This is SICK! I'm pretty sure this is the first time this has been done but I've been MIA for awhile so who knows. In any case...Renowned makeup artist Mally Roncal is going to give away TWO trips to NY Fashion Week. Yes you can reread that. There are two trips to NYFW up for grabs.

One fan will have the chance to actually ASSIST Mally and her makeup team backstage at the Tracy Reese show and another fan will have the pleasure of attending the show as a guest. That's craziness, being able to assist Mally and the group at a show is the chance many people need to launch a career so this is definitely something you want to be in on.

From January 5th to January 20th aspiring makeup artists start the process by creating a video showing Mally your "amazois" makeup skills. You will need to log onto facebook.com/mallybeauty to fill out an entry form. The Mally beauty team will select the finalist on January 21st, their videos will then be uploaded onto youtube.com/mallytvproductions on January 23rd.

As a fan, all you have to do is subscribe to Mally's YouTube Channel, Mally TV Productions, and comment on any of the finalists' videos. The winning commenter will be chosen at random and win a trip to NYC and a ticket to the Tracy Reese show, the aspiring makeup artist will be selected by the Mally Beauty Team, based on makeup artistry and talent, and will be backstage at the Tracy Reese show. The winners will be notified on January 26th and announced to the world on Mally Beauty Facebook, Twitter and their YouTube channel.

Hello my beauties!! I know it's been ages since I've written, I'm so very sorry! I must admit that I completely and deeply miss interacting with all of you so I'm going to make more of an effort from now on. Please forgive me but the last quarter of 2011 was very difficult for me and my family...

Around about end of September beginning of October my husband became sick with some abdominal pains. He ended up having a pretty serious surgery, the removed a piece of his kidney and he was out of work for a few months. In the midst of that we were still trying to have a baby. So truth be told I wasn't in the beauty mind set. Hormone treatments and a sick husband will do that to you. It was completely draining.

Thankfully we ended the year with more blessings than we could have imagined. My husband bounced back and is better than ever and I couldn't be more thankful for that. It was pretty scary for awhile there. To add to that phenomenal news, after five years of actively trying and more heartache then I'd ever wish for anyone, we are finally pregnant!! I'm already in my second trimester (thank you Lord!) and so far going strong. I've been really sick though and we've had some bumps in the road here and there, but at every appointment we are greeted with a very wiggly being and the breathtaking sound of a heartbeat. It has been such an amazing blessing. If it wasn't for my expanding waist line I'd hardly believe it.

After months of being in a creative funk I've finally gotten this radient glow so I've been intoxicated with all the new products being launched this year. So expect the usual beauty updates and I'm sure there will be a ridiculous helping of pregnancy related posts as well. So this should be interesting, are you ready for the ride?

Have you ever noticed how much you do with your hands? I'm sitting at my desk and I can feel them dry up by the minute. All day long I'm arranging papers, creating reports, typing on the computer, shaking hands and various other hand related activities. Not to mention every single you go to the bathroom and use the "company preferred" hand soap, all these daily exercises leave my hands hurting. I literally look like I've been slapping co-workers with flour...it's pretty bad. By the end of the day I try to keep my hands in my pocket. Same goes for my lips, do you know how much talking you do in an office? Looking like you've eaten an entire box of powdered donuts is not a sexy look.

I received a press sample of Votre Vu's newest addition bebe Duette. It's pretty ingenious too. It's a dual flip topped lotion lip gloss combo!

The first flip holds a Luxe Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in Framboise, a very sheer, lightly tinted balm. Ingredients include coconut, shea butter, premier pressed castor oil, and beeswax. There is even a dose of UV protection with Vitamin E for anti-aging. I personally love the just bitten look of the lip balm. Reminds me of the flushed look you get when you've been smooching with your loved one :)

The hand cream is in the second flip it says it's Almond Pie scent but to me it smells like vanilla cake batter. To get me to use something multiple times you definitely have to make it smell good and this scent makes you want to keep using the product. The lotion is absorbed quickly and leaves your hands incredibly soft. Ingredients include sunflower, grape seed and jojoba oils along with aloe and wheat proteins with UVA/UVB protection.

I love the idea of the two for one product especially one you'll desperately need. You'll never be without hand cream or lip balm. I love this product you can currently score a two pack for $39.50 on Votre Vu. Definitely check these out... I know how popular Votre Vu has been with you guys :)

I just saw these in stores and it's HK new fall line, I debating getting a couple of things because I'm really feeling that graffiti print.

