Thank YOU!!! You made a very aggravating experience awesome!! We were awestruck! We had no idea how complex and fascinating bees are.. We both told each other after you left that we felt our jaws dropped open every time you told us something about being an Entomologist and the knowledge you shared with us about bee behavior. We have looked at your website, your photos, videos, and are blown away by the areas where bees like to colonize. The one where they are coming out of the outdoor “tool box” gave us the creeps because we have one of those too.

You made a bad situation enjoyable and actually fun. We have not stopped talking about it with each other and our friends and coworkers. You said you give lectures to groups, do you also do private parties?? We were thinking, especially with the increase in the bee population that it would be a fun thing to do to educate others on bees, and the job you do.

We have not seen a flying bee in either spot since you were here, so it definitely did the trick.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their part in helping us with our situation. It shows that our community has a “heart” and cares. I know it’s a difficult time for everyone right now and the smallest things can make the biggest difference in the lives of our neighbors. My prayers were answered when you(Steve Dwinnell, Asst. Director, Fla. Environmental Services) forwarded my email to Jonathan ( AllFloridaBeeRemoval.com) because he thought outside the box and made it a win win for everyone when he involved John Thomas at ABC News. The news exposure offset the initial charge for removing the bees and we got the mission accomplished.

It’s not just about the Bees…it’s about “Bee-ing” there for the people and all of you were there.

I am sorry the Bees had to go, but the possums had a gourmet dinner last night. They thank you too.

Windermere Bee Removal

Hi Rich,

Thank you very much for safely re-locating our bees. We hope that they will enjoy their new home and produce lots of good honey and cross pollination for other plants.

Could you tell the status of our hive as you removed it? ( yes, this colony was very healthy and took to its new hive box readily-RMM). Was it a honey-rich hive? (yes, for an external aerial colony it had a good amount of honey..we feed it back to the bees once we get them to the quarantine apiary -RMM).

Please let us know if our bees do well in their 'new home' as it would make us feel good to hear they are being productive.( We kept them in their box for 4 days. On day 5 we released them, and they look GREAT! the queen is laying eggs, they've built new comb and now on day 6, are bringing pollen back to the colony..always a good sign).

Notice the robust nature, golden yellow color and distinct dark stripes, as this is a classic Italian honey bee type ~ Apis mellifera ligustica.
African honey bees ( killer bees ) ~~ Apis mellifera scutellata , often are slightly smaller, darker yellow and have a darker abdomen. Be aware that morphological differences are common, and its impossible for anyone to Identify just by sight alone.

It's with appreciation that I thank you for relocating our "girls" who had been residing in our wall. The pest control company only wanted to spray, kill and leave them to suffer in the confines of our home, but you were kind enough to consider removing them alive and taking them to a bee farm. You were so patient and kind, even dressing my friend in a bee suit, and giving us some of the precious and sweet honey our bees put up! I felt like I was in school again, learning the intricacies of insects and the behavior of these glorious social creatures. It's obvious that you love being an entomologist and helping people.

Thank you for all you've done, and I enthusiastically recommend you to everyone I meet. Thanks for the pictures of our friends in their new home!

This morning my grandson came running in with his dog, both had been stung by bald face hornets. My grandson only once but his dog was stung 2 or 3 times in the face and head. His dog, Misty, had to be taken to the vet. We knew we had to do something so we searched the internet and found Buzzkillers, LLC (ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com) who came right out and Chris took care of our problem for us. Thankfully we were smart enough to stay away until an experienced entomologist was able to come out and remove them.

Richard, What a "stroke of luck" talking to you the other day. Chris was a true professional and ridded us of a potentially hazardous situation with at least 50 queen yellow jackets occupying a subterrainian nest that we had on our property. As I mentioned to you, I did not want to "spray" and kill them if they are beneficial but Chris educated us on the species and performed an outstanding job. The only thing he may have done wrong is "underbid" the project. Thank you so much - you have a great employee and, apparently, a superb company and website!!

Thank you so much for following up on this! The bees were gone by the time the sun came up on Monday – it had begun to lightly rain, and they were near the top of a small tree that didn’t offer much cover, so I assumed they took off to find drier shelter.

Richard’s quick response and reassuring voicemail message brought much peace of mind. It’s obvious from your website that you folks really know your stuff, and I will turn to you again if I have any more unwanted visitors. I’ve already recommended the website to many co-workers and friends.

You will never know what you meant to Pegge & I. She did suffer, but I had faith that she would get thru this. She was so happy you stopped by at Hospital to ask about her. I hurt all nite but having faith she would be OK!

Two people were special, God and you. She hurt at hospital , they really helped her.

Three bees were at the steps this morning, but no sight of any this afternoon.

I'm sure you and your wife hurt when any child hurts like Pegge did. You just have to pray & have faith & God hears you!

I want you to know you were a wonderful help to us. Your experience with people getting bit helped.

I hope we see you again to meet you!

