Happy Jubilee weekend readers! How're you celebrating this long weekend? I'm currently sporting a Jubilee scarf and plopped in front of the television watching the Queen sail up (not literally, someone's manning the boat for her) the Thames! A family friend is getting married on Tuesday too, so the next few days will be wedding mania as opposed to cracking out the Union Jack.

Week One of my internship with InStyle is going swimmingly, but the rush hour commute means that I'm super tired all the time, and taking photos or switching my laptop on is the least of my worries! This week has seen my blog enjoy a week off, albeit with an array of scheduled posts and I did get round to replying to blog comments last night while passed out on the sofa. I think next week, I'll tone things down and post when I can get round to it!

So, for those of you wanting to hear more about life as an intern... well, I'm currently drowning in doing press sample call-ins. This is where you phone PR companies on behalf of editors and request samples that fit a story brief, and these are called in to the fashion cupboard, ready to sift through and sort for featuring. We also have the 'fun' job of returns: this is the other side of call-ins, returning samples to PR companies. There are also lots of other odds and ends to do, such as dealing with emails, sending issues of the mag out to press, filing lookbooks and tracking items, as well as assisting with trend and look boards. I've had about five placements overall, and they're all very similar with varying degrees of responsibility. If you want advice, etc. please feel free to email me, internships aren't as scary as you may think!

Any BIGBANG fans out there...? Currently lovin' Monster and the video to go alongside it! I love you, baby I'm not a monster, lalala~ I'm still spending most of my spare time refreshing their Alive World Tour website, hoping their UK dates and venues are anywhere near suitable for me. Please come to London!

Finally, the three winners of my Filofax giveaway are Jackie (pink), Natasha (blue), and Rae (green). I'll be emailing you later this afternoon, so please check your email Inboxes if your name is in this list! ♥

Topshop heart cut-out shirt | Topshop trinket print bralet | REN Skincare Smooth and Renew Mask | Caudalie SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum | Kate Spade tudor city holly card holder | Essie polishes

Currently in the full swing of my spending ban, so of course I'm spending (in the other sense of the word, I promise!) my evenings trawling websites for things I wish I was buying. I'm seriously lusting after this heart cut-out shirt from Topshop, even though I already know the quality of it will be questionable at best. I love a good heart print or slightly strange cut-out, so this ticks all of the boxes except quality for me. In a similar vein, I also adore the bralet version of the shorts I posted about a week or two ago. So. Darn. Cute.

The sudden welcoming of summer has left me longing for even more skincare. After hearing Kate and Anna rave about REN skincare recently, I'm dying to get my hands on this Smoothing Renew Mask to detox my skin from the daily commutes to and from my internship. I've been sampling Caudalie's SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum, as provided in my Glossybox May, and absolutely love using it twice daily.

Oh life, why must you tease me so?!
This is what I wore to work on Wednesday. It's still unbearably humid in London, despite a brief spell of rain and clouds! Can't really decide how appropriate shorts are for work, but when you're in a fashion cupboard and running errands for the most part of a day, they'll do. Decided to pair my palm tree print Motel Rocks shorts with 'that' peach sheer shirt: I think the button up and collar keeps the shorts from veering too far into tropical tack, but regardless, I adore this print! Currently eyeing up all manner of printed shirts on ASOS as well, including this ice-cream shirt and owl-print shirt. Too adorable.

My internship is going well so far. It's pretty much what I expected, going on what I've taken on before, but I'm really enjoying being there despite the typical intern pitfalls. We're working on the September issue, so I'll leave it up to your imagination as to how busy it is! Thank you for all of the lovely comments and messages too, I'll try and keep you updated on my internship as I progress, I know a lot of people have been interested in an Intern Diary of sorts, so I might write something like that soon! ♥

Whether you're trying to keep your cool (literally) while slaving away at the office or behind a till, or for something in between, it can be hard to strike the fine balance between professionalism and practicality, while keeping your stamp of style.

These looks are all very adaptable. There are hundreds of rules across each field in the workplace, so obviously, pick and choose for inspiration at the workplace: some companies may frown against open toes, and others against nail colours, but these can easily work for everyday wear too!

Look One is quite Olivia Palermo inspired, as my biggest 'style icon', I adore the crisp clean lines, chic minimalist look and neutral tones. Swap your typical black trousers for cigarette trousers or ankle grazers, with a neutral pair of flats for something classicly chic and slightly Parisienne. I adore this heart cut-out top, in typical me style, you can easily cover up with a light knit cardigan if your workplace frowns against cut-outs, but this will look gorgeous with your newly tanned skin! Pair with the summer update of 'that' Zara shopper bag.

