Do you remember the Lexus LFA?  It is, in my opinion, one of the best looking and sounding super cars in the world.  One of the perks in ordering a $350K+ car is the option to pick whatever color you want as the Qatari Royal Family often does with their cars.

Regardless of taste or tact, some customers pick colors that have a  love ‘em or hate ‘em vibe.  This LFA, number 250 of 500, was ordered in Celtic FC Green.  I thought I liked it at first but now I think its downright ugly!  Whether its the body color or the yellow brake calipers I’m not sure, but this is one way to effectively ruin your formerly awesome super car.  Feel free to leave your remarks about this color below.

Often times the most unconventional match ups make for the most entertaining. Top Gear’s epic comparison of a Daihatsu Materia and an Ascari A10 comes to mind immediately.

Autocar decided to go down the same route, albeit not quite as radical of a comparison as Top Gear did, and had the new BMW F10 M5 face off against the 2013 Nissan GT-R. Each car has nearly the same horsepower (552 for the M5 and 542 for the GT-R) and both are priced within $2000 of each other.

But they aren’t exactly what you’d call same class competitors. The Bimmer can seat four grown adults in refined Bavarian comfort while doing 0-62 in 4.4 seconds and won’t stop till it hits 155 mph. On the other hand, the GT-R can seat two adults in comfort and two more in backseats with space similar to underground Vietcong tunnels. Comfort aside, the more track focused GT-R sprints to 60 mph in a hard-to-comprehend 2.9 seconds and tops out at 199 mph.

Last year there was a lot of speculation that Lamborghini was moving into a new space with a SUV bearing the badge of the raging bull. Then all of that speculation was overturned when Lambo revealed that they would ditch the SUV route and give the green light to the 4-door sedan supercar they were calling the Estoque.

But apparently that wasn’t a final decision.

The picture above is a Lamborghini SUV seen in the Italian magazine Quattroroute.  For now, it’s being called the LB 736 but that’s about all we know up to this point, although it’s speculated that under the sharp hood could rest a Lambo V10 capable of 700 horsepower. And while tons of power is almost always a good thing in our book, a Lamborghini SUV isn’t quite where we’d want to see it.

It wasn’t just us, though. BMW missed their sales goals with the 5-Series GT and by a lot. It even got ranked as one of the most pointless vehicles of 2011…ok, maybe that one was just us, but we’re sure many of you agreed.

But now with BMW’s “to hell with everything that makes sense” approach to their future vehicle lineup, zee Germans have decided that it would be best to offer a GT variant of our beloved 3-Series. Yes, that’s right- a 3-Series GT.

Why? Well the obvious, three word answer is more storage space. But the truth is it’s likely just another unfortunate attempt to fill every nook and cranny of the automotive market with Bavarian vehicles. Honestly, this is the most ridiculous model offering since….well, since Saturday’s announcement of diesel M cars.

Three cheers for killing your brand!
