Greetings in Jesus…!

So here we are already in May of 2012! I can‟t believe how fast things are going now! Well, I just wanted to start out by saying THANK YOU SO MUCH to those of you who are helping this ministry to continue on in this late hour through your prayers and financial support. Really! Looks like things may get interesting soon. Perhaps this month! With the sudden rise of gas prices and all, what‟s likely to happen is a domino effect. Even before the gas prices, I‟ve heard reports of other financial problems kicking in this month. But as they say in the land down under, no worries mate, we still have God‟s promises that He will continue to supply all our needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus! (Phl. 4:19).

Yet God also tells us to consider the ant. That little ant you find crawling around out there prepares. So do many other critters. So what about us? I was a boy scout. Our motto was Be Prepared. It was a good idea then and perhaps a better idea now. If you haven‟t seen any of those prepper shows on The National Geographic Channel, you should. If you don‟t have that channel, I‟ve taped a few episodes. Just let me know if you would like a copy.

Interesting Holiday this month… Pentecost!

Pentecost (Greek: Pentēkostē means “the Fiftieth day”) is an important feast called Shavuot in Israel celebrating God giving the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mt. Sinai. For Christians, it commemorates the Holy Spirit‟s descent upon Christ‟s remaining 11 disciples after His Resurrection. (Act. 2:1-31). Therefore, it is the birth of both Judaism and Christianity!! Pentecost is celebrated 7 weeks (50 days) after Easter Sunday. Biblical interpretation holds that the Descent of the Holy Spirit took place in the Upper Room while the Apostles were celebrating Shavuot. (Luk. 22:12-13).

Pentecost is also known as The Feast of Weeks. Under Pharisaic Law, Jews sacrificed the first fruits of their crops to God in thanksgiving. Since God sacrificed His First Fruit, Jesus Christ, we continue to celebrate His Gift with the realization that God’s very life, breath, and energy lives in, with, and among us through His Holy Spirit.

John’s Gospel (20:19-23) tells us of the Risen Christ‟s visit to the disciples on Pentecost. He stated to them, “Peace be with you, As the Father sent me, and so I am sending you.” After saying this, Jesus breathed on them and added, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” The breath was the life of Jesus Himself. It is the Fruit of Jesus. Born Again Christians are God-breathed and Pentecost celebrates that reality.

This year Pentecost falls on Sunday, May 27th and going into the 28th in some areas outside of Israel.

God has a wonderful sense of timing! There was both the birth of Judaism and Christianity on the same day! There is then the possibility that the Church returning to Heaven or the Rapture taking place during “a” Feast of Pentecost. Is this the year? I have no idea. Plus, we still have the Jewish feast of Rosh Hashanah or the “Feast of Trumps” or “trumpets” in the fall. This year it falls on September 17th Israel time and going into the 18th in the West. Again, I cannot give you the date of the rapture of the Church but what‟s interesting is this: When Jesus said no man knoweth the day or hour, the word “knoweth” here is interesting. According to the Strong‟s Exhaustive Concordance there were two words Jesus could have used. “eido” or “ginosko.” Should

He have used the word “ginosko,” it would have meant, „no man knows.‟ Period! But for some reason, Jesus used the word “eido,” which means „no man knows this intuitively or without effort.‟ So apparently, “with effort” this would be obtainable knowledge.

I just got in a great DVD by Carl Gallups entitled, The 7 Feasts of Israel & Jesus. He‟s the one whose You Tubes have gone viral on the internet about Barak Obama‟s name meaning “fallen from heaven.” If you would like a copy, it‟s available for a gift of any amount this month.

Smart Meters….Not so smart for you!

Did you know your power company has the right to spy on you? Did you know that they can obtain information about you such as, when you‟re on vacation, when you have guests, and if you‟re running a business out of your home? They can even tell you the wattage of your electric toothbrush!!! They even keep records of this stuff. Do you know how? Smart meters are FCC approved radio transmitters. This means your private information is going over the airwaves for anyone to get! It is a vivid profile of your personal life and what goes on inside your home!

This is a search without a warrant!! If the police get a hold of your information, it gives them PROBABLE CAUSE to search your home. There‟s something else called, Implied Consent. This means that if a power company guy asks you if he can change your meter and you say, “Sure,” then you are giving IMPLIED CONSENT to have your home bugged!! They don‟t even have to tell you what they are doing. Why would you need a new meter when your old one worked perfectly fine?

So what should you do? Write to your power company and tell them that you do not want a smart meter attached to your home. I would definitely send this letter, registered, return receipt requested. This way they can never put this on your home without you knowing.

