NARS Limited Edition "Danmari" Palette

Hey everyone! I know its been a while since I've posted but I figured why not come back with an awesome blogpost! I recently spotted the NARS Danmari palette on Sephora's website a couple of weeks ago and I knew right then that I had to have it. I've had this palette for a while, and I knew I had to share it with you all.

So, the palette is basically their first blush palette ever released! It contains 4 blush colors, one bronzer, and a highlighter.

The palette comes in the original NARS packaging, super soft, sleek and matte and is a decent size; big enough to hold a nice amount of each shade, but small enough to fit into your purse. In other words, its great for travel!

(bottom, left) Casino, (bottom, center) Super Orgasm, (bottom, right) Sin

Each pot is .12oz in this palette, a regular NARS blush is about .16oz, so you're getting a great amount for the price (65.00 U.S). If you want more of a visual think of a NARS eyeshadow, its about the same size, except the pan is deeper than the eyeshadow pan.

From video/pictures of this palette that I viewed before recieving it; I guess I was looking for it to be bigger--I was disappointed, however, it is still a great palette.

However, what puzzled me was that instead of Albatross, they put in Hungry Heart--why would you do that NARS?! Same goes for why they put Orgasm and Super Orgasm in the same palette--its beyond me!

Feminine & Floral

I've always wanted to try out some high-waisted loose-fitting shorts but I've always been iffy about it since I'm so petite. The other night I got the idea to try out the look without going out on a hunt to find the perfect pair. I turned a floral romper from Hollister (my favorite romper of the summer) and rolled it up and cinched it to create a look I've seen all over the place; fitted shirts/tanks and loose fitting high waisted shorts. I paired this look with a top knot bun and some sandals but if you want to be more daring, wear them with some wooden wedges.

Re-Uploads, Why?

Hey everyone,

So I know you’re probably here to know why some of my videos have been re-uploaded, right?

Well here’s the story. Although I adore the videos I’ve made especially because of the special music I’ve chosen for them, its not very “safe” for me to use copyrighted songs. Youtube has strict guidelines on these sorts of things and I’m going to be honest, I’ve been shrugging them off for some time now. It was not until a recent opportunity arose for me that I was told I would have to either re-upload, delete, or private some of my videos due to the music. I did NOT want to delete or just private some of my videos because, well, I like them a lot and many of them have received such positive feedback. I work extremely hard on my videos for you all and I was really disappointed but I knew that it was my fault in the first place for using audio tracks that have been copyrighted.

Anyway, this amazing opportunity is still in the works and once everything is all set up I will let you all know, I promise. I’m very excited about it and I hope you all are too!

Next thing, since I have re-uploaded about four previous videos I have changed the audio tracks as most of you have noticed already. The artist goes by the name of Skrip and he works with many different guru’s on Youtube (so if his tracks sound familiar, its because you’ve probably heard them before on another guru’s page). He’s very talented and is generously allowing me to use many of his audio tracks. He can be found at http://www.youtube.com/skripmusic. I hope you all like the new music. But, I also do want to announce that I am now actively looking for singers/songwriters (you can sing cover songs, or your own) or even just someone who makes beats. Summer Lookbook No. 1

Hey everyone,

I'm so EXCITED to be introducing my new fashion Lookbook series. Now that I'm back home, I have the ability to really make my lookbook videos the way I want them to be. I hope you all enjoy the video, I worked hard on it all week, filming and editing since Monday. I know its not perfect, but as I keep making more (that is, if you'd like to see more), they'll get better.

I filmed 6 different outfits, each consisting of different trends. The first is actually my favorite because I feel most confident in it, its such a go-to look for me. I call it my laid-back cali-cool look. Consisting of a knit crop top, a bathing suit bandeau top underneath and some white cut-off shorts and a brown belt with some flip-flops.

