Flores Island has many villages where weaving is a major occupation for women. They are still weaving in the old style with handspun yarn made from local plants.

Langa Village - Ngada - Bajawa

Langa Village sits at the foot of an active volcano. The people in this village live in much the same way their ancestors did hundreds of years ago.

You will notice the many graves around the village. Their traditional beliefs worship their ancestors. To honour their ancestors and have their spirits protect them, family members are buried near the house. This traditional belief has been merged with Christianity introduced by missionaries, hence the crosses.

Kelimutu Lakes - Black And Green Colors

The kelimutu mountain is an ancient volano on Flores, (Indonesia) with on its top 3 coloured lakes, one turquoise, one colour"coca cola" and a third one (not on the photo) black. These lakes change colour during the times. Walking up there for sunrise is fabulous.

Bromo mountain or the local people called Brahma is a one of tourist place that very popular in East Java, exactly at Probolinggo Regency near Malang Regency.Bromo Mountain had a crater with the diameter ± 800 metre (north-south) and ± 600 metre (east-west). The desert is a mainstay tour at Bromo mountain, in the wild cool mountains, we could see the desert and the wide field. In this place you can enjoy to plenty of fresh air and greenery, great mountain views, waterfall, and monkeys.You can visit this area one and a half hour ride by car to Cipanas area, Puncak (West Java), but it is wise if you go there 7 AM to avoid traffic jams. Bring your own food supply since no restaurant is available inside the garden. Don't waste the sprawling green landscape, get some exercise by playing sports like shuttle cock and soccer ball. You can buy plants at a small nursery shop next to entrance gate (inside the Botanical Garden).
