It`s totally free, and by using it, you will be able to tell your visitor`s actions with precision, which is essential for your Adsense ads.

A free version gives you the ability to track up to 5000 visits, which is great for starter blogs.

You`ll be able to see heatmaps and areas where your visitors spend most of their time.

You can also use this software to prevent the current "click fraud frenzy" by showing the results to Google staff, in case your account gets terminated.

How to Improve your Adsense CTR

Many people think that they`ll start earning money just by putting the Adsense code onto their pages. That`s wrong.

Keep on reading to find out how you too can boost your click-through rate.

1. Match the colors of your Adsense ads with the ones of your website template. The key here is to make the ads look like a part of your web page.

2. Don`t put the ads where no one will see them, like the bottom of a web page. The ideal placement is the top left side, just under the article title.

3. Try not to use vertical formats, because the horizontal ones, like 250x250 perform quite better.

4. Here`s a neat trick to maximize your profits, and it really works: put a single small rectangle (180x150) ad format on the top left side below your article title, and blend it into the template.

- you will get the most money from a single ad because that ad will show the top advertiser who`s bidding with a top price for that search term.

Did you know that you can actually find out how much money your Adsense ads really pull, with a fair precision?

There`s a neat free tool called DigitalpointGoogle Adsense sanbox, that I want to show to you.

You just go there, and write your main site keywords in the search box, or at least the ones that have the highest density on your website.

You will get the images of the exact Ads that are shown on your website.

Now go to Overture Bid Tool and write some of the title keywords from the previous shown Adsense ads. Now you will get the results based on Overture advertisers. You can see the advertiser`s max bid on the bottom of a result.

This can show you how much money your ads pull with a fair precision. You have to take in count that Overture advertisers differ from Google Adwords advertisers, but you`ll get the point.

How to setup Adsense for your Blogger blog to increase revenue ?

When you want to set up Adsense for your Blogger blog, you go to:

your Blog control panel - Template - Adsense

Now, a very important thing to consider is not to confuse your readers with many advertisements. So, to prevent that you can use a banner Adsense format. It`s quite effective, and there will be no confusion.

The golden rule here, which I applied to many of my previous blogs is not to blend the colors into the template, rather to stand them out. I know it`s contrary to what "gurus" are teaching you, but I discovered that I get much more click-throughs by applying this simple change. You can see a clear example of this here, on Daily Adsense Tips.

The best combination I`ve found is the red title on a white background. It gets in the eyes, but does not confuse the readers to actually read your blog content.

I`ve just read an interview on CNN with Kamau Austin.

Kamau Austin,50, started an online consulting business because he had to take care of his 7 year old autistic daughter.

Two years ago, he signed up for Adsense, and now, Adsense beings him around 15% of his six figure income.

Impressive, and shows how Adsense can really bring in some big bucks, if you analyze, experiment, and of course, read this blog :)

Examples of great Adsense implementation

I`ve found a few sites with great Adsense implementation, so I would like to share them with you.

Word searches about books and literature
This is a great example of making the normal text and the ads look like they`re the same. If I didn`t know about Adsense, I`d surely click on some of the ads if I was looking for the info on Word Search.

TalkTechno.com
A great example of implementation with images. Notice how the guy uses the laptop images combining them with quality reviews and Adsense Ads.

Findory.com
Look at the top left navigation menu. Those are actually the Adsense ads.

For Adsense starters- Heat map is the way

If you are just starting with Google Adsense be sure not to put the adsense on your web pages before you look at the Adsense Heat map, that Google provides you with.

Adsense Heat map shows you the the best adsense positioning places on a web page.

It`s critical that you optimize your site for Adsense placement, because I`ve seen many newbies fall on a trick called "wow, that looks nice".

Well, even if it looks nice, that doesn`t mean you will earn money from adsense. Follow the Google heat mapand start earning bucks right away.

However, be sure not to compromise the readability of your content, ever. Content comes first, then the advertisements.

Putting the adsense code next to or below the images

One of the greatest adsense tips I`ve ever learned was to put the adsense code just below the image, or next to the image.

That way visitors will think that the links are related to the image and are more likely to click on them. Think of it as an "image description".

Make sure the images are at least theme related to the adsense links- just to avoid the consusion. Your visitor would be confused if she saw a picture of granny, and right below a link about "drug rehab".

Here`s the example of an effective "below image" adsense positioning:

NOTE: some of the adsense users are reporting that Google was sending them warnings not to put adsense next to the images. However, this issue relates to users who are pointing to the adsense with those images (like flashy arrows etc).

So, be sure not to point to the adsense links directly with the images, because it violates the rules.
