GUSTS OF CONSTRUCTION - PARTY MATCHING SYSTEM

WHAT IS THE PARTY MATCHING SYSTEM?

I’ve actually mentioned this publically several times, but it is literally [Automatic Party Making]. When I talk to Nepi (T/N: NPC name?) and put myself into queue, he will automatically match me with other players that meet the conditions and we enter the nest.

The system does not apply to existing content, but I will manage the party matched content separately. If an automatic system is used to create parties for challenging content where performance and coordination is important, there will be many problems.

The first application of this system is called “Gusts of Construction” and it is revamped content. I will go over them first, but there will be more content later.

GUSTS OF CONSTRUCTION???

The Gusts of Construction is a selection of target nests. One of Manticore, Archbishop, and Daidalos is randomly selected. This is not challenging content that players can come in and enjoy regardless of gear.

BASIC REWARDS

Actually, the basic rewards are similar to those of abyss dungeons.

Additionally, there will be an item similar to shard. If a user possesses this item, the party will recieve a buff upon entering Labyrinth, making it a little easier to farm.

It may sound a little rough, but it is content that is needed for the buff reward. I do not intend to maintain Gusts of Construction indefinitely, I just want all players to get together and enjoy it.

1 MONTH AFTER LABYRINTH

Last month was a tough month (T/N Because y’all are bad at development). Due to internal circumstances (T/N Read: Lack of proper dev and deploy processes and testing), the content and rewards were published in a bad state and I had to make a lot of patches to the live build (T/N You’re supposed to check that BEFORE pushing to prod). It was riskier than I had imagined and a lot of developers had to work hard (T/N Because y’all don’t know what you’re doing).

I have prepared data to see the status of the Labyrinth update. I do not mean to say I didn’t play Labyrinth. I want to show that the users can feel differently about the game, and that it may different from the perceived. I feel sick and am very sad when I see some people take public opinion on forums as facts.

NEST UTILIZATION RATE

This is a daily nest utilization graph from December to March.

Nest utilization rate, which has been steady month-to-month, has increased tremendously since Labyrinth (more than 2x).

Of course, it also contributed to new users due to the new content effect.

T/N Okay it just uses numbers but I’m bored

This is a graph of party sizes for nests.

The total is more than 100% because some players play in varying party sizes, which are all counted. Therefore some users are counted more than once.

The rate of solo nesting is still very high, but the users with less than 600,000 damage constitute a large portion, who prefer to solo.

Currently, those with more than 600,000 damage have a fairly high preference for party play.

I think it is much healther now than the old nest system.

Dragon Nest KR's GM Stella had posted a picture of an artwork on social media showing a girl with a proud face that is holding a shawl and with flowers around her (photo shown below).

Many have speculated it whether she has something to do with the much anticipated female warrior which was announced on february, or is lancea's new path or is it a new female class, or is it just simply a new NPC.

The Facebook post said:

Updated: Translated to the best of my understanding.

OBJECTIVES:
- I'd like players to have a way of farming more gold and further increase the gold content of the game.
- I hope to achieve a "Jackpot" factor for players who continuously grind and pay off for those who farm gold to eliminate the boring grinding feeling and gameplay.
- I wish to promote growth through players earning more money and follow their specifications.

BASIC EXPLANATION:
- Admission is through tickets dropping at low probability during events, regular dungeons, and grinding. A battle with the golden goblin takes about 2 ~ 3 minutes at most.

By entering, you may earn as much as 3000 ~ 5000 gold per run, where the amount varies depending on the level and specification.

FACTORS THAT DETERMINE GOLD ACQUISITION:
- Important factors that may affect gold acquisition during play.
50% Gold
30% Specifications (Stats/Gears)
20% Random

WHERE TO GET ADMISSION TICKETS:
- Dimensional Rabbit Stage, Nests
- Can also be purchased/exchanged with fortification jelly at a points store NPC.

Note: 1 admission ticket is also given on a daily basis where a given duration is given to prevent stacking of the tickets, so you need to use them every day.

[Q&A]

1. Is the value of gold going to fall?
In the long run, of course, the value per unit of gold may decline. But for now, we will continue to increase the number of gold recipients to maintain the value of our gold as it is today.

As it was mentioned in our meeting, the biggest problem we have right now is the way of earning gold for players as we mitigate the persistent gold exchange (for real money?).

2. Do we really need to pay, just to enter this "Lotto Castle"?
- I think it would be too much of a hassle for players if we set the dungeon to only be opened at specific times. Basically, you do not need to pay necessarily. These tickets are dropped where every dungeon that consumes fatigue, you will have a chance in getting these rare tickets, where I think will promote a positive anticipation every time you grind.

3. Is the concept of different drops for the admission tickets according to the specifications really necessary?
- think of it this way, A character that has a high specification will not reap profit from these rewards if the gold he is getting is low. Only low specification character will only benefit from these. So basically we want to make it fair for both and to promote growth with these users fairly.

4. So characters that are vulnerable to hunting will earn less gold with the same ticket?
- This is a problem that was not clearly tackled and doesn't have a solution right away. However, I tried to make it really with less of an impact. If you try to play a random box + fever gauge elements during play, you can see our efforts to reduce these influence regarding character balance.

5. You can purchase/exchange tickets with protection/fortification jelly?
- We are looking for other ways on how to use the protective jellies that have been accumulated over the years. I think this is a great way of making the value of the protective jelly more worth it. Currently, the option to purchase admission tickets using protective jelly is planned to be implemented only within a time period for a month.

6. Can we buy it at a Point store NPC (Faction Points Store)?
- In the meantime, the option for these to be purchased using the faction points store is available. Also beneficial for players that have a lot of Faction points. In the future, we are also looking for a lot of ways to make the faction points useful.

