosts or not. My husband and children declined to ever spend one night there much less move in. I guess I'll sit and dream of what could have been!!!

Free Makeovers

Here is day three of how curtains and accessories can change the look of a room. You may remember this look from winter. It's not that I had to have this color.....I found a killer deal on these curtains and loved them!!! I think they were $3.99 per pair!!! That's $8.00 to cover the entire window!!! They are really pretty although they didn't really fit my "white" theme. Just a few adjustments and ........

I used darker pictures, and candle sconces.

Darker accessories.

And a few antique pieces to finish the look.

Next are a set of curtains I adore. I bought this fabric and made the curtains to imitate curtains I found in a book. It was a huge sewing project (and my room looks NOTHING like the inspiration)!

The brighter curtains needed brighter accessories.

I mixed the brighter shades with gold.

Now for the present look. I wanted a touch of elegance and thought "wow, with ALL of this ~~junk~~ stuff surely I have enough to achieve a look I'll love".

Sheer curtain panels all purchased from thrift store bag sales or yard sales.

Have I found it? Candelabras...are always a favorite.
(this candelabra was $.25 at a yard sale recently, the mirror free from friend, the small candle lamp free, it belonged to my grandmother)

Sparkles and glass....yes, I'm liking that.
(Ice bucket $5.00, glass bottle $2.00, frames clearance from Dollar General complete with mats from Dollar Tree and prints from The Graphics Fairy).

I wanted different....and it's different!!!! I used a shelf I recently purchased for $.50. Curtains panels were free from a friend. The shadow boxes were clearance finds at Family Dollar for $1.00. I painted them and changed the contents of the boxes. I also painted the frames. The tray was really inexpensive too.

I guess sometimes hoarding is not a bad thing. I've created looks for three days now for no money!!! That's right $0. You'll notice very few picutures of the floor (and none of the couch)....you wouldn't believe the mess I had!!! It's nice to change things up....monthly, weekly, daily, or (as in my case) hourly if you want to!!!!

Living Green & Pink

Here are more changes in my living room to prove changing out curtains and accessories can make a HUGE difference.

First, green.

Lots of greenery and spring colors.

A cottage feel. Bright and airy.

I love this paint by number my grandmother painted and gave to me.

For look #2......think pink!!

What girl doesn't need a little pink every now and again.

A floral print picture in pinks (purchased at a flea mk. for $15)

Pink curtains and accessories.
(Curtains were cheap from yard sale....these are the curtains I turned inside out because the fabric was prettier....sometimes it's better to think outside the box).

Pink candles.
(candle holders were an after Christmas Wal Mart find.....I painted them white)

The small picture and box were recent Hobby Lobby finds....80% off!!!

What a difference!!! It's just amazing how changing curtains and a few accessories can change the look and feel of a room!

A Study In White

I wanted to take some of this week and share what changing curtains and a few accessories can do. It takes very little money (thankfully I am a hoarder and created all the looks from this week for free).
Look #1
Here are my white curtains with pink and ruffle trim
(these curtains are actually sheets purchased from Wal-Mart...I just added the floral trim and ruffles).

Lots of cottage elements....floral framed print and plates.

(All purchased from yard sales).

                                                                  More florals and flowers.
                (Everything here besides the lamp were purchases from yard sales or flea markets)

Birds nest was free.....love anything free!!!

Look #2
Here are solid white curtains. Straight panels....(if you'll remember these are the ones I picked up at the bag sale for $1.00....they look so much better after they were ironed).

A really quick wall make over. Changing one picture and adding a different kind of plate makes a huge difference. All items here (minus the hook and flowers) were also purchased from yard sales.

A view from the other side. All of the furniture was purchased second hand. Why pay full price when you can buy used and buy twice as much!!!

I wanted to add several things on the table, to create a large grouping of objects. The flowers were a gift, the container they are in was purchased from a yard sale. The white piece in the back was a clearance find from Hobby Lobby. The picture frames were purchased new and spray painted white.

I wanted to simplify this grouping to keep from competing with the other table. The mirror was free from a friend. I did buy the feathers new but they were 50% off on sale.

