Love Beirut. For all it's cool chilling spots, beach spots, poolside spots, hangout spots and people who just get along and enjoy life. Most of this summer was spent fully indulging in the city, trying out delicious restaurants and finding cool spots to chill at. One of my favorite spots was Clé Cafe Bar that just opened up, it has a cool vibe and good food too. I loved lounging around in the sun at Lazy B, a super cool hippy style beach/pool hangout spot (in my photos above). After four trips to Beirut this summer, I think it's now time to hit up a new destination. If you haven't been to Beirut, you should def. check it out.

One and A Half In DXB

I went to Dubai at the end of February for Topshop's LFW event there and I finally go to see the city eveyrone's been talking about. Even though I was there for just one day and a half, I got the opportunity to meet and chat with our event's guest speakers which were the editor in chief of Harper's Bazaar Arabia as well as Grazia's Editor and the designer behind the stunning blazer line Lady Fozaza. It was a quickie trip but a good sneak peak at the city and the sickest discovery of all? They have surfing in Dubai, which def. gives me reason to go back there soon ;)

Double Strawberry Cupcake

Not just a strawberry cupcake, but a double strawberry cupcake! Do I really need to say anything else? I needed to bake up a batch of something for a friends bbq and this recipe turned out insanely delicious. I didn't have any cupcake holders, so I used some baking sheets cut into squares instead. It's amazing how creative you can get when you need to.

I'm not really big on blazers, not because I don't like their style but I always found it challenging to find one that fits me the way I like. But when I saw this one at Urban Outfitters from their "Classic Collection" line a while back, I couldn't resist all the tweed-ed shades of gray and it was the only one and a perfect fit! Yeah baby! Don't you love when that happens? The blistering hot weather in Kuwait has finally began to cool down so I've already started to whip out some of my fall goods.

Anyone living in Barcelona can tell you that you'll most likely meet more Brazilians there than Catalans so it was somewhat inevitable that I ended up having Brazilian friends as some of my closest there, one of which taught me one of Brazil's famous desserts, Brigadeiros! They are insanely easy to make, literally 20 minutes max and you can top them however way you wish. I used this recipe and rolled a few in icing sugar, a few in crushed flake chocolate bar and left the rest plain. Chocolatey Delicious-ness!
