Questa sarà un'ottima occasione per stare insieme, scambiarci le foto della regata per chi già non avesse provveduto (chiavette alla mano quindi!) e per augurarci buon anno!&lt;br /&gt;

Il comitato di regata riesce a far disputare tre belle prove prima del termine ultimo fissato per le 13.30.&lt;br /&gt;
Il nostro team chiude questa gionata con un 9 posto nella prima prova di giornata, un 1 posto nella seconda prova e un 3 posto nella terza e ultima prova.&lt;br /&gt;

Nonostante i buoni risultati ottenuti oggi per un solo punto non riusciamo a scavalcare i Canadesi che chiudono &amp;nbsp;al 6 posto in classifica generale. Sin dall'uscita del posto verso le ore 11.00 si capiva che il vento sarebbe calato.&lt;br /&gt;

Alle ore 12.00 partenza in orario della prima prova di giornata ( la numero 9 del Campionato).&lt;br /&gt;
Dopo una partenza discreta con qualche dubbio se fossimo ocs o no giriamo la boa di bolina del secondo giro in 4 posizione. Durante la poppa il vento cala fino a finire completamente. Dopo salti di vento anche di 180 gradi tagliamo il traguardo al 3 posto scoprendo però in quel momento che sulla lavagna posta sulla barca giuria c'era scritto il nostro numero velico tra le bache ocs. Oltre a noi tra gli Ocs di quella prova c'erano: USA, SUI, DEF ,ING, IRL. ( Probabilmente il C.d.r. non conosce l'uso del richiamo generale dato che in due prove di questo campionato c'erano fuori la metà delle barche iscritte...e sicuramente non avranno preso tutte le barche fuori)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Dopo circa 30 minuti di bonaccia il vento arriva prepotente intorno ai 20 nodi &amp;nbsp;in modo da permettere la disputa della seconda prova di giornata.&lt;br /&gt;
Il c.d.r. sceglie di far disputare una Inshore race ( l'ultima del campionato speriamo...).&lt;br /&gt;
Dopo circa 16 miglia di regata tagliamo il traguardo al 5° posto.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Si chiude così la 5 giornata con un OCS e un 5 posto.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
la prima prova della giornata non è delle migliori, sesto posto per il nostro team che però si stava solo scaldando! già nella seconda conquistiamo un quarto posto!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
ma non si può dire che la fortuna sia dalla nostra, alla terza prova della giornata, sempre bastoni, sempre due giri, nell'ultimo bordo di bolina sulla lay line destra (al momento eravamo quarti) abbiamo sentito un fatale TOCK! la drizza del fiocco ci lascia sul più bello e iniziamo a vedere scafi bianchi che ci superano.. su spi il prima possibile, scambio di drizza spi e fiocco per l'ultimo traversino, ma il danno è fatto e ci tocca l'undicesimo posto.&lt;br /&gt;

ancora una volta non riusciamo a finire le regate della giornata e dobbiamo rientrare prima per le riparazioni.&lt;br /&gt;

la giornata è stata davvero movimentata, la bagarre alle boe concitata e a fine giornata fioccano le proteste, ben 19!&amp;nbsp;una di queste è la nostra richiesta di riparazione e in attesa di discuterla speriamo che la nostra posizione in classifica ne possa giovare..&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
warning signal in orario alle 10, finalmente oggi si riesce a regatare!&lt;br /&gt;
la giornata è nuvolosa e il vento raggiunge i 18 nodi, il programma di oggi prevede due prove a bastoni, una costiera e la notturna..&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
la prima partenza non è delle migliori, anzi, finiamo fuori dalla linea di partenza prima del dovuto e ci tocca girare intorno alla barca comitato per poter entrare veramente in gara.&lt;br /&gt;
poi.. una prova degna di nota, con un leggero cambio di vento a nostro vantaggio, stringiamo di bolina come non mai e già al primo giro di boa eravamo primi!!! da quel momento in poi, non ci si poteva permettere di sbagliare, e così è stato! prima regata, primo posto!&lt;br /&gt;

