Dr. Rick Cline has worked for the Utah Education Network for the past twelve years. As an instructional technologist, Dr. Cline teaches educators how to use technology in the classroom. For the past five years he has been managing the NetSafe Utah project at UEN.

This project has involved coordinating the efforts of trainers including himself to present on Internet safety to Utah’s teens and parents statewide. He received a Master’s and Doctorate degree in the field of Instructional Technology at Utah State University.

In 2002, at the age of 22 and with no outside capital, he founded Pro Computer Service (PCS) in his parents’ home. Today, his IT firm has three offices and operates in four states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland).

Pro Computer Service has more than $2 million in annual revenue and a staff of 17 that offers complete computer services ranging from single-use to companies with more than 5,000 employees. Even during this growth, he kept the majority of employees at the home office in Burlington County.

Mongeluzo is also the founder of Monge Realty LLC, which makes strategic investments in the residential and commercial real estate markets.

 

His business interests range from how to grow a business successfully to developing qualities of leadership. “A leader is someone who inspires people and brings the best out of others,” Mongeluzo says. “And a leader listens carefully, without prejudgment, to those around him.”

Mongeluzo is one of 5,000 people worldwide who have achieved Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Early Achiever status and holds certifications in nine categories. He scored in the top one percent of the ETS field business exam.

He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Rowan University in 2002. As an undergraduate, he carried a full-time student load while working full-time.

Anthony’s advice was very clear and simple to use, to stop most of your email problems and fix those that you can do by yourself and save yourself hundreds of dollars… and the heartache of getting your ID stolen, and/or worse getting your personal accounts hacked and loosing everything you own!!!

Although you may be old and wise enough to tell the difference between fiction and fact, marketing scheme and a truly good product or service,  between predator and friend, your children may not be as discerning as you. Here are a few tips.

• 1. Surf the Internet or watch TV together.

Of course, you aren’t always going to be able to look over your child’s shoulder while she is watching TV or surfing the Internet. But the point of occasionally viewing media together is so that you can point out different things to your child as she views them. You also can get a feel for the sorts of things your kids enjoy viewing and their internet use habits.

• 2. Talk about what you’ve seen or heard.

After school when you are sitting with your kid eating dinner or otherwise spending time together, it’s important to talk to your child about the media “messages” they received that day. By asking them different questions, they will learn to become more receptive and aware of the media-saturated environment in which they are constantly inundated.

• 3. Help them understand the idea of targeted marketing.

Although predators, cyberbullies, and other dangers that lurk specifically on the Internet are definitely something to be worried about, marketing and advertising is much more pervasive. While you can protect your children from online predators you cannot protect them from advertising, so the most important thing is to help them understand how it works. Talk to your children about targeted advertising and how it is created in order to get a very specific type of person to buy into a specific product, based on their online activity.

• 4. Teach them about different scams, hacks, and viruses.

Of course, most digital natives (children who were born after the advent of the Internet as we know it now) already know about hacks and viruses. They may know more than you do. But especially for young children who are just beginning to form an online presence on various sites like Facebook, it is important to talk to them about privacy controls, knowing when to open an email and when not to, etc.

It’s certainly a scary world out there, and not just on the Internet but virtually everywhere. The most important thing to remember is that the more knowledge you child has, the more equipped she will be to make smart decisions.

why? It’s just business | it’s not Personal
how? Read the book, please | How is Knowledge gained? YOU earn IT (on your back) of course!

This is KNOWLEDGE!

You’ll learn as you listen, when you are a prostituted CHILD, you have no CHOICE, and our society as a whole makes this very evident!! here are 2 examples:

a. a young 14 year blonde teenager standing on a street corner, is lured into a van and forcible taken against her will and then FORCED to perform sexually with 42-year-old child (rapist) molester! is she a Victim ? and is the 42-year-old college professor named John… is HE a criminal?