This look is one of my more creative looks, I just took a maxi skirt I got at Kohl's a year or two ago and made it into a dress, what I love about this is that its shorter in the front and longer in the back which makes it so much more wearable. I got inspiration for this look from the runway, I can't find the photo anymore but I'll keep checking, if I find it, I'll post it here. One item I would've added to this look is a boho headband. I forgot that!

This look consists of an off-the-shoulder peasant top and some hot pants. I really like hot pants because they give the illusion of more curve and more bum if you ask me! They also have a higher rise so you can tuck in flow-y shirts like the one I'm wearing so it doesn't look like you're swimming in your clothing. I love wearing white during the summer. It just looks great on tan skin!

This look is definitely as simple as they come. I'm not wearing many accessories, and thats ok because the print on the dress is enough in my opinion. One thing I'd change about this dress is the length, its a bit too long for my taste, but I love wearing this dress to run errands on a hot day or to the mall because its so easy to put on and take off in case I try on clothes!

This look is definitely girly. I used a belt to cinch the waist because its easy to get lost in this top (its very flow-y). I paired it with some Khaki shorts and white gladiator sandals. This is definitely something I'd wear for a outdoor lunch with a friend. Its casual yet the top's satin fabric and the belt dress it up just a bit. You could also dress it up even more by wearing heels instead of sandals.

This last look I adore, this is definitely something I'd see V. Hudgens (We all know I'm a huge fan of her style!) wearing around L.A. Its simple, yet it makes you wanna stop and stare. This look also goes to show that you don't need to go all out just to wear heels, sometimes heels look best when your look is generally casual and I mean come on! Skinny's with heels make your legs look KILLER!

This look requires a peachy blush. I use a powder blush in my tutorial but another great alternative is a creme blush because it'll give your skin that dewy effect.
I used a clear mascara for both my top and bottom lashes, as you can see Natalie's eyes are almost bare, she looks bright-eyed and wide awake.

She also has a nice glow-y tan going on so I used bronzer to lightly contour. I also applied it to my forehead, dusting any excess onto my nose.

Her skin is glistening in this photo, so to give my normal/dry skin the illusion of dewy, glistening skin, like Natalie's, I applied my e.l.f shimmering whip in "Golden Peach" to make my skin reflect sunlight.

For lips, Natalie's are very natural, almost chapped, I stuck with the natural lip, even made sure to pat my lips with a bit of foundation to create a drying effect, but I changed up the look by still applying a moisturizing lip balm.

Also, don't forget to set your makeup with a setting spray if the temperatures are hot and humid. This will prevent your makeup from melting off your face. ;)

What I've Been Up To + My Sleepy Kitties Obsession!

Hey everyone,

Feels like its been forever! I'm officially back home for the summer and I'm so excited to be back! Long humid nights and days spent poolside are what I adore about summer. . .oh and uh, can't forget the BBQ's!
I've completed my 2nd year at my University and it feels so good, I'm halfway to the finish line and I ended the semester extremely well! Its funny how during the year I stress so much over my grades (the overachiever in me dominates lol) but its all worth it, its good stress because at the end of the semester my good grades are rewards for all my hard work. I wouldn't trade my education for the world [Nerd mode!] hehe.

So I moved out of my dorm last thursday, it feels so weird to know I won't be living in the dorms ever again! I started my Youtube channel in my dorm last august! So many memories...ah..anywho! So I came home, and have been a busy bee ever since. I went to pick up my car on saturday and started work on sunday. Today I went back to filming and it feels great to be back :) I will post my new video below just in case you haven't seen it. I am going to be doing a summer series; makeup tutorials, fashion vids, and easy hair tutorials for those hot, humid, summer days. Summer is my season so don't get sick of my summer themed videos okay!? haha.

What are your plans for this summer? I think I'm going to be relaxing outdoors whenever I can, making lots of fun videos, working, annnd (sadly) get a head-start in studying for the LSAT exam! Oh and I can't forget, I want to read as many novels as I can this summer. Looks like I'll be taking a trip to Barnes & Noble to see what book I can snatch up :) If any of you have any good books you'd recommend please please please post them below or tweet/facebook them to me!

