Santa Loves All Kids. Even Ginger Ones Like Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon

Nothing has changed since last year. The Sedgwick Detert hackers hired by psycho Sedgwick Detert attorney Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams are still hacking and stalking this blogger online. Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon ordered this blog hacked after learning that a private investigator uncovered rather salacious and lewd images of his wife. Ironic, isn't it. Mr. McGeehon obtained stolen photos from this blogger's computer from the Dailybooth hackers. After he threatened to disgrace and publicly humilate this blogger if she pursued litigation against his firm, a private detective turned the tables on Mr. McGeehon. Tit for tat, eh Mike McGeehon? No pun intended.

In August, the identity of computer hacker Beth Sheresh of SystemsResearch.org was exposed as a Washington State hacker and best friend of Toni Towe. We also linked Autodesk of San Rafael and San Francisco to Beth Sheresh. Matthias Liechti is married to a woman from Thailand, who just happens to be a close friend of hacker Beth Sheresh. Don't these pathetic people have a life?

Dailybooth hackers Jon Wheatley, Catrific aka Catherine Valdes, Ryan Amos and Ryan Dice Kusaba continue to hack and harass this blogger and infect her template with malicious code and other acts of cyber terrorism. Next week, we seek a permanent Order of Protection against psychotic stalker Toni Towe and ask the court to jail her for countless violations of our restraining order. We will ask the court to jail her forthwith.

In the meantime, lawsuits for money damages against Michael B. McGeehon, psycho attorneys Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams takes place next week. Of course, we look forward to the findings of the State Bar against Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams and await our call to testify against them in State Bar court. Merry Christmas, indeed! Our NorCal attorney is preparing a lawsuit against Dailybooth, Jon Wheatley and his hacking network ASAP. We found the spyware in the university computer we've been using and we are waiting for the police to analyze it. Of course, it was spyware. Jon and Dice embedded an "ox" program in our blog template. That's a new one. See ya in court hackers and stalkers!

This despicable Christmas card is no relic from the past. It was pulled from retail card racks this week after complaints were filed by the outraged public. People can be cruel. Even when it comes to the color of one’s hair. No doubt, Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon was teased during childhood as a “ginger” head.

Therefore, you would think Mr. Michael B. McGeehon would be more sensitive to my personal rights and feelings as a target of the Sedgwick Detert malignant lawyers and bullies who continue to hack into my computer, harass and threaten me into silence. Yet, in the face of undeniable evidence and ongoing criminal and State Bar investigations, Michael B. McGeehon continues to ratify the actions of his attorneys even with the knowledge of the anguish and injury I am subjected to on a daily basis. Moreso, a federal court judge exposed fraud and corruption by the Sedgwick Detert law firm in a recent court ruling dismissing a frivolous Sedgwick Detert lawsuit, which was nothing more than a thinly veiled “shakedown” of a deep pocket target.

Today, I draw a line in the sand. The Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold law firm is hereby placed on formal notice. Cease and Desist forthwith and compensate me for the damages you have caused me to date. Your failure to do so will result in an immediate federal court law suit in the United States District Court, Central District of California for injunctive relief to prevent any and all persons acting at the direction of any Sedgwick Detert attorney from continuing to hack, annoy, destroy or access this or any of my websites pending a trial for a permanent injunction.

Additionally, I will seek $5 million dollars in damages against the Sedgwick Detert firm and its agents and representatives for Violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Identity Theft, Cyberstalking, Invasion of Privacy, Extortion, Destruction of Personal Property, Spoilation of Evidence, Personal Injury and Punitive Damages in an amount to be decided at trial. The suit will name Michael B. McGeehon, James Craig Williams and Sedgwick Detert Computer Hackers, inter alia, Ryan Daisuku Kusaba, Chad Scira, Jon Wheatley and his DailyBooth crew: Tam Denholm, Paul Fraser, Emilie Rose Burt et al.

This is my last warning. I am fed up with this madness. It ends NOW!

Martha Stewart’s Gingerbread Cupcakes
Makes 10.

