Also it can control or monitor your computer's activities without your permission. How to protect our PC from be destroyed by the Spyware? I suggest following these spyware tips to prevent, detect and remove spyware before it damages your computer.

1. Use a good anti-spyware program for checking spyware. Nowadays, it has been a must to use an anti-spyware program. Once your computer is infected, it can put your privacy and personal information at risk by tracking your internet activity, stealing your passwords and credit card details, displaying annoying pop-ups, and altering important system files. To avoid such risk, you can automatically detect and remove spyware with useful anti-spyware software like Spyware Cleaner 2009 or wopti utilities. you can google spy-cleaner.com to get them.

2. Learn more about the spyware so that you can easily detect spyware's behavior. Spyware can be installed on your computer without your knowledge. Your computer's security can be at risk unless you are able to recognize, avoid and delete spyware.

3. Constantly check on the speed of your computer. A slow bandwidth can be a sign of unwanted software using your internet connection to execute harmful tasks. Make a free internet speed test to accurately measure bandwidth and works as a DSL speed test and cable modem speed test to help you find any troubleshoot and bandwidth issues. If the speed test shows that your computer's speed is sluggish, you may be hit with spyware.

4. Visit only trusted sites. Stay away from questionable sites like pornography, gambling, or hacking sites. This is an important factor to protect your PC from being infected.

5. Update your definitions as frequently as possible. Anti-spyware definitions you be updated on a daily-basis if not at least weekly. Spyware is constantly releasing new harmful files that can infect your computer at any time.

6. Remove all unwanted programs from the 'Start Up' and 'Add/Remove Application' Menus. Learn how to delete unwanted software using the "Add/Remove Programs" utility so you can periodically remove anything that may have been missed and remove anything that you do not recognize or need.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

How to Overclock - Step by Step

STEP 1: ENTER THE BIOS
Get into your system's BIOS by hitting the "Delete", "F1", or "F2" key during boot up. They key varies by motherboard, so make sure you check your documentation if you're not sure what to press. Alternately, there are instructions during boot that tell you what key to press. If you just see a big splash screen with a motherboard logo on it, hit the "Escape" key or "Tab" to reveal the instructions.

STEP 2: FIND THE RIGHT MENU
Buried in your systems BIOS is a screen that contains your CPU configuration info. It might be labeled SoftMenu, CPU, Configuration, or something else entirely different. Look for the front side bus (FS speed, or CPU to FSB ratio. Increasing the FSB speed is the most common way to overclock a CPU with a locked multiplier. On most CPU's, the default FSB will be 200MHz.

STEP 3: CRANK UP THE FSB
O.K., so you've found your FSB and you're ready to crank it up. As a general rule of thumb, you should take baby steps:
Increase your FSB speed by just 1MHz or 3MHz at a time. If you turn it up to about 5MHz...you may end up with a system that won't boot, and that's not good.

STEP 4: MAKE SURE YOUR CPU IS STILL GOOD
If your machine booted just fine, you're almost done with a successful overclock. If Windows loads and applications begin to run, you're doing even better. Try to play a few games and run a few applications and see how your computer reacts. If all works, you're ready to crank it up even more. Just go back to Step 3 and repeat the instructions until you're happy with the results, then go to STEP 6. If your machine crashes or starts to perform in an odd fashion, proceed to STEP 5.

STEP 5: IS YOUR SYSTEM ACTING UP?
If you're reading this because STEP 4 told you to, then you've gotten greedy in your overclocking attempts and now your machine won't boot. So let's see, you probably have No beeps, no Post screen, nothing. Well, all is not lost. On some mother boards, simply powering off your machine by flipping the switch on the PSU or unplugging the system will reset the FSB to stock speeds and get you back in business. If your machine is still dead, you will need to reset the CMOS. Check your motherboard manual for the exact location. The CMOS jumper is usually near the small coin-cell battery (similar to a watch battery) on your motherboard.

