Have you tried Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms yet? If you have not, you really should give these little babies a whirl! They are so much fun to use and so easy, kids can do it! (We won’t discuss the fact that kids can do a lot more than us when it comes to some things nowadays.)

The set contains 3 spiral flowers and 3 leaf dies. Cut and emboss the spiral flowers and roll into beautiful tiny roses! Ink them, spray with Perfect Pearls or Glitter Mist, distress them, or leave them as is. You decide! They are beautiful on just about any project you can think of, and have I mentioned they are fun?

I whipped up this card and matching box with using the Bitty Blossoms in no time at all!

Hope you all have a great Memorial Weekend! We will be closed for the holiday, but back on Tuesday! See you then!

Would you like to experience love at first sight? Well, all you have to do is pick up your Teresa Collins Sweet Afternoon Paper and Accessory kit and the 6×6 paper pad (shown HERE)! I’m not kidding that I “Ooooed” and “Aaaahed” at this beauty when I got my anxious little fingers on it. As your new designer, I am so excited to be more creative with my scrapbooking and other projects. I love to make beautiful pages and I get incredibly intimidated by all the gorgeous little nothings that the companies produce.

Have no fear! Teresa Collins is here! This kit makes it so easy to create fun and beautiful pages. The accessories embellish your projects so well that it’s effortless to make them look gorgeous. You receive 9 sheets of 12×12 double-sided cardstock paper and two 12×12 sheet of double-sided die-cut accessories. Again, the 6×6 paper pad is a wonderful compliment to the kit!

I had, shall I say…ahem, a guilty indulgence in creating these pages and I’m sure you’ll have the same wonderful experience!

If I could say one thing that I love about these pages, I would say the layering! Layers, layers, LAYERS! Layers are in! It adds dimensions to a page just like it adds that extra “umph” to your outfit (come on…most of us are laying our clothes these days too). If you want a little pop of dimension, try glueing just part of an item down instead of the whole thing. For example, I layered the butterfly, but on the two outer pieces I only glued the middle part to give the illusion that it has wings. I did the same with the paisley flower. Also, never underestimate the power (and shape) of your kitchenware. To get a good, very large circle (or in this case-a half circle), I always use a dinner plate!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

I don’t know about you, but as much as I love to scrapbook, I just don’t have a lot of time to spend on my projects. As much as I would love to sit for hours and work on pages, the demands on my time rarely allow me to do that, so keeping things simple is key for me to stick with this hobby that I love.

Very simple! Keeping it simple means keeping it fun for me, otherwise, I get to stressed out and it isn’t fun anymore. It has to be fun! This is playtime! My time to relax! MINE-ALL MINE!!!!

Whoa…. stay calm. Sometimes I get a little defensive about getting some time to myself. It’s all good though. We girls need time to ourselves once in a while. Oh, and one other very important thing-Remember the CHOCOLATE!

Well folks, we are more than half way though May already and I feel like I was just at CHA drooling over the new Little Darlings Collection! I have more fun with Graphic 45 Little Darlings paper and so has Stacy Anderson. She has joined us to design and help me blog on the fabulous products! We are excited to have her and look forward to hearing from her on our blog soon!

I want to show you a couple layouts that Stacy did a while back with the Little Darlings. As a mommy of two little ones, she understands the importance of taking advantage of every quiet moment to scrapbook and keeping supplies within a collage budget! She tries to keep things simple so that she can finish layouts during those RARE moments to herself, and get them in her books before other little hands get a hold on them! I’m sure many of you can relate!

Graphic 45 makes it easy to keep those pages simple and beautiful with all of the amazing color and art in their paper.

If you are new to scrapbooking or want to start, but feel overwhelmed with the hundreds of products available on the market, remember to start out simple, then invest in some supplies that you can use over and over. A good die cutting machine and dies are great things to invest in because you can adapt the die cuts so many ways! For a comparison of die cutting machines click HERE.

There are SO many things you can do with Embossing Folders! There are a few embossing folder tips and techniques that are very simple, yet create impressive effects on projects that I would like to share with you!

Some of you likely know these already, but for those of you who are just discovering the world of embossing, you will have a blast trying these techniques which will inevidably lead you to try more!

If you are wondering what embossing folders are and what kinds there are, you can click HERE that will take you to our blog specifically focused on comparring the different embossing folders on the market that you can find at cutathome.com.

The video today will show you a couple of inking techniques and several different materials that you can emboss which you may already have laying around your house! I used the Grand Calibur machine with a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities for my demonstration, but these techniques can be used with any of the embossing folders that we carry, such as Sizzix Textured Impressions, Tim Holtz Texture Fades and Texture Trades (ATC size), Quickutz and Cuttlebug.

There are so many things you can do with these babies, but this should help you get a start on trying new things with your amazing embossing folders! If you don’t try, you will never know how much fun it can be! So grab your embossing folders, paper, die cutting machine and some ink and let’s get started!