* 2 teaspoons baking soda
* 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 2 teaspoons ground ginger
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
* 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
* 2/3 cup packed dark-brown sugar
* 1 cup unsulphered molasses
* 2 large eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten
* 1 recipe Butter Glaze
* 1 recipe Chocolate Glaze
* 1 recipe Meringue Buttercream

Cupcake Baking Directions
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 10 jumbo muffin tins with paper baking cups, and set aside. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil. In a bowl, combine boiling water and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl, sift together flour, ground spices, salt, and baking powder; set aside.
2. In an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter until light. Beat in the brown sugar until fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes. Beat in the molasses, baking-soda mixture, and flour mixture. Beat in the eggs.
3. Fill the cupcake papers three-quarters full, making sure that the batter is divided evenly. Bake cupcakes until a toothpick inserted in the center of them comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Let cupcakes cool a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before decorating.

Butter Glaze for Gingerbread Cupcakes
Ingredients
Makes 1 1/2 cups, or enough for 10 large cupcakes.
* 2 1/2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
* 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
* 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons milk

Directions
1. Place 1 1/4 cups confectioners’ sugar in a medium bowl. In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Remove the pan from heat; immediately pour the melted butter into the bowl with the sugar. Add 4 teaspoons milk; whisk until mixture is smooth. Working quickly, dip the top of each cupcake into the glaze, and place cupcake right-side up on a wire rack.
2. Repeat step 1; glaze remaining cupcakes. Allow glaze to set, about 20 minutes, before decorating.

Chocolate Glaze for Gingerbread Cupcakes
Ingredients
Makes 1 3/4 cups, or enough for 10 large cupcakes.
* 6 ounces best-quality bittersweet chocolate or semisweet chocolate
* 1 cup heavy cream

Directions
1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces, and place in a medium bowl. Scald the cream, and pour it over the chocolate. Let the mixture stand 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.
2. Let the glaze stand at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
3. For the smoothest possible surface, carefully dip the cupcakes into the prepared chocolate glaze. Let cupcakes drip, dripped-side down, for several seconds, and then turn right-side up. Allow glaze to set before decorating.

Meringue Buttercream
Ingredients

Makes 5 cups.
* 1 1/4 cups sugar
* 5 large egg whites
* Pinch cream of tartar
* 1 pound (4 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the sugar and 1/3 cup water to a boil, and boil until syrup reaches soft-ball stage (a candy thermometer should read 238 degrees).
2. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat the egg whites on low speed until they are foamy. Add the cream of tartar, and beat on medium high until the mixture itself is stiff but not dry.
3. With the mixer running, pour the sugar syrup into the egg-white mixture in a steady stream, and beat on high speed until steam is no longer visible, about 3 minutes. Beat in butter, piece by piece, on medium speed.
4. Add the vanilla extract, and beat for 3 to 5 minutes, until the frosting is smooth and spreadable. If the frosting looks curdled at any point during the beating process, keep beating to smooth it out. If the frosting becomes too soft for piping, stir it over a large bowl of ice water until it stiffens.

Almost two (2) years ago, attorneys identified as Joseph R.McFaul and J. Craig Williams aka Craig Williams hired computer hacker Ryan Daisuke "Dice" Kusaba to break into my computer network during pending litigation brought against their client for cyberstalking and libel. The client began to stalk this blogger online, a complete stranger, after developing an irrational obsession with me in an internet weight loss community. The client went so far as to create a libelous website to publish false and malicious statements about this blogger that ranged from the bizarre to the outright psychotic.

Dice Kusaba recruited his former Sony Imageworks Interactive web engineer buddy Chad V. Scira to assist him in breaking into my computer. They didn't work alone. Kusaba's long time hacker buddy, Jon Wheatley desperately needed money to launch his startup, Dailybooth.com, with co-founder Ryan Amos. In turn, Wheatley directed his world wide band of hackers and cyberstalkers to repeatedly invade, infect and corrupt to date, fourteen (14) computers and smartphones belonging to this blogger.

The client recruited her hacker buddies from the Seattle, Washington area, spearheaded by former Microsoft employee and Remote Access Experts Beth and Doug Sheresh, of Systems Research Corporation as well as family members in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and other states on the Eastern seaboard. To date, the Sedgwick Detert client and family hack into and invade this blogger's computers to destroy her legal work, data, research, evidence, photos and personal information at all hours of the night and day.