Louche striped top | Topshop printed trousers | River Island flower sandals | Zara mini shopper | Maria Allen wooden ampersand studs

For a more casual workplace or perhaps at a fashion internship, Look Two is easy summer chic. Wear a pair of printed cigarette trousers with a striped Breton top for a subtle take on print clash while still keeping cool, and pop a pair of Marc Jacobs inspired sandals on to complete the look. Zara have recently released a mini version of their infamous shopper bag, which is perfect for a relaxed workplace. You could also add a watch to make sure you're on time, to make a great first impression at internships.

Oasis scarf print top | H&M skirt | Le Bunny Bleu bunny flats | Marc Jacobs rose gold watch | ASOS lion head clasp bangle

I'm not sure how long their promotion is lasting for, but on my Internet boutique browse travels, I noticed that H&M are running a £2.99 offer on this skater skirt, much like the Zara one I frequently wear. If you're in the market for a skirt, grab one quick but beware of H&M's notoriously awful delivery service. For a summery feel, a black skirt (this one is knee-length!) is great for a professional and practical look. Wear with a printed silk tee that isn't revealing, with rose gold accessories and a simple pair of flats. Pop the watch and bangle on the same wrist to add interest to your arm candy.

What do you wear to work in the summer? Is your workplace strict on dress code? ♥

Back in 2009, I had my lashes permed in Hong Kong and couldn't believe how much of a difference they made. I have very typically Asian/Chinese lashes: notoriously straight and relatively short - although Asma told me mine were quite long! Proud moment! - and therefore, I've always been self-conscious of my lashes, or lack thereof.

Boudoir Lashes is the creation of Asma Docrat, and I could not recommend her services more. Asma meticulously applies each individual eyelash extension with utmost care and skill. They are applied and attached to each of your own lashes, and you can select between a choice of looks, from subtle fluttery lashes, to dramatic and full sets. I opted for something subtle and daytime appropriate, and Asma then catered for my preference while keeping in mind my glasses.

The process itself can take between half an hour for the Flutter Effect with corner lashes, to an hour and a half for the Volume Effect. You have to lie on your back with your eyes closed for the whole duration, which feels a little out-of-body but I just chatted away during the application session! It doesn't hurt, and in fact, you barely even feel Asma working away on your lashes. The lash extensions look completely seamless, and won't look like strip false lashes at all: my friends were all bemused at how my lashes suddenly grew 8mm+ overnight without looking fake!

I honestly can't sing my praises enough for Boudoir Lashes, and will definitely be returning before graduation week! I'd imagine eyelash extensions would be quite good for holidays and occasions, as you wouldn't need to worry about mascara and liner at all. They were a godsend during the warm weather as I didn't need a scrap of make-up! The aftercare is very straightforward, and I haven't had any complications other than having to stop using my beloved Shu Uemura beauty cleansing oil until they fall out, as oil-based products strip the glue down.

If you are interested in eyelash extensions, Asma at Boudoir Lashes is kindly offering Daisybutter readers 50% off their first full set of lashes. Terms and conditions apply, so check at the time of booking just to be certain, but I'd have no qualms with paying the full price for perfect lashes for the summer.
It's surprisingly nice to enjoy some sort of routine again, those ten days between being at University and today felt a little strange and unfulfilling (hello scheduled post!) other than straightening out my wardrobe to its' Sunday best and being reunited with my little library of books and slightly larger collection of bags.

(Tunic worn as top, c/o Ever Ours;
Skirt, H&M;
Mint green low wedge peep toe shoes, Urban Outfitters;
Regal plaque leather tote, Luella.)

For someone who once confessed to hating the spring and summer merely for their predictable and frankly unwearable trends, I've embraced this season's favourites with open arms! I'm still in love with this lace tunic from Ever Ours, which is hands down my favourite independent clothing boutique at the moment. A lot of readers ask me about the pieces I wear/have bought from boutiques in Hong Kong, and the collection at Ever Ours is as close as I get, aside from my beloved YesStyle! The lace panel that covers the front of the tunic is reminiscent of Marc Jacobs' creations for Louis Vuitton this season, only at a fraction of the price and much, much more wearable. I paired it with my old Chambray-esque buttonthrough skirt from H&M, as the tunic is super sheer and I thought this would add a welcome burst of colour to my outfit.