Also, wireless Smart Meters infiltrates your home with electro-magnetic radiation that increases your risk of disease and disorders. This radiation travels for a few miles in all directions and pierces through all non-metallic mediums. If your community has 1000 homes, then 1000 smart meters are exposing you and your family to their radiation, even when they‟re not active! And while the meters fire off intermittently, they have a cumulative effect on your health over time.

Who’s Really Spying on You?

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently fined Google $25,000 for taking their sweet time in giving information to them about an interesting project they were working on.

Most of you are probably familiar with Google Maps, where you can search for directions to wherever you need to go and even get a street view of the area. Google funded trucks to go around with cameras on them in order to record this information.

Not a big deal right? Well it wouldn’t be a big deal if those trucks didn’t include technology on them that apparently would wipe all of your personal information off of unsecured wifi connections.

Just in case you don’t know what that means, if you have wifi in your house and it didn’t have a password on it to protect it, odds are that Google has all of your personal information…

And what do I mean by personal information? Everything. Passwords, websites you’ve visited, financial records, absolutely anything that you have ever done on your home computer, Google now has. Think about it this way: If you can’t live without the internet, odds are that Google has your life.

The FCC Did Nothing.

Apparently according to the FCC, Google did nothing wrong. That’s right. According to the government (who by the way has millions of dollars of contracts with Google) they had a right to spy on you. Actually, I misspoke, Google did do something wrong according to them, they delayed the information they gave to the FCC… The world’s search leader said that searching their own employees‟ emails and getting statements from them would be a “time consuming and burdensome task.”

Here is a company who can gather ALL of your personal information in a nanosecond from the air outside of your house and they had excuses as to why it would take too long to get the information about why they did it.

So for delaying a federal investigation, they of course were fined heavily and people were sent to jail right? Wrong.

For all of that, they were fined $25,000. What does that ‘hefty’ fine mean to Google? Take all the money you have out of your pocket. Now take the lint out of the bottom of that pocket. That lint has the same value to you as a $25,000 fine does to Google. It’s not even a slap on the wrist.

When contacted, Google’s employees refused to make statements as to why they were recording this information. That sounds like they have something to hide doesn’t it?

Oh and don’t think Google has pulled this trick off just in America. They did the exact same thing in 29 other major countries. Google doesn’t just spy on the U.S., they spy on the world. No one has rights in a Google run world. And our Government (who, let me remind you again, contracts Google to supply it data) is doing nothing to stop it.

It’s Not Just Google… In 2007 an AT&T employee couldn’t understand why National Security Agency (NSA) representatives were visiting his office in San Francisco on a regular basis. He never saw them in the office before and couldn’t figure out why they would have anything to do with the private phone and web provider.

His curiosity got the best of him and he followed a few people around his office building, which led him to discover that the sixth floor of his building was under considerable construction and security. This made no sense to the man, who kept poking around until he found documents describing what was in the room. What he found should shock you.

The NSA had contracted AT&T to build this secret room and collect all of the data from 16 major phone and internet companies…

ALL OF THE DATA…Every phone call, every internet site, every password, every financial record…you get the idea. Basically any piece of information that came from you, AT&T collected and sent off to the government.

Now the NSA says that they don’t read through information that has been given to them. They say that a computer sorts through this information and it is never really looked at by human eyes unless it’s linked to a terrorist organization. If the data wasn’t linked to anything criminal like that, it was deleted…or so they say…

Fast forward to a recent directive from President Obama in 2012. As we reported a few weeks ago on Absolute Rights, the President signed an executive order which allowed the NSA to keep non-terror linked information for up to five years. That’s an interesting number isn’t it? Five years means that the data that has been stored from AT&T since that mysterious room was built has most likely been sitting on a shelf all that time. But who needs that old data anyway when Google is updating it daily.

What Can You Do?

You need to protect your privacy. Sure that’s easy to say, but there are things that can be done to help secure your data.

First, know your rights, or lack thereof.

Know that these people are out there ripping off your information. So password protect your internet. Don’t keep open connections. Clearly the Government isn’t going to stop companies from spying on you, so what says they don’t already do the same thing.

You should know that you little to no privacy over everything transmitted over the internet. That means emails, data, and even phone calls.

Yes, phone calls on the internet on what is called Voice Over IP, or VOIP, are up for grabs to whomever would like to listen to them.

The only phone calls protected now are those on land lines and some cell phones.

The next thing you can do is to not put personal information on the internet. If you don’t need to bank online, don’t.

Sure, things seem convenient when you are sitting at home ordering whatever you need off of the internet, but how convenient is it when you are being tracked by everyone and everything who has the technology to do so.

Finally, base your life in the real world and not online.

