We highlight we won the #1 TOP 100 BEST BUY 2012 with the VEGA Douro Red 2009 after the Wine Enthusiast experts have tasted nearly 17,000 wines present in the American market. It was the first time a Portuguese wine appeared to lead this list.

Following an unannounced audit conducted on March 26 and 27, 2026, DFJ Vinhos obtained the highest possible score in its BRCGS Certification of the Quality - grade AA+

The BRCGS certification of the Quality was issued to DFJ Vinhos on May 8, 2026, following an unannounced audit on March 26 and 27, 2026.

We were granted the grade AA+. This audit thoroughly covers the areas of quality, hygiene, and also the safety of our wines. This is a very high level of certification, which makes us very proud of the work we do daily.

It's valid until the 16th July 2027.

In general, wineries are units which work with products, wines, aimed at human consumption. Of even greater importance is the fact that each bottle of wine contains a dream waiting to come true. Thus it is essential that we should be able to guarantee to our clients, and our clients' clients, that the products developed in this winery are worthy of their trust.

This is why a growing number of wineries seek, prepare for and attain certification. This certificate testifies to the quality of the work carried out by all those involved in the day-to-day of the winery.

The BRCGS certification is, nowadays, one of the best and most widely accepted references and offers greater confidence to commercial clients. It guarantees absolute trust in the safety, quality and legality of the products they are acquiring. To obtain it firms have to demonstrate the reliability of their HACCP plan, as well as that of their control systems; environmental protection; organisational methods and human resources management. Above all they have to prove the commitment and dedication of top management to the maintenance and improvement of their System of Food Safety and Quality.

DWM organize 3 wine contests, BERLINER WINE TROPHY; ASIA WINE TROPHY and PORTUGAL WINE TROPHY. After the results it’s elected the GOLDEN LEAGUE.

In total, in the 3 wine contests we won 28 Gold and 8 Silver medals.

In harmony with nature

Mr. José Neiva Correia born and raised in the family home, among the vineyards of the single estate Quinta de Porto Franco and soon realized that the greatest and best goal is to be in harmony with nature to help the vines create the best grapes.

There’s no place for chemical products in the soils. We use organic matter only, selected according to the soil, residual water characteristics, climate, grape varieties and the wine that is intended to be produced.

All organic matter is pre-analyzed to verify that it is suitable and also to avoid heavy metals and other pollutants negative for the plants and for the environment.

The nutrition of the vines is monitored closely, without excesses or shortages being the nutrient needs of the various vines carefully measured.

We don't irrigate our 250ha of vineyards in Lisboa or Tejo wine regions.

We use mechanical processes to control weeds.

We work hard in sustainability and in result since 2018 we achieved the certification of:

PRODUÇÃO INTEGRADA (INTEGRATED CROP MANAGEMENT) - UVAS PARA VINHO (WINE GRAPES)

Carbon neutral

Quinta da Fonte Bela and Quinta de Porto Franco single estates have water treatment centres.

We use the lightest bottles and more than 90% are recycled and 100% recyclable.

Program of waste-zero. Materials such as broken glass, cartons, labels, corks, screws caps, etc. sent to certified recycling companies

Program of zero biological waste, during the harvest and other activities, sent to certified recycling companies.

We use recycled and recyclable carton.

We use almost zero plastics all recyclable.

Solar plant at Quinta da Fonte Bela to generate energy.

We adhere to UE wine sector regulations.

We follow Portuguese labor policies, without any discrimination.

We work to be Carbon Neutral by 2030.