galvanizzati da questo risultato affrontiamo la seconda prova a bastoni, ma questa volta non si conclude bene come la prima: nono posto&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
nona posizione anche per la prova costiera di 12 miglia che ha impegnato non poco tutti gli equipaggi, specialmente nel bordo di traverso stretto dove alcuni hanno optato per lo spi (anche noi!) e altri no.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
ora manca solo la notturna per tornare a casa e togliersi di dosso la pioggia che ogni tanto ha fatto da cornice alle prove, ma il nostro rientro è stato prima del previsto:&amp;nbsp;squalificati per partenza anticipata! quando un solo secondo ti cambia le seguenti 5 ore!!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
alla fine del primo giorno di regata è la Francia che si trova in testa alla classifica dopo aver conquistato il primo posto per ben tre volte, inseguiti sempre dall'equipaggio inglese difensore del titolo. La nostra posizione a fine giornata è a metà classifica, ottavi.&lt;br /&gt;

Inizialmente riservata alle sole università europee la sua fama ha fatto presto il giro del mondo,così che nel 1992 l’international Yachting Race Union decise di attribuire il suo attuale stato di World Cup ufficiale. Le condizioni meteo marine hanno permesso al comitato di regata composto da Marco Vigano, Ernesto Zucca, Andrea Vailati, Sabrina Gambato, Cesare Vailati, Federica Beltrame e Carlo Ciccarella , di far disputare 4 prove nella giornata di Sabato caratterizzate da sole e vento proveniente da 240° con intensità che è andata ad aumentare nel corso della giornata raggiungendo i 7 nodi.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
La gionata di Domenica è stata invece contraddistinta da una pioggerellina e da lievi brezze. Nonostante queste condizioni il comitato è riuscito a far disputare la regata costiera come da programma.&lt;br /&gt;

La &amp;nbsp;seconda posizione è stata conquistata dall'equipaggio della Statale-Bicocca con alla barra ,&lt;br /&gt;
o meglio alla ruota, Daniele Scolari che si aggiudica il Trofeo University Challenge riservato alle sole università del capoluogo lombardo. Al terzo posto troviamo la barca del Politecnico 1 con al timone Vittorio Preti, al quarto l'equipaggio del Politecnico 2 con al timone Federico Maccari. Chiude la classifica l'equipaggio di Enrico Pivirotto dell'università Bocconi.&lt;br /&gt;

Dopo la doverosa fase di Silenzio Stampa, le opportune critiche e discussioni e i meno opportuni bagordi notturni per le vie del Porto Vecchio di due aitanti membri dell'equipaggio, ieri mattina siamo tornati in barca.&lt;br /&gt;
Un po' frastornati, un po' in ritardo (vedi sopra alla voce bagordi notturni), arriviamo in banchina. Le altre barche stanno già uscendo; noi velocizziamo i nostri tempi solitamente biblici e prendiamo la via del mare. Quando...&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Quando ci ritroviamo immersi nella nebbia, o come ha comunicato Sergio alla radio all'ormai affezionato Race Commitee: "Defender is lost in the fog". Raggiungiamo gli altri già riparati al Porto de Le Minimes ed inizia l'attesa per questa giornata interminabile di regate a bastone e notturna.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;La nebbia non si alza fino a mezzogiorno, ma nulla da fare per il vento. Un comunicato fissa la disposizione per le 14: molti equipaggi approfittano di questo lasso di tempo per tornare in albergo e riposare in vista della nottata in mare.