Score Guerlain's Holiday Collection WAY EARLY...but Buyer Beware!

As you all know I have the self control of an Ant when sugar is spilled. SO of course I raced at the opportunity to score Guerlain's new Holiday Collection.

Right now if you head over to AHAlife you can score the products way early. I placed my order this morning for the Belle de Nuit Travel Essentials and only an hour later it was already SHIPPED with a UPS tracking number and e'rythang!

Now I will have hide this box from my husband the moment it is delivered, the game of cat and mouse will undoubtedly be beyond worth it. Included in my package will be:

From left to right: The Parrure de Nuit Pressed Powder and Blush, Two Rouge Automatique lipsticks in 169- Flirt d'un Jour (soft pink) and 170- Nued d'Armour (black red) and the stunning palette Les Ombres de Nuit.

I'm just realizing I got majorly jipped I end up paying $196 to have these packaged together and had I paid for them individually it would have come out to $161 each is priced the palette would be $59 the lipsticks $35 and the blush $67. I'm must say I'm very disappointed by this turn of events. Usually when you buy a grouping you end up paying slightly less for the products since your willing to get them all in one shot. The fact that I had to pay 35 dollars more just to have the luxury of buying them in bulk and earlier then everyone else is BS.

So buyer be aware, pay more attention to your math unlike me and you'll save yourself some cash.

What's crazy is I'm so busy with this new job you'd think I'd be able to pass out no problem but the honest truth is I can't. Being the new jack my brain starts buzzing with everything I possibly forgot mistakes I made during the day that I start dwelling on after hours and everything I can't forget to do the next morning. It's hectic and I find the more familiar I am with my duties the harder it is to sleep.

I received a press sample of Purusa Dream Extract Pillow Spray, and figured I'd give it a shot. I'm a big fan of aromatherapy, anything to avoid taking more pills. Purusa is the new line from created by perfumer Sherri Sebastian this is the first spray in her new bedtime line. This spray is meant to bring inner clarity and sleep inducing calm.

It's really hard to describe this scent since I usually pass the out the moment it starts to register in my brain. It's describing as having hints of Sandalwood, organic Clary Sage and Bergamot, this scent is unique– at once clean, crisp, smooth and sensual. It's definitely very clean and reminds me of a fancy day spa. You know the ones that are so good you wait for spa week to go again :)

I use two spritz on my pillow and my husband's pillow ( and if the dog is in the bed the he's getting a spritz too!) everyone is out like a light within a half hours time. It's not a dream filled sleep but its a restful sleep. You wake up feeling very refreshed.

It's on the pricey side at $28 per 20ml bottle it's worth the price tag. The smell isn't isn't over powering and it does exactly what you need it to do. You won't be sorry....

It's official my hair straightener has finally quit me. If ya'll remember I had a sick Amika straightener that turned the mop on my head into model quality hair. It was always straight shiny and luxurious. After a little more than a year together my poor Amika has given up on me. Unfortunately it was entirely my fault, I let my poor defenseless iron fall from a flight of concrete steps. Causing a serious break in the ceramic plates, I've been told I could send it back and get a new one but honestly I just don't have the energy to go through customer service and fight for a new one. After all I don't have the original box and honestly it's just easier for me to go out and pick up a new one.

So I'm sending a shout out to my chicas to see what's your favorite flat iron? Should I stick with my beloved Amika or align myself with a new brand?

How much did you miss me lovelies??? because I missed you terribly.

As most of you guys already know I recently started a brand new job and it's been really hectic trying to get acclimated. Now that's I've found my rhythm.

well the new place is strictly business casual so I had to learn to dress for the corporate world again, and of course that meant toning down my makeup. That has been the hardest adjustment too. I'm so used to my vibrant colors. Now I' have to stick to my neutrals.

Do any of you work in offices? how do you keep your individuality with makeup while striving to maintain that professional look?

Ok Dolls, I have to go head by the copy machine and hope I don't get another paper cut. Give me some tips!!! Your advice and looks are always appreciated.

I picked up a few things from the Quite Cute collection, first up Candy Yum Yum Lipstick.

I have this intense need to own bright pink lipsticks, I think this goes back to my obsession with wanted to become a barbie doll.

now Candy Yum-Yum is this magenta pink that is pretty bright so your going to need some guts to pull this off. I personally think it's a lot of fun. The blue undertones play really well with my skin tone, and it's pretty creamy for a matte and I do love wearing it.

no comments on my lack of make up here!

