It was hard to get back into blogging mode after my trip to Maine. It was the best weekend I've had in the past six months - total heaven. It made me want to lead a simpler life. But instead- let's debate if this little island set would look cute in my new kitchen. Thoughts? Worth the $300?

I'm almost convinced that I'm going to buy this side table for my living room. ALMOST. I'd get it in kinky pink - even though it would be the only bright pink in my living room - but I think I'm okay with that. Thoughts? (And while I'm there I'll have to pick up that bauhaus too!)

The move in was a success - nearly. Moments after hitting the highway with a full van of stuff, it started hailing. The rain did not let up - so as we arrived, I waited on the porch with my friend Amanda and my landlord and watched it pour. In between showers we started moving in boxes - so most of my items were a little wet once they were brought inside. It ended up taking the entire weekend to get situated - but I woke up this morning and thought, I AM SO LUCKY! I absolutely love my neighborhood and my apartment. I can't wait to finish up a few more projects and post photos. Woohooo!

In my last apartment I had a really great looking bar area - which I definitely don't have the space for this time around. But since I do love a good glass of merlot now and again, this wood bar made from an ammunition case would further my motivation to make drinks, not war. Cheers to that.

Frank is the man. He designed not only buildings and residences but also their furniture, fabrics, fixtures-and even landscaping-to create a unified whole. I want these glasses from Moma (designed after the Coonley playhouse windows) for a decorative element in my new digs.
