[REVIEW] Benefit Cosmetics Dream Screen

Hi folks! If you follow my instagram, you might notice that I've uploaded this product a few months ago. Truthfully, I realized how important a sunscreen is just recently. Bad girl, huh? lol

I am not quite fond of sunscreens, actually. My sensitive skin doesn't react very well with it, and the ones I find acceptable on my skin, is too sticky to my liking. But this one is an exception. I've proven it!

Benefit Cosmetics Dream Screen

Benefit Cosmetics Dream Screen is Benefit's sunscreen product that has SPF 45/PA+++, which is pretty high. Living in a tropical country such as Indonesia, protection this high is an absolute must!

PACKAGING (4.5/5)

The packaging is made from sturdy plastic. The bottle is flat (sort of...) and minty green in color. I like it. The cap is pretty unique that it looks like a cork. The product name is labeled in white. It has a pointy tip to dispense the product (I don't find quite the right term for it.. My bad..xD), which is great if you're a hygiene freak. As for me, the tip is nice so you won't dispense too much product which is a waste. However you have to be careful though. If you shake the product too vigorously, the product will bleed around the tip, so you have to scrape it; which is not very hygienic, right?

Anyway, the outer box is also pretty as well, but I've already thrown mine to the trashbin. You can still see a glimpse of it in my instagram post, though.

PRODUCT (4.5/5)

The product has SPF 45, which means it protects our skin really well from UVB, and also has PA+++, which is strong enough to protect us from UVA. Luckily, it doesn't cause me to break out. The product is milky white, but will turns out invisible upon blending. It's pretty runny. You need to shake really well before application, but don't shake too vigorously! As I've explained above, the product runny texture will bleed out if you shake too hard. The BA at the counter said this product suits people with dry skin better, but I guess this suits oily skin too, since it is able to control oils around my T-Zone good enough.

APPLICATION (4/5)

Although the product is runny, it doesn't glide that easily during blending. It also gives you a kinda thick, sticky, and waxy feel right after application, and also looks kinda greasy. However, when it dries, it turns matte, silky, powdery, and really lightweight. It's no longer sticky! Decepting! But I do have to remind you not to apply too much, or the thick, waxy feeling will last throughout the day. While it doesn't even out your skintone or gives any coverage, it does smooth out your skin quite well. I think this works similarly with POREfessional. In fact, adding POREfessional on top of this product gives me a smooth, flawless looking skin. I don't even need to apply foundation anymore! (But I do have to apply concealers, though!)
One very great thing from this product that it doesn't leave me with that super horrible white cast on my face when I take picture with flash. Nice!

LONGEVITY (5/5)
The most important thing in sunscreens is its longevity, am I right? Luckily, this product lasts long enough on my skin, with or without powder on top of it. I can't tell if it's waterproof/water resistant or not, though. xD The product stays put on my skin for approx. 6-7 hours before it starts to feel less powdery than when I just applied it. But, sun doesn't shine for the whole 24 hours a day, huh? I guess that time range is enough.

Benefit Dream Screen is my current HG sunscreen for now. It's lightweight, silky, powdery, and matte. It smoothen the skin appearance; if you have not too many skin problems, you'll find out that you won't need foundation or powder anymore. and is also able to control oil secretion, although not as good as oil-control specific products. Despite the small bottle size, I found that a little goes along the way. You won't need too much product to cover your entire skin, or you'll feel like your face is covered with wax.

Repurchase? YES, definitely!

[REVIEW] B.liv by Cellnique Off With Those Heads

Welcome back, folks! As I promised, I'll tell you my experience when using B.liv by Cellnique Off With Those Heads!

B.liv by Cellnique Off With Those Heads

To refresh your memory, I'll give a short information about this product. B.liv by Cellnique Off With Those Heads is a skincare product made especially for getting rid of those pesky, stubborn blackheads and whiteheads on your face. (In the future I'll just refer this product as B.liv, as the name is super loooonnngggg and mouthful)

B.liv is a clear gel -they categorized it as serum- with a distinct scent of peppermint. It's very pleasant, I have to admit. Luckily, although it smells like peppermint, it doesn't have that annoying feel like "balsem" (really, I don't know the English term for balsem. Some kind of menthol-contained ointment.....?) I hate that so much. Oh! The scent reminds me of toothpaste. xD

To use this product is really simple. All you have to do is pump out the product; one pump is more than enough for me, -A little goes a long the way. xD- and apply it on areas with blackheads and whiteheads. For me, it's my nose (severe blackheads) and chin (whiteheads). My whiteheads aren't too annoying, so I focused more on the blackheads on my nose. Anyway, make sure your face is well cleansed and toned before applying this product! Use it twice a day, morning and night before bed.

For people with sensitive skin, B.liv claimed there might be a slight tingling sensation, but luckily on me there's no such feeling.

B.liv said that result can be seen after 7 to 14 days of usage. I, myself has been using it for exactly 14 days by the time I write this post, using it twice a day as instructed. How's the result on me? Well, see it yourself. (Click to enlarge picture, so you'll get a detailed look of my nasty blackheads xD)

(whoops, sorry.. I am breaking out right now. Hormonal. I am in PMS time...)

As you can see from the picture, my blackheads have been partly cleared! Note that the product WILL NOT remove the blackheads by itself, but it will soften them and "lift" them to the skin surface. You will need pore strips, peeling mask, or blackheads extractor, anything you fancy, to remove it. I favored pore strips, as it's easy to use and can pull multiple blackheads at once. And I am impressed when I saw a lot of blackheads being removed on the strip. I never get that much of blackheads removed by pore strips before I use this product. Awesome, huh?

However, from what I get, I assume that if you have more stubborn blackheads like mine, you'll need longer time to clear all of them. 14 exact days of usage only cleared like 35% to 50% of my blackheads. Well, I am still impressed, though. There's never a product working as effective as this.

B.liv by Cellnique Off With Those Heads costs you USD 49 for 30ml of product. Pretty pricey, I know. But it's really worth to purchase. As I said above, anyway, a little goes along the way. So I think that price is pretty good. A bottle can last until 3 months, I guess.

[INTRODUCTION] B.liv by Cellnique Off With Those Head

Hey folks! Sorry for the late update! I am supposedly to publish this post days before, but since I am quite busy preparing for my upcoming trip, the post has been kinda.. neglected... lol.

My biggest issue since I was teenager is BLACKHEADS. I need to cap that. Blackheads. I really hate them. They're as stubborn as my head (lol); no matter what method I use, I never been able to get rid of them.