STEP 6: CRANK IT UP ANOTHER AGAIN
If you've successfully overclocked your system but you want even more performance, you have two options.First is to add more cooling. Better cooling greatly increases a CPU's overclocking potential. Once you have upgraded your cooling, go back to STEP 4 and begin overclocking again.

The second option is to up your CPU's core voltage. This runs your CPU harder than it was designed to go, and can help you get more MHz.
NOTE: Going more than 10% over stock voltage puts you at risk of juicing your processor and will most likely decrease the life of your chip.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

How to Make a Shutdown TImer

Step 1.
Right Click on your desktop and choose "New->Shortcut".

Step 2.
In the box that says "Type the location of the shortcut", type in "shutdown -s -t 3600" with out the quotation marks and click next.

Note: 3600 are the amount of seconds before your computer shuts down. This allows small companies and users who do not have a software or hardware firewall to be able to protect their computers. The firewall is called “Internet Connection Firewall” (ICF).

Where do I find Internet Connection Firewall settings?

Open Network Connections in the Control Panel. Right-click on your Local Area Connection and choose Properties. Click on the Advanced tab.

If you check the “Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet.” it will enable ICF.

Once you enable the Internet Connection Firewall, the Settings button will be available. Click on Settings to see the Advanced Settings for ICF. Here you can more finely tune ICF to work on your system. You can allow ports to be opened for the common services as shown in the picture. In addition, if you click Add, you can add an additional service not listed:

This is handy if you have a special or third party application that requires a certain port to be open.
By default, ICF prevents all outside traffic from the Internet unless it was expressly requested from your workstation (or one on your network if you are using Internet Connection Sharing).

If you click on the Security Logging tab on the dialog box you can set logging options if you want to know about dropped packets or anything.

The ICMP tab allows you to set options for ICMP requests.

If you are trying to PING a machine on the network and they have ICF enabled, you will not receive a reply. You must go to the ICMP tab and enable it to reply.

Internet Connection Firewall is a powerful tool but if it is configured incorrectly, a systems administrator may not be able to reach a machine with it turned on.

How to Clean Your Registry

Reg Organizer is a useful tool to clean your registry of your PC. It can scan to rid your PC of clutter and keep it running at its speediest.

What is the registry?

The Windows Registry is the place on your PC where Windows stores information it might need to retrieve later—for example, when you open an application or change a system setting. The registry contains profiles for each user, the applications installed on the computer and the types of documents they create, what hardware exists on the system, and the ports being used.

Why should I clean my registry?

Over time, the Windows Registry can begin to contain information that's no longer valid. Maybe you uninstalled an application without using the Add or Remove Programs function in the Control Panel, or perhaps an object or file in the registry got moved. Eventually this orphaned or misplaced information accumulates and begins to clog your registry, potentially slowing down your PC and causing error messages and system crashes. You might also notice that your PC's startup process is slower than it used to be. Cleaning your registry is the easiest way to help avoid these common problems.

How do I clean my registry?

Reg Organizer will find and remove any invalid registry items on your PC. It's easy-to-use. The program will check your registry and locate any items that can be removed safely. You can then choose to remove all the items the scanner finds or select items individually for removal.

Can't I just delete registry items on my own?

We don't recommend trying to remove registry items on your own. It's often difficult to determine which items correspond to which applications, and by attempting to remove items yourself, you might accidentally remove a valid registry item, causing software crashes and errors. The Reg Organizer is a safe and effective way to clean your Windows Registry.

And remember, when you want to remove a program or software application from your PC, always use the Add or Remove Programs tool in the Control Panel. Doing so ensures that any registry items associated with that application are removed safely.

See the main interface:

How To Detecting a USB drive virus/worm without opening the USB drive

Nowadays, most of the viruses/worms spread via USB drives. So, now if your USB drive is infected and if you double-click it to open it... BOOM the virus enters your drive. Unless your AntiVirus is updated till date, you don't have any means to identify whether there exists an infection in your USB drive. Even if your AntiVirus IS updated, chances are that the virus/worm is a new one and your AntiVirus doesn't have any record of it. So how do you decide whether your USB drive's infected or not without relying on your AntiVirus?? Read on...