Hey everyone,

So I just uploaded a new OOTD or Outfit of the Day video and I talked briefly about my jewelry, but I wanted to discuss it a bit more because I have this new jewelry addiction and I just can't get enough!

I adore big statement pieces to spice up any casual everyday outfit and my go-to pieces are big rings. I was gifted two rings from SHOPTHELOOK and I adore them. The first is a Pink Cluster ring that I wanted originally in black but it was sold out at the time. However, I adore this pink ring, it's so chic and I always get compliments on it!

The second is this Victorian-style ring which I got just because its simple, yet big, and its a neutral color so I figured it'd go with most outfits. Only one problem; it fits me too big so I have to wrap a small hair tie around my finger to hold the ring in place. All the rings are stretch rings which is awesome because I don't really know the exact size of my fingers but I guess this stretch ring ran big. (It might also just be that I have freakishly small hands -_-)

Hey everyone,

This is kind of a random blog, but I just found this (what I think is) a hilarious picture I took around the time when I first got my Macbook a year ago. It kind of has a story to it because if you have a Mac you know that in "Photo booth" which is where you can take webcam pictures, there are 3 options, and one is to take 4 pictures in 1 take. I didn't know I had it set to that, so I originally thought I was just taking one picture and as it kept taking pictures it captured my confusion.

I think this is so funny, I don't know why. I think maybe because I was trying to be all cool in the first picture and then by the third picture I was like "woaaaah! what the hay is going on!?" and then by the fourth picture I figured it out, hence my "enlightened" facial expression. lol.

Oh and yes, this is when my hair was dyed a "Soft Black" color. So don't freak out! I didn't dye my hair back lol. . .this is an old picture!

I'm just kind of having one of those nights where I don't want to do anything but look at old photos. I'm so over this semester. I'm ready to lay poolside and put my toesies in the water :) One more month here at school then summer can finally begin. Yeah I should be doing some reading for my class tomorrow but I think I work myself too much, I don't recommend not doing homework but I'm just way too stressed. I think Friday has come two days early for me. =P

No worries, I'll just work extra hard next week, I promise ;)

Hey everyone,

I know its been a while since I've posted, its not that I don't want to but its because I am not quite sure in what direction to take my blog. Right now I'd describe my blog as more of a "chill-spot" where I can just talk about anything I want, but I've been wanting to take it in a different direction. I've been leaning toward more of a fashion blog, with some posts on make-up every now and then. Maybe like and "Outfit of the day" kind of blogspot???

Hmm....

But while I'd love to change it up, it'll definitely take up more time. Right now when I blog it doesn't take as long as if I decided to make my blog more structured. Am I making sense? lol. Argh. If you have any suggestions that'd be much appreciated, or if you think I should just keep it the way it is let me know too! I also changed the look of my blog as well, if you haven't already noticed :) nothing drastic, but the background is definitely more ME!

Dalton Mirage Blending Powder - $42 (U.S)

I actually really found this product to be useful, it really does clean up any make-up mistakes, for example if by chance I put a bit too much bronzer on one side of my face, when I apply my Blending powder it corrects the problem. If you have oily skin this also works as a great finishing powder. This product has become a part of my daily face routine and the Face Form brush included with the Mirage Powder is very revolutionary in that it is shaped specifically for our face and isn't flat like all other make-up brushes which means its able to place product in the natural creases and contours of our face. Genius Stuff!

I love the red undertones in this bronzer, its definitely unlike all the other bronzers I've used which has darker tones to them. I think the reason I like it is because its the most realistic kind of tan color I've seen. Normally when fair-skinned people tan their skin is a rosy bronze color and this is the closest to that tan that I have seen come from a powder. I must also mention the amazing compact is comes in is huge! The mirror is very large and amazing for precise application and the Puki brush is very soft.