Anyway, I'm off to refuel and rest up. Don't forget, you can still enter my Filofax giveaway here, it closes on Friday 1st June, but there are three organisers up for grabs as a thank you for voting me all the way into the runner-ups of the Filofax Blogger Style-Off. ♥

Well it's been a funny ol' week. I'm absolutely loving this weather and enjoying soaking up the sun as there'll be no holidays abroad for me this year. I'm forever jealous of my brother who is off to Hong Kong in a mere few weeks! But fear not, the infamous British summer seems to have shown its' face at last. (Watch this space, it's supposed to be storm city next week...)

This week has seen me eat a whole lotta good food as ever: my brother returning home means one too many meals out, as my entire family are as enthusiastic about food as I am, coming from a line of restauranteurs. In between going out for food all the time, I've been quietly working away at Aesthetic magazine, skipping events for fear of the London underground in the heat, finishing Feast of the Gods, painting our home office and generally prepping for my upcoming internship at InStyle magazine.

Today I'm mostly going to be spending the day with Dad - it's his one day off of the week - shooting blog photos and writing up some content for next week. Not sure how to manouvre myself around 10am-6pm days but I'm sure I'll get there. I'm also really looking forward to the Accessorize Beauty collection launch on Tuesday evening, I've always wanted to go to one of those! ♥

- this week in five:

I'm running a Filofax giveaway! Win one of three organisers over here.

Today I've mostly been avoiding human contact and frolicking in the sun. As a strong ambassador for autumn, I've surprised myself by constantly waking up in a good mood because of the warm weather in England at the moment. My wardrobe is definitely not up to scratch though - look at all of this black in today's ensemble. Bought this sheer, pastel blue shirt a few months ago to wear to Zoe's Rockalily ZOMG party, and cracked it today with my Zara skirt and mix and match nails. I love wearing tops half-tucked into these skirts: the front pulled tight-ish, and the back pulled out for a flattering silhouette.

These sunglasses are my new summer staple. I don't tend to wear sunglasses as I usually forget them and have an uncanny knack of throwing them in bag, only to crack them soon after. I can be such a klutz... Romwe kindly sent these to me a couple of weeks ago and I spied them in a box when unpacking, but their cat-eye shape has meant they've quickly become a go-to, over my old faithful H&M's. Also threw on a few rings and bracelets, and my Golden Snitch necklace, because no 'Michelle' outfit would be complete without some oddball additions, eh?

Finally, I got my Glossybox June edition - their anniversary box - and it's a good one. I know there is a lot of aminosity towards the beauty sampling game, but I'm honestly yet to be very disappointed in a box. Currently in love with both Lolita Lempicka perfume samples, and this Weleda night cream!

Looking forward to a night of good ice-cream, bad TV and better Maplestory playin' tonight: it's my last weekend before throwing myself into full-time interning/working in Central London, so I'm trying to savour the freedom and slowly plan outfits for the week ahead! ♥
I styled mine with pastels: a yellow silk shirt by the Sacoor Brothers, my favourite cord-esque jeans from River Island, and my faithful mint green peeptoe wedges by Urban Outfitters, finished with a Cinderela B bracelet and my pink Domino Mix Filofax. With a little help from my Daisybutter readers, I only went and placed as a runner-up, didn't I?! Thank you so much for the support if you voted for my entry!

Thoroughly basking in the warm weather we have in England at the moment, it's quite overcast but nice and warm, if not a little humid. I realised when getting ready this morning that my wardrobe isn't prepared for warmth at all! I'm much more of an autumn dresser: I adore warm, muted colours and layering, and hardly dare to bare for the heat. How do you dress for the summer?

(Top, A boutique in Hong Kong;
Shorts, c/o Motel Rocks;
Peeptoe wedge shoes, Urban Outfitters;
Peace bracelet, c/o Mulberry;
Bunny bracelet, Dolly Bow Bow.)

Having said that, today I wore a tee that I bought in Hong Kong a few summers ago. (I miss it so much!) It has a huge bow, light grey marl and a sweet lace trim, and is probably a little girlier than my usual tailored style. Paired it with a bare neck and my new Motel shorts, which are so perfectly eccentric. I chose them at the Motel Rocks Spring blogger evening a few weeks ago and couldn't wait for them to arrive. They are the prettiest light green-blue colour with a sandy, palm tree print, and would look so nice with a bralet and sheer shirt, as they're high-waisted! Also added a charm bracelet with my usual Mulberry bracelet for something extra, and my multi-coloured nails. Because I'm five and because I'm nervous about starting my internship on Monday.