1. Download/create/extract an icon (*.ico) file. One nice site for getting cool icons is :
www.iconspedia.com
2. Open notepad and write the following code in it :
[autorun] icon=XXX.ico
where, "XXX" is your icon file's name.

3. Save it as "autorun.inf"

4. Copy the icon (from step 1) and the autorun file (from step 2) in your USB drive (assuming it is not infected).

5. Set their attributes to ReadOnly and Hidden so that you don't accidentally delete them.

6. Disconnect and reconnect your USB and check whether the icon appears or not. If it doesn't, the icon names in the code and of the file probably don't match or you haven't saved the code as a ".inf" file.

Now, when your USB gets infected, the icon will disappear (or will be changed). This is because for the virus/worm to spread itself into the hard drive, it has to create an "autorun.inf" file. This file modifies the existing one.. thus preventing the icon and telling you about the infection. So, now instead of double-clicking to open the drive, open it by View --> Explorer bar --> Folders option in the menu after scanning it. Also make sure to put the original autorun file back in the drive.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

How To Resize Vista's System Restore

To start, a little background.

By default, Windows Vista's System Restore uses 15% of the hard drive's space or partition. For example if your drive is 230, it will use a total of ~ 35GB. However, Vista's storage is different from that of Windows XP in that it also keeps shadow copies of every file on a volume (hard drive or partition) that has system restore enabled. The good thing about this is that older shadow copies (files and/or folders) can be restored if accidentally deleted. On the minus side, it also takes up more disk space.

If you want to free up some space, other than deleting restore points, Microsoft has included some useful command line tools to do just that. vssadmin, short for Volume Shadow Copy Service Administration Tool. Without getting into the different parameters and confusing you, I'll try to keep this simple. So, here we go.

Click on the start menu button and type:

cmd, then right click on the keyword cmd and select Run as administrator. A confirmation dialog should prompt you to either Cancel or Continue. Select Continue. The command prompt box should now be visible.

To get some information, type the following in the command prompt:
vssadmin list shadowstorage and press enter. (Don't close the command prompt yet)

This will show you how much space is being allocated for system restore and shadow copies on the main drive/partition c: -- and how much has been used.

Now for the 'what were they thinking?' part. The following is about as non-intuitive as you can get. I myself have hard time grasping these parameters.

(Deep breath)
While still in the command prompt type:

vssadmin resize shadowstorage /For=C: /On=C: /MaxSize=900MB

If the command was successfully passed, you should see a confirmation -- "Successfully resized the shadow copy storage association"

What this has accomplished is that now, system restore will use a maximum of 900MB on my hard drive (reduced from 35GB). I wouldn't advise going any lower than 800MB, since room is needed for shadow copies as well. And as I mentioned, this can be very useful.

Note: You can easily increase the size by specifying the above and set the MaxSize value to something higher. It will take MB and GB sizes.

I hope this has been of some help to Vista users who may wonder why their disk space keeps shrinking. Do you know how to use it?

It’s called Remote Desktop Connection, and when you’ve properly configured your PC, this handy utility will let you log into your computer from anywhere in the world and control it as if you were sitting in front of it instead of half a world away.

If you’re running Windows XP Professional, you already have all the software you need to connect remotely to your PC. Whether you’d like to monitor a server, grab files from your home PC at work, or just keep an eye on your machines when you’re out, connecting remotely is easy to do. However, due to the vagaries of network configurations and various other quirks beyond your control, you may not be able to actually connect. Until now.

Prepping your system

First, you need to know the IP address of the computer you want to connect to. The only sure-fire way to always be able to connect to your PC’s is to use an ISP that provides you with a static IP address. Most ISPs give customers dynamic IP addresses, which can change every few days or even hours. Because your IP address is the way you’ll locate your computer on the net, you’ll need to know what your IP address is and monitor it as it changes.