In January 2010, this blogger took refuge in Las Vegas, Nevada to escape the Sedgwick Detert campaign of terror. The hackers found her in three (3) days. In February 2010, an email purportedly from a hacker informed Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon that law enforcement discovered incriminating evidence from phone records and other electronic media which revealed the identities of the Sedgwick Detert hackers and other involved 3rd parties.

That email was sent to only one person on this planet. And that sole individual is Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon. The sender, an undercover investigator watched his message spread like a brushfire across the internet from the San Francisco headquarters of the Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold law firm to London, England where it was ultimately published as a heads up by Jon Wheatley in his Webetalk.com hackers forum. In essence, Sedgwick Detert General Counsel forwarded that crucial email to Sedgwick Detert attorney Joseph R. McFaul where it was transmitted to Dice Kusaba and ultimately Jon Wheatley. General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon advised the concealment, destruction and alteration of evidence in a pending criminal investigation and obstructed the administration of justice by seeking to thwart the process of the court by highly unethical means.

Consequently, the Sedgwick Detert hackers amped up their tactics and invaded several more computers of this blogger's network at a loss of over $10,000. The Las Vegas Regional Court issued an emergency restraining order against seminal hacker Ryan Kusaba, which was promptly violated by a brutal network attack against this blogger costing her an additional $10,000+ in damages. Ryan Daisuke Kusaba is in this country on a Green Card. He is a Japanese citizen. Kusaba faces deportation when convicted of a felony. His employer, Sony Pictures Entertainment has been notified of his ongoing stalking and computer hacking.

In late February 2010, this blogger managed to "fall off the face of the internet" but that didn't stop the Sedgwick Detert hackers. They pursued every machination and spurious trick to track down her physical location, including but not limited to redirecting her email, stealing the identities of her friends and families and other social engineering scams. This blogger has been forced to incur over $25,000 in car rental costs to evade detection by the Sedgwick Detert hackers.It's worthy of note, that the purchase and registration of a vehicle in the state of California would expose her residence to the Sedgwick Detert hackers within seconds. Sedgwick Detert client "Crack Ho Melissa Jo" is a retired California Highway Patrol dispatcher with active contacts at the CHP who have computer access to the registered address of every vehicle in California and the tri-state area, which includes the state of Nevada.

In March 2010 a Las Vegas resident using multiple aliases, inter alia, "Bella," "Bella Rae," "Daisy," "Lala," "Lawanda" aka "Cupycakey.com" created a cupcake blog as a pretext to stalk this blogger and lure her into an immediate "friendship." Cupycakey.com's motive was specifically designed to gain the inside track during the ongoing criminal investigation against her fellow Sedgwick Detert hackers. The Cupycakey.com blog was created to serve as a reverse honeypot. "A honeypot that masquerades as an open proxy to monitor and record those using the system is a sugarcane." Source: Wikipedia. This blogger became immediately suspicious of Lawanda's barrage of emails and social media "friendship" requests and blocked her from further access.

The Sedgwick Detert hackers infected this blogger's eleventh (11th) computer in March 2010. They installed a Trojan virus and hooked up her internet connection to their own server to control her internet access. Viewing this blogger's online hotel reservations to Phoenix, Arizona the same weekend as a high profile social media event led the Sedgwick Detert hackers to finance Lawada's travel expenses to the same conference for the sole purpose of stalking their hapless victim. Fortunately, this blogger did not attend the Phoenix confab, but Lawanda was there. She registered under the phony name "Daisy" and was photographed in attendance by an Orange County blogger who also serves as a Deputy for the Orange County California Sheriff's Department.

When that stalking scheme failed, Lawanda lay in wake for this blogger at a local Las Vegas bakery in order to surrepticiously follow me to my Las Vegas residence. Fortunately, after being ignored for an hour by a very busy baker, Lawanda gave up her mission and departed but not before leaving behind crucial evidence of her identity. Lawanda created her blog portraying herself as a Caucasian woman but was compelled to reveal her true image online as an African-American to quell growing suspicion about her bizarre multiple identities.

