VASTU

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 13 Mar 2014 13:09:00 +0000

VASTU 'Science of LIVING - ARCHITECTURE - CONSTRUCTION'

Vastu is the bridge between man and nature. Everything is made up of basic five elements – FIRE, WATER, EARTH, SPACE, and AIR. All These elements are found only on earth, and that is why it is the only planet that supports life and nature. If the residential and commercial buildings are constructed without any regards to these elements, then no benefits will be attained. Each of the five basic elements give us a precious gift from the powers of the universe.
All materials in the world, irrespective of their size, shape, colour, physical or chemical compositions have embedded their origins from one of the 'Panchbhootas'. They all enjoy a peculiar vibration level, which evades the intelligence of human beings.
The Vastu science is based upon the laws of nature. The equilibrium we observe in nature is easily perceivable by us in all moving bodies, but unfortunately we are unable to note this equilibrium in static bodies. The basic source of energy of the whole world is stored at the North and South poles. It flows uninterruptedly from the North Pole to the South Pole in the form of magnetic waves. Therefore Southward portion of every building should be higher than the northward portion, in order to avoid any hindrance to the flow of magnetic waves.
Our ancient Vastu Shastra has been founded in such a way, that the inmates can derive maximum benefits from sun-rays and the energies of the sun like heat light, UV rays – the only reliable source of Vitamin D (Vitamin D is absorbed by the blood directly when the bare skin is exposed to sun), which is vital for sustenance of life on earth.
Uttaraayana and Dakshinaayana are of great scientific importance since daytime will be more than the night time in the Uttaraayana facilitating availability of more sun light.
The Eastern direction assumes a great significance because morning sunrays emit more light and less heat, hence is the best. In the afternoon, the sun moves towards West, and emits Infrared rays, which are detrimental to health. Thus, due to all these reasons, it is explicitly laid down in Vastu Shastra that more open space, more windows and doors fixed, more balconies and verandahas should be provided towards the East and the North side, than in the South and the West side.
The most important aspect considered while formulating Vastu Shastra is the magnetic field of the Earth, which has significant influence on the human life. The human body itself acts as a magnet with the head, the heaviest as North Pole. If the head is directed towards the North while sleeping, the North Pole of the Earth and that of the human body repel each other affecting the blood circulation, causing disturbed sleep, tension and other problems. Thus, it is said by Vastu Shastris that one should not sleep facing his head towards North.

ECO DESIGN

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 13 Mar 2014 13:07:00 +0000

ECO DESIGN

Ecodesign is an approach to design of a product with special consideration for the environmental impacts of the product during its whole lifecycle. In a life cycle assessment the life cycle of a product is usually divided into procurement, manufacture, use and disposal. Ecodesign is a growing responsibility and understanding of our ecological footprint on the planet. Green awareness, over population, industrialization and an increased environmental population have led to the questioning of consumer values. It is imperative to search for new building solutions that are environmentally friendly and lead to a reduction in the consumption of materials and energy.

Why Eco Design Homes?

Knowledge

We've been studying and using these techniques for over 30 years. We keep up on all the new innovations and products that pop up every day. We know what works and what doesn't, what's essential and what's optional, what's cost-effective and what's not.

Commitment

We believe in this. "Green" building with real substance behind it is not only of immediate benefit to the homeowner, it will be essential to our future and our children's future. We were green before it was cool – and we always will be.

THE ECO DESIGN PROCESS

The home has to be what you want Your style, your look, your features, your feel. we analyze your site, and help you take full advantage of views, land utilization, passive solar applications, and wind orientation. Then we "green" the house itself. This involves every component of the home, from the foundation to the roof. With the techniques and products we employe, your home will dramatically lower its utility bills, significantly reduce its environmental impact, and sharply reduce its long-term maintenance costs. We will take you through all of the options, and help you select those which fit the design, the site, your needs, and your budget.

PHILOSOPHY

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 13 Mar 2014 12:48:00 +0000

PHILOSOPHY

One of the most important goals in architecture is to create meaningful, vital and social spaces. As architects we are responsible for shaping not only a project's program, but also its larger civic role of enabling and enriching the community.

Architecture is not about building the impossible; it is about building what makes sense for a specific program and for a particular setting. It is about allowing the specific qualities of materials and the processes of construction to inform the design. The notion we find elegant solutions that reflect the designing hand of nature.
