As most of you know, DMS International is the major contributor to The FTA Show. Soon the show will have been airing for a full year. I must say, the show have exceed all my expectations thanks to the show host and producer Mr. Richard Buckner. The show has grown to a point that we (Mr. Buckner and I) are considering doing some video. Of course the problem is that satellite time is very expensive, at least for us. So, we are asking you, the listeners, to help us make some decisions. After all, it's you who have made the show. So help us decide where it should go. Should we.....

Ramadan is coming. Why is that important to a satellite dealer? Sales always increase before and during Ramadan because of the people who celebrate Ramadan.

When is Ramadan?

Ramadan in 2008 will start on Monday, the 1st of September
and will continue for 30 days until Tuesday, the 30th of September.

Based on sight ability in North America, in 2008
Ramadan will start in North America a day later - on Tuesday, the 2nd
of September.

Note that in the Muslim calendar, a holiday begins on the
sunset of
the previous day, so observing Muslims will celebrate Ramadan on the
sunset of Sunday, the 31st of August.

Although Ramadan is always on the same day of the Islamic
calendar,
the date on the Gregorian calendar varies from year to year, since the
Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar and the Islamic calendar is a
lunar calendar. This difference means Ramadan moves in the Gregorian
calendar approximately 11 days every year. The date of Ramadan may also
vary from country to country depending on whether the moon has been
sighted or not.
