<description><![CDATA[FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. &ndash; The University of Arkansas Razorback Marching Band, complete with university cheerleaders, mascots, majorettes, twirlers and flag line, will perform its 15<sup>th</sup> annual Band Spectacular at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Barnhill Arena. The concert is free to the public and will feature University of Arkansas spirit songs and highlights from this year&rsquo;s halftime shows, such as music from the movie <em>Back to the Future</em> and &ldquo;Bohemian Rhapsody.&rdquo; In 2006, the band was awarded the Sudler Trophy, the nation's highest and most coveted award for college and university marching bands.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. &ndash; Jim Stice (B.S.C.H.E. 1949) left his industry job and began teaching at the University of Arkansas in 1954. He took a break to earn his doctoral degree and returned to teach another six years in Fayetteville. At that point, he joined the faculty at the University of Texas in Austin where he taught until retiring in 1996. In addition to teaching, Stice also directed UT&rsquo;s Center for Teaching Effectiveness. His passion for this area has resulted in a planned gift of two gift annuities totaling $50,000 to the Ralph E. Martin department of chemical engineering at the University of Arkansas to provide professors with valuable training in teaching effectiveness. <span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br />

<description><![CDATA[The Garrison Financial Institute, in partnership with the Fayetteville Public Library, is looking for volunteers between the ages of 50 and 70 to be part of a team of discussion facilitators for a new retirement investment education program. The program is made possible by a grant from the Investor Protection Trust. Facilitators should not be financial professionals, but should have good people skills and be interested in retirement investment issues. Volunteers will receive one day of training and a free 12-month subscription to <em>Kiplinger</em>&rsquo;s retirement report, a $60 value. The Garrison Financial Institute is housed in the Sam M. <description><![CDATA[The transit and parking department is open for business offering charter bus service for all university departments and sponsored groups.  The transit and parking department has two new 32-passenger buses available for excursions, transfers, tours, trips or other general use. These buses are in addition to Razorback Transit buses, which have certain federal restrictions involving charter use.  These two new buses can be chartered without federal restrictions.  If you have chartered from us before and have recently been turned down, or are a new customer, please consider us as an option for your next group activity. Charter rates are $85 an hour with a two-hour minimum.  Information on chartering can be obtained by calling our charter representative, A.J. Bellard at 575-7913.]]></description>