I must say this Primer is amazing! At first glance the product when pumped looks like it might be too dark for lighter skin tones but when applied it almost becomes invisible on your face and ends up matching your skin perfectly! Not to mention it feels like your applying whipped silk to your face, I don't know how else to explain it, but I love this product and I wear it both as a primer and alone. The SPF protection is an added bonus!

Deep Line and Crease Diffuser w/ DermaFlex technology - $31 (U.S)

Vanishes lines, blemishes, redness and uneven skin tones

This concealer is light-weight and blends perfectly with just your finger. Again the product looks much darker then it really is in the container and speaking of the container, while it is very beautiful packaging, there is way too much glass container and not enough of the actual product which is kind of a bummer but a little goes a long way with this product so either way it should last a while.

As far as vanishing lines, and not creasing. This isn't a miracle product, it will not vanish lines completely especially if you are an older women. For example I tried this on my mother and it did not help her lines at all. If you are a women in your 20s-30s this could be a simple fix to a few laugh lines and under-eye creasing. Overall, I do like this product for everyday wear because of how light it feels on your skin.

Ok, this brow gel is my absolute favorite! I had been using the e.l.f brow gel kit but the first time I tried this my eyebrows looked perfect! I think its a good deal because the gel came with a standard size brow brush and gel applicator tip. If its one thing other than the face Primer that I am addicted to, its this! Hands down! Oh and again the packaging is beautiful and very well-made.

Dalton's 5 piece Color Creme Lipgloss Set - $32.94 (U.S) sale price

I have to say that these are the most moist and creamy glosses I have every tried. I wish they lasted longer though, I'd give it about 3 hours before you have to re-apply but the color pay-off is beautiful and look amazing over similar colored lipsticks. Another thing I must say is that these glosses are NOT sticky! They glide on like a dream it feels great to apply them. Both my mother and my sister tried them as well and they love the color variety and the way they feel on their lips.

The pink shade (left) "Shawny K" is my favorite shade of all. It looks amazing over my Revlon lipstick in "Baby Pink" and even alone it looks gorgeous. This burgundy color (right) "Janie" was not one of my favorites and it is actually lighter on then in the container. Another favorite of mine is "Lisa Lou" (left) which is like a peachy golden color.

Lastly (right) "Patti's Pout" is a bronzy nude color which is also very flattering. The retractable lip brush is also genius! It is so compact and the look and feel is definitely quality.

On the Set of Transformers 3!

Hey everyone,
So recently I tweeted:

A follower of mine gave me the idea to create a blogpost about this experience with pictures!
So here they are, but first some background on how this happened. Now this was in July, a month before I even starting creating youtube videos! Thats so crazy, I can't remember not making videos and I can't believe it'll be a year in August 2011! But anyway, I was headed downtown to see my boyfriend/bestfriend at the time in Chicago and I ran into the set of Transformers 3! I had no idea they were filming, I just saw a bunch of cars toppled over and trash everywhere, smoke, policemen, camera crews an everything! I thought something tragic happened in Chicago, I was terrified! But then I realized the newspapers flying into the air were not real! I was on the set of Transformers 3! So before I could take any decent pictures a cop shooed me away and said I couldn't take pictures! Ugh, I know. But later that day my boyfriend and I came back to the set and tried to sneak some shots! We even got to witness them filming a scene with an actual explosion! Here are the pictures we managed to take on this amazing summer day! Enjoy!

e.l.f Natural Eyes Palette Blog Tutorial + Cutesy talk

Hey all. I've decided I'm going to get off my butt and make more blogs. Wait...thats not right, I'd have to be sitting down to update my blog right? Well I'll be sitting on my butt more often updating =P

Anyway, I am very frustrated, I was filming a tutorial on this eye look (see picture at left) and my camera died which is probably for the best because I was filming during the evening and the lighting sucked so it was most likely a sign from my camera and the youtube Gods that I shouldn't be filming at the moment. haha.