 

b. a young 14 year blonde teenager standing on a street corner, is picked up in a van by her pimp and forcible taken against her will and then FORCED to perform sexually with 42-year-old John, is she a Victim ? and is he the 42 John, a criminal? how about the pimp, is he a criminal? are both of these men just as culpable as the above (pedophile) example, are they child (rapists) molesters too?

Because I had the opportunity to interview Julian 3 years ago on OSA and almost simultaneously I met and interviewed David C. Ballard on OSA that same summer of 2007… how would I every have known at that time… how much those few moments in time (3 1/2 yrs ago) would change my online life & being and becoming a Radio Security Journalist

Plus, I had the opportunity to ask Julian 2 very tough questions… one was, are the (predator) know as a pimp the same as a (predator) known as a pedophile… how they use their intelligence and skills to twist, manipulate, coerce children that are potential victims?

And he said absolutely not that a pimp do anything he has to when it comes to his stable of prostitutes… because it is only Business, it’s never personal !! listen to the interview hear all his responses to some great thoughtful questions from the CHW partners and the even better answers given by one of the top investigative journalist in the world!!

Because, TRUST Me… there are no second chances when it comes to the very smart and professionals called pimps, human traffickers and con-artists who use the very same principles and techniques that good parents use daily to teach their children… LOVE, Understanding, friendship and yes someone to talk to them, but most importantly they listen to your kids and that’s there IN, to build the relationship… and it only takes one bad (wrong) choice, and having these horrific consequences that last a life time…

For Immediate Release – December 22, 2010

Presidential Proclamation–National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Our Nation was founded on the enduring principles of equality and freedom for all.  As Americans, it is our solemn responsibility to honor and uphold this legacy.  Yet, around the world and even within the United States, victims of modern slavery are deprived of the most basic right of freedom.  During National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we rededicate ourselves to preventing and ending human trafficking, and we recognize all who continue to fight this serious human rights violation.

Human trafficking is a global travesty that takes many forms.  Whether forced labor or sexual trafficking, child soldiering or involuntary domestic servitude, these abuses are an affront to our national conscience, and to our values as Americans and human beings.  There is no one type of victim — men and women, adults and children are all vulnerable.  From every corner of our Nation to every part of the globe, we must stand firm in defense of freedom and bear witness for those exploited by modern slavery.

At the start of each year, Americans commemorate the Emancipation Proclamation, which became effective on January 1, 1863, and the 13th Amendment, which was signed by President Abraham Lincoln and sent to the States for ratification on February 1, 1865.  These seminal documents secured the promise of freedom for millions enslaved within our borders, and brought us closer to perfecting our Union.  We also recall that, over 10 years ago, the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000 renewed America’s commitment to combating modern slavery domestically and internationally.  With this law, America reaffirmed the fundamental promise of “forever free” enshrined within the Emancipation Proclamation.

We cannot strengthen global efforts to end modern slavery without first accepting the responsibility to prevent, identify, and aggressively combat this crime at home.  No country can claim immunity from the scourge of human rights abuses, or from the responsibility to confront them.  As evidence of our dedication to a universal struggle against this heinous practice, the Department of State’s “Trafficking in Persons Report 2010″ included America in its rankings for the first time, measuring our efforts by the same standards to which we hold other nations.  Looking ahead, we must continue to aggressively investigate and prosecute human trafficking cases within our own borders.

Although the United States has made great strides in preventing the occurrence of modern slavery, prosecuting traffickers and dismantling their criminal networks, and protecting victims and survivors, our work is not done.  We stand with those throughout the world who are working every day to end modern slavery, bring traffickers to justice, and empower survivors to reclaim their rightful freedom.  This month, I urge all Americans to educate themselves about all forms of modern slavery and the signs and consequences of human trafficking.  Together, we can combat this crime within our borders and join with our partners around the world to end this injustice.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim January 2011 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, culminating in the annual celebration of National Freedom Day on February 1. I call upon the people of the United States to recognize the vital role we can play in ending modern slavery and to observe this month with appropriate programs and activities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-second day of December, in the year of our Lord two thousand ten, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-fifth.