Sure that sounds silly, but if you can’t live without the internet, you are in trouble.

Make sure that you can function without the internet. Don’t rely on it for everything. It should be common sense that if luxuries like electricity goes, so do things like the internet. If you can’t make it without the web, not only will you not survive a major disaster, you also won’t be able to survive a minor thunderstorm.

It’s important to know that your information is out there. With the recent discoveries about how Google and AT&T operate, odds are that all of your information is out there. Make sure that you can take the proper precautions to protect yourself from all of the eyes that may be looking over you.

It isn’t a safe world out there, and knowing that your private lives have been spied on by Google and other companies doesn’t feel good, but it‟s good to know. Because if you know what is going on around you in the world, you can be prepared for anything.

Be safe and be smarter than what they think you are.

Free Energy….And, why we don’t have it.

First, this is not a Christian film or movement. You will find things about aliens and how to beat the system according to man‟s wisdom. Because it‟s not Christian, it doesn‟t discuss Bible Prophecy. There‟s a way to harvest this energy right now. Unfortunately, we may never have access to it because big corporations will lose money. And you all know how money drives everything!!! Even though it‟s not Christian, the info is interesting as you hear from well-respected and well-known people talking about this subject!

Whatever Happened to Iodine?

You remember that red stuff your mom would put on a cut to be sure you wouldn‟t get an infection right? Well, I learned Iodine is a great thing to take in case the need arises to fight off radiation poisoning from a nuclear attack. It‟s also great for: alleviating gas, sinusitis, mild pain, viral infections, acne, reducing cholesterol, and bug bites.

So, I put it down on my shopping list to pick up at Wal-Mart. But I couldn‟t find it. After asking the pharmacist where it was, she told me I could no longer buy it at a store anymore. I was of course shocked! Something as common as Iodine? But then she whispered to me, try your local feed store. So I stopped by on my way home and sure enough, they had plenty. Big bottles and much cheaper this way! But then I was asked, is this for a farm animal or yourself? I said, well I suppose it works for both right? I was allowed to buy it but not without first allowing them to make a copy of my driver‟s license. How weird is that?! So I suggest you pick some up yourselves but you might not mention it‟s for yourself. It seems everywhere I turn I find more on a well orchestrated plan for population reduction. You can also buy it through Ebay without any hassle.

Here‟s something else to think about: What if you can‟t get to the doctor and you have an infection that you really need to take an antibiotic for. Did you know that pet meds are the same as human meds? There‟s fish meds called fish-cillin, fish-moxin, fish-lex, etc. These are human anti-biotics used for fish. And, you can buy these without a prescription on Ebay!!!.

What’s a Root Cellar and what can it do for You?

I was down at the Post Office the other day talking to one of the mail clerks. She happened to mention that she and her husband have a root cellar and have been using it for years. This is a great way to preserve all kinds of veggies. She told me how they put in a hundred pound bag of potatoes and they stayed good all winter long without freezing.

If you can‟t build a root cellar as the photo above you can use an old refrigerator. Dig out a hole just big enough to drop the refrigerator (door up) and bury around it. This allows the ground to keep the inside at an appropriate temperature year round, the humidity level accurate and allows access to a small amount of food. This could also make a great storage area for canned goods since they can spoil if they reach 105 degrees for a prolonged period of time. Below 105 degrees canned goods can last for years!

If our power goes out for an undetermined period of time, this may be the best way to preserve foods for survival purposes.

Here are some storage times for a few foods:

Apples: I don‟t foresee growing these, but they‟re considered the „queen‟ of storage fruits.

Beets: good keepers. The „Long Keeper‟ variety is just that — a great keeper. The leaves are vitamin-rich. Can last 4 to 5 months in storage.

Brussels sprouts: might keep 4 to 5 weeks if kept in perforated plastic bags. This reminds us we might want to stock up on plastic grocery bags for this purpose.

Cabbage: if it splits, it won‟t keep.

Chinese cabbage: can last up to 3 months. You can even replant them in a box of soil in the root cellar.

Carrots: a summer planting is best for winter keeping. They‟re the backbone of any food-storage plan. The roots are rich in vitamin A and they can last several months in storage. With adequate mulching, you can even keep them in the garden for the winter.

Cauliflower: keeps only a short time at best, 2-4 weeks.

Celeriac: a good keeper.

Celery: see how late you can keep this in the garden, and then maybe you can get a month or two of storage out of it.

Garlic: needs lower humidity than root vegetables. If you can find a cool, dry place, it can last 7-8 months.

Horseradish: very hardy and a good keeper.

Jerusalem artichoke (sun choke): can last several weeks in plastic bags or in damp sand.