The good news is that there are loads of programs that will notify you of IP address changes, whenever they occur. We like IP Address Monster (www.ipmonster.com). It’s a small program that runs in your system tray and can be configured to e-mail you whenever your IP address changes.

IP Address Monster should be your first stop to remote connectivity. This handy utility will keep tabs on your Internet address and send you an e-mail whenever it changes.

Now that you know your IP address, you need to make sure that Remote Desktop Connection is enabled. Make sure your firewall is configured to allow incoming connections on port 3389 (firewalls vary, so check your documentation to find out how to open the port).

You can turn on Remote Desktop Connection in the System Control Panel (Start, Control Panel, System). Check the Remote tab and make sure “Allow users to connect remotely to this computer” is checked. You’ll also need to have at least one user account that requires a password because accounts without passwords are prohibited from logging into Remote Desktop.

To enabling Remote Desktop, open the System Control Panel, go to the Remote tab, and check this box.

It’s important to make sure the passwords on the machine you’re going to remotely log into are “good” ones. This means you should use a mixture of letters and numbers, avoid words that are found in dictionaries, and change the password regularly to protect yourself from mischief.

Making the connection

At this point, your PC should be prepped and patiently waiting for a connection. To log in, you need to open the Remote Desktop Connection client on your remote PC. Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, Remote Desktop Connection. Input the IP address you want to connect to (courtesy of IP Address Monster) in the Computer field. Then enter your username and password.

Now you’ll want to tweak a few settings to optimize your remote experience. Whiz-bang features gobble up bandwidth, so you should tune your settings to match your home net connection. We recommend you start with a minimal feature set. Press the Options button, then the Display tab. Change the display settings to full-screen, 256-color. This looks acceptable and consumes practically no bandwidth. You’ll also want to browse to the Experience tab and change the Performance setting to reflect your home PC’s connection speed.

Switching to a lower color resolution and a smaller display area will greatly minimize the amount of data that has to transfer between your computer and the remote PC.

Once you’ve tuned the connection a bit, you’re ready to connect. Press the Connect key and you’re in!

What to do next

At this point, you should be connected. You can run programs and manipulate files just like you’re sitting in front of your PC. In fact, you can even use your PC’s e-mail and web browsers. Do you want to start downloading Desert Combat now so you can start playing it when you get home? That’s easy enough; just log into your PC using Remote Desktop, open your web browser, and download the file. It will be sitting on your machine waiting for you as soon as you get home. If all your PCs are running Windows XP Pro, and you enable drive-sharing in the Local Resources tab, you can transfer files from remote PC to local PC. You can even remotely transfer files between local PCs on your home network.

Once connected, you can interact with printer ports and networked hard drives.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

How To Get @MSN.com Email Address

There is now a free and simple way to get an @msn.com email address instead of the regular @hotmail.com email address. Open Registry Editor (Start > Run > Regedit), Navigate to String:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer.

2.) Now create a New DWORD value and name it NoDrives. All Drive will be visible as long as the value will be 0. Set the value for NoDrives according to the following list:

<col style="width: 80pt;" width="106"> <col style="width: 107pt;" width="143">

Drive

Value

A:

1

B:

2

C:

4

D:

8

E:

16

""

""

Z:

33554432

All Drive

67108863

Enter the decimal number corresponding to the drives you want to hide as the NoDrives value data. When you right click on NoDrives and choose Modify, make sure you select Decimal, not Hexadecimal.
To Hide Multiple drives, Just add the drives values. For Example: We want to hide F: and G:, then NoDrives value should be 32 + 64 = 96.

Method 2: Using The Group Policy Editor

Note:This method can be used only on Windows XP Professional Edition.

Open the Group Policy Editor Start > Run, type in “gpedit.msc” and press OK.

Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer.