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Nel primo pomeriggio, accerchiati dai 420 (per cui era stata organizzata una regata nazionale), siamo tutti in acqua, equipaggiati per rimanerci fino ed oltre il tramonto.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Il vento soffia per 8 nodi da SE; il percorso sembra molto corto: la partenza diventa forse ancora più importante e non sbagliamo. Il buon passo della barca e le scelte giuste del Tactician Cesare fanno il resto: in boa siamo terzi, dietro a Portoghesi e Canadesi. La tattica di poppa la riserviamo a Sergio, che è bravissimo: ci fa anticipare la strambata e riusciamo a superare subito il Canada, arrivando ad un soffio dal Portogallo. La bolina si riduce ad una faccenda "a due" e dalla marcatura "ad uomo" del Portogallo su di noi ne escono i Canadesi, primi alla seconda bolina e così al Finish.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Ci concediamo dei sorrisi finalmente: la nostra prima prova nei tre!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Alle quattro e mezzo è ormai tempo di regata notturna, 27 miglia con vento in aumento.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Piccolo appunto ma grande applauso al Cus Brescia, che la sera prima ci ha illuminati con la propria esperienza ed organizzazione, aiutandoci a tracciare l'ESATTO percorso.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Nessuno "tira" la partenza ("la regata è lunga", come si dice); noi scegliamo la destra del campo e alla prima boa, Clearing Mark, siamo nel gruppo dei primi sette, con al comando gli Inglesi, leggermente staccati dagli altri.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Non mi dilungo nella descrizione di ogni lato del percorso e il passaggio ad ogni faro (27 miglia sono tante anche per chi è prolisso come me!), ma alcune cose sono da sottolineare: la grinta di Sergio su tutte, capace di non mollare fino alla fine, quando - su un percorso che ci ha visto sempre in quinta posizione - con un'ultima bolina spaziale ci ha fatto sognare la terza posizione (Usa e Sui sono riusciti ad entrare all'arrivo virandoci entrambi sulla prua); la tenacia (e pazienza) di Filippo, eroico prodiere capace di strambare, ammainare e virare, tutto con una pila in bocca, e soprattutto di non cadere mai in tentazione, ovvero mai mandare a quel paese la lobby dei poppisti (Timoniere-Randista-Tattico) e i loro martellanti richiami al grido di "Illumina i filetti!"; la concentrazione (ma anche cecità grave) di Michele, tra i pochi timonieri capaci di respingere gli istinti omicidi verso quella parte di equipaggio fuori alle draglie che decide di "approfittare del momento" per registrare le interviste.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Per tutti noi è stata la prima regata notturna e credo di non sbagliare se interpreto univocamente le emozioni di tutto l'equipaggio parlando di un'esperienza straordinaria.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Ieri sera, rientrando in albergo dopo la mitica cena al circolo, rompe il silenzio con un'importante, quanto inutile constatazione: "Raga, tra due mesi è Natale!". La risata è spontanea. Il morale migliora. Il sonno si rasserena. Grande Carlo!&lt;br /&gt;
(Da citare un altro grande intervento in data odierna. Prima prova, seconda bolina; sul lato abbiamo già perso due barche; siamo ormai a cinquanta metri dalla boa: "Ma che avete un cerotto?"... Grande, Grandissimo!)&lt;br /&gt;

