Two new "Cyden" horses arrive safely from Germany

Cyden Chess and Cyden Cabanza are now settling in well at Cyden Dressage. Both horses made the journey over from Germany last week and are currently out enjoying some well needed grass and nutrition!! Needless to say both arrived a little poor so are having the winter in lush grass and will come back onto the yard and ready for break in around next spring.

Lara is concentrating on Training over the Winter now with all Cyden Horses. She had many weekend and between Christmas and New Year planned at the Eilbergs to concentrate on Cyden Perplex's training ahead of the Winter Regionals in March.

Lara had a outing this weekend with Cyden Debonair now qualified for Winter Regionals at Elementary Open, Cyden Pinto Z scoring two 70%+ test to also now qualify for the winter regionals at Elementary Open and Cyden Perplex is qualified for the Winters at Advanced Medium.

Novemeber is an exciting month for Lara and Cyden Dressage as the two three year old are coming over from Germany to be broken and start their competitive career in 2012.

Sadly Cyden Pinto Z is up for sale as he was always planned on being a project for Lara to bring on and sell within a 6 months timescale, 9 months on and i'm having to make the hard decision to sell this fantastic horse to allow space for the always planned three year olds!! BBQ and Shopping Extravaganza evening

Cyden Dressage is holding a BBQ and Shopping Extravaganza evening - Thurs 1st June from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Daniella Draper Jewellery, Freedom Dressage (clothing and horse ware) and Individual gifts for the house from Annabel Fisher will also be available throughout the evening.

Qualification for Nationals

Following a successful day at Frys in May, Cyden Perplex is now qualified for the BD Regionals at Advanced Medium level and Cyden Debonair at Elementry open - so Lara is now concentrating on training with all three horses now qualified. Lara has five days at Maria Eilbergs planned in June so watch this space for more info on this.

Good results before nationals

Lara and Cyden Perplex won the Medium 73 qualify at Frys on Sat 2nd April on 74.8%, good last run before the nationals. Dixi and dude are currently off competing and working on training for the next couple of months having already qualifed for the regionals.

Due to some unseen complications with a recent server upgrade it's possible that some emails to Lara might not have been delivered.

If you have tried to contact Lara via her website Contact page or directly to laradysoncoaching@cydendress***.c*m (I haven't given the full email address in order to protect it from spam bots) during the last few days and have not had a reply, please try again.

Some emails have got through but it's possible some haven't. It was a bit of a weird and not particularly noticeable problem and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Horseworld - Wins 74.4%, 71.6%

Good day for all the Cyden Team on Sunday, Cyden Pinto Z won the two novice classes with 74.4% and 68%, and Cyden Debonair won Elem on 71.4%. Also out was Jess Martin riding Lara's Ermin Street coming second in both Prelim sections, and a huge congratualtions to clients Bev Midwood with two fantastic Elementary tests, Nancy Tillet with Kolan and Millie Pritchard Swayby with Datcher for both first time out at British Dressage fantastic scores and tests ridden.

Lara is taking her three "Cyden" Horses to Laughton Manor this weekend for their first outing of 2011. Followed by two days at Sheepgate on the 22nd and 23rd January. Cyden Debonair, Cyden Pinto Z and Cyden Perplex.

Laura will also be joining Lara for a fresh start (hopefully not too chilly) to 2011 at Sheepgate riding her own Cranswick's.com

Four tests 70% Plus for Lara

Lara was out competing at Horseworld EC this wkend - Riding her own Cyden Debonair winning Nov 27 on 72.8% and second in N34 to her other ride Pinto Z on 70.5%. Pinto Z came to Lara on Thursday for her to ride and compete at the wkend scoring 71.6% in first novice and 74.6% to win in the second test, Lara was over the moon with both horses.

Lara Dyson would like to welcome the latest addition to her team at Cyden Dressage, Physiotherapist - Anna Nelson.

Anna is a Chartered Physiotherapist who completed her physiotherapy degree in Liverpool in 1997, 12 years ago. After graduating, Anna worked within the NHS until 2000 when she moved into the private sector, specialising in sports injuries and musculoskeletal problems.

Lara Dyson

TWO talented horse riders from the region claimed victory at the British Dressage Northern Regional Championships.

Healing's Lara Dyson and Caistor's Katy Hurst won the medium and elementary sections respectively in the event at Frys, near Driffield.

Victory means the pair will both compete in the Dressage Deluxe National Dressage Championships, held next month at Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth.

Dyson, pictured, – who is in contention for a place on the British Equestrian Federation's World Class Dressage Equine Pathway Programme – is now back-to-back regional champion.

Last year she finished ninth in the nationals on her horse Cyden Perplex.

Hurst also has previously tasted high-level competition in the saddle: in April she took part in the Mitsubishi Motors Grass Roots Competition – part of the Badminton International Horse trials.

Jess Martin - New Groom at the Cyden Dressage Yard

Lara Dyson would like to welcome the latest addition to her team at Cyden Dressage, new Groom - Jess Martin.

Jess has competed in everything from Pony Club competitions to affiliated show jumping and eventing. Unfortunately with the passing of her competition horse she's off the circuit whilst bringing on her young horse to event.

Lara and Plex are heading to the nationals in a couple of weeks after their win at the Regionals at Frys. Plex has now recovered from his lung infection and is back on full form and fitness, (bucking out hacking!) Watch this space!!!!

Lara has been selected to ride at the Home International representing the Northern region on Laura Jarvis's cranswick's.com (Diesel) at Advanced Medium level. Lara has been competing Diesel as Laura has had two Hip operations and has been out of action, Laura is now back in action riding again so Lara is very grateful to her for lending her Diesel for this big competition.