Quick Update II

I'm so glad I've finished more projects!!! Yay!!! This is a box I picked up at a yard sale for nearly nothing.

It included a bow, a tag, and tissue paper.

I printed out graphics from The Graphics Fairy cut them out and glued them on with regular white glue.

I really like the way it turned out.

So bright and fresh.

I picked a couple of these up from a friend of mine. I bought one for a $1.00 and she gave me the other.
I thought they had so much potential.

First a chalkboard. This sticker came from the Dollar Tree, and I added leftover paper.
My youngest has claimed this one...thankfully I have a spare!!!

Next is a Victorian look. This was created from leftover wallpaper border and scrapbook paper.

A welcome sign for an entry way, the front porch.

I think these have so many possibilities. Thankfully they have a slot in the top and I can change colors, styles, and especially for the holidays!

Quick Update

Hope you're having a great Monday. I did manage to finish up a project. Mark one more off the list. This is a handbag I picked up at a bag sale so cost was near nothing. I made the embellishment from leftovers of other projects.

Here is the after. I made three large ruffles, gathered them, and used hot glue to attach them. I wanted the edges to fray to give it a more casual, messy look. I cut the first strip smaller and gathered it in the center to top it off. I may add a small piece of ribbon to cover my thread and add a little more color. I haven't decided yet.

Inspiration

I've been looking through back issues of Country Living Magazine. My mom inherited 4 boxes of them!!!

I wanted to share some of the wonderful rooms I've discovered.

Isn't this one amazing? A chandy, columns, and iron elements!!!

Beautiful!!!

I love the simple elegance of this room.

It's so beautiful but, even if I had it.....it would have lots more stuff!!!

I'm loving the pink. Makes me want pink everywhere!!!

Again a chandy and columns!!! I'm loving the lavish linens paired with the rusticity of the ceiling and walls!!!

Slim Pickins

Sales were few and far between last weekend. Needless to say I was very disappointed but, seeming hubby and myself were out for Father's Day/ His Birthday I guess all in all not too bad. I hope he enjoys our finds....giggle!!! I found this lamp at an antique mall for $5.00. It even came with the bird poo covered shade....yuck!! Why wouldn't you at least clean it up...c'mon people...really? Anyway I have yet to bleach it and I'm going to recover it with what? I'm not sure yet. As I looked at the lamp I realized it was much older than I thought and metal instead of resin.

Next at the same antique mall I found these flowers. I've had my eye on them for a while now. They are as tall as my lamp (although it's difficult to tell in the pic). They are in a mesh cone which is very cottage looking. I'm very happy with my $7.00 purchase. I'm thinking of a bird's nest and some honeysuckle vine to finish it off.

And last is another new handbag. It's a Burberry bag and will be adorable to carry this winter with a sweater. It was $3.00.

Thankfully the day wasn't a total bust. I did manage to swing by Hobby Lobby and find a few more goodies at 80% off. Let's just say I went a little crazy in there....it made up for the lack of sales for the day!!!

Maybe The Tag Really Did Mean Dry Clean Only

Sometimes we don't follow rules. It's just a fact of life where crafting and decorating are concerned. If we always followed the rules we would never be different or unique. On the other hand sometimes rules are there for a reason....hmmm,.....imagine that. I found these panels at a bag sale and had to have them. Two huge panels!!! Enough to go across my entire picture window in my living room. I was able to purchase these for $1.00!!! Lined white drapes for a buck!!! Score!!!

The only problem was they were a little dingy. I did check the tag and it said "Dry Clean Only". I wonder why? What could it hurt? They were only a dollar...would it be the end of the world? No. Well, it obviously said it for a reason....look how they've drawn up!!! Yikes!!! (oh my, I did just use the word yikes)
I guess you live and learn. Maybe this will be an opportunity to sew something across the bottom.

I also wanted to share a project I've been working on. This is a cabinet behind my bathroom door. It's been here since I was a little girl. I did add the shelves over top but I'm in desperate need of storage. So I arranged, and rearranged and nothing worked (insert lots of frustration here).