Lawanda created numerous fake identities using the names of Disney Princesses. Just another form of social engineering. This blogger had a widely known relationship with Disneyland as a member of its former Creative Advisory Council and remains a big fan of Disneyana. Once again, Sedgwick Detert attorneys created a ruse to gain this blogger's confidence for illicit, unethical and criminal purposes.

The Cupycakey.com blog uses Statcounter to monitor blog activity. The purpose was to direct this blogger to the Cupycakey.com website, which, of course, would immediately, reveal her IP address, city, state, computer operation system and physical location to the Sedgwick Detert hacker network. Hackers need to know their victim's current location to scan wireless networks to discover their target's computer. Lawanda made her Statcounter reports public which permitted the rotating band of hackers to randomly check the logs for this blogger's current location. Quite clever and unethical conduct ratified and authorized by Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon.

The cyberstalking, harassment and outright terror nearly drove this blogger to suicide as a result of the devastating emotional torment and the financial losses of equipment, data, photos and extortionist threats to publish her personal and confidential credit, banking, legal, business and medical data and photos on the internet. Every time this blogger mustered up the strength to fight back she was beaten down by a multitude of malicious hackers protected by the formidable Sedgwick Detert law firm and armed with endless manpower possessing high tech and sophisticated computer skills designed to outwit the most tech savvy pro.

Law enforcement has established that attorneys Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams were driven to their criminal schemes by financial desperation because their former Newport Beach law firm Williams-Lindberg Law Firm was bankrupt and on the brink of financial collapse. Joseph R. McFaul was broke and burdened with the responsibility of supporting his adult drug addict/alcoholic son Brendan P. McFaul. Employed by an insolvent law firm, saddled with mounting debt and unpaid rent of his dope fiend son, Joseph R. McFaul chose to commit numerous felony crimes against this blogger out of greed and malice. McFaul hatched his nefarious plans when he discovered a large judgment awarded to this blogger on public record and other assets he planned to grab by prostituting the legal system.

Attorneys Joseph R. McFaul and Craig Williams schemed to "steal" this blogger's money by obtaining fraudulent awards of attorney 's fees obtained by default, lack of notice and extrinsic fraud. McFaul recruited hired hacker Ryan Kusaba and company by and through the gamer network of his stepson through his marriage to Marybeth McFaul, Franklin Alex Friedman aka Alex Friedman aka FAF of Orange County, California. Alex Friedman was the conduit that connected Kusaba to McFaul and Craig Williams. Kusaba was paid to break into this blogger's computer to locate financial information that McFaul intended to use in order to seize her assets by abusing the process of the court.

This blogger is not the only victims of Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold attorneys Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams. McFaul willingly committed insurance fraud against his client's liability carrier, The Hartford Group, by submitting fraudulent bills to finance hacker Jon Wheatley's start up costs of Dailybooth.com and Ryan Dice Kusaba et al.

Fortunately, this blogger discovered the scheme and was able to secure her assets before they were stolen by these corrupt attorneys. Law enforcement soon identified McFaul's hackers as Chad Scira and Ryan Dice Kusaba. Fearing job termination, criminal prosecution and deportation back to his native Japan, Kusaba amped up the harassment by literally placing a bullseye on this blogger's back. He commanded his international network of hackers. stalkers and malcontents to hack, harass, torment, corrupt, destroy, infect, invade and obstruct this blogger's computer network and her right to use the internet without restriction.

In February 2009, the Williams-Lindberg Law Firm went bankrupt and was bought up by the Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold law firm. Ironically, on March 3, 2009, when Sedgwick Detert sent out a press release heralding its new attorneys, McFaul and Williams, this blogger was in a court room obtaining a t order from the trial court vacating one of McFaul and William's fraudulent stratagems obtained without notice or knowledge that dismissed her action in its entirety. The judge ordered this blogger's lawsuit restored to the civil active list on the grounds that McFaul and Williams used fraud and deceit to obtain a dismissal of the action by withholding notice and willfully misrepresenting law and fact to the court.

