These are not exactly new designs, maybe except a piece or 2 but I decided to package my necklace and earrings into a set to create more value for my dearest customers. The sets uses gemstones such as tiger eye, obsidian, red coral and green aventurine as focals, while swarovski crystals act as highlights. The usual price for separate pieces would be: necklace at US$20/S$30, bracelet at US$17/$25 and earrings at US$13/$20. But now, the sets are going as such:

It's Not Goodbye - I Will Be Back Soon!

Following my last post that I would be closing down Crystals & Gems, I received lots of sad plea from friends and customers, asking me why I had to close the blogshop totally...

A few of them encouraged me to push on, advising me that being today's modern woman, it is absolutely possible to continue to design creatively, while taking care of a new baby. Who knows? The little one might bring on design inspirations? Most importantly, there would be people out there who would miss my designs...

So, with newfound confidence, I decided to just be taking a hiatus, rather than shutting down my blogshop completely. So, my space and my shop will still be here and I am still open to taking orders and customised designs but new creations might probably take longer to come along.

But, hey, people say the best comes to those who waits... so I will be back soon! (well, I am really hanging around anyway, in between milk feeds and diaper changes...)

Closing Down My Jewellery Blogshop - Crystals & Gems

It is with a heavy heart that I decided to close my jewellery blogshop - Crystals & Gems. You see, I am waiting for the arrival of my baby boy and am afraid that I will not be able to keep up caring for him, as well as the blogshop. Hence, the decision to devote most time on him and to let Crystals & Gems sing its swansong.

To my dearest customers - I would like to thank everyone for their support and I would continue selling the available stocks I have until they are out.

"Hoodwinked" Red Aventurine Gemstone Chips Necklace

Hoodwinked is a sister design to Bewitched, using a different gemstone - red aventurine. Despite being called red aventurine, the chips are actually more orangey in colour. However, the varying shades of orange gives the necklace texture and depth. Hoodwinked goes well with dresses of dark earthy tones, and of course the LBD.

Like Bewitched, it also measures a cool 36 inches Wear it once over for a long slim look, or you can do a double twirl for a shorter elegant version. Gain more mileage but doing multiple twirls of Hoodwinked to wear it as a sparkly bracelet.

After a tiring day at Rummage yesterday, I knew I needed some colours to boost my energy. Might sound cliche but I saw a butterfly dancing outside my room and instantly remembered I had some pretty butterfly charms lying somewhere.

So here's the end product - a sweet, dainty classic of bracelet. Pretty butterfly charms adorned with rose pink and lime green swarovski crystals. The bracelet measures 16 inches with an 2 inch extension.

New Month, New Start - I am on Etsy!

Yesterday was my last day of fun at Toy Outpost. I cleared my box and went away with a heavy heart. But that heaviness did not last long, as I am having fun somewhere else - Etsy! Etsy is the world's largest handmade market place and you can buy and sell handmade or vintage items, art and supplies there!

I am now officially on Etsy and will add items from this blogshop there, as well as load up new ones. No worries about deciding where to buy your accessories from. You can get them both here or at Etsy.

However, I would have a special supplies section only in Etsy. So, for those of you who are interested in getting some of the the pretty beads or gems I used in my creations, you gotta head down to Etsy! Also, I will sometimes introduce specials & promotions that might apply only to the blogshop or only to Etsy, so make sure you visit both places to find the best bargains!

After 3 months of experimental fun, I have decided to push the pause button at my Box 40C at Toy Outpost.

The Reason Why I Disappeared...

After disappearing on the blogosphere for a week... I am back. You might have missed me cos I went on an amazing race of Western Australia. This is what we covered:

Perth --> Bunbury --> Busselton --> Margaret River --> Pemburton --> Perth --> Swan Valley --> Fremantle -->

It was a cool plus-minus 20 degrees in Perth and just a little lower as we go south. Nonetheless, the trip had been inspiring. The different sights and sounds during the trip have given my creative juices a boost and you will be sure to catch new designs over here soon.

In the meantime, enjoy a nice polariod photo of a leg of my trip, taken with my iphone... (ok, an iphone cannot take polariod photos... it is a free app I downloaded. But it looks nice anyways, right?)

This is my first piece of commissioned work for a rosary. Given the sacred nature of the rosary, I felt I had to put in my best-est effort to make this piece a real beauty.

The rosary comprises of Hail Mary beads made of real amethyst gemstones in 6mm rounds. Our Father beads were stunning 8mm Swarovski round crystals in light amethyst. The entire rosary is a nice regalia purple. The rosary comes together with a connector with Mother Mary's beautiful portrait before ending with an elegant crucifix.

When worn, the rosary falls nicely down the neck with the crucifix ending perfectly at the centre of your heart.

"Turquoise Dream" Gemstone Necklace - SOLD!

An elegant necklace made out of 31 turquoise round gemstones in graduated sizes, spaced with 3mm silver beads. Starting from a small 4mm round, the necklace extends to the middle with a large unique 15mm turquoise round as a focal. The necklace measures about 16 inches and looks gorgeous with white tube top.