Then one day I got an email from a company named Cellnique who offered me to review one of its company line's, B.liv, product. The product name is Off With Those Head. Interesting name, huh?

And here's what the product looks like :

So.... What is it actually?
B.liv is a line created by Cellnique, a "paramedical" brand known for its skincare, targeting the younger generation market, especially in Asian countries. Off With Those Heads itself is a product; a gel in form; made to help us in getting rid of blackheads. According to the product descriptions I received along with the email, this product will soften the hardened, stubborn blackheads and whiteheads, so it will be easier to remove without too much squeezing. Whoa.... Making me more and more excited to try the product!

Why am I so eager to try and see the result on me, you ask? Well, let me tell you this.. As I've said above, my biggest issue is blackheads. If you are curious about how severe it is, here's a picture (WARNING!! Gross, disturbing picture of disgusting blackheads xD)

Scary, isn't it? Ewwww......

So, the main question now..... Does it really work on me? Well, I'll update it in a few days! Stay tune, okay?

[TIPS] How to Clean Your Skin Properly

Hello folks!
This idea about today's post has been in my thoughts since quite a while. I did a little chit chat with several of my friends about this, and I realized that quite a lot of girls don't really know how to cleanse their face properly, especially after they were wearing makeup. So, I will share you some tips.

FACIAL CLEANSING STEP BY STEP

1. Clean Your Face Using a Facial Cleanser. After a day of activity, with our without makeup, you should clean your face from oil, dirt, sweat, etc. If you're not wearing makeup, then a regular face cleanser will be okay, but if you're wearing makeup, you have to remove it with a makeup remover.

What's the difference between regular cleanser and makeup remover? While a regular cleansers do remove the dirts from your face, it doesn't really do a good job at removing makeup, especially foundations and waterproof makeup (eyeliners/mascara). Most drugstore-brand regular cleanser sold here in my country contains a high level of alcohol, which can sting your eyes when you try to remove your eye makeup, and also very harsh for dry and/or sensitive skin like mine. Makeup remover, on other hand, is oil based, in order to be able to remove makeup. There are many types of makeup remover out there; cleansing pads, creams, oils, gels, etc. Cleansing oil, in my opinion is the best cleanser, since it gave you a deep cleansing and also able to remove even the most stubborn makeup (oh, hi waterproof mascara, I am talking to you!! lol) Eye and Lip Makeup Remover is a type of oil-based removers, which is gentler than regular cleanser, because it's specially made for those said area, which skin is more delicate than other area.

My own cleanser at the moment is Bifesta Age Care Cleansing Lotion. It's quite pricey, IDR 110.000 (USD 10) for a bottle with 250ml of product. But a little goes along the way, if I can say. I only need 2-3 pumps for removing my entire makeup. The downside, it's not very good to remove waterproof mascara. I'm still looking for better remover. xD

2. Wash Your Face with Facial Wash. After removing the makeup, wash it! Never leave your face just as it is after cleansing with cleansers. While cleansers can remove dirts, the cleanser residue on your face itself needs to be washed. You are free to use your favorite facial wash/foam, however, I am not recommending you to use facial wash with scrubs (exfoliating facial wash) on daily basis. The scrubs or exfoliating agent in those kind of wash is abrasive to your face, it can strip natural oils needed for keeping skin moist, and also strip the skin cells itself, leaving your skin very dry, thin, and sensitive. If you have acne, it can also make your acne worse too (that was my big sister's case; long time ago). Only use scrubs/exfoliators once or twice a week.

I have two holy grail facial wash. Yes, TWO. The first one is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It contains no soap, therefore no foam/lather will be formed, but it's really great for my super dry-sensitive skin, since it cleanse without stripping the natural moisture on my face. I use it on daily basis.

However, since Cetaphil doesn't form any foam/lather, I sometimes feel my skin is not perfectly clean, especially after I wear heavy makeup. So, on days when I wear heavy makeup, I wash my face with my second holy grail facial wash; The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Aloe Cleansing Foam.

Out of the 5 variants they offer (there are Lemon, Aloe, Acerola, Mung Bean, and Peach), I choose Aloe because I know Aloe is good for dry sensitive skin xD (I've tried Mung Bean and Peach too, and they broke me out x_x).

When you wash your face, don't forget to give a gentle massage all over your face. Rub your face wash in circular motion starting from both cheeks, chin, then moving to nose, and lastly forehead. Pay attention to areas like sides of the nose, jawline, and hairline. Never, rub your face in rough motion. Be gentle to your own face, or you'll have premature wrinkles sooner or later.

Rinse well, and once again, don't forget areas like sides of the nose, jawline, and hairline. Make sure there's no foam left on your face. Wipe gently with clean, soft towel, and remember not to rub harshly.

3. Apply Toner. Alright, last step! After you wash your face and dry it, you can apply toners onto your skin. Put an enough amount of toner onto a cotton pad, then apply to your face by dabbing the cotton pad. Let it absorbs, then you can apply your regular skincare regime!

I also have a few other things for you to remember when cleansing your face.

1. Never use toner as a cleanser/makeup remover. When I surveyed my friends, I found out that most of them misunderstood the real use of toner. They use it to remove makeup! Toner can't properly remove your makeup, so please don't misunderstand. Okay?

2. Don't wash your face too often. Being clean is good, but too much can hurt you. xD My suggestion is twice a day; first when you're wake up or when taking morning shower, and the second when you're ready to bed. Too much washing will only strip the natural oil in your face and making it dry and rough.

CLEANSING SYSTEMS

One of the popular ways to cleanse your face nowadays is using a cleansing system. It is basically a cleansing aid device to help you giving a deeper cleansing to your face. Most people like the electronically operated Clarisonic Cleansing System, but since I have yet to afford it, I opted for a cheaper alternative, Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System. (FYI, Clarisonic costs almost USD 200, while Olay Pro-X only costs me USD 30)

If you don't want to spend so much money for these electronically operated ones, you can also opted a manual brushes. I've ever found them being sold at Forever21 and also ebay. Several Korean Brands also sell those too, I guess.

It's pretty simple to use this device. First you wet your face and apply face wash like usual, then before rinsing, take the device, rinse with a bit of water, and turn it on (if you use an electronic one), setting the proper speed, then place the brush against your face. You don't need to press the brush, just barely touching the skin. Then using a circular motion like you would do with your fingers, move the device all along your face. Don't use it against your eyelid and lip, and avoid hairline areas, or the brush will pull your hair towards the face xD. After the entire face being brushed, turn off the device, and rinse your face. Don't forget to rinse the brush too! You don't want the brush to be filthy with facial foam residues, right?