Subsequently, this blogger brought the criminal and unethical conduct, including McFaul's threats of violence and mayhem, to the attention of Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon. In the face of the knowledge of this and ongoing criminal and repugnant conduct, McGeehon did NOTHING to end the computer hacking, harassment and terror. Indeed, free from fear of consequence, McFaul accelerated the computer hacking and harassment, which continues to date.

Enough is enough. This blogger has declared war against these malignant tumors of the internet and the legal community. She is holding every culpable party civilly and criminally liable for the harm to her and her family. This legal nightmare ends now. The State Bar is actively involved in bringing charges against McFaul, Williams and McGeehon. Law enforcement in two states and three different cities are investigating and documenting the ongoing conduct by those that have willingly chosen to threaten and harm this blogger and her family. Restraining orders, injunctions and appropriate legal action is being filed against each and every person involved with McFaul and Williams.

To accelerate the criminal prosecution against attorneys Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams aka Craig Williams, this blogger is offering a $10,000 REWARD to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of these repugnant attorneys. If you aided and abetted these Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold attorneys in the computer hacking and stalking of this blogger, you can redeem yourself and avoid criminal prosecution. I will offer any accomplice amnesty from penal action if you come forward and cooperate with law enforcement to file charges and secure a conviction against McFaul, Williams and McGeehon.

I can forgive a bunch of twenty-somethings who were tempted by the lure of a quick buck. However, Sedgwick Detert attorneys Michael B. McGeehon, Joseph R. McFaul and J. Craig Williams should be disbarred and in prison for what they have and continue to do with relative impunity. An attorney is an officer of the court. Paying a bunch of computer hackers to break into an adversary's computer is beyond redemption and should be punished within the fullest extent of the law. Covering up the crime and threatening their victim with blackmail and extortion to prevent prosecution is shocking and should not be tolerated by the system and the California State Bar.

It's worth noting that for months, this blogger was emotionally and mentally overwhelmed by the 24/7 assault against her computer network, social media accounts and entire use of the internet. This blogger has been candid about her vulnerability and history of depression and recovery from an eating disorder. The actions by Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold attorneys Joseph R. McFaul, J. Craig Williams, and Michael B. McGeehon in the face of that knowledge is outrageous and warrants the most punitive criminal and civil sanctions and penalties.

Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon has been the most brutal perpetrator. His Sedgwick Detert hired hackers stole highly sensitive medical photos from this blogger's computer. McGeehon has been threatening to blackmail this blogger with illegal publication of her private photos if she pursues legal action against Sedgwick Detert. Fearing threats by Sedgwick Detert General Counsel Michael B. McGeehon has deterred this blogger from seeking civil and criminal recourse against the corrupt Sedgwick Detert law firm, until now. This blogger will not be blackmailed and bullied by a shyster attorney or law firm any longer.

Think about your future. Do the right thing and cooperate, testify, make financial restitution and most of all show REMORSE. Confession is good for the soul.

I was headed downtown to Union Square on Sunday morning to meet up with an out-of-town friend when I was distracted by the sight of cupcakes being consumed on a Geary Street sidewalk cafe. I immediately stopped into the storefront and scanned the cafe pastry case to no avail. No cupcakes.

I stopped and sheepishly asked Jay where he bought the cupcake he was eating with unabashed pleasure. He pointed to a tray of cupcakes on the table. Hello Kitty cupcakes! His buddy, Bob, generously offered me a cupcake, which I politely declined as I was enroute to breakfast. Bob purchased the cupcakes at a local San Francisco grocery store at reduced price, sparing Hello Kitty in her confetti sprinkled buttercream glory from cupcake heaven.

This moment of serendipity made my day. Hello Kitty cupcakes are near and dear to my heart. These guys are heroes in my book. They proudly posed for these photos and the proof is in their smiles. Cupcakes make people happy!

Last month I was invited to Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California in an attempt to untangle the web of madness caused by the omnipresent hackers who hijacked my email content and photos, invaded my gmail accounts and blocked me from accessing my own Google hosted blogs. It was a fun experience, in spite of the devastating mess created by mean spirited people who have no regard for my privacy rights.

