Mind on Matter chemistry event at the Canada Science and Technology Museum

Become a budding chemist at the Canada Science and Technology Museum as you discover how chemistry touches your everyday life. Experiment with reactions that make rockets fly sky-high, and launch your own antacid rocket. Make “magic” mud, have fun with cabbage juice, and discover how light and chemistry combine to expose photographs. It’s all elementary during this fun chemistry weekend.

Free Electronic Recycling Drop Off

On Saturday May 15, 2010, the Canada Science and Technology Museum will be providing a free electronic waste and car battery recycling drop off service. This event is part of the Museum's environmental program and will help keep electronic waste out of the landfills.

Inaugural Science and Tech Soirée Raises $75,000

Ottawa, Ontario – A 'sold out' crowd of 367 guests was at the Canada Science and Technology Museum Thursday evening to raise funds to support youth access to Museum education programs in the National Capital Region and across the country.

The inaugural Science and Tech Soirée raised $75,000 dollars to be shared in support of students attending schools serving communities with socio-economic challenges to Museum programs, and to the Museum's EduKits program, which provides access to first-class science education to students from coast to coast to coast.