The good thing about using this kind of brush is that you can have a gentle exfoliating while you wash your face. It can help to remove dirts far inside the depth of your pore, and also remove dead skin cells, so your face will feel much more cleaner, smoother, and brighter after use. And since the system cleanse your skin far better, your skin will absorb skincare better. I prove it myself.xD

The bad thing? Well, if you have an extremely sensitive or thin skin, you may want to avoid this kind of device. If the brush isn't soft enough to you skin, it will only make your skin worse! Luckily Olay Pro-X's brush softness is acceptable on my skin, so I don't find any trouble.

It's up to you whether you want to use the cleansing system everyday or on designated schedule. However, if you do use it everyday, I suggest you to use it only once a day; at night wash before going to bed. Make sure to use it very gently against your skin, so it will not exfoliate your skin too much!

[FEATURED] Rings and Its Meaning for Me

Hi folks! Long time no see. Well, this sentence seems to be my some kind of must-said words in my post lately, huh?
If I was busy with final thesis last time, this time I was unfortunate because my laptop is broken T_T
Not a major break actually, just a letter on the keyboard wouldn't respond. But since that letter was contained in my password, then it became a major break. Crappy, I know. So I just got time to bring my laptop to service centre and voila! The fact that I am posting a blog right now is a proof that my laptop has been fixed! Yay!

Okay, move into the main topic as written in my post title. Rings. What comes in your mind when you hear about ring? Engagement?

Ring is one of my favorite accessories. And.... ring has a somewhat deep meaning for me. For me, ring is a sign of commitment. Well, you know... Engagement ring, wedding rings... Something like that. I wear one in my left ring finger; a gift from my man as a sign of his commitment to marry me in the future. (Aw, I am being cheesy.) But it doesn't mean that I don't like fashion/statement ring. Oh I do like those! I keep several fashion rings too! I usually wear fashion rings on another fingers, because I never put away my man's ring. I personally love stackable rings, like the one I found in Zalora's ring page. Looking at their ring collections surely make me gone crazy because I like almost all of them! lol You should take a peek, they also sell other fashion items like clothes, bags, etc.

[FEATURED] Paul Fredrick 2014 Summer Collection Launch

Paul Fredrick. Have you ever heard about this brand? To be honest, this is my first time hearing this brand. Apparently their representative emailed me and offered a collaboration.

A brief explanation, Paul Fredrick is a Menswear brand based in the USA. Their main sales is their dress shirts. If I have to explain about the brand with one word, formal.

"Wait, fashion? Men's fashion? I thought you are a girl and your blog -this blog- is mainly about beauty?"
Well, yes I am a girl and this is a beauty blog indeed, but I am not bound by that definition, am I? Moreover, I have a passion in men fashion. I love stylish men. I love to mix and match men's outfit.
(How does Paul Fredrick found out about that passion anyway...? xD)

Anyway, I've seen their collection, their Summer collection dress shirts in particular. I love it. It's bright, but not girly bright. These are my favorite pieces :

The one in the right, in particular. I like the bright blue color. And the tie that paired with it, super love! And I also love the blue tie on the right too. The pattern is so unique.

Sailboat pattern!! How could I not love it!

For this picture, I particularly love the mint green shirt on the left. I think it gives a nice, fresh, summery look. Don't you think?

[EVENT] L'Occitane Feito no Brasil~ L'Occitane Au Bresil Range Launching Event, 26.05.2014

Hello folks! It's been reaaaally long time since my last post, isn't it? Well, I am kinda lost my passion in writing and my univ assignment is piling up. Being in the very last semester doesn't make me more relaxed, it's getting stressful as I have to deal with final thesis. I am totally overwhelmed!

Well, I don't think it's appropriate for me to talk selfishly about my problems while the title is about event report, is it?
So, last Wednesday I was invited to attend L'Occitane's product launching event. The event was held at SKYE Lounge. I could say that SKYE is one of the most hyped place here in Jakarta. The lounge is located at 56th floor!

Well, the event is about L'Occitane's new product range, L'Occitane Au Bresil. As the name suggest, the range is inspired by the country well known for its Samba, Brazil. (Coincidentally, Brazil is one of most talked country right now, since they're about to host this year's FIFA World Cup!)

I was super late that time, so I only saw the event partially. I even missed the product introduction! *sigh*
Since I was rushing, I can't even remember to snap the entrance!

Well, actually there's nothing so special in the entrance, but there are several ushers welcoming attendees. I was directed to fill the guest book (which made me feel so "small" when I saw the guests attending, they're from big media and who am I? Yeah, an amateur blogger.... *modest*)

After that I was given three colorful vouchers. I forgot to snap them, but I will explain them one by one as I write. Stay tune, 'kay? Along with the voucher, I was also given a piece of yellow scarf embroidered with L'Occitane Au Bresil logo to be worn during the event. I love yellow!

After Capoeira, I took a walk a little bit and found a booth providing Hand and Face Painting (no pic! sorry!!!)

I am interested and from the information I got from mbak Jihan, L'Occitane's representative who hand me the invitation, I can redeem my yellow voucher here. Sad;y, I fail to do so since the booth is always full!

The next entertainment I saw :

Samba! It's really festive and fun. And the male dancer, smexy.... lol

N.B : Do you notice? The male dancer, the drummers were the ones performing Capoeira earlier? xD

After the event is wrapped, I took my time to redeem my vouchers. First, I redeem the red one with merchandise. I was having hard time to choose between an iPad cover, a pillow, and a tote bag, and I eventually choose the tote bag, thinking it'll be useful someday.

The other voucher, the green one, is to be redeemed with L'Occitane Au Bresil product. There are two products to be choosed; a soap bar and hand cream. Full sized! I easily picked hand cream. I don't like soap bar. lol.

It really was a fun event, although I am late and could only enjoy a short moment there. Anyway, according to mbak Jihan, the Au Bresil range itself will be available in L'Occitane stores in June 12th. Curious enough? Be patient!

[REVIEW] Makarizo MK3 Color Revive Hot Ice Mineral Oil

Hi folks! As I promised in my previous post, I am going to show you how to use the Makarizo MK3 Color Revive Hot Ice Mineral Oil and my own experience using this product.

First of all, I apologize for the bad pictures, I took them with my lil sister’s reluctant help. ><

TUTORIAL
1. Prepare your hair. It should be damp, only towel dried. I suggest you to shampoo (and condition –if necessary) first. I also suggest you to cover your nape and back with a towel, so the product wouldn't get onto your shirt.

