Kunal Kohli is making a new film from the house of Yash Raj with two of Bollywood's better actors, Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan. What remains to be seen is if Kunal can bring back the Magic of the pair from Hum Tum or will it also be a fad like Tararumpumpum or whatever.

Problem with bollywood now is that all the actors have grown old, and there are very few new actors.

Why else would people talk about a new Kareena and all that. I would say, in the country of the Olds, the 35 year old is the Teen, eh!

Saif did look OK in race, but his age is starting to show. After all he is not Sean Connery, and I a sure there will be some part in the new movie where he will act like some twenty nothing.

We need some new face goddamnit.. Some more Deepikas and a few more Salman of the early 90's. Now, that youngistan guy... I don't see too much future beyond the derrier and that towel...

Well, about the movie, some numerologists seem to have commented that it has a lot of 13s and might flop. Well, not for the number, if it would flop.

Rising IPL star Ishant Sharma seem to like Katrina Kaif.. I don't blame him. Katrina is such... that anyone will get bowled over.. But, Ishant forgot one thing, he forgot the Salman factor, who has shown extreme aggression when his love life gets threatened in the past, and some people learnt it the hard way :)

Ishant is 6.5 feet tall and all that Salman has those biceps :), but anyway Ishant went ahead and told Shah Rukh Khan that he wants to meet Katrina and Shah Rukh has promised to introduced the two.. Well Shah Rukh.. beware of Salman...

Anyway, Katrina has expressed that she is interested in Cricket, and not cricketers.. She knows that Salman spares none:)

Looks like Lara Dutta was teased by a mischievous poltergeist in her hotel room at Ooty, where she was shooting for Ravi Chopra's banda Yeh Bindass Hain.
She had to have her room changed because she felt the presence of ghosts in her room.

Was it her fellow stars playing pranks, was it ghosts, or was it just a clumsy voyeur, we would just have to make our guess!!

Bollywood Gossip vine has it that there is a cold war between Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee, who seem to have good on screen chemistry. This certainly lay down to rest earlier rumour that the two are having a secret affair. Hmm..

The rumour started on the sets of Kunal Kohli's Next film being shot at Bangkok, where Kareena Kapoor had joined Saif. Apparently Rani was invited to go out together, but she declined.

For all its worth, she might have been giving them some privacy, but then after the public spat between Rani and Saif during the shooting of Tara Rum Pum Pum, gossip writers love to spin stories.. and thats how things starts...

Two of the hottest couple in town, well lets just say hottest topic. Any couple with Kareena or Shahid could never be hot, however hot Saif Ali Khan or Vidya Balan might be. I can't understand why the hell Shahid and Kareena ever broke off. They were so very perfect for each other, as if they were specially made for the other.

OK, so there lots of speculations about the the two couples, how long they would last blah blah. The guys at IBN turned to the stars, and our celebrity star gazer Bejan Daruwala gave a very Astrologically correct answer that if they get through 2009, the couple may make it. Well, very astrological, specially the "If".

He then added that Shahid Vidya had a better chance.
I think they won't get through 2009. And Bejan would be right. If they did, they would be twoo old to break Off :)

Yes you heard it right. Asihwarya will be doing a new film with none other than our biggest super star Rajnikanth.

Director Shankar of ‘Shivaji: The Boss’, will be making the new movie Robot starring Ranjikanth and Aish Bachchan for a budget of Rs.1 billion. Shankar has roped in A.R. Rahman for the music. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages and will be distributed by London-based Ayingaran International.

Shankar was to cast Deepika Padukone opposite Rajnikanth in Robot, Aishwarya Rai has agrred to do the film for 1.5 crores.

Perhaps she will also learn a thing or two about Politics and pied piping from Rajnikanth. Ibn live had a news about this Bachchan Bahu and politics.

Another favorite of mine by Kishore Kumar is Hum Bewafa Hargis Na Tha.

I have the Mp3 in my ipod, but I am yet to load the mp4 video onto it.

This video is tribute to the great song. Not Kishore Himself, but someone who copies quite well.

Kishore Kumar is known for Yodleeing in his own way and adding some Gibberish in his Lyrics that rhymes so well you remember them, and start to associate it with the some, like in this song, he rendered some Tribal Like sound, like Zhingalala O Zhingalala O , urrr urrr..

I am a big Fan of Aziz Nazan Sahab in particular and , and Qawwali in general.
And so whenever there is a qawwali type in some movies, that ends up being my favorite
and other sufi ghazals as well.

The qawwali is sung by Amjad Farid Sabri.

This one in the lastest movie Halla Bol is also a very sweet rendering of a Qawaali

Irrfan Khan Match upto Hollywood Stars

Two months after the release of latest international film "Darjeeling Limited", which was shot in India, the verdict is out.

In a brief role, the fast-rising Indian actor has beaten his well-known co-stars, namely Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Adrien Brody who play brothers. While the reviews have largely panned the film and performances, Irrfan has been singled out for praise.

"There's only one performance that rings true in this shambolic odyssey. It's incidental and it's played by Irrfan Khan," wrote the London Times reviewer.

But the downsized part could be a downer for the actor's fans. The international audience which warmed up to Irrfan's scintillating performance in Mira Nair's "The Namesake" and Michael Winterbottom's "A Mighty Heart", are disappointed by the length of his role in British director Wes Anderson's "Darjeeling Limited", a comedy on brotherly bonding.

Believe it or faint, but Irrfan, who now wants to do only centralised characters, has a walk-on part.

How come?

Irrfan, currently shooting dangerous stunts for Neeraj Pandey's "Black or White", is unfazed.

"Yes, the role in 'Darjeeling Limited' is small. But it's a very decisive moment in the script and the critics have loved my work."

In fact, British critic James Christopher from the Times has singled out only Irrfan for praise in what he calls a disappointing comedy.

"Yes, that felt good," Irrfan grinned about the critical approval.[source]