In other news, I'm all moved in and unpacked now, so you might see some normality around these parts again. My wardrobe is back to its' colour-coordinated 'finest', although I'm about to rummage through and consign most of it to charity and the other part to a blog sale. Eeep. ♥
The shopping website caters for those who want to buy in a more meaningful way, allowing members to sell clothes that they no longer want, for other members to buy and acquire. In short, it's a revamped eBay, strictly for fashion, and minus listing and selling fees and with no membership fee either.

You can swap, giveaway, sell or trade old clothing and accessories on FFUK, and there is also a great option to sell handmade wares as well as make-up and beauty products, making it an impressive little platform to start up your own little 'shop' if you desire. The website is in its' early stages, but I do think the fact that listings are free sets it apart from the likes of other online business sites, I always put off listing auctions on eBay because the fees return to pinch me afterwards!

I can see Friendly Fashion becoming a great community in the future, something quite akin to Etsy with a modern and social spin. Regardless of whether you are simply looking to revamp your wardrobe (ahem, something I still need to get round to doing!) or to sell handmade wares that you've rustled up and unsure about where to begin selling, Friendly Fashion is a perfect platform for getting the ball rolling. You can visit the site here and log in with your Facebook account - simples! ♥
I'm more than happy to forgo make-up, let that new dress go before I pay at the till, and even pass up the unnecessary tub of Haagen-Dazs, in aid of a new skincare must-have to add to my collection. I'm often asked about my skin and how I maintain it and I realised that it's been a while since I wrote a skincare routine post. I've recently fallen into a really nice regime, ready for the summer, that leaves my skin feeling soft and well-nourished.

First things first, I have Normal to Dry skin. I am extremely lucky not to suffer with breakouts, blemishes, etc. and I never have done, so if you're looking for remedies to these I probably can't help! I know the likes of Meg, Anna and Fleur are well versed in all things beauty though! Since about November or so, my skin has definitely felt a little drier than I'm used to, but I've attributed this to a change in diet and the fact that I travel a lot. Below is a photo of my skin in its' 'natural state', without any form of make-up on - eek!

Throughout this post, you can find links to the products to read more about them from the brands themselves.

Shu Uemura Beauty Cleansing Oil - Brightening. £28.
I received a sample of this in my Harrods edition Glossybox and even after one use, I knew I had to have it in my collection. I use one or two pumps, applied with my hands all over dry skin, add a little water to emulsify the product and work it into the skin to melt away my make-up. It is very clarifying, and I probably don't 'need' to follow up with another product, but I do anyway! It doesn't irritate my eyes, although it tends to give me that 'cloudy eye' for a couple of minutes, which does goes away.

Kiehl's Washable Cleansing Milk, £18.
I can't remember what my skincare regime was like before I began using this, and don't know why I'd never tried it before. I use this twice daily: once in the morning with cotton pads to soak away any dirt, oil and impurities from overnight and washing off with cold water, and then again at night, with a small amount on my fingertips, applied with tapping motions all over the face. At night I leave this product on for about ten minutes or so while I potter around, shower, etc. and then splash away with warm water. I'd recommend this if your skin tends to get quite dry or irritated, because it is very soothing and injects lots of moisture to the skin!

St Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub, £3.99.
This is a little bit of a family favourite: my Mum, sister and cousins all use this scrub and I had to hop on the bandwagon. I tend to exfoliate twice a week as my skin can be quite sensitive and I feel like I use enough products on my skin without adding a daily exfoliator in the mix! This scrub has a lovely medium thick consistency with little exfoliating beads and a non-offensive, apricot scent. It always leaves my skin feeling revitalised and freshened!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir, £9.90.
Yes, the current blogger hype product of the moment; I always wonder how many 'real' people use products that every blogger seems to own! I tend to use this between my cleanser and moisturiser at the moment, as well as to freshen up throughout the day, but I wouldn't class it as a toner at all. The scent is minty fresh but not too sharp, and I do feel that my skin reaps its' benefits throughout the day. My complexion is much more radiant and clear since using this, and I'll definitely repurchase ready for the summer!

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser, £28.
It took me a while to enjoy using this moisturiser, I'll admit. It is very heavy, therefore you only need the smallest amount to use all over the face, but it does provide enough moisture to keep my skin supple and soft all day. Not sure about the scent, it smells a little playdoh-esque but I can deal with it for now.

