I've always been a doodler. I have pages and pages of doodles on calendars, books, envelopes, cups and pretty much anything else that was in reach.

Recently we've been allowing the girls to take their sidewalk chalk out in the driveway to draw. My mom had an even older 8mm camera that we borrowed and stuck a roll of film in. I think the entire film length was limited to 5 minutes so we felt like we had to work fast.

In this video you will find vintage 70's skateboards, fun banana seat bikes, grade school sneakers and some really wacky clothes.

Please ignore the quality of the film. The bad condition actually adds to the coolness of the video. Enjoy the movie and don't forget that we were only 10, 11 and 12 year olds.

See The Movie. I'm not sure what draws people to want to see zombie movies but whatever it is, it can be addicting.

I have been highly anticipating the new movie Zombieland with the notion that it might be one of the best zombie movies to date. Well, I finally was able to see the movie and here is my very unprofessional movie review.

I loved it! If you're looking for fun this movie is it. Short, sweet and to the point. The movie is short enough and moves along so fast that there is simply no time for lulls.

The laughs keep coming the entire ride and the characters are great. The zombie rules will be quoted for years to come and should a virus take over the world we will all know how to survive.

The only zombie flaw of the movie is that it is not your traditional, people stuck in a building with zombies all around, type movie. It is actually more about the characters than the zombies. If there was ever an uplifting zombie movie made, this is it!

The zombie kills are fantastic but not overly sick and very funny. This is not a movie made to gross you out. Other than a good amount of cussing this might even be fun for a young teenage audience.

As the leader of the sneaker wearing zombies I whole heartily give my zombie approval of Zombieland. Grab your popcorn and be prepared for a really fun time.

Big kudos to the surprise celeb in the movie!

From Oklahoma to Kentucky via YouTube

My famous Farrah picture shows up in Kentucky. I didn't think so. I have not been able to update much because I've been keeping myself busy. Wanna hear about my latest venture?

Well, you're going to anyway. My goal is to one day have a very large, thriving greeting card company. I started my little greeting card studio in 2002 and named it ChuckleBerry's. We've been taking orders and printing cards right out of our house for years.

I've sold cards in most every state in the Union and created a good wholesale business that has been supplying cards to gift shops, book stores, casinos, and hospitals.

To make a long story short, I've moved my entire operation from out of my little studio and teamed up with a company called Zazzle. Zazzle handles cards and merchandise for companies like Disney, Hallmark, Build-A-Bear and many others.

Zazzle.com now holds my greeting card catalog, takes my orders, prints my cards, ships the order and handles returns. I'm finally free to spend more time marketing and promoting my cards. I've actually only uploaded a portion of my entire collection but will have all cards online soon.

If you need a funny greeting card and would like to help out the little guy in the greeting card business, please consider buying some of my cards. You can see my live greeting cards here.

If you are remotely interested in investing in my growing little company please let me know. I know the ChuckleBerry's characters and brand will be a huge success in the very near future. If you need wholesale greeting cards or would like to earn extra money by becoming a rep visit this wholesale site and read all of the opportunities.

Thanks for checking on me! I appreciate it. I'll try to add more funny thoughts, photos, videos and more as I create a little free time.

Chuckles!

My Happy Feet

Sorry about the lack of updates! Can you believe it? For That Sneaker Wearing Dude it doesn't get much better than that!

Here are the first pair of All Star low tops designed by cartoonist Curtis D. Tucker. We start with the tongue, a cool combination of multi-colored polka dots from top to toe. I've also carried that pattern throughout the lining of the shoe. We then work our way to the outer panel which is a nice moonlight blue which will work great with jeans.

The inner body is the more traditional off white which makes this pair compliment almost anything. The racing stripe is all white and I finished the body off with a clean white color on the rubber sidewall.

The laces are an off white along with the stitching throughout. The heel stripe rounds out the sneaker colors in a phaeton grey. I've finished off this awesome pair of sneaks with a personal message along the back heel that says Sneaker Guy, lettered in white.

They should arrive in about 2-4 weeks at which time I will model them for you. Stay tuned!

Is Curtis Tucker Stalking Vince on Entourage?

I'll never tell. I remember paying 50 cents to see many movies and usually only on special occasions. There weren't as many movies being released and there weren't multi-plex theatres.

So, seeing a good movie in the 70's had a pretty lasting impression on a young buckaroo. This is my Top 10 list of those movies that left a lasting impression on me. These of course are not the best movies of all time from the 1970's but these are my favorites. Enjoy the list and let me know which ones left lasting impressions on you.