Here, you’ll find “Hide these specified drives in My Computer” and “Prevent access to drives from My Computer”. The difference between the two settings is that “Prevent access” will allow the user to see the drive icon, but will give an error message when he tries to access it. “Hide”will remove the icon so the user won’t see it, but the drive can still be accessed by using Start > Run and keying in the drive letter.

Under this setting, after you click the radio button next to “Enable”, you’ll see several options. Choose the one you want to apply, for example, “Restrict A and B drives only”.

You’ll notice that the options here are restricted; you cannot, for example, choose to restrict drives A, B and D.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

Diskpart command - Hide local or virtual drives

Most of you must have wondered if there exists a way without using software to Hide A Drive completely so that it cannot be viewed or accessed without unlocking it. Well for those who have and who haven't yet, here is a easiest method on How To Hide Any Drive.
So Lets Start

01. Go To Start>Run>CmD Ok.

02. On Command Prompt. Now type "diskpart" and press Enter:

Once in Diskpart type "list volume" and press Enter:

This will list all the partitions in Your system.

Enter The Following Command

"select volume 10".
Remember to change 10 with the volume number of your partition you want to hide and press Enter:

03. Now as in my example I am hiding drive G: so my last command is "remove letter G" and then press Enter:

All done. Now open your computer and see that drive is made hidden

Now to make a drive Unhidden

Follow first 2 steps as such but in step 3 instead of remove letter G use "assign letter G"

For Vista/Windows 7

The commands becomes slightly different here:"assign letter=G"

You have successfully unlocked the Hidden Drive.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

Hidden Windows XP Tips

1 - Total Uptime

It boasts how long your computer has been running.

Click Start, then run and then type 'systeminfo'.

The computer will produce a lot of useful info, including the uptime. If you want to keep these, type 'systeminfo > info.txt'. This creates a file called info.txt you can look at later with Notepad.

2 - Delete Files Immediately

You can delete files immediately, without having them move to the Recycle Bin first. Go to the Start menu, select Run... and type 'gpedit.msc'; then select User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Explorer and find the Do not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin setting. Set it. Poking around in gpedit will reveal a great many interface and system options, but take care -- some may stop your computer behaving as you wish.

3 - Lock XP

You can lock your XP workstation with two clicks of the mouse. Create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click, and enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' in the location field. Give the shortcut a name you like. That's it -- just double click on it and your computer will be locked. And if that's not easy enough, Windows key + L will do the same.

4. Remove System Software

XP hides some system software you might want to remove, such as Windows Messenger, but you can make it show everything. Using Notepad or Edit, edit the text file /windows/inf/sysoc.inf, search for the word 'hide' and remove it. You can then go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Windows Components and there will be the software and you can now uninstall it.

5. Interesting New Commands

For those skilled in the art of DOS batch files, XP has a number of interesting new commands. These include 'eventcreate' and 'eventtriggers' for creating and watching system events, 'typeperf' for monitoring performance of various subsystems, and 'schtasks' for handling scheduled tasks. As usual, typing the command name followed by /? will give a list of options.

6. IP Version 6 Support

XP has IP version 6 support -- the next generation of IP. Unfortunately this is more than your ISP has, so you can only experiment with this on your LAN. Type 'ipv6 install' into Run... (it's OK, it won't ruin your existing network setup) and then 'ipv6 /?' at the command line to find out more. If you don't know what IPv6 is, don't worry.

7. Task Termination

You can at last get rid of tasks on the computer from the command line by using 'taskkill /pid' and the task number, or just 'tskill' and the process number. Find that out by typing 'tasklist', which will also tell you a lot about what's going on in your system.

8. ZIP Files as Folders

XP will treat Zip files like folders, which is nice if you've got a fast machine. On slower machines, you can make XP leave zip files alone by typing 'regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll' at the command line. If you change your mind later, you can change things back by typing 'regsvr32 zipfldr.dll'.

