To be fair, while there’s always standard sausages available, for most parties people bring their own meat – be they marinated steaks, fancy sausages, vegie kebabs, hot chicken wings (Hylas’ preference), or something else entirely. For me, my preference is vegetarian sausages – there are a great variety of brands and flavours available now, and I no longer have to warn the person tending the bbq that there’s plastic to be removed from each individual sausage (which was something people often learned the hard way back in the early days …).  And they are delicious, especially with HP Sauce!

Summer barbeques means the chance to catch up with different friends. And when it’s a kinky barbeque? Then I get to wear something scandalously short, and be very much myself:

Arthur knows he’s a voyeur too. But that’s why he’s so very good at his job.

Every once in a very long while, there’s something that catches his attention. Something not quite right. Sodom: Comfort Levels

My heart is not small – my emotional heart, that is. My pillow one is pretty big too (although technically that one belongs to Hylas!). My big heart is full of opens doors; it’s bruised and scarred; and it has lots of space. Its walls are flexible and expand easily to fit more people in.

And I like my heart that way – it’s my design, and my choice. But some hearts are static. Some hearts are just one room filled with just one person. The Big Ugly

Leaning against the bar, Linus watched his pet. Only to find, as he came around to face her, that her eyes were closed and she was … was that a smile?