Its really upsetting that my lighting more often than not completely sucks. Its super hard to do tutorials in this room and its killing me because I have so many looks I'd like to show you all. So until I get a new camera (and I know its been taking a while but the one I want is over a 1,000 dollars (U.S) and I decided not to be a spoiled brat and ask my parents to buy it for me so I'm saving up on my own but I have other priorities as of right now so bare with me) I will be posting pictures of any looks I think you all would like on my blog. Luckily the camera I have takes amazing pictures...I mean it better it was 400 bucks when I first bought it! >=I

Now to the beauty talk! I've said this in past videos and I will say it again. I love e.l.f's natural face palette! Ah! The colors are fabulous (esp. since I love neutral eye looks for everyday). I use the palette a lot believe it or not but the color pay-off is so great that you only need a bit to make a gorgeous everyday look. Sadly, I barely use the gold color because well, I need to get out more! haha. No really, back to the point...I was filming a tutorial with this palette but it was a major fail (read above) so I decided I'd explain my everyday eye look with you all instead.

First I apply (using a fluffy blending brush) the bottom left color which is a champagne-y color to my lid, then I use a crease brush and apply the lighter brown on the top right corner to my crease and blend upwards, next I take that fluffy blending brush again and blend that out. Afterwards I apply my brow bone highlight (top left) and I'm done! Then I add some eyeliner and mascara and I'm good to go. (If this sounds super simple, its because it is. This would be a very short tutorial if I uploaded it to youtube, which is probably a good thing!

Just a few updates!

Hey everyone!

First week of my spring semester finally finished. The first day/week of school has always been really weird for me since I was a child, I feel excited and nervous at the same time because I don't know what to expect, but I am excited about how its going to go. Do any of you feel that way when going back to school?

I think my brain is still trying to adjust to the fact I have homework now and reading to do. Everytime I try to look at my homework, I space out and end up doing something else. Luckily its friday so I have the weekend to get my act together! Wish me luck!

In other news, we all know I've got lots of love for fellow Youtube Beauty guru Andreaschoice, she just makes everything so simple to do! So I decided I'd try out her latest hair tutorial the "bird's nest bun". I must admit, I wasn't able to spend much time on it but I've gotta say for being in a rush, I did a decent job...right? ha ha.

I recommend you all to try it, its very chic. ;)

I also recently recieved a palette I am just so excited to keep experimenting with, I purchased my first palette from a company called "Sedona Lace". If you haven't heard of them and are crazy about eyeshadow palettes check them out!

I ordered the 88 "metal" palette and it consists of a lot of very use-able colors. What I mean by this is that a lot of these colors are perfect for everyday looks and seeing as though I mostly use very neutral colors on my eyes, it really gives me a chance to try different shades without it being too dramatic. Here are a few swatches of some of the "brighter" colors. This palette retails for 19.95 U.S dollars, but they ship Worldwide as well.

So obviously the PROS outweigh the CONS but what I mean by it not being great for everyday wear is because (although I use it everyday) its very difficult to get the little amount you need from the pump and to get the perfect amount you really need to push on the pump as lightly as you can but still hard enough to get some product out, it takes a hell of a lot of practice :(. I got mine for the sole purpose of covering my under-eye circles and I got it in a shade lighter to serve as more of a highlight under my eyes.

If you are a first time MAC foundation/concealer user, definitely go in and have the make-up artist find the right color for you, MAC color numbers are very confusing but I am planning a much-requested video about how to choose the correct colors for your skin-tone so stay tuned for that.

The MAC Pro-Longwear Concealer retails for 16.50 (U.S).

I also use the MAC Pro-Longwear Foundation as well and my color in that is NW25 and retails for 29.50 (U.S)

Baby Steps to eating Healthier!

As most of you may know (that is, if you watched my New Year Resolutions video) you will know I decided to try and eat healthier this year. (Yeah, yeah Kayla...you and the other 6 billion people on this earth!) But before you write me off, I actually found some amazing foods that are actually de-lish!