2. 1. Freeze the product by putting it in refrigerator or simply dip it in a bowl of ice cubes. Makarizo also said not to freeze it for more than 2 minutes. You’ll know the product is freezed enough when the color turned from translucent orange into yellowish orange –no longer translucent.

3. 1. Thaw the product by rolling it with both palm of hand.

4. Cover your hand with a towel, then break the ampoule. Be careful as the ampoule is made from glass.

After opening. Careful... Careful..

5. Take a part of your hair, then apply a few drops the product. If you have long or thick hair, you might want to section your hair first beforehand.

5. To help the absorption, pat gently the hair with the palm of your hand

7. Continue step 5 and 6 until all the hair is covered with the product.
8. Repeat step 2 to 7;

If you have short hair, you won’t need to repeat
If you have medium hair, you need to repeat the steps once, therefore you’re using 2 ampoules total
If you have long hair, you need to repeat the steps twice, therefore you’re using 3 ampoules total

I have medium length hair, so I use my second ampoule.

9. Let the product sit for 10 to 15 minutes. If you have longer hair, I suggest you to clip it up.

10. While waiting, do some massage around the neck, shoulder, and back. Ask someone to do this for you :p As for me, I dislike massages, so I played with Chobi during waiting. lol

11. After 10-15 minutes, rinse off. You can style your hair with hair dryers or even iron after.

REVIEW

This product is pretty easy to use. The product has a nice, floral scent, but the scent is too strong for my liking. My real hair condition can only be observed when my hair is dried naturally, only with air, not hair dryers. After waiting for hours, I can feel my hair is smoother, shinier, and less tangled. I can comb my hair easier after treatment. I still can see some frizzy part, but it’s not as severe as before using the product. I think I need to do treatment with this product regularly if I want a long term healthy hair result. xD

[EVENT] The Body Shop and Jakarta Fashion Week Bloggers Gathering

Hi folks! Long time no see. xDD My daily schedule is pretty packed since I am in exam week. x( Anyway, I received an invitation from The Body Shop for their most prestigious event (well, at least I see it that way), The Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 (JFW2013). As you may know, The Body Shop has been JFW's official brands for years. I was so happy to receive the invitation xDD I was told that I can bring up to 5 friends or social media followers, so bring along my sister with me. xDD

So, here I am, today, 22 October 2013, at Senayan City mall, ready to enjoy the event. xDD I was instructed to get only my complexion makeup done from home. I will do my eye makeup here in TBS's store. I am so excited to try on their newest product range; The Color Crush! Look at those pretty colors <3 <3

There are 30 shades of eyeshadows and 24 shades of lipsticks.

[SPONSORED] REVIEW : Mizzu Pen Eyeliner in "Black"

Hi folks! I am back! Been so busy with stuffs that I don't even have time to log on my blog :(

A few weeks ago, my friend Bunny Beaute Cosmetica offered me to review one of her item. It's Mizzu Pen Eyeliner in "Black"

I guess you foreigner folks are unfamiliar with Mizzu, right?
Well, Mizzu is a local makeup brand that raised to popularity recently. At first they only produce this black pen eyeliner, but I heard they also produce a brown liner as well as mascara. To my surprise, this product is ridiculously cheap! Only IDR 25,000 (approx. USD 2.00) a piece. However, does the quality go beyond its price, or it's a disappointment? We'll see. ;D

The outer packaging is a black mica plastic box. The pen itself is just a simple pen with the brand and product name printed on. Doesn't look cheap at all, but there's nothing too special nor memorable. xDD

This eyeliner has a felt tip. The tip is pretty stiff, but not hard that hurting or poking the eyes. It's easy to make thin and precise line as well as dramatic cat eye. Beginners will also find this easy to apply.

While the tip is pretty "helpful", the color is a disappointment for me. It's not opaque at all, leaving a less black result on eyes. You'll need to reapply to achieve a more intense color.

p.s. : I know... my hooded lid hid the liner. see below. xDD

Mizzu claims this eyeliner to be waterproof and smudgeproof. I've tested it myself, and here's the result :

Upon being submerged with water, the product stayed put nicely. However, when I rubbed it, it disappeared! As you can see in the picture, half part of swatch is fading away. I think this product is better called "washable" than waterproof...? xDD

For the smudge test, I've tried rubbing it directly, and it is indeed smudgeproof.

Bottom line :

For IDR 25,000, this is a very decent product. The packaging is nice and the tip really make application easier. However, the color isn't very opaque, making it hard to define the eyes. It's a good eyeliner for beginners who want to learn applying liquid liners.

[INTRODUCTION] Makarizo MK3 Color Revive Hot Ice Mineral Oil

Hi folks! Just recently I received a new product from Makarizo. It’s called Makarizo MK3 Color Revive Hot Ice Mineral Oil. A long name, huh? I’ll call this product “Hot Ice” for short.

What is it? Makarizo Hot Ice is a serum oil meant to treat colored hair, like mine. It is a very unique oil which needs to be freezed (for a short amount of time -2 minutes max.) before usage. This product came from Makarizo MK3 Ecology Color Revive Series. It came in a small glass bottle, a one time usage per bottle.

The main ingredients of Hot Ice oil is Castor Oil; which is very good to help repairing the damaged hair. Other from Castor oil, Hot Ice oil also contains Linseed oil, which will help to revive the hair shine. In short, this product will treat your damaged, color-treated hair; giving the necessary nutrition to the hair, making it smooth, easy to manage, as well as treats the hair color, making it lasts longer and shiny.

My hair has been really damaged after being “tortured” with chemical process in the past. I’ve also been dyed my hair since about a year ago, leaving the hair more and more damaged. It’s very weak, frizzy, tangles easily, and dull. T__T I’ve been looking for the right product to treat it, but I found there’s only very few products variants for color-treated hair, so I glad that I got the chance to try this product. xDD

I’ll be reviewing this product later on, after I tried them of course. xDD I’ll post the more detailed step by step guide and my thoughts after using this product on the next post, so I hope you stay tuned with me!

I just grabbed myself a Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Tough as Taupe" last week, so I got the idea to create something neutral and fresh. Sometimes I need to get a rest from all bold look. xDD

RANDOM : Vanity Table Tour

Hi folks! I've just cleaning up my vanity table, so I got a little confidence to show it off to you guys. xDD
First of all, I warn you.. I am not an organized person, so it's pretty messy and unorganized. Second, I don't have too many products, so you'll see some empty space in my storage. Hahaha... xDD Lastly, this post is pic heavy!!