Kale: high in vitamin content, easy to grow, extremely cold-hardy.

Kohlrabi: the leaves are good to eat. Packed in damp sand or sawdust, it can keep well into the winter.

Leeks: especially cold-hardy. Can make it through a winter outdoors if well mulched, or you can plant some in your root cellar in tubs of sand or soil.

Lettuce: has a short storage life.

Onions: seed-grown onions are especially good for storage.

Parsnips: these are perhaps the hardiest of all root vegetables. Be sure to dig them out. If you pull them, you can lose half the root. If you nick the roots with the shovel, don‟t store them. Nicks and blemishes invite spoilage, and this applies to all root vegetables. For longer storage, pack them in damp sawdust. Leaves, moss, or sand will work well too. The leaves are edible.

Sweet Potatoes: the roots are vitamin-rich, and they can keep several months if stored well. Must be cured.

White Potatoes: beware of planting the kind you buy in the store — they may contain disease. Cool nights promote storage of starch, making for a longer-keeping potato, so the later-maturing ones are best for storage. Must be cured and kept in a dark spot. They can last 4-6 months.

Pumpkins: those that have lost their stems won‟t keep well.

Winter radishes: they‟ll last until February if well stored.

Rutabagas (Swedish turnip): will last 2-4 months in storage.

Squash: if it‟s well stored, it will keep for up to 6 months. Cure them for 10 to 14 days. Like pumpkins, keep dry and moderately warm.

Tomatoes: late-planted tomatoes are best for storage.

Turnips: these are among the hardiest of vegetables. In storage they might put out pale, leafy tops, good for stews.

Nailed to the Cross…

Question…What do Mormons, Jehovah‟s Witnesses, 7th Day Adventists, and Catholicism all have in common? Well, at least 3 things really, all 4 go under the name of Christian yet are considered mainstream cult groups, all 4 teach of Works- based doctrine or trusting in their own righteousness for salvation and, therefore, never obtain it, and all 4 believe it is possible to lose your salvation. Oops, I believe I just stepped on some toes of true born-again Christians who also believe you can lose your salvation. We find this predominantly in legalistic Christian churches who haven‟t quite figured out the vast differences between the Old Testament and the New Testament. This happened to the Galatians as well. “Are you so foolish having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?” (Gal. ch. 3).

You know, I remember when Whitney Houston died. She was saved at a young age. She was raised in the Church. I mentioned in a newsletter that she‟s now in heaven and I caught flack from some Christians saying, „how you can say Whitney is in heaven! She did this, she did that, she was a sinner, she was even on drugs! She went to hell!‟ But the Scriptures do not say the wages of sin is death and hell, it says the wages of sin is death…but, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord! And because it‟s eternal life, it‟s eternal! God‟s not into spiritual abortions!

You know, when I was a Mormon, I really did strive to be perfect. But as hard as I tried, I just couldn‟t do it. Then later when I got saved in 1974, I thought, „alright, now I have the power to become perfect.‟ And I strove for that again,but again, I failed! And then I finally got it!

We see in Scripture how the Law is eternal. But what we seldom hear is that the Law was nailed to the cross. (Col. ch. 2). And that is why it‟s eternal! We are saved by grace through faith right? What‟s grace? Grace is unmerited favor. That‟s hard for any boy scout to grasp because we had to EARN our merit badges. But we‟re saved by unmerited favor! That why it‟s called amazing Grace! Now maybe you‟re concerned about this eternal security thing. Or maybe you know someone else who is.

Medical Murder…?

I remember when I was just a boy, if I got sick we would do little more than take an aspirin or some tea with honey and lemon. I‟d always get better in a day or so. But if I got real sick, my mom would call the doctor, he would come on out with his black leather bag, look me over, and give me some other medicine and I‟d get better within a few days. The whole visit and medicine would cost a total of $20.00. That was then, this is now. Now, there‟s so much talk about Obama Care, health insurance, and how so few can afford it.

But what we don‟t hear all that much on the news is that so many pharmaceuticals that are being passed by the FDA are killing people off! This is nothing more than medical murder! God, Judgment and the Weather…

The History Channel did a special in the beginning of this year entitled: 2011: The year the Earth Went Wild. There were so many records broken concerning the weather last year! Well, on April 14th, it was reported 135 tornadoes touched down in only one day! Nothing like this even happened last year! And now we‟re in May! What on Earth is going to take place the rest of this year!

We are experiencing earth changes like never before. It is apparent we are running up to the end. But as we are, what a time for telling people about the end times! They are finally listening to us! So let‟s take advantage of this. While you might be busy prepping for hard times, don‟t forget to tell people why. I‟m sure Noah did.