Food #1: Oranges
Can you say juicy!? Oh my, if you pick the perfect orange from your local produce store your taste buds will thank you. Here's my little story as to how I began to love oranges. My family and I (mom & dad) are in the car and of course my mom is eating an orange (she always eats healthy), she offers me one and I said no, but then I realized I had a huge headache and it was most likely because I hadn't eaten since early morning so I took it and "boy, was it amazing!" Its so refreshing and juicy, (I know I'm being really weird about an orange but I am NOT a typical fruit eater, unless its drenched in high fructose corn syrup ha. no I'm kidding! But typically I don't eat bare fruit)

Benefits of Oranges? PLENTY
For one you get a (excuse my french) Shit load of Vitamin C which in terms you can understand means it helps your body stay clear from sickness like the common cold, or the flu, but you also get the added benefits of Potassium which helps maintain your cardiovascular system which is perfect for those of us who head to the gym ;) It also contains Folic acid which assists in proper brain function (which all highly motivated college students need) and so much more!

Next is: Spinach!
I don't understand why people stay away from Spinach so much, its a great substitute for lettuce in a salad. Amazing! Honestly, it doesn't even taste like anything but add a little bit of Caesar dressing and your mouth will beg for more!

Benefits of Spinach? Too many to list here!
Vitamin C again, of course! Folic Acid and Iron! Speaking of Iron. I think what many women don't get enough of is Iron. Did you know lack of Iron in the blood-stream can cause Anemia which can lead to Cancer? Anemia is not a fun illness, as I have two family members who suffered from it from lack of eating.

I am not going to blab on about Oranges and Spinach all day but I just wanted to mention two of my newly found health foods that I will definitely be keeping on my menu. I also would like to encourage you all to try these two power-house vitamin packed foods out and if you have any health foods that you'd like to recommend to me leave them down below, let's help each other get the body and mind we want; a healthy one.

New Year, New me, & New You!

Hey everyone,

I know its been a very long time since I've blogged. But here it goes. With 2011 upon us its the perfect time for change. Not just physical change like keeping your body healthy but keeping your heart and mind healthy as well. I definitely entered the New Year without a lot of the people I had the year before, and while yes, it does "suck". Its the perfect time for me to grow as a person. Everyone needs their independence, especially at the stage I am at in my life right now so I am going to dedicate my time to 3 things this year.

1. Hard-core dedication to what has become a great passion and hobby of mine. Youtube! I really would like to make my videos more engaging, and useful so I will definitely be working extra hard on them and making sure to bring you quality videos. Nothing will be "half-assed" this year.

2. Giving my time. I definitely want to volunteer during my next semester at school. As soon as I get back I will be researching opportunities near campus in which I can give my time. I would really love to work with young girls, sort of like a "big sister" opportunity. Personally, I feel that if we want to see change in our world we need to start with the generations to come. It would be my goal to influence young girls that its okay to be who you are, and to empower them to be strong and independent, capable of doing whatever they set their minds to and instill in them the belief that they can accomplish anything on their own.

3. Lastly, I will continue to follow the path I am paving for myself. I have accomplished so much in the last year that I am using the start of a new year to fuel my ambitions. I want to focus more than ever now on my education. I want to take care of my body, and keep my heart and mind open and optimistic.

With these three goals I have set for myself I hope to make 2011 another very special year. Life is too short to procrastinate. Dreams are free, but you have to pay the price to make them a reality and I am willing to go full-force at all the goals I want to accomplish this year.

I hope that this blog encourages any of you out there reading this. "Its not about the destination, its the journey" so make this journey through life a good one and know that the power is in your hands and that you don't need anyone's help to get where you want to be.

I wish you all the best with your New Years Resolutions and know that I'll be here to encourage any of you if you need it.

Lately I feel like I haven't been posting as many tutorials and beauty/fashion videos as I should be and I just wanted to Apologize. :(

Well the beauty/fashion dry spell of no videos will be over soon enough! I plan to film a beauty video or two...tomorrow.