In any event, the employees and legal department at Google were very helpful and extended every courtesy to make this nightmare a bit less stressful. Google is a huge place. I was like a kid in a candy store gawking at the sights of the biggest tech company on the planet. My first stop was the lobby of Building 44. I was dumbstruck by the biggest cupcake sculpture I have seen to date. Of course, I captured the moment with my Zen Cupcake wand.

After meeting with Google management, some of my problems were resolved within a couple of hours. After a long afternoon, I was invited to dine at Google's "No Name Cafe," which prepares "simple nutrient rich foods prepared with your health in mind." Naturally, I eyeballed the cafe for cupcakes, but that evening, muffins were served at the buffet. However, I was reassured that cupcakes do have their place in Google culture. Geeks are known to be cupcake lovers.

Health and fitness is emphasized throughout the Google complex. Bikes are everywhere. They have daily sand volleyball games on makeshift greenbelt beaches and even a rooftop swimming lap pool. Every building has a cold case of Odwalla health drinks for the taking. And, Google encourages its employees to fast one day a month and donate the cash savings to local charities.

It was a fun cupcake day at Google. And I am very, very grateful for Google's time and attention to my email and blogging concerns.

Cupcake Body Image: All You Need Is Love and a Cupcake

Today, September 19, 2010 is a very special day for this blogger. Seven years ago on this date, I underwent weight loss surgery, also known as gastric bypass surgery, for the treatment of morbid obesity. In the weight loss surgery community your surgery date is also known as your "surgiversary." A weight loss surgery date is a milestone or rebirth in your new life. In the thirteen months following my surgery I lost 141 pounds or 85% of my excess weight. Weight reduction of 65% or more is considered a successby most bariatric surgeons.

To date, I've succeeded in maintaining 100% of my surgery weight loss. I've also lost an additional 30 pounds over the past 18 months. Total weight loss to date: 171 pounds. I'm not "thin," but I am a normal sized, healthy and active woman who wears single digit (6 or 8) size clothing.

Undiagnosed thyroid failure prevented further weight loss for several years until my condition was treated following an auto accident while on holiday in Sydney, Australia 2005. To my doctor's amazement, I kept my weight loss steady with virtually no metabolism. The formula? Diet and exercise. Behavior modification does work. Although, according to weight charts I was no longer "obese," I still considered food my enemy. Little did I realize that I still suffered from disordered eating despite my massive weight loss and new relationship with food.

Striving to reach an ideal body image is difficult in today's body/fashion/sex obsessed society. Personally, for me it was a daily pre-occupation. I refused to taste let alone indulge in anything that I considered to be a "treat." Following surgery I underwent intensive therapy to deal with the emotional issues that underlie morbid obesity. I explored the reasons I became morbidly obese. As part of my recovery, I learned to avoid "trigger" foods that would encourage eating binges. Most importantly, I learned the concept of "equilibrium." If I ate excess calories one day, I would increase my physical activity or reduce my calories intake the following day in order to maintain my weight.

Still, I refused, rather denied myself any pleasure from food. No candy, no birthday cake, no holiday desserts. Until I reached my personal weight loss goal and saw a "magical" number on the scale, I believed that I did not deserve to eat certain foods and that included cupcakes.

Sprinkles Cupcakes opened a store in the Corona Del Mar shopping center near my Orange County home. It immediately attracted cupcake loving crowds. I would stop by Sprinkles and gaze lovingly through the window at the trays of cupcakes that beckoned to the people in line. Still, I refused to buy a cupcake because I was not at goal weight.

Finally, one day, after tormenting myself for months by adhering to my self-imposed diet of deprivation, I stood in line to buy one, just one, cupcake. I purchased a strawberry cupcake crowned with pink frosting, of course. My first bite of that Sprinkles cupcake was heaven. The cake was delicious; the frosting sweet and smooth. I ate two more bites before wrapping up the other half.

Eating that Sprinkles cupcake was an important moment in my ongoing recovery from an eating disorder. Like any other addict, I take it one day at a time. However, the day I bought that cupcake was the day I declared myself "at goal " and learned to love my body.