Lancome Absolue Yeux Eye Cream.
This eye cream was not formulated for skin of my age (I'm 21, for reference!), as it came in a gift set that my Granny received. However, I use it religiously, and it really helps with my dark circles, puffy eyes and tender skin around the eyes. As someone who has just finished eight months of late nights, early mornings, etc. of third year at University, I can fully vouch for its' working power! The only downside to this product is that it smells of rose wine, and I'd much rather it didn't! Again, a little goes a long way!

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum, £28.
Another Caudalie product that seems to be doing the rounds in the online community at the moment, I received this sample in my April Glossybox. I see serums as more of a thicker substance that is applied before moisturiser, which sinks slowly into the skin for optimum moisture, and this seems to sink into my skin almost immediately. Having said that, I do really enjoy using this serum, it smells very fresh and light and I currently apply it before my moisturiser, and it leaves my skin super soft and supple to the touch. I'll definitely be buying the full-size (three times larger than this sample) once my sample runs out!

So I'm sitting in bed, looking over this week's selection of photos, and I'm debating whether most of this even happened. It's been a funny sort of week, filled with boxes, tote bags and suitcases of my belongings, chain-eating bowls of Coco Pops in a bid to finish all of my food before I moved, blog events and a Swarovski launch. My life always seems to be in complete parallels! Nevertheless, it's been really fun and I've barely had a minute to myself. Let's just say I'm more than enjoying being home and overindulging in chocolate selection boxes and being back in my pretty bedroom.

The Swarovski launch on Thursday evening was pretty good. It was a bit of a Little Black Dress and heels event, so I felt a tad underdressed but it was lovely to catch up with Fei and Kristabel, and meet lots of other people. I even, er, bumped into Rosie from Made in Chelsea, who is just how she seems on the show... Boohoo on Friday night was really good as well! Pizza, photobooths, pick and mix and a real life Pinterest board made for a happy blogger or fifty, and it was nice to see Sarah and Aisling again!

Today I'll be sipping coffees and sifting through more boxes of my things (still haven't finished unpacking!). Trying to squeeze two bedrooms' worth of things into one just isn't happenin' here! Then I'm popping to my Granny's for our Sunday night traditions and I'll finally get to see my baby cousin again after about a month! What are you all up to this Sunday? ♥
My Benefit story began when I was 15 or so: my Mum took me for my yearly birthday - obviously yearly...! - shopping trip, and let me choose four products from the Benefit counter as part of my present. For a 16 year old, you can only imagine the excitement when presented with such adorable, quirky packaging and quality goodies inside.
Wednesday evening saw Corrie and I, along with Kia, Lauren and Jemima see Benefit's latest products being demonstrated by the head of make-up and trend artistry, Lisa, and celebrate the launch of Sunbeam, which is released on Monday! It was a very intimate affair, held at their newly opened Benefit Boutique which is situated inside Debenhams in the Bournemouth town centre.

One of the 'perks' of being a blogger is that, once in a while, you are invited to preview products to share with your loyal readers, and I can honestly say this was one of my all-time favourites. We were treated to afternoon tea at The Print Room, and chatted away about make-up, vintage ballgowns, wedding planning ideas, careers, Craig David (yep!) and, of course, blogging, over tea, scones, Victoria sponge and finger sandwiches. A bloggers' heaven? I think so.

Sunbeam is the newest addition to the Benefit collection, and is described as liquid sunshine in a bottle. It's the bronzer version of Highbeam and Moonbeam, which I also own, yet Sunbeam is my favourite of the three. I've worn it twice since receiving it on Wednesday underneath a Missha BB cream (although a light/sheer foundation is also recommended if you're not a fan) and it gives the loveliest summer glow to your skin. I use it very sparingly on the cheekbones, browbones and dotted on my forehead, for a subtle bronze shimmer underneath your base of choice, and Corrie has popped up a tutorial video using hers!

At the Sunbeam launch, I was also kindly given They're Real mascara and the Porefessional with their new packaging, as well as an It's Potent eye cream, all of which I'll be giving a proper test run now that all of my belongings are in one place again! A huge thank you to Lisa and Jasmine for having me at such a well thought out event, it was the perfect surprise and so nice to see a brand who truly understands their market. ♥

Wearing a London Fashion Week tee, Ever Ours collar necklace, Matilda Wren shirt and my trusty Warehouse jacket. Yesterday I was invited to preview some new Benefit products at the newly opened Benefit boutique in Bournemouth (hello alliteration!). I went along with Corrie and it was such a nice little evening