Oh well, here's what my vanity table looks like :

Simple, right? My mom bought this table at Informa, a local furnishing store. The table is made from wood and has a glossy finish, which makes cleaning easy for me. Sadly it only come in this brown color, doesn't match my room's color theme; blue. (well, it's hard to find a blue furniture here...) It has a pretty big mirror, enough to see half of my body from the head to waist. xDD

So, the first part is the table top. Here I put my beauty supplies; cotton pad, tissue, makeup brushes and sponges, and hair brushes here. I also put my Sephora Blockbuster palette here, since it can't fit any of my drawers. The blue basket on the right is a trash bin for me to throw used cotton pad, q-tips or tissue. There's also a hand mirror I always use to do my eye makeup. Usually I also put my body lotion and 1L Cetaphil bottle on the left side of my table top, but my maid often move it into my toiletries basket (not pictured)

A little over the table top is a glass rack which I use to put my bottles :

On the left side of the rack is my daily skincare, cleansing oil, and deodorant. There's also a dry shampoo there (should be moved to the right xDD)

On the right side of the rack is my fragrances, foundation, and hair products.

The table also have a single drawer which I use to store my lip makeup, circle lenses, and some beauty tools :

On the top left side of the drawer is my earrings box (the small red one on the top left-a gift from my best friend), and my 2 necklaces box (the small pink one inside a pink drawstring pouch the top right -the necklace I'm currently wearing; a bday gift from my man and the bigger red underneath the two small boxes containing my silver necklace). The green basket beside my jewelries is my stock of unopened circle lenses and lens cases I haven't used. The pink basket, as you can see, is my lip makeups.. xDD

My circle lenses are in the cases I put in line there on the bottom right side of the picture. I also put my q-tips, eyebrow grooming tools (tweezer, small scissors, and spoolie), as well as some other tools here.

Next.. we move below my vanity table. Here's where I put my makeup drawer. Most of my makeup goes there :

The black drawer contains my most used makeup. There's some sectioning on top of the drawer where I put my travel bottles and masks which can't be put on the table itself. I bought this at Ace Hardware.

Behind is my travel bottles and my Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, in the middle is my two masks, eye drop (a regular Visine for non-contact lens wearer), and glasses (nb : I don't know where to put it so I just put it here lol) The toothbrush is for washing my hair brush xDD

The top part contains my face makeup; face primer, concealers, powders, blushes, and contouring makeup.

The middle part contains my eye makeup outside eyeshadows; eyebrow makeup, eyeliners, pencil shadows, and mascara. I also put my brow stencil, lash glue, and sharpener here.

The bottom part contains all my eyeshadow collections; both palette and singles. I also put my empty pan and the metal sticker from Z Palette here.

I use the purple drawer beside my vanity for other beauty and fashion items :

The basket above the drawer is my lashes collection (the one in golden box is my fave <3!!)

The top part of the drawer is my shoes insoles and clothing tape, there's also refill pads for eyelash curler (but I already thrown my curler away since it's broken xDD)

The middle part contains my newly bought pigments. The two theBalm products are for upcoming giveaway :p *sneakpeek*

The bottom part contains my nail polishes. Most of my nail polishes have been thrown away due to drying.

Lastly, my hair styling tools :

I am not very good at hair styling, so these are the only two I have. I rarely use the waver too.. xDD I got the cute pink tray from my niece's one month old goodies. When not being used I put the tray on the vanity stool, or else the cable will be chewed by Chobi x( He's naughty!

Hello, humans! We meet again!!
Recently my mommies just moved my litterbox to another spot because I'm being naughty.. Hehehe. :p I am expanding my territory up to around the bathroom and around the stairs. My mommies often nag me for peeing the edge of stairs, where my pee would fall to the downstairs and stains the wall. So mommies covered that area with my litterbox and a dustpan.
Hey!! The dustpan when empty is comfortable!! I love it there! I have to mark it as my territory.. with my PEE! lol

FOTD and Quick Review : Orange and a Touch of Blue/Green + Pandora Vanilla Shake in "Grey"

Hello, folks! Been quite a while since I created a new look. I don't wear makeup (except for eyebrow pencil) to univ, so I only got the chance to do my full makeup on weekends. xDD

For this week's look, I tried to match orange and blue/green color. Never thought these 2 colors would compliment each other this well! xD This look is created with Sephora Color Daze Blockbuster Palette 2012.

QUICK REVIEW : Pandora Vanilla Shake in "Grey" [SPONSORED]

For today, I wear my Pandora Vanilla Shake lens in "Grey". I got this lens from my favorite shop, Dreamie Chuppa.

Color : Grey, Brown, Blue, Green, Pink

Pandora Vanilla Shake has a rather unique starry pattern, which appears beautifully upon being worn on my very dark brown eyes. The limbal ring is pretty thick, giving an illusion of bigger and rounder eyes. But I don't think this lens really got a 19.5mm of diameter. xDD The grey color comes out really beautifully without giving an unnatural look, which make this lens perfect for daily use.

For comfort, I can say this lens is pretty comfortable. I still can feel that I'm wearing the lens, but it's not like I feel there's some strange thing on my eyes. I can wear this lens for about 10 hours before it starts to dry out, or my eyes feel tired.

Bottom Line :

Enlargement : 4.5/5

Comfort : 4/5

REVIEW : Green Mommy Rainforest Series [SPONSORED]

Hi, folks!!

I received an email about a month ago from Bliss Coll, an online shop based on Facebook, reselling Green Mommy products. They sent me the package in this red box. Very cute. <3

What is Green Mommy? It's a local homemade brand here in my country producing natural organic personal care products, such as bath soap, scrubs, etc.

My package consists of 3 products which I'll review in this post.

1. Rainforest Paradise Mist in "Green Tea"

The first product in my package that I'll be reviewing is Rainforest Paradise Mist. I received mine in Green Tea. This product is multifunction; can be used as face mist, hair mist, and body mist. Can also be used as face toner substitute.

The product came in a 60ml spray bottle. What I don't like from this packaging is the label size. Ir's bigger than the bottle size that it ends up having "bumps" which is not pretty.. Well, at least in my eyes.

I've tried using this as face mist, and I have to said that it didn't work on me. While it's very refreshing and helps me in controlling excess oil on my T-Zone area, my cheeks is getting drier. I've tested it for a few consecutive days and my cheeks ended up having dry patches and also get irritated (since it's extremely dry).