At IMATS NYC, I stopped by my favorite brand and picked up some newbies while stocking up on my old favorites. Stila recently launched some sparkle eyeliners and I just had to pick the jet black called sequen.

Sequins is black liquid liner with soft amounts of glitter. It's perfect for adding that extra little oompf to your eyes. The glitter isn't overpowering at all, just subtle. I'm not a huge fan of liquid eyeliner because I'm a messy dork, but this was really easy to use. Just know the more pressure you apply the thicker the line, and please make sure you use an oil-based makeup remover otherwise your going to lose some eyelashes!

I'm surprised the Wonder Woman MAC campaign didn't take off as well as I thought it would. I was reserved myself when it came to picking out pieces. I only picked up three products.

I really love how this lipglass looks on me. It's bold without being too bright. It's a cool-toned slighty opaque fuchsia pink with a white/fuchsia shimmer. I'm a warmer skin tone and I personally think it works famously.

I have an incredible habit of scooping of Viva Glam glasses and lipsticks whenever they come out. I know I'm late on this one but I'm been using it often and totally forgot to upload my swatches. Too much going on and not enough time.

I really liked the neutral shade of Gaga's second Viva Glam launch. I picked up both the lipstick and the lip glass.

In this lip swatch I don't have a full face of makeup on, but when I do the lipstick blends almost flawlessly giving me a uniform look with a little color different on the lips. It gives me that runway look.

Yes I need to exfoliate my lips, shush. I love the color difference on the lipglass it's still neutral but it has much more zing than the lipstick. Considering the shade is a neutral light-medium beige with subtle white micro-shimmer most skin tones should be able to get away with wearing this shade.

It's finally May, Actually I shouldn't say finally since I'm really surprised it's already May. I don't know where my year has gone. June is next month and that means my birthday, and my daughters graduation. YIKES...well with the change in month comes the brand new launch of Laughter Jour at SpaceNK apothecary. I received a sample and I'm head over heels in love.

Let me explain why this is THE perfect fragrance right now. I suffer tremendously from allergies so during the spring I'm forced to shelve my perfumes going au natural. I can't even use a scented soap in the shower. I happen to really adore my perfume collection, I tend to feel incomplete if I don't wear any. Even though my nose has boycotted my sampling of new perfumes I had to try my press sample of Laughter. I'm so glad I used my Nasonex for this one :)

Laughter Jouer is super feminine, whimsical and entirely addictive and unbelievably light. Available in early May from SpaceNK, Laughter Jour (50ml) will cost about $60) and features top notes of Italian bergamot, grapefruit and green pear and gives way to violet flower, roses, lily of the valley, fresh jasmine and peonies. The scent dries down to a delicate cedarwood, soft musk and sandalwood base. The bottle is pretty simple it's a lavender glass bottle with ribbon detail, which looks good on any dresser.

Completely free from parabens, sulfates, synthetic colors and silicones, Laughter Jour is perfect for sensitive skin. It's also extremely easy on my allergies which is a huge bonus for me.

This is the third fragrance in a collection that already includes the original Laughter Eau de Toilette and Laughter Nuit. Created in 1999 by Space NK founder Nicky Kinnaird and renowned perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, Laughter has become Space NK’s best-loved scent, an iconic fragrance inspired by the uplifting citrus aromas of the Spanish Mediterranean Costa del Azahar. Laughter Nuit, introduced in fall 2010, is an enigmatic, heady and deeply mysterious scent filled with sensual spices, incense and vibrant citrus.

The complete Laughter Jour body collection will include a Bath & Shower Gel (250ml, $24) that is formulated with moisturizing oat protein, hydrating glycerin and antioxidant polyphenols from pomegranate to gently cleanse and leave skin delicately scented; A Body Lotion (250ml, $28) that is enriched with a skin-conditioning blend of candelilla, jojoba and rice bran, sweet almond oil and shea butter for smooth and radiant skin. Antioxidant polyphenols from green tea, argan extracts and B, C and E help to protect the skin from free radicals. A unique polypeptide complex helps to firm and stimulate skin renewal; and a natural cane sugar in the Body Scrub (200ml, $30) exfoliates dead skin cells and rinses away easily while moisturizing argan and sweet almond oils protect the skin from moisture loss.