I remembered seeing a set of shelves in a shop belonging to a friend of mine (please excuse the messy background). I decided to buy the shelves for $15.00 and make them work. So, I brought them home, in listed hubby to help (thankfully no vein that day....tee hee hee), cut them off to fit the cabinet exactly, and put them all back together again.

I found this piece at a yard sale for $1.00 which I knew would be the perfect size.

I found and old board and added a couple of other architectural pieces to the ends.

I have crown moulding to add to the top and need to paint everything out. But, girls came home and I had to move all of the furniture back into place for right now.

Total cost for the project....$16.00

I think I love it!!! I love all of the extra display space.

Now where can I use more shelves?

Do You Ever Wonder WHY?

Do you ever begin a project and wonder why? Why did I EVER think this was a good idea?

What was I thinking?

Well, with all of my spare time last week I began this project.

Why? I don't know....boredom? Stupidity?....(that's more like it....ha ha!!!)

Anyway, this is my lovely bathroom floor.....(I do clean the floors but had just moved a cabinet out).

1970's flooring. It's been on the floor since it was built.

What makes it worse....it's a combination of different floor tiles. The lovely 1970's yellowish with peel and stick brick look tiles!!! Isn't it lovely?
My bright idea was to peel all of the tile up because there are hard wood underneath (I did check).

So with heat gun in hand I started peeling up tile and this is what I found. Even better than tile.....tar backing from the tile. Impressive huh?
So off to the store for a chemical. I bought a can and brought it home....I actually read directions and followed them (yes, I guess there is a first time for everything). It didn't work!!! I was so upset.
So I used a putty knife to peel things up piece by piece used the gun, melted the tar, listened to the fire alarm go off, and scraped, scraped, and scraped some more.....yuck!!!! It's horrible. After leaving a damp mop on the floor overnight (by mistake) I figured out plain ol water does the trick. Who knew?

After all this work this small piece of floor is my hope...it's what I've been looking forward to......except....

After looking at the dark floors I'm not sure the small space can handle a dark floor. I don't like it!!! I want it light and airy to freshen up the space. Uhgggg!!!! Why can't I figure these things out BEFORE I spend a week working on floors.

I guess you live and learn.

If You Can Finish This Post

Hmm, today's post.....I'll begin with the weekend. NOT GOOD. Coming from a family of mechanics....it's natural to replace things on your own cars. Mine needed the brakes changed (Do things go smooth when hubby works on things?.....NEVER). It's funny though.....when my hubby gets aggravated there is a vein that literally pops out on his forehead. (I would have taken a picture but, Even I am not that brave). The little daughter and I witnessed the "vein" all weekend. Let's just say not too pleasant.
I did find a yard sale while my mom and myself were one our way to the store (you were right LV...didn't last very long)!!!!! These yard sale finds shouldn't really count because I didn't go "yard saleing" on purpose.....it was an accident.

I picked up all of these finds on a table after she told me EVERYTHING ON THE TABLE was $.25.

So, with the $5.00 coupon in hand to take to the store I only really saved $4.25 with my extra purchases!!!
Only me!!!!

On to yard sale finds from 2 weeks ago. I forgot to post these!!!! Monday wasn't any better. BOTH my girls are gone w/grandparents this week!!! Not only that.....husband has had to work extra long hrs. Dream for some.....NOT FOR ME!!!! It has been horrible. I threatened to latch on to my 10yr olds leg and beg her not to go....(although thinking it was a great plan...I didn't)!!!
(By the way entire set of curtains....$.50)

My family should REALLY know better than to leave me alone for that long. I've not changed major furniture around in the house for going on 2yrs now (due to the fact I was in school and too busy)......but this week......
Not good!!! I moved.....moved furniture again.....moved a third time......gotten aggravated because my vision didn't work out the way I had planned....and refused to move it back.
(Cute bag....came in a bag at a $5.00 bag sale...perfect to take to yard sales)

So, yes I have furniture in the middle of my living room....a path through the house.....for NOTHING!!! I guess I'm going to go buy a shelf (just so happens I have one in mind already) but, until then....I will leave the path of destruction alone.

