"Oh no! It's monday!" Says Pookie, a cat adopted by it's family 3 years ago. Here's his story:

My family adopted this cat at the humane society about 3 years ago. There was a sign on his cage warning us that he would constantly meow and that his first owner couldn't handle the noise. He did meow a lot at first, but after a month or so he was quiet as a mouse. He looked like a tiny rat as a kitten, and has since filled out after being fed 24/7.

About Kenny:

Hi everyone! My name is Kenny.
I was found by Idaira, my mother, right after I was born and since then I have been living in a nice house with her.
We have a good relationship and since I dont have many friends here she is my best friend. Also we celebrate the birthday together because we were born the same day.
I dont like my neighbours, in particular one black cat that always try to steal my food. I used to have a good friend when I arrived here. He was an old and friendly dog. Appart from people say that cat and dogs cannot have a good relationship, we got on well with each other and used to play a lot. Unfortunately he died and since then my mom is my only friend, although i hope to meet new friends here.
I like to be inside with my mom but I always go out everyday because I like the street, I am a little wild and I also like the freedom and to be with myself.
Last year ( 2008 ) I had the worst experience of my life because I was catnap by strangers, I disappeared for around 5 months and I know my mom had a really bad time but she never lost the hope to see me again.
I escaped very soon but the reason why I was away so long it was because it took me a long time to walk back home but thanks to my sixth sense i could find my house and arrive safe.
I still remember my mom´s face, she was really happy to see me again and wondering where I had been, I wish i could say to her why I was away so long...
ok, that´s all. If you want to know more about me just ask and don´t be shy!

That's a life full of adventure: being a friend of a dog, being lost...

Meet Romeo, a very special persian:
Romeo was rescue by Persian Rescue and now he has a happy family.

My parents adopted me on December 1, 2005. But months earlier, when I came to the rescue via a shelter in Kentucky, I was completely deaf in both ears! Thanks to the wonderful vets who donate time to the Persian Rescue, I had 8 surgeries on my ears to correct the problem. I now have one ear that is folded down permanently but I think it gives me character. And it was worth it because now I can hear just fine!

Romeo is also special because of his heart mark on his back, isn't that adorable?

Now he is so thankful with his family and Persian Rescue that he made a campaign:

Meet Oz

Oz arrived in our home on Saturday morning, 20 January 2007. Earlier in the week I stopped by a local pet store to pick up some new food for our guys when I saw this orange tabby in a cage showing off to anybody and everybody who walked by. Admittedly, I was recently opposed to bringing a new cat into our home. However, Sasha was proving more and more that she was needing a playmate, and Rascal was becoming less and less interested in filling that role for her. It took about 30 seconds of playing with this guy in his cage to believe that he would be a perfect fit for the house; he was playful, very loving, and orange, fitting in with everyone else. Sasha, above left, has yet to welcome Oz with open paws, but it is obvious to us that she is very interested in him and it should only be a matter of time before she starts to roughhouse with her new brother. Rascal, above right, is content as long as the food is okay (that is dried yogurt on his nose; he is always very happy after yoggie morning).
According to the non-profit rescue group who we adopted Oz from, it was a foster home who saved the guy from being euthanized. At around eight months old, we aren't sure how long he has spent in foster homes, cages, pounds, or wherever. Although we have been keeping Oz in a spare bedroom, we have let him have the run of the house for a few hours at a time as it may be the first time in weeks or even months where he has had the opportunity to race and play. Running appears to be something he enjoys very much; he has charged tumbled, slipped, slid, and charged again over 100 times in the past 24 hours. And, he is still going strong.

More than anything, Oz loves to plop, nuzzle, nudge, and rub into us for patties, purring all the time. He seems thrilled with his new family and is already becoming very comfortable in our home. And, we're happy to have him.