I am just grateful that a lot of you are waiting patiently. I know there's a lot of people who get frustrated and decide to unsubscribe because of lack of videos and whatnot so for those of you who have stuck through it with me I'd like to Thank you all. This weather is an A*hole. I mean you expect it to be freezing so you dress all cute and bundled up and you end up sweating your butt off walking to class. This is not cool. I never thought I'd say this but the snow should stop playing and come already. Or just not come at all...lets just skip Winter and go right back to Summer again. Yeah? Okay great!

Update time: I'm heading home Tuesday afternoon for the Holiday. I am super psyched for Thanksgiving, especially to decorate the Christmas tree. :) But then...I have to wake up for work at 2:30 am. I start at 3:45am Black friday...ugh...wish me luck lol. I work the rest of the Holiday weekend. I hope hope hope I can post up a video in between work and family time!

Haha. Nice title huh? 8 years of french and thats the only phrase I can say perfectly. Sad...I know.
Okay, so now to the important stuff. I have been receiving tons of questions for an upcoming FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) video I am preparing for you all. I know many of you are curious about a lot and I will be addressing all of the repeated questions I have been receiving on youtube and twitter. As far as when I will be posting this video, I have not set a specific date yet, I want to make it extra special so I would like to set aside time for it specifically and not just video-tape it in between classes. I also have a few other Beauty related vids I want to film as well, so I'm a bit stuck.

Anyway, if you have anymore curious questions you'd like to ask me go ahead and leave them down below or on my channel.

Also, I am excited because I have a haul video I'm going to be doing hopefully later this week. Last week I ordered a bunch of items from e.l.f's website and I am excited to see what the buzz is about with their products. I have heard that they are of pretty good quality for the extremely low price and I know many of my viewers would like to see more affordable make-up products and I hear you all! I think theirs enough "Brand" guru's out there, and lets be real here, more often than not people are not going to want to spend 30 dollars on a lipstick. I am not saying that I don't do this...I don't want to be a hypocrite here, but I am trying to reach out to both types of shoppers. You understand right?

I actually had a twitter before when Twitter wasn't even popular yet, but I deleted it because...well, no body really knew about it so I was one LONELY tweeter! I actually first found out about Twitter in Seventeen Magazine. Ah, I literally use to have like over 100+ copies of Seventeen, because I use to subscribe to their magazine and I never wanted to throw away any old issues, but I had to when I moved because I couldn't take them all with me, it would've been a hassle. I use to sit and look through my older issues just to see how the styles have changed, and what hasn't. Plus the beauty and skin articles always came in handy because most never went out of style.

But on another note. I've been loving all of your comments, and I have been trying to get back to as many as I can. If your wondering why I haven't responded to your comment its probably because I've gotten a lot of the same questions being asked and I've either already answered it, or I will be answering it in an upcoming video or I will be posting a little FAQ on my channel.

I am excited to start filming my upcoming video, I have sooo many I want to get up, and I will be filming one tomorrow, but I am not going to give away what its about yet. So just stay tuned on that. A lot of you have been giving me some great ideas for upcoming vids and I'm totally excited!

Hey Everyone,

Ah. It finally got cold out here where I live. :( Sadness...I hate cold weather, I just hate being cold, in general! Its currently 52 degrees out. So perfect time to discuss skincare!

I've discussed earlier how to keep your skin hydrated for winter, but I'd like to talk a little bit more about my background with acne and how I prevent it and keep my skin looking and feeling healthy.
I went through a time during highschool (I was like 15 going on 16) when I did have acne, but it was not very red and inflamed acne, it was just bumpy and irritated acne. I had it on my cheeks and on my forehead, and I had it during the summer months which didn't make it any easier to deal with because my skin was always sweating and just making it worse. I even went as far as getting perscription acne creme to help it but I soon realized it would go away on its own with just a bit of TLC from myself. So since then I have been taking good care of my skin by cleansing and moisturizing daily and choosing makeup products that are gentle on my skin like Neutrogena products who's foundations even help prevent acne! Not many makeup products do that so I definitely recommend Neutrogena for people with acne-prone or sensitive skin, and don't forget the face moisturizer!

