Demand the truth; sign the petition to make President Obama reveal his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate!
At the risk of being labeled a "birther", which I am not .... real or perceived, the (hopefully unfounded) controversy regarding President Obama's citizenship continues to fester. It is
rankling harmful outrage and strife in what is already an overly divisive political climate .
Article 2, Section 1 of the constitution requires our president to be a "natural born citizen". We the People have a right to know, with certainty, that our President meets this requirement.    WorldNetDaily (WND) launched a campaign with petition to force closure on this divisive issue.   More than 450,000 people have signed the petition. I signed it in the interest of transparency and I recommend others do as well. Although, success of this petition alone will not resolve all controversy.
As an avowed advocate of transparency in government, it behooves President Obama to release documents relevant to his citizenship and make them available for public scrutiny. Presently, only a "certification of live birth" (AKA short-form birth certificate) is publicly available .   Although acceptable as proof of citizenship for obtaining a passport, there is controversy concerning the validity of short-form birth certificates to prove being "natural born"; specifically, the validity of birth location on the short-form certificate is in dispute.   This is because, as WND reports, HAWAII state law at the time of Obama's birth allowed parents or others to register a birth in Hawaii after the fact; allegedly, during this time, Hawaii issued short-form birth certificates for foreign-born babies.   Accordingly, WND's petition asks for "a complete birth certificate ... including the actual city and hospital of birth" (AKA a long-form birth certificate).
Some degree of controversy will undoubtedly persist no matter what.   Still, in defense of our constitution, it behooves US authorities to investigate contentious arguments regarding the president's citizenship, ensure evidence is authenticated by irreproachable experts, and publish a full accounting of the investigation and its results.    WND's petition does not make this request but these things must be done.
The mere release of a long-form birth certificate that attests to a birth location in Hawaii will not squelch controversy without trustable assurance of the document's authenticity and its validity as measured by how well what it states can be corroborated with other known and relevant information; e.g., about the birth hospital, attending physician and hospital personnel, parental whereabouts and residence, etc..    Otherwise, sources on both sides of the argument would just perpetuate the divide as they do today with regard to the authenticity of the president's short-form birth certificate.

Please take a minute to sign this petition keeping Government control OUT of healthcare. Then call your congressman and senators and give them a piece of your mind on this horrible bill!

Ask congress to stop any increased role of the government in your health care decisions, protect your right to choose your own doctors and hospitals without delay or denial, obtain care that is patient-centered, and to have health care that is personal, portable, and best suits your needs. The petition is short and to the point; it falls short on specifics and fails to bring up the thousand objectionable elements of the bill – which all must be defeated. But, it is a strong show of dissent - almost 900,000 people have signed it, including me. I recommend you sign as well.

We need health care reform but not what this bill proposes. I've read most of it and there isn't anything in it that I can support - it hurts most Americans and puts the future of our country at great risk.

The Federal Reserve’s inner-workings are shrouded in secrecy. Just recently, the Federal Reserve told Congress “NO WAY” when asked to account for TWO TRILLION DOLLARS in taxpayer-backed loans! They know coming clean with Congress and the American people on how they doled out those two TRILLION dollars would result in an anti-Fed firestorm.
So can you imagine the impact of a full-scale audit?

With an audit of the Federal Reserve, the American People will clearly see what the Federal Reserve System leads to, namely:

Constant economic crises -- the housing crisis and the resulting chaos is just one example of an economic bubble created by centrally-planned interest rates and money manipulation;
The destruction of the middle class -- as fuel, food, housing, medical care and education costs soar, everyone who is NOT on the government dole is forced to make do with less as the value of their money slowly decreases; and,
Currency destruction -- history shows us that riots, violence and full-scale police states can result when people finally realize fiat money isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on and REFUSE to accept it.

We may be closer than we’d like to think to learning that history lesson first hand -- right here on the streets of our towns and cities.

Since 2004 Rep. Hilda Solis, President Obama's nominee for Secretary of Labor, has served as a board member and treasurer of American Rights at Work (ARW) a pro-union organization actively lobbying Congress for passage of the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA). In fact, ARW spent $110,000 in 2007 and $120,000 in 2008 on lobbying expenses supporting legislation that Rep. Solis cosponsored. This is exactly the type of brazen conflict of interest that House ethics rules strictly prohibit, which is why Rep. Solis apparently kept her affiliation with ARW a secret from her colleagues. Conflicts of interest, unethical behavior; can we really trust Rep. Solis to run the Department of Labor?

This bill is would more accurately be termed the Employee Forced Choice Act for that's what it enables - unions forcing employees to join unions. The bill would take away the secret ballot that exists today, allow union bosses to know who is for and who is against the union so that they can exert pressure on the naysayers until they join the union.
