Dear Readers,

We’re off on vacation for a bit, seeing the sights, exploring the world, meeting colorful and exotic people with strange and interesting customs… and laughing at them while snapping dozens of pictures. You know, tourist stuff.

We’ll be back in a few weeks, fresh and rested and ready to serve up more heaping helpings of everything you never knew existed and can’t live without.

Till then, don’t do anything we wouldn’t do… but if you do, do it better.

It seems the only thing that the iPhone doesn’t do is set you apart from hundreds of thousands (and growing) of other people carrying the exact same phone. This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (the big yearly video game trade show, for non gamers) was a much lower-key occasion than in the past, depressingly lacking in the bright lights, gaudy displays, and half-naked babes of yesteryear. The World Without Us

It seems like every time we turn on the Discover Channel, all we hear about (other than sharks) is the hundred and one ways humanity might potentially be destroyed at any second (give or take a few million years).