Arriviamo alle cose serie. Dopo la "batosta" di ieri, la giornata si doveva costruire nell'ordine del riscatto.&lt;br /&gt;
Le previsioni meteo vengono confermate: bel sole, vento leggere tra i 6-8 nodi da Est.&lt;br /&gt;
Puntuali, alle 10.30 iniziano le procedure per la sesta prova. Nel momento dell'issa del segnale preparatorio il vento salta di una decina di gradi a destra, favorendo di molto la partenza in Barca. Noi siamo bravi a a trovare la posizione giusta sotto il gruppo e soprattutto bravi a sfilarlo al momento dello start. La bolina è molto impegnativa; Cesare The Tactician è bravo a scegliere i tempi delle virate sugli scarsi - adeguatamente spronato dal nostro randista Seccio da Crotone; in boa siamo secondi, dietro solo agli Scozzesi. In poppa ci superiamo, giriamo primi mettendo diversi metri tra noi e il resto della flotta. La seconda bolina potrebbe essere una passeggiata, ma... ma NO.&lt;br /&gt;
Tutto fila liscio fino a metà lato, noi controlliamo bene e manteniamo il vantaggio; poi il gruppo si apre e noi ci incartiamo.&lt;br /&gt;
Regata sugli scarsi o Regata di controllo?&lt;br /&gt;
Ebbene, ancora con tanto nervosismo in corpo, vi comunico che alla boa (e così all'arrivo) siamo quarti. [Ometto opportunamente quanto hanno prodotto le rispettive bocche a fine prova].&lt;br /&gt;
Sempre i soliti dieci minuti di stopo e si riparte. Noi siamo in ritardo sulla linea e partiamo molto arretrati. Siamo costretti ad inseguire (proprio noi, esperti del settore Perdere Molte Posizioni in Modi Facili e Veloci). Evito di riportare il nostro passaggio preciso alla prima boa; la poppa, alle spalle del gruppo di metà classifica, ci fa scegliere di strambare subito. La nostra velocità in queste condizioni di vento è eccezionale: a fine lato siamo sesti, attaccati al gruppo dei primi.&lt;br /&gt;
Il vento è in calo, vediamo la Barca Giuria muoversi in direzione della boa per accorciare il percorso. La nostra bolina è qusi perfetta, riusciamo a recuperare fino alle terza posizione. Purtroppo, però, non è ancora finita. Il vento è leggerissimo e proprio sul più bello, ormai sulla linea d'arrivo, decide di favorire con una raffichetta personalissima la barca portoghese e quella inglese, che tagliano il traguardo di un soffio davanti a noi lasciandoci quinti.&lt;br /&gt;
E' comunque l'unica prova che ci fa in qualche modo festeggiare!&lt;br /&gt;
Nel frattempo il Comitato comunica la volontà di effettuare un'altra regata costiera. Il vento sembra essersi nuovamente disteso, ma comunque sembre debole... e il percoso scelto dal Comitato misura 13 miglia!&lt;br /&gt;
Dal giorno prima siamo un po' timorosi, ma abbiamo studiato...&lt;br /&gt;
Partiamo benissimo, il nostro passo ci fa allungare subito. Siamo primi, signori.&lt;br /&gt;
Lo strazio di questa bolina interminabile, in direzione della prima boa, dura esattamente 1h37m. Il vento è ormai assente, anzi, ha proprio lasciato La Rochelle e tutte le acque circostanti. Navighiamo nell'olio. E viene issata la N. E sono due (le prove annullate con noi davanti).&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-outline-level: 1;"&gt;La voglia di raccontare questa giornata si è lasciata trovare a fatica.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Indipendentemente dalla nostra modesta performance, il campo di regata ha offerto delle belle condizioni, con vento da nord tra i quindici e i venti nodi. Proprio per il meteo, il Comitato comunica nel breafing mattutino la volontà di disputare due prove “standard”, due giri a bastone, più la costiera. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Le procedure sono puntualissime: alle 10 e 30 prende il via la terza prova di questa trentesima Sywoc. Potrei dilungarmi nella descrizione, ma la conclusione le fa perdere ogni senso: all’arrivo scopriamo d’essere OCS.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Il fatto che nessuno di noi l’avesse “chiamato” (se non una timida Fede) ci lascia un po’ spaesati; cerchiamo di azzerare tutto e partiamo per un’altra prova. Il vento sembra più forte nella parte destra del campo, nonostante la linea di partenza favorisca il controstarter noi azzardiamo: scegliamo la barca e viriamo subito. La decisione si rivela quella giusta, il gruppo ci segue ed in boa siamo terzi, dietro a Svizzeri ed Inglesi, seguiti subito da Brescia. In poppa siamo bravi, passiamo gli Inglesi e mettiamo qualche metro tra noi e gli inseguitori. Siamo ormai in boa, quando…la drizza del fiocco non sale, la manovra è lentissima e veniamo subito ripresi dal gruppo e superati da GBR e CusBs.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;A questo punto la bolina è difficile, il vento è aumentato ancora e forse subiamo anche i nostri 40 kg in meno nel peso d’equipaggio. Non mi dilungo oltre: chiudiamo settimi.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Una volta arrivati, il Comitato comunica immediatamente la scelta del percorso per la prova costiera. Dieci minuti per impostare le coordinate gps e trovare i punti indicati sulle carte. Ok, pronti, si parte. Allo start, cazzandolo, lo scottino del wang si rompe, facendoci perdere metri importanti nel momento delicato della partenza. Arriviamo alla prima boa sesti. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Pecchiamo di presunzione. Davanti a noi nessuno issa, ma proseguono “a trenino” verso un punto al traverso che secondo le nostre valutazioni doveva rappresentare, però, la terza boa. Noi mettiamo spy e puntiamo a sud, verso quella che avevamo impostato come seconda boa, seguiti solo da USA e Ger… Passano diversi minuti quando vediamo un gommone del Comitato muoversi in direzione dell’altro gruppo di barche. I nostri dubbi sulla correttezza delle nostre coordinate si fanno, ovviamente, più fondati. Vediamo anche gli Americani riaprire le carte e le istruzioni di regata con le indicazioni sui possibili &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;courses&lt;/i&gt;. Bene, ormai siamo lontanissimi dal gruppo. La rabbia, che può essere solo con noi stessi, si mischia allo sconforto. Togliamo spy e ci lanciamo in un inseguimento tanto inutile, quanto disperato. Riusciamo, infine, a chiudere 11…ma quanta amarezza.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