I've also tried using this as body mist. Upon spraying, the fragrance is refreshing and light, but disappears shortly after. Guess it's quite good for after shower. xDD

This product, being an organic product without any kind of preservative agents, has a very short expiry date. Mine's labelled being produced on July 2013 and having the expiry date on October 2013, which means it only has 3 months shelf life.

2. Rainforest Coffee And Cacao Body Scrub

The second to be reviewed is Rainforest Coffee and Cacao Body Scrub. (Bliss knew I am coffee junkie, I guess.. *smirk*)

This scrub came in a thick clear plastic bag; which I found pretty inconvenient since you have to prepare another container to store remaining product that have yet to be used. I use a container like this :

According to the package it's made from coffee, cacao, sugar, coconut, nutmeg ans such (sorry I forgot the complete listing of ingredients).

The scrub is brown with tiny grated pieces of coconut. It smells like... nutmeg..? I guess.. lol Oh well, as far as I know, it smells like spices.

The scrub is quite loose, since it's got no creamy substance (like conventional, factory-produced scrubs). I found this looseness is pretty troublesome, as the scrubs will falling out when you apply it on your skin. It surely is messy.

It's also quite rough on skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. To reduce the roughness, make sure your body is wet enough! Be careful if you have wounds -even the minor ones- as it can be very painful if you accidentally scrubbed them.

Green Mommy claimed this product can reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. I myself have trouble with them appearing on my inner thighs. Both of them. And I have to admit, this scrub really does what it claims to do. Yes, my stretchmarks is fading away!!

It was a lot worse before, the stretch marks spreads from my upper thigh down towards my knee, appearing pretty red and visible. It's not too visible by now.

As for cellulite, it's not really working. I need to work out, I guess.. xDD

After using this scrub, my skin feels smooth, clean, and lighter. And just like the packaging's said, I don't need to wash my body with soap/shower creams/foams anymore. I feel clean already. xD

3. Organic Loofah

When I received this, I am confused on how to use this. I never use natural loofah for shower, and the loofah is very stiff and dry! Just like stone xDD Bliss kindly told me how to use it, and I was very surprised when it softens upon contact with water. I am too... dumb, maybe? xDD

Since it's made from natural ingredients, the loofah is rougher than factory-made loofah or shower net, but it lifts off dead skin cells very well. My skin feels smoother after bathing with this loofah.

For a loofah made from organic plant like this, I was pretty surprised with its sturdiness. I've been using this a few times, and it's still looks like new.

REVIEW : Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

Hi, folks!!

You might be remember how my skin is extremely sensitive to acne and irritation. I don't even remember how many severe irritations I've suffered so far. T___T
Based on my skin condition, I've been looking for the most perfect skincare range that would hydrate my skin but not making it oily, and also a facial wash/cleanser/foam that would not dry out my skin even more. And I've found my holy grail skin cleanser now :

It's Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. The one I got here is my 2nd bottle of product, and yes, you're not misreading it; it is the largest size of Cetaphil cleanser that I have here (1 liter). I know it's very bulky that I can't even keep it in my bathroom -I have to keep it on my dresser table, bring it to the bathroom when I am going to cleanse my face, and put it back on the dresser after I finished- but at the same time, it's a money saver. I bought the smallest one in 118ml for IDR 98.900 (apprx. USD 8-9) and this huge baby is IDR 298.900. The price is three times more expensive, but you got almost ten times more product in it.

Cetaphil is packed in a simple white plastic bottle with trapezium shape; narrower on the top part and wider on the bottom part. It has blue snap cap (smaller sizes) or blue pump (only 473ml and 1 liter size). The snap cap is pretty convenient as it's only dispense the necessary amount of product. The pump has a unique way to lock. While most pumps I see have a conventional "pump clip/stopper" that is clipped between the pump base and the pump head itself, Cetaphil's pump can be locked simply by turning the pump's head to the right. Turning the pump's head to the left will unlock the pump. It's pretty much like the water tap's principle. I haven't experience leakage or broken cap, or stuck-pump; so I assume the packaging's pretty sturdy.

This product is formulated without soap, which means it won't form any kind of lather/foams when you rub it. It's much more like a light kind of gel/lotion on skin. The no-soap formula will cleanse your skin without stripping away to much moisture (your skin would feel very tight and pulley when moisture on it was stripped away too much), which is perfect if you have dry skin (normal/combination/oily skin types can also use this however). It does not contain unnecessary ingredients -such as fragrance, and colorant- as well, so it's suitable for babies too (well, at least that's what Cetaphil claimed themselves).

Tthere are 2 ways to use this product :

1. With water. (Simply use it like a conventional wash)

2. Without water. (Much like a cleansing milk)

I've never tried the without water method before; lots of reviewers said it did badly to remove makeup. (I always remove my makeup with cleansing oil then rinse the residue with Cetaphil afterwards, so I can't really tell too myself, but I do have hard time removing the smudged mascara residue). However, I have to say that this product does a pretty good job removing my Etude Drawing Brow AD from my brow, even without me removing it with cleansing oil before.

Although it contains no soap, it still cleanses sebums and dirts pretty well. And my favorite part : IT DOESN'T DRY OUT MY SKIN EVEN MORE!!

Sorry folks for the capslock. xDD I am too impressed. Most facial wash, even the ones that claimed to be "the gentlest" would likely made my skin feels so tight, but not this one. I can still feel the moisture on my skin. No more tight or stretchy pulley feeling on my cheeks <3 It's really an awesome product!

Aside from being a face cleanser, this product can also be used for body. I've tried once; when I got a set of really stinging scratch wounds on my decollete (using a conventional shower foam would sting my wounds even more, and I am afraid of it so I decided to bathe using Cetaphil). The super light formula gently cleanse out my skin without hurting my scratch wound. However I don't really like to use it for daily basis. It needs a huge amount of product to cleanse your whole body, which I think is money-wasting x((

Bottom line :

This is really a great product to be used for all folks with all skin types who prefers gentle cleansing. It won't dry out your skin. The price is relatively on average price point for drugstore brand. It doesn't do a really great job on removing makeup, so make sure you've removed them with a proper makeup remover before, but it is great to be used as daily cleanser. Once again I say; there won't be any foams/lather since it contains no soap, so it'll feel a little bit awkward at first especially if you're used to foams.

It's obvious that I'll repurchase this product again. <3

Hello humans! Jakarta was hot lately! And I felt hot too! During the day, my mommy would put a bottle of frozen water on the floor, and I usually would approach it, rolling it with my nose or front legs, or simply lay beside it to feel its breeze. It's cool!!! During night, I like to relax in my mommy's cool, air-conditioned room.