9. XP Has ClearType

XP has ClearType -- Microsoft's anti-aliasing font display technology -- but doesn't have it enabled by default. It's well worth trying, especially if you were there for DOS and all those years of staring at a screen have given you the eyes of an astigmatic bat. To enable ClearType, right click on the desktop, select Properties, Appearance, Effects, select ClearType from the second drop-down menu and enable the selection. Expect best results on laptop displays. If you want to use ClearType on the Welcome login screen as well, set the registry entry HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/Control Panel/Desktop/FontSmoothingType to 2.

10. Remote Assistance:

You can use Remote Assistance to help a friend who's using network address translation (NAT) on a home network, but not automatically. Get your pal to email you a Remote Assistance invitation and edit the file. Under the RCTICKET attribute will be a NAT IP address, like 192.168.1.10. Replace this with your friend's real IP address -- they can find this out by going to www.whatismyip.com -- and get them to make sure that they've got port 3389 open on their firewall and forwarded to the errant computer.

11. User Task Management

You can run a program as a different user without logging out and back in again. Right click the icon, select Run As... and enter the user name and password you want to use. This only applies for that run. The trick is particularly useful if you need to have administrative permissions to install a program, which many require. Note that you can have some fun by running programs multiple times on the same system as different users, but this can have unforeseen effects.

12. Disable Default Notifications

Windows XP can be very insistent about you checking for auto updates, registering a Passport, using Windows Messenger and so on. After a while, the nagging goes away, but if you feel you might go insane before that point, run Regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/Advanced and create a DWORD value called EnableBalloonTips with a value of 0.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

Become a Googlebot And Enter Restricted Websites

Ever experienced this? You ask Google to look something up; the engine returns with a number of finds, but if you try to open the ones with the most promising content, you are confronted with a registration page instead, and the stuff you were looking for will not be revealed to you unless you agree to a credit card transaction first....

The lesson you should have learned here is: Obviously Google can go where you can't.

Can we solve this problem? Yes, we can. We merely have to convince the site we want to enter, that WE ARE GOOGLE.

In fact, many sites that force users to register or even pay in order to search and use their content, leave a backdoor open for the Googlebot, because a prominent presence in Google searches is known to generate sales leads, site hits and exposure.

Examples of such sites are Windows Magazine, .Net Magazine, Nature, and many, many newspapers around the globe.

How then, can you disguise yourself as a Googlebot? Quite simple: by changing your browser's User Agent. Copy the following code segment and paste it into a fresh notepad file. Save it as Useragent.reg and merge it into your registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Googlebot/2.1"
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Googlebot/2.1"
"Compatible"="+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html"

You may always change it back again.... I know only one site that uses you User Agent to establish your eligibility to use its services, and that's the Windows Update site...

To restore the IE6 User Agent, save the following code to NormalAgent.reg and merge with your registry:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)"

In fact, many sites that force users to register or even pay in order to search and use their content, leave a backdoor open for the Googlebot, because a prominent presence in Google searches is known to generate sales leads, site hits and exposure.

Examples of such sites are Windows Magazine, .Net Magazine, Nature, and many, many newspapers around the globe.

*Old But Still Useful Tutorial

How to speed up Firefox

1. Type about:config in the address bar and then press Enter.

2. In the filter search bar type network.http.pipelining.
Be sure the value field is set true,if not double-click to set true. HTTP is the application-layer protocol that most web pages are transferred with. In HTTP 1.1, multiple requests can be sent before any responses are received. This is known as pipelining. Pipelining reduces page loading times, but not all servers support it.

3. Go back to the filter search bar and type network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Double-click this option and set its value to 8.

4. In the filter search bar and type network.http.proxy.pipelining. Once opened doubleclick on it and set it to true.

5. In IPv6-capable DNS servers, an IPv4 address may be returned when an IPv6 address is requested. It is possible for Mozilla to recover from this misinformation, but a significant delay is introduced.
Type network.dns.disableIPv6 in the filter search bar and set this option to true by double clicking on it.