Another important fact I forgot to mention in the video is that water is very important to any skincare routine. Water helps to keep the body hydrated and looking and feeling its best. Literally! I drink water whenever I can even when I don't feel thirsty or dehydrated. It is said that once you feel dehydrated you've already done damage to your body and skin. SO drink plenty of water to get fresh, clean and hydrated skin!

Products to Hydrate your skin even in bitter cold weather!

Hey everyone!

So as I have said before, I recently did some shopping at Bath and Body Works. I adore their products and I stocked up on a few must have items to help keep my skin nice and healthy just in time for the color weather about to drop down on my town. :)

I talked about these products in my recent beauty video on my youtube channel and now it's down below for you to check out if you haven't already.

I just wanted to list the products discussed in my blog with some further discussion about each.

The first product is the Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Butter which is actually a new improved formula and is said to hydrate and heal your skin within 1 week. Not only does it smell delicious but it has a thickness to it that definitely does the job. I like to use it on my arms and legs which are most prone to dryness and I use an unscented moisturizer for the rest of my body. I love it and these body butters retail for 15.00 dollars.

The next item is the Rose Salve multi-purpose salve which I am completely obsessed with! I love this product because not only can it be used for your lips but for any area on your body that is dry! Your knees, elbows, anywhere on your face, even your cuticles! I am truly obsessed with rose salve and it smells like roses. Its great! I definitely would run out and get this one if I were you. This product retails at 5.50 and can be found in Bath & Body's lipcare section.

Now, I am very prone to breakage and dryness in my hands, particularly on my cuticles. So not only does the Rose Salve help but I found a miracle product called "Just a minute" 60 second manicure scrub, and it is to die for! I love how soft my hands feel after using this and how clean my nail beds look. This product is part of the Bath & Body spa care line "True Blue Spa" products and retails for 12.00 dollars.

Bath and body also carries lip glosses in different amazing flavors! I recently purchased the Liplicious brand "Tasty lip color" in Passionfruit Guava. This is one of their colored lip glosses which is something you have to look out for when purchasing a lipgloss from Bath and Body, they have sheer lipgloss that just gives a nice sheer lip and smells amazing and they have tinted lip glosses for an extra dose of color. I love their lip products because not only do they help moisturize your skin with added vitamins and nutrients but they go on smoothly and never stick. They retail at 7.50.

These products are all definitely well priced (under 20.00) and will definitely help to heal and protect your skin from any harm done by harsh winter winds.

Hey everyone,

Okay so maybe I didn't get to posting that beauty video up today but, it will be up this weekend. FOR SURE! However, I did post something up! I am super excited that I finally own a faux leather jacket. I have been wanting one for a long long time! But I am just so picky and had pretty much no time to go look for the perfect one that I snoozed big time! Today that all changed! I decided to just buy one when I saw one at Target (we all know I love Target!) and now I am happy to say I am a proud owner of a new Faux Leather Jacket. :) For those of you who don't yet have one, I would definitely consider it, they are so chic and give you a definite bad girl vibe! haha. Anyway, here's the video if you haven't already seen it:

I discussed me not eating very much in this video, but I just want to make it clear that I do eat! & it is not okay to starve yourself for whatever reason, that is why I am taking vitamins so I can stay healthy. I do eat its just I am very picky with the food at my University. So don't get the wrong impression please! I am very aware of the negative effects of refusing to eat, and I do eat, I just wish it were a home-cooked meal. :)

To give you all a little sneak peek at my Skin care beauty video I will be posting up before the end of this week, it involves a lot of products from Bath & Body works. All of these products are suppose to be great for your skin and I figured its a perfect time to do a video on how to keep your skin healthy just in time for the bitter cold of winter.