1.) Close Encounters of the Third Kind - This movie was the coolest. I still watch it every time it comes on. I think this was the first movie I got to go see as a young junior high student on the weekend.
2.) Jaws - The best suspense movie of the decade. If only every kid could see this at the movie theatre as their first thriller movie.
3.) Star Wars - Wow! Who would have thought you could do that on a movie screen. Special effects before there were special effects.
4.) Animal House - Oh my gosh! The best boob movie for any young man in the 70's. Most likely the funniest movie of the decade.
5.) Saturday Night Fever - Can you say disco? The songs alone were enough to remember for a lifetime. Loved the dancing hated the acting.
6.) The Poseidon Adventure - An awesome adventure movie! Non-stop action. This movie was way cool in the 70's.
7.) Rocky - Yo.
8.) The Goodbye Girl - I thought Richard Dreyfuss was a great actor. This was a fun movie and I really like the theme song. I think this was my first chick flick.
9.) The Warriors - If you saw this movie and didn't want to go out and start a fight you just weren't normal. The best gang movie of all time.
10.) Phantasm - A little known horror flick that was ahead of its time. This movie had a cult following and that cult was my buddies and I.
11.) Smokey and the Bandit - Tran Ams and CB radios! Two of the coolest things you could want as a kid.

Okay, I had to add one because there are just so many. There are also many 70's movies that I love but I did not actually see until it was the 80's, like MASH, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Halloween and many others.

Breakfast Club Quotes

In honor of one of our favorite coming of age movies we are putting together a fun website full of Breakfast Club Quotes. Here are a few of the things we got away with when we were kids in the 70's...

1. Rode bikes without helmets
2. Boarded planes without being searched
3. Opened pill bottles with ease
4. Ate paint chips
5. Drove in cars with no seat belts.
6. Rode in the back of pick-ups.
7. Stayed home without 911
8. Never had a cell phone in the car.
9. Ate red M & M's
10. Rode skateboards without pads.
11. They remind me so much of being twelve, growing up in the 70's. I had a very close group of friends that would find adventure in everything we did, much like the characters in Stand By Me and Now and Then.

We spent almost every day together in the summer and would skip dinner just so we could play late into the night. We were always outside running around the neighborhood playing games and tricking neighbors non-stop.

I've always wanted to write a book based on our summers of fun with a few added twists and turns. The movies listed below are the closest examples of the good times we had as youngsters. I know there are many more coming of age movies but these top my list and have bits and pieces that remind me of days gone by. They are in no particular order. Enjoy and if you've missed any of these, they would make great weekend rentals...

1. Stand By Me
2. The Goonies
3. Now and Then
4. Pretty in Pink
5. Dead Poet's Society
6. St. Elmo's Fire
7. October Sky
8. Breakfast Club
9. My Girl
10. American Graffiti

Update: 07/11/09

This list has gotten so popular I've decided to add another 10 movies. If you have not seen the first 10 watch those first and then check these out. Again these are in no particular order.

11. Sixteen Candles
12. The Sandlot
13. The Outsiders
14. Almost Famous
15. Dirty Dancing
16. Breaking Away
17. School Ties
18. Summer of '42
19. Mona Lisa Smile
20. The Man in the Moon

Bonus: 13 Going On 30 (A great little girl in big body movie)

Today is 123456789 - Make Some Money!

At 12:34:56 today all of the numbers will align. During the festivities each guest at the party was asked to lie in the casket for a photo. Was this me foretelling the eventual death of Michael Jackson in 2009?

How could I know in 1993 that he was going to die 16 years later? If this photo had been released sooner could Michael have been saved? There are many questions left to be answered. Why did I choose to be MJ that Halloween? Why was there a coffin at the party? Why did I get into the coffin as Michael Jackson? Why am I wearing a single white glove?

We may never know the answers to these questions so the mystery remains. Did a young cartoonist in central Oklahoma know something that the rest of the world did not? How could I know that Michael would eventually die while others were completely oblivious?

Now I don't claim to be psychic but the facts do speak for themselves. I understand how shocking this photo may be to many MJ fans. Please believe me when I say this is not a TMZ photo of Michael Jackson today. It is a photo of me in 1993. I know it is hard to tell but as you can see my skin is darker which is proof that I was imitating an earlier version of Michael.

This could also explain my obsession with zombie movies. Did Thriller effect me so deeply that I am now addicted to the zombie genre? Am I destined to become a zombie? I once saw Vincent Price in Stillwater while I was attending school at OSU. I'll leave you with the words he told us live during his talk...

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'alls neighborhood

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom

And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller...

Disclaimer: This post is meant to be a light hearted look at the media frenzy over the death of Michael Jackson. This photo is not meant to be morbid or disrespectful to the loss of Michael Jackson. In fact this is my tribute to MJ. He was a bit twisted but a great performer. RIP Michael Jackson.

The Ultimate 70's Photograph

(click photo for larger view)

Okay, look what I dug up! Since Farrah's passing I have been getting a ton of attention about this photo with me opening her poster. I was recently featured on the homepage of CNN.com! A writer from CNN interviewed me for a story on Farrah being the last, great pin up star. I'll post the article on the press page as quick as I can.

Here's a link to the story... link.

The photo will also be appearing in the next issue of Travel Girl Magazine.

(Click for a larger view)

The year was 1976 and I was a young, very impressionable kid. Farrah Fawcett was taking the world by storm and I was smitten. This is the moment I received my very own Farrah Fawcett poster.

I hung this poster on a wall in my bedroom and began to add magazine pictures, photo clippings and other memorabilia until that entire wall was completely covered. Charlies Angels was a hit and I had every promotional photo ever taken in my collection.

I will always remember the 70's and that iconic poster.