6. CONTENT INTERRUPT PARSING
This preference controls if the application will interrupt parsing a page to respond to UI events. It does not exist by default. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu. Then:
A. Enter content.interrupt.parsing in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK
B. When prompted to choose the value for the new boolean, select true and click OK.

7. Rather than wait until a page has completely downloaded to display it to the user, Mozilla applications will regularly render what has been received to that point. This option controls the maximum amount of time the application will be unresponsive while rendering pages. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter content.max.tokenizing.time in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 2250000 and click OK.

8. CONTENT NOTIFY INTERVAL
This option sets the minimum amount of time to wait between reflows. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Type content.notify.interval in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.

9. CONTENT NOTIFY ONTIMER
A. This option sets if to reflow pages at an interval any higher than that specified by content.notify.interval. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu.
B. Type content.notify.ontimer in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK.
C. You will be prompted to choose the value for the new boolean. Select true and click OK.

10. Notify Backoffcount
This option controls the maximum number of times the content will do timer-based reflows. After this number has been reached, the page will only reflow once it is finished downloading. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter content.notify.backoffcount in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 5 and click OK.

11. CONTENT SWITCH THRESHOLD
You can interact with a loading page when content.interrupt.parsing is set to true. When a page is loading, the application has two modes: a high frequency interrupt mode and a low frequency interrupt mode. The first one interrupts the parser more frequently to allow for greater UI responsiveness during page load.
The low frequency interrupt mode interrupts the parser less frequently to allow for quicker page load. The application enters high frequency interrupt mode when you move the mouse or type on the keyboard and switch back to low frequency mode when you had no activity for a certain amount of time. This preference controls that amount of time. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter content.switch.threshold in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.

12. NGLAYOUT INITIALPAINT DELAY
Mozilla applications render web pages incrementally, they display what’s been received
of a page before the entire page has been downloaded. Since the start of a web page
normally doesn’t have much useful information to display, Mozilla applications will wait
a short interval before first rendering a page. This preference controls that interval. Rightclick (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
A. Enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 0 and click OK.

Create a folder named "con", "prn", "nul"

For To Do This Go Start>run>Cmd

Now we create folder on E: drive

For Create Directory

C:\>md\\.\E:\prn

C:\>md\\.\E:\con

C:\>md\\.\E:\nul

For Remove Directory

C:\>rd\\.\E:\prn

C:\>rd\\.\E:\con

C:\>rd\\.\E:\nul

Extract Part of a Movie From .RAR

Required Softwares

Winrar

Vlc Player

1. Now we need a “.rar” set of a movie (just the 1’st .rar set would suffice)

2. Now after you have extracted the “.rar” set open it with winrar

3. Now select extract to and chose the destination of the file but don’t hit the OK button just yet

4. Under the Miscellaneous tab check Keep broken files

5. Hit the Ok button and it will start extracting….now at some point it will tell you that it needs the part 2 to continue the process and since we don’t have part 2 just hit cancel and a windows with a error will appear close that one 2

Now just go to the folder in with you extracted the .rar sample and play it in your player….now the duration of the sample depends on the “size” of the hole set and varieties from 20 seconds to 2 minutes. This will not play in most players, therefore use VLC Media Player

Hide Text in your Notepad

1.)Launch the command prompt. Type in VisibleFile.txt:HiddenFile.txt in the command prompt and press Enter.

That's done and you hidden file HiddenFile.txt will not be visible under Windows Explorer or DOS. So the best time to have it automatically emptied is during boot-up. Here's how to do that:

Select Start, Run, type the command sysedit and press Enter to launch the System Configuration Editor. Once there, go to the autoexec.bat window. That batch file may contain text, or it may be blank. Either way, add these two lines:

deltree /y c:\windows\temp

md c:\windows\temp

Save the file and exit the program or click on the X to close. When asked if you want to save changes, click Yes. Next time you restart the temp files will be deleted.

From now on, you'll get an empty temp folder every time you boot.
