More New Artists Sign with Creative Soul

We're having a great year, and are happy to announce several new artists that just got going with new projects!

Laurie Guard is a singer/songwriter from Illinois who is working with Creative Soul on her first professional EP! Laurie came and spent a day with us in our Christian Artist Workshop last year.

Ope Borofice is also a singer/songwriter but who we first heard of in our 3-Song Critique. We're now working on an entire album for him.

We're also currently working on a concept EP for "Esther Generation", a very cool, R&B/Praise project.

Back for her 6th (or is it 7th?) record is Jamaican-born Eleanor Riley. We've been putting reggae beats to her songs for over a decade now and this looks to be the best album yet!

Also back for album number 3 is the fun sister group Eternity Focus from Kansas. With changes like a sister getting married, it's going to be an emotional record, but we think it will be a real step in a new direction.

Most recently, we signed with young singer/songwriter/keyboardist Channing Gillespie last week! Channing is almost local to Nashville, and we have spent a few days at Word working on his songs. It's going to be a fun ride!

New Artists join Creative Soul for 2014

We've signed several new artists for the new year including Canadian singer/songwriter Margaret-Rose Henry and the exciting and energetic Jay Kim Band.

They join the soulful Count Laws from Detroit, worship leader and songwriter Jessica Deml from Green Bay, WI, young and talented songwriter and vocalist Skylar Kaylyn from Wyoming, and George Tifft currently recording new projects with us.

We have a host of projects finishing including Stephanie Newton's newest CD "On My Best Day", the next amazing record from Stephen Bautista, and new projects from Sharon Roshell, Jen Haugland, and many more.

We're busy and getting busier! And we love it.

New CSRtist George Tifft in to Begin Traveling Ministry

George Tifft has been doing music a long time, but is taking his ministry on the road - literally. Realizing a dream he shared with his wife, who passed on recently, he bought a motor home to tour with his ministry in her honor.

"It was always our dream, for me to pack up in an RV and tour the country doing music ministry," George says. "So I'm doing it in her honor, and finally getting this ministry out there as she always wanted."

George will be in to go over songs with Creative Soul president and producer Eric Copeland, and working with engineer Steve Dady at Sunset Blvd. Studios in Brentwood, TN.

Jeannette Petkau releases her newest video for her single "Inside Out"

After seeing success on national radio charts, Jeannette makes her final push with the single "Inside Out".

"This song really expresses what I feel is an important thing we sometimes forget," says Jeannette. "We need to show the world our faith and what's on the inside, and not just what's on the outside."

It's been a season of finishing projects that started in early 2013, and the end of the year is seeing new projects starting up.

Jessica Deml is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader from Wisconsin working on her first full CD.

Skylar Kaylyn is a talented 16-year-old singer and songwriter from Wyoming ready to start on her second CD, this time with the Creative Soul team in Nashville.

Count Laws hails from Michigan, and brings his smooth R&B sound and deep voice to Creative Soul.

We're very excited to be working on these new projects!

Samuel Wilson is revving things up in his music ministry.

First up: a new single, "It's Me Who Leaves". Written by producer and Creative Soul Records president Eric Copeland, the song talks about how if you feel far apart from God, guess who moved?

Samuel also had a great weekend recently singing for services at Prestonwood Church in Dallas, Texas. Thousands attended the service and heard Samuel perform from his new CD, "The Secret of Life".

Craig Whittaker Launches Second Single

Fresh off a #2 national single, Creative Soul Artist Craig Whittaker has launched the second single from his "Standing" album.

The single is "Little Things", and in Craig's words: "No matter how small or insignificant you may feel, God can use what you may think of as little and turn it into something grand for His glory. Quality Pays Off - CSR Artists Awards

As anyone who has been around Creative Soul Records very long knows, quality is Job #1. And it continues to pay off.

Several Creative Soul Records artists have been nominated or won several awards in the past month.

Angela Donadio (whose record "It's a New Day" was released on Creative Soul Records in 2010) has won First Place in the Contemporary Christian Music Network International (CCMNI) 2010 Songwriting Contest for her song "Nail Pierced Hands". CCMNI is a membership organization that networks Christian songwriters, worship leaders, artists and bands.

Creative Soul roster artists Canopy Red and Craig Whittaker have both been nominated for awards in the 10th Annual Independent Music Awards. Canopy Red was nominated for Best Christian Contemporary Song of the Year for "All Around Me", and Craig Whittaker was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Album of the Year for "Standing". The Independent Music Awards is an international competition that offers a year of marketing to over 1 billion music fans around the world.