I've been in one of my moods this week. So I'm going to eat and drink my sorrows away.....(No not that!!!!)

Quick & Easy Project

I wanted to share a project that is cheap, quick, and easy!!!

I found this bowl at a thrift store over the weekend.

I love this glue!! It's perfect for glass and ceramics.

Sold in the craft section of Wal-Mart.

This is what a local florist used...if it's good enough for a florist....it's great for me!

A Little Spray Paint....Goes A Long Way

I finally finished a couple of projects!!!! It's about time!! First, this gold piece I picked up. It was $.50 so I didn't have a whole lot to lose. So I experimented with it!!

I was inspired by this graphic from Graphics Fairy.com

A coat of paint.....I drilled a hole in each side to hang prisms from.

I also added some vintage sheet music to the top. I thought about ribbon and roses.....may be a little much. I'll leave it as it until I decide.

Here is another before and after the little touch lamp. I liked it gold but.....

I heard the spray paint calling my name...(it was already out and all).

Here is the after!! It looks so good!! I even surprised myself!!!

More Yard Sale Finds

I thought I would share the other things I picked up last Saturday. There still weren't many sales to choose from....I guess with graduation being that weekend. I managed to find several things, like this comforter set. It came with the comforter, bed skirt, pillow shams, and several decorative pillows....a bargain at $15.00. I think it will be a warm look for winter.

I also found my youngest daughter this Coach knockoff!!! Perfect size for my new middle school er

(where has the time gone) !!!

It was an entire bag full of spice jars!!! Perfect to hold glitter, and buttons....don't you think?

With an entire bag full the possibilities are endless!!!

That's it for last weekends finds!!! I'm debating on going out this weekend or waiting......I'm trying to be good and not bring any more junk home but.....it's getting more and more difficult!!! We'll see how long I can hold out (I'm betting not very long)!!!

Glitz & Glamour.....don't you just LOVE glitz and glamour? I love it all. Sometimes it's just nice to think about all of the rich and famous and how they are surrounded by it all the time!!!! For White Wednesday I thought I would share some of what it means to me......

like jewelry, feathers, and embellishments on clothing!!! Feel like a star yet?

Of course we must include chandeliers and crystal!!! Drippy crystal's are so glamorous!!!

What about glitter and sparkles, shiny fabrics, details on mirrors and picture frames, and monograms!! Who doesn't love a monogram!

When you combine them all together!!! Lots of Glitz!!! Lots of glamour!!!

Then you mix it up with sepia tones!!! Very glamorous....wouldn't you say?

Well, the running joke in our house is.....my attention is out the window if I see something that shines and sparkles. It's so true!!!! I can spot something shiny or sparkly from a mile away!!!!

A Few Finds

I found a few little things while out on Saturday. There weren't very many sales but I did manage to find a few things. I love this first piece and can't wait to find the time for a makeover!!! I see white paint in it's future. It was a bargain at .50.

I had been wanted to buy some cork board....I'm so glad I waited.....3 squares for .75!!!

A liscense plate???? I'm not sure!!! I bought this for my daughter....it was .50!!!

This was a great find....recycled paper!!! I've already used half of it for an end of the year project to hand out to all of my daughter's teachers. Well worth the .25 for all of these sheets.

I just can't pass these up especially at this price......50 cents!!!!
My collection is growing!

I love this lamp. It was a splurge at $1.50 (compared to everything else)!!! I thought about a paint makeover but, it's kind of cute as is!!! Hmmm, I'll have to think on this one a little longer.

It was new....my mom took it and added all of the tulle, and the strip around the middle. I made the flower and added the brooch. I love everything.....the dress....the jewels....and the boots!!

Finally!!! Finally I'm learning how to do lots of things I've always wanted to do. It helps to have the right tools!!!! Funny how you receive a scanner and your world opens up to endless possibilities!!! This is the Victorian scrapbook....yes...again!!! My $5.00 book!! Yeah throw in the goodness of the book with the price!!! It's awesome!