Oke... Pertama gue mo ngucapin :

SELAMAT ULANG TAHUN 68, INDONESIA!!!

Berhubung hari ini spesial, akhirnya gue putusin buat berbahasa Indo. Yah, sebagai apresiasi aja. Gue masi orang Indo dan punya jiwa nasionalis kok *ehem* haahha

Dan karena hari spesial juga, gue terinspirasi buat dendongan pake tema Indonesia. Paling gampang sih, jelas... Merah Putih! Khas bendera kita banget kan tuh. Pas gue lagi mau dendong, tadi pagi gue liat salah satu temen gue yang juga blogger, Sheilla, juga bikin makeup yang sama. Jangan dibandingin! Tentunya bagusan dia.. Secara dia makeup artist beneran. Gue? MUA abal2 kali ya.. wakakak.. ga pernah makeupin orang sejujurnya. (PS. : Jangan lupa mampir ke blognya Sheilla juga ya! klik sini)

Hello folks! xDD Yesterday I planned to hang out with my girl friends to Collete and Lola, a cake cafe at Southern Jakarta. However we failed to try the cakes as the cafe is full that time. X(( so we detoured to Lotte Shopping Avenue instead. xDD

Quick Thoughts on Vivian Pineapple Lens in Brown [SPONSORED]

This lens is quite thin, so it's comfortable enough on eyes. The diameter is 17,2 mm, which is effective in making my eyes look larger, despite the very thin limbal ring. The pattern is quite simple in my opinion, but I love that the color is coming out over my naturally very dark brown iris. The lens has a 48% water content, which is pretty standard, but I experienced dryness after wearing this lens for over 8-10 hours (Most of the lenses I wear start to feel dry after 10-12 hours)

TIPS : Essential Makeup Tools

Hello folks! This idea has been on my mind for quite a while, but I never gotten a chance to snap a pic of my brushes, but yesterday I've just washed all brushes and I thought it will be a good chance.

Makeup brushes. For most beauty enthusiast, it's easy to tell apart each of the brushes' purposes, but some people, especially beginners, are having hard time. That's why I'm bringing up this topic! Let's just begin, okay? ;D

Foundation Brushes

1. Flat Top Brush. Made from synthetic hair such, this brush is perfect for applying liquid foundation and gives you a smooth, airbrushed finish. Best used in buffing (circular motion) or stippling. The bristles are dense. It can be classified as duo-fibre (see the whitish top). Mine's Make Up Show H03, from Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find similar brush on eBay.

2. Foundation brush. This brush is a standard foundation brush commonly found in brush sets. The bristles are flat and usually made from synthetic hair. The flat, pointy tip is very useful for reaching narrow edges like edge of nose or under eye area, and also suitable for contouring with liquid contouring products. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. Almost all makeup brand sell this kind of brush

Note : aside from these 2 brushes I explained, there's also a duo fibre stippling brush. A great example of this brush is M.A.C. 187. The main purpose of this brush is mostly the same as Flat top brush.

Face Brushes

1. Big Fan Brush. I use this brush mainly for blending face products; blush, highlight, and contouring. Can also be use to sweep away fallouts. Made from natural bristles. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find similar brush on eBay.

2. Powder brush. A big, fluffy brush made from natural hair (or synthetic- taklon) for applying powders. I myself use it for blending out excess powder. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. Almost all makeup brands sell this kind of brush. Some of them also provide various sizes.

3. Small Fan Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair, this brush is perfect for applying highlighter. The brush is not too dense for the purpose of keeping away over-highlighting. Mine's from eBay. You can also find it at several makeup brands/stores.

4. Angled Blush Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. The angled top is made to follow the natural cheek contour while applying blush. Can also be used for contouring with powder products. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find it at most makeup brands/stores.

5. Buffing Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. The bristles are very short and dense, perfect for contouring cheeks and jawline. Can also be used for applying cream blush and/or liquid foundations. Mine's Make Up Show 15B 01, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. I could never find any good dupe for this

Note : Blush brushes also came in different styles aside from the angled one. I love Yachiyo brush from NARS! xDD

Eyeshadow Brushes

1. Big Shader brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair, I mainly use this brush for applying base color. Can also be used as blending brush. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores.

2. Medium Shader brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. I mainly use this for contouring the nose. For folks with bigger eyes, this brush can also be use to pack color on lid. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores.

3. Smaller Shader Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. I use this in rotation with the smallest brush (no. 4) to pack the accent color onto my lid. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores

4. Smallest shader brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. I use this in rotation with the smaller brush (no. 3) to pack the accent color onto my lid. The size is perfect for folks with small eyes. Note : some makeup brands only sell one or two sizes of shader brush which universally fits most eye size.

Eye Brushes

1. Angled Blending Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. The bristles are pretty fluffy and has an angled tip. Hence the name, it's for blending eyeshadow color and harsh edges. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores.

2. Small Pencil Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. It's dense and has a pointed tip. I use this for applying shadow on crease and lower lid. The small size is perfect for folks with small eyes. Mine's Make Up Show BW Series C30, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores.

3. Pencil brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. This brush has the standard size of pencil brushes. Good for folks with bigger eyes. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores.

4. Crease Brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. Serves a similar purpose as pencil brush. Mine's E.L.F. Essentials Eye Crease Brush (synthetic hair).

5. Angled Eye brush. Made from natural/synthetic hair. Can be use to define shadow color, applying highlight on browbone, and also for contouring the nose. Mine's E.L.F. Essentials Angled Eye Brush (synthetic hair).

Note :

a.) Aside from the angled blending brush I have,there's also another shape of blending brush. The most popular is M.A.C 217.

b.) The small pencil brush (no.2 ) is mostly notable for being a dupe of M.A.C. 219

Brow and Liner Brushes

1. Smudge Sponge. Made from rubbery sponge, the tip is hard but not stone-hard. It's used to smudge eyeliner. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. Several makeup brand also have this sponge (E.L.F. has it)

2. Fine Eyeliner brush. Made from synthetic hair. Mainly for applying gel eyeliner. This one's a standard shape of eyeliner brush. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find this kind of brush at most makeup brands/stores

3. Smudge brush. Made from synthetic hair. The bristles are very dense and tiny. Used for smudging eyeliner, similar to smudge sponge. I'd prefer this brush than sponge since it gave me a more naturally smudged finish. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. E.L.F. also sells this brush but in a little bit different shape.