(note from Entomologist Richard Martyniak... This event occurred last fall, where Pegge was stung by ONE yellow jacket & suffered an allergic reaction causing very low blood pressure and unconsciousness. As an entomologist and stinging insect expert, I'm aware of the seriousness of Bee and Wasp stings. All of our trucks carry sting kits, and I administered first aid until Lake-Sumter Rescue arrived. It's quite likely that this event would have been fatal had I not been trained & prepared for such an event. As it was, Pegge was able to play golf the next morning! I will be posting a full story soon. --RMM)

Dear Sirs,

I wish to thank you profusely from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and consideration in your prompt response to my urgent need for help with bees infestation in a tree at the front entrance of my house.

You were referred to me by the City of Palm Coast. Your very professional & courteous Miss Gail Burton answered the phone and upon my desperate assertions that I was concerned about possible harm from the bees but was unable to afford the cost, very sympahtetic & humanely she told me she would consult with her boss, Mr. Richard Martyniak, & would call me back.

Within the hour, she called back to state the Mr. Martyniak had agreed to help, and he would have a technician stop by tommorrow, July 16th for treatment.

You cannot imagine how wonderful it is to find such kind and considerate people to come to the aid when there is legitimate need. I would have been in an anxious situation, not been able to afford taking care of the problem that could cause harm to others.

I am a disabled veteran living with a life threatening heart disease, and surviving on a veterans disability pension. Previously I contacted the Dept. of Agriculture, Brevard County, Brevard Zoo and other local bee keepers seeking assistance but they were unable to help. The local exterminators would not respond unless I had the ability to pay their fees. Furthermore, I suffer from an arrhythmic heart and had tri-ventricular surgery; bee strings could very well be fatal.

I, Harry R West and my wife, Pamela of 807 XXXXXXXXX Drive have the distinct pleasure of reporting some excellent and prompt service by three city employees, Hugh "DROC" Smith, Don Rainard, Charlene (last name unknown) and vendor, Jon Simkins of All Florida Bee Removal on March 18, 2011.

At about 1530 hours on March 18, 2011, I noticed an unusual number of yellow jackets in our back yard. I was subsequently able to trace the source to a nest located on the bank of a city drainage canal which runs parallel to our property and parallel to the Plant City High School Agricultural Field. The nest had three (3) large entrances and three (3) or four (4) smaller holes. There were hundreds of bees entering and leaving the holes. This is an area where Plant City High School students could be attacked by the swarming bees as could be children who occasionally play near or in the canal. It could also be particularly hazardous to city employees maintaining this canal. It being obvious that this nest constituted a clear and present danger to anyone who came in contact with same, I immediately contacted the City Of Plant City.

Charlene (last name unknown to me) took the message. Charlene was extremely concerned about the situation and conveyed the information to the appropriate department and advised me that we would be contacted very soon. She is to be commended for her concern, professionalism and great follow-through in initiating the needed services.

First on the scene was Hugh "DROC" Smith who made an initial assessment and informed Supervisor Don Rainard of the dangerous situation. Mr. Smith remained on scene until the matter was resolved. Mr. Smith was extremely courteous, concerned, and professional for his part in the matter. As taxpayers, we are greatly pleased that people of Mr. Smith's caliber work for the city.

Mr. Rainard arrived later, due to attendance at a meeting. He, too, exhibited the same concern and professionalism as did Charlene and Hugh Smith. He contacted the vendor and maintained follow-through until the vendor arrived. Mr. Rainard remained on scene until the reported issue was resolved. Mr. Rainard acted as a great supervisor should.

All three city employees worked in concert to ensure delivery of services to resolve what could, under certain conditons, have very serious or even lethal consequences.

The vendor, All Florida Bee Removal, arrived on scene less than an hour after being contacted by Mr. Rainard. The "combat" duty was performed by Entomologist Jon Simpkins. He dispatched his duties in a prompt and professional fashion. Additonally, he educated us as to the habits of these dangerous insects. I would not hesitate to request his services for bee removal on our property should it become necessary. We are happy to see that the city has established a business relationship with this obviously excellent vendor.

It is requested that a copy of this communication be placed in the personnel files of the three employees named herein, and that the excellent service provided by the vendor be taken into consideration when the time comes to renew contracts or request services.

Your company is the greatest! I wish I had you come out first, but I had called a person that says he removes bees for free and relocates them to honey farms. Well, once he came out, he would only relocate them if I paid him over $300, which I did not agree to. For $65, He sprayed them with some wasp spray and told me they would be dead in a couple of days. Well, not only were they not dead, but I had THOUSANDS of them, and now they were going after MY DOGS!!! I called you, and you sent Jason over right away. He explained that the guy was not licensed or insured and it was a mistake to spray wasp spray and leave the nest open. Jason was great, he removed the bees and explained how I can keep them away. And he charged me LESS money than that crazy guy wanted. You saved me and my doggies. You are such a blessing. God Bless.

Richard, I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job Jason did last week. He patiently explained the whole process of removing the bees, and even answered questions from our children, explaining in terms that they could understand.