7. Is the Talisman of Abundance applied?
- It is something that should be inapplicable, but yes it is applied.

8. Why is there a time limit for the admission tickets?
- I do not want players to have a feeling of panic with these. It may be uncomfortable to use it right away, but the three-minute play is something that we need to understand.

Ranking

1. Personal Ranking

There are 2 types of personal ranking – [Number of Gold Keys collected] and [Clear Time].
Personal ranking will be calculated on weekly basis and rewards will be given out and ranking will be initialized every week (Every Saturday at 09:00am, GMT+8)
Number of Gold Keys collected – This is a ranking for the total number of Gold Keys attained for each round of Lagendia Continent Exploration cleared.
Clear Time – This is a ranking for the time taken from entering Lagendia Continent Exploration to entering the last island.
Personal ranking will be taken into account when you enter the last island (Treasure Warehouse).
The Gold Key you get when you enter the last island (Treasure Warehouse) will not be reflected in the ranking.
1st to 10th place will get rewards.

2.Guild Ranking

Guild ranking will be based on the entire duration when Lagendia Continent Exploration is open.
(Rewards will be given out for rankings calculated from when the content opens to when it closes.)
This ranking is based on the total number of Gold Keys attained by the Guild.
The amount will be taken into account when the player enters the last island (Treasure Warehouse) and when the player is in a guild, it will be reflected in the number of Gold Keys collected by the Guild.
1st to 3rd place guilds in the ranking will get rewards.
Rewards will be sent to all members of the winning guilds.

Dragon Nest SEA has an event on their 450 days after game launch and their players better get ready for a MASSIVE update coming their way... The event needs 200k shares in their Page's note and if it reaches 200k shares, the massive update will be in progress.. if you wann help... please do so in this link.

It's the dawn of a New Year and almost 450 days since we've launched the game service. Thanks to your continued support and dedication, Dragon Nest SEA is still pushing on strongly into 2013. We would like to commemorate this significant milestone by releasing an entire slew of juicy updates, fixes and changes all in one huge patch — dubbed the '450 Mark'.

But that's not all — we're going to be giving away a FREE [Skill Initialization Scroll] (7 Days) to ALL Dragon Nest SEA players (each account is only entitled to one scroll) if this Facebook Note hits200,000 shares by 14 January 2013, 2359HRS (GMT+8)!

In case the target is not reached by the deadline, fret not! You can still get your skill reset scroll by completing a series of daily in-game achievements. However, this means not everyone will get it though…

A team effort from all for all, or an individual effort from one for one? We’re leaving the choice to you.

Go combo crazy in Abyss or Stage modes and attain an SS or SSS rank for a chance to snag better prizes.

Discuss your strategies and tactics in private as a group with the Private Chat Channel.

Press ‘O’ and select the new Channel tab to begin!

Get rewarded when you join or create a guild! Rewards received will correspond to your character’s level and you can only receive it once.

Guilds also stand to benefit from this because when player who joins and stays in the guild reaches max level, the Guild will receive rewards too!

New to the game and don’t have a guild? You don’t have to play alone, not in Lagendia! The new Heroes Academy automatically pulls groups of new and guild-less players together to form a newbie-support guild.

Feel free to make friends and share information with your new guildmates! You may choose to leave the Heroes Academy at anytime. Upon reaching level 50, you will automatically “graduate” from this guild.

Are you the punching bag of the arena, constantly targeted by opponents? Chin up, because it’s payback time! With the new Revenge System in place, you can now spy your opponent’s location and HP/MP bars to execute sweet revenge!

Battling it out in the Ladder Mode now gives you Colosseum Experience Points for better rankings.

Speaking of which, the Colosseum rank symbols have also been changed. Now it’s easier to spot the differences between tiers at a glance.

New Guide Quests will be available in the Colosseum, so remember to check them out if you are level 32 and above!

Daily missions will also be randomly added in the Colosseum Mission Room. Completing these will earn you rewards!

I have to say the Dragon Nest SEA has a lot of lagging issues. So I've did some research on this issue. There are several types of LAG ,

FPS Lag /Animation Lag
Server Lag
Disconnection Lag/Connection Issues
Dungeon Lag
Random Disconnection in Game

this is just a normal lag,

but there's few suggestions to solve this :3

On the game, click [Esc]
Go to System Setting
Put Graphic Setting on LOW
Put Resolution to LOW
NEVER play in Window MODE

Probably it's a Registry Fault or a virus, use a virus scanner (Mc Afee) or Registry Booster and clean them all or kill all the viruses! (jyeah)

OR YOU CAN

Updating Graphic Drivers/ Buying a Graphic Card is a good solution to lag. Also by turning off the Skill Glow/ Animation.

Now about Animation Lag ( Screen Lag)

Some players enter a dungeon, straight away doing skills and then it freezes!

It caused by your Graphics Card. To solve this problem, you can go to Nvidia and download a good graphic cards. Direct X is good because its free and easy to install.

But there are few factors you really need to look into in order to avoid Screen Lag :

CPU (processing unit)
GPU ( renders the graphics)
RAM (holds the program resources)
Electricity

Next thing is Server Lag

Okay there's nothing much to say about this. When you never get lag but you experience it in dungeon (not town) , that means the server is lagging, not 100% but could be the case of the lag.

About Disconnection Lag/ Random Disconnection in Game

It has something to do with Connection and the Server. Check if your Network allows Dragon Nest.If isn't , its probably some sort of Virus/Connection Issues. I've DCed a lot from the game, until I had to called myself DC Queen. But it's a whole new different story after i changed my internet server.