4. Angled Brow Brush. Made from synthetic hair. Used to apply brow wax/gel/powders. Can also be used as eyeliner brush. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. Can also be found in most makeup brands/stores.

5.Spoolie/Mascara Wand. Made from synthetic hair. I mostly use this for blending brow products. Can also be use to separate mascara clumps. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. Most makeup brands/stores also sells this.

6. Brow and Lash Comb. The brush is made from synthetic hair. I used this mostly when grooming my brow, to brush out the brows. The lash comb can also be used to separate mascara clumps on lashes. Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. Can also be found at most makeup brands/stores.

Lip and Concealer Brush

1. Pointed Lip Brush. Made from synthetic hair. The pointed tip is perfect for applying lip products and defining the lip lines. I got mine along with my OCC Lip Tar. Can also be found in most makeup brands/stores.

2. Lip Brush with cap. Made from synthetic hair. The purpose is exactly the same as lip brush (no.1). There's a cap so you can bring this along when going out and/or traveling. Mine's from Sigma. My Cerro Qreen brush set also includes a similar brush as this one, but I lost it.

3. Small Concealer Brush. Made from synthetic hair. The bristles is denser than no. 4. I use this for applying cream concealer (Benefit Boi-ing). Mine's coming from Cerro Qreen 18 pcs Pink Brush Set, bought at Make Up Tool Shop. You can also find this brush at most makeup brands/stores.

4. Concealer Brush. Made from synthetic hair. The bristles is thinner and less dense compared to no.3. I use this for applying cream shadow. Mine's from eBay.

Note :

a.) Lip brushes also come in various versions, while mine is a standard lip brush, most stores also sell a retractable one.

b.) Concealer brush can doubles as cream shadow brush, like mine's

Sponges

1. Bottle Gourd shaped Sponges. Made from latex (several brands also sell a latex-free one). The bottom is flat, and the edges are curvy. A multipurpose sponge for blending foundations (liquid/cream/powder), applying face powders, blushes, and also for contouring. The curvy edges is perfect for areas like jawlines, while the pointy tip is for narrow area such as under eyes and edge of nose. Both of my bottle gourd sponges are from eBay. Some sponges could expand in size while damp, but some can't.

2. Egg shaped sponges. Made from latex (several brands also sell a latex-free one). The bottom is curved, making it unable to be put upward. A multipurpose sponge for blending foundations (liquid/cream/powder), applying face powders, blushes, and also for contouring. The wider bottom is perfect for wider areas like cheeks and forehead, while the pointy tip is for narrow area such as under eyes and edge of nose. My egg sponges are from Make Up Tool Shop. Some sponges could expand in size while damp, but some can't.

Sponges tips :

1. If your foundation is too cakey or thick, smooth it out with the dampen sponge. A bonus, you can also achieve a dewy look!

2. For applying powder, I recommend to pat it onto face than just swiping it. Then, swipe excess with powder brush. You'll get a nice natural finish.

Note :

a.) The most notable bottle gourd-shaped sponges are from Sonia Kashuk, while the most notable egg sponges are from Beauty Blender. Most Korean makeup brands sells the bottle gourd-shaped ones.

b.) There are a lot of sponges with different shapes than the ones featured here. The most common shapes is square and/or round, which commonly found in compact powders. There's also wedges sponges and house-shaped sponges. Regardless the shape, they serve the same purpose.

Bristles information :

1. Natural hair. Mostly used is horse/pony hair, goat hair, and squirrel hair. Brushes from natural hair is visually coarse, but smooth upon touch. Ideal for powder products

2. Synthetic hair. Mostly used is taklon and nylon. Brushes from taklon are similar with natural haired brush, and perfect for both powder and liquid products, while nylon brushes are ideal for liquid products such as liquid foundations, cream blushes, brow wax, etc.

HAPPY EID MUBARAK 1434H!!!

I am not a Moslem myself so I don't celebrate, but I do take this chance, along with my mom and sister plus my man to visit my grandmother's house. Then we hit the mall xDD

My look is inspired by the Eid Mubarak, when the color green and yellow/gold dominate the decorations.

Most of my face makeup has started to fade away since I've been wearing it for about 4-5 hours (or even more!) My blush, contouring and highlighting aren't even visible anymore xDD

QUICK REVIEW : Chanel Complete Correction Cream SPF 30/PA +++ in 20 Beige

Chanel Complete Correction Cream SPF 30/PA +++ in 20 Beige (simply called Chanel CC Cream) is the newest complexion product from Chanel. It's sold exclusively in Asia region. I really love it! It's originally formulated to correct skin imperfections while caring for it. Since it's still makeup, I do insist you to remove it properly.
Chanel CC Cream comes with a simple monochromatic packaging; a pure white tube with black cap. Product's name is printed in black. It's packed with a box, and the tube's mouth is sealed with foil for hygiene reason. (Packaging score 4.5/5)

The product consistency is rather thicker than most foundations, so you'll only need a very small amount of product to cover the entire face. Despite the thickness, it doesn't feel that way on the skin. It blends very well without being cakey. It covers mild to medium redness very well, but for severe redness like pimples, I'd say it only blurs the redness. You'll still need a concealer for the pimples. This product also works as tinted sunscreen; it has SPF 30/PA +++; which means a medium protection against UV B and strongest protection against UV A. This product is pretty long lasting as well. In the pic I've worn my makeup for about 5 hours but the CC Cream was still there without fading away. (Product and Application score 5/5; Coverage score 4/5; Longevity score 4.5/5)

note : on the right side of the skin in the pic is the CC Cream, blended.

The downside of this CC Cream is probably the shade selection. This product only came in only one shade which is very fair, it's even slightly lighter than my NC20 skin tone, but fortunately it's kinda oxidize a bit and blends into my natural skin tone after a few minute. It's also has a strong yellow undertone with slight grey tone. (Color 3/5)

Overall score : 4/5

2. I got a new camera!!

This one's Samsung SmartCamera WB250F. It's a travel zoom camera. It zooms up to 21x, but I don't really use the zoom anyway. The reason I decided to buy this was that this cam has a CMOS sensor type, which is better for capturing low light shots. I often take pictures at night, so this kind of sensor would help me. The other reason, it has the SmartShare feature which allows me to share the newly taken picture into my smartphone at ease. I can upload my pic to instagram right away! One more reason, it has a wide choice of smart mode, from Beauty Face (blurs imperfections and enhance makeup shades~ no need to edit!), Macro (capturing close objects like my eye details), to Low Light (utilizing the CMOS sensor to capture night shots). It also has a pop up flash light. Pretty unique <3 I am satisfied