As I removed the paper cupcake wrapper, I looked around at the other people sitting at the outdoor tables. They represented all shapes and sizes. People were enjoying their cupcakes and talking, laughing, sharing and having fun. That's what life is about. Food is not just nourishment. It represents love, culture, history, family, friendship, holidays and joy. No one stared at me eating a cupcake even though I was still visibly a few pounds above my ideal weight. I realized I was condemning myself because I still didn't look like those women in magazines. Truth be told, I'll never be a tall slyph-like cover girl idealized by our culture because I don't have that kind of gene pool. But, by all standards, I accomplished my weight loss surgery goals. Once a raging diabetic on the road to kidney dialysis, I became medication free and asymptomatic within 6 weeks of surgery. Nearly bedridden from obesity and co-morbidities, after surgery I became energetic and physically able to stand on my feet all day and walk for miles and climb stairs without tiring.

Subsequent to my surgery, I've climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, bolted up 265 steps to reach the top of the world's largest outdoor Buddha in China, walked across New Zealand in 7 hours, trekked to the top of the Eiffel Tower and seen every corner of the world up close and personal instead of viewing it from behind a windshield.

I've been able to wear 4 inch heels and shop at all the fashionable clothing stores that were off-limits to fat girls. I created and became the community manager of the largest weight loss surgery support group on Yahoo with over 7000 members worldwide. I'm loved by a man who adores me just as I am. I'm idolized by my 9 year-old niece as her new mommy. Most of all, I found self-love and learned to appreciate my physical and emotional transformation as well as limitations as I become the woman I was always meant to be.

My fear of regaining my pre-op appetite and eating a dozen cupcakes in one sitting never materialized. I eat cupcakes, albeit on a limited basis. And when I do over indulge, I remember the concept of "equilibrium" and cut back on calories or hit the treadmill.

I love cupcakes because they are a throwback to the simplier times of childhood. Cupcakes are joy. Cupcakes are cute. Cupcakes are pretty. Cupcakes are passion. Cupcakes are social. Cupcakes are fun. Cupcakes are happiness. But most of all, cupcakes are love.

Orange County's First Mobile Cupcakery--Oh For Sweet Sakes!

It makes me happy to start the new incarnation of ZenCupcake.com with a post about Orange County's First Mobile Cupcakery, Oh For Sweets Sake! Owners and operators, Al and Lisa Johnson are two of the sweetest and hard working cupcake people you'll soon meet. I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa and Al on their first day of business back in May 2010 at the Santa Ana Artist Walk held once a month in the newly gentrified Art District of Downtown Santa Ana. Let me tell you, parking a food truck is no cakewalk. Those trucks are huge and not easy to maneuver. I introduced myself and was warmly invited inside "Cupcake Central."

Cupcakes ain't easy, especially mobile cupcakes. It's not a job for the faint of heart. It gets very warm inside the truck and space is very, very limited. You'll stand on your feet for hours and need to serve, fill orders, deal with customers. collect money and package the cupcake orders at a quick pace. Lisa shared the genesis of Oh For Sweets Sake! It took almost two (2) years of planning, experimenting with recipes and flavors, business plans, compliance with local ordinances, licensing and other red tape involved in starting up a food service business.

Nonetheless, I watched Lisa and Al open for business and serve the waiting crowd with their freshly baked cupcakes and sweet treats. Lisa and Al are true business people and aim to please. They constantly exchanged discreet verbal memos to each other on ways to improve customer flow, payment methods and the like in order to fine tune their business. In less than three (3) months, Oh For Sweets Sake! has taken off and received positive press, rave customer reviews ( including noms from this blogger) and was recently nominated for the Food Network's Favorite Food Truck giveaway. Cupcakes are hard work and it has certainly paid off for Lisa and Al's mobile cupcakery.

My latest treat from Oh For Sweets Sake! took place today at the Irvine Food Truck Summit. I arrived to a huge crowd of hungry cupcake fans clamoring for Lisa's cupcakes. Chocolate Overload was the big favorite of the day. I returned awhile later and decided to try the "Designer Twinkie." Shhh. Don't tell the cupcakes. ; )

It looked just like a Twinkie, but the Oh For Sweets Sake! version amped it up with a drizzled chocolate topping, a creamy middle and a surprise dollop of berry flavored jam tucked inside moist vanilla cake. Nom Nom Nom! Translation: Yummy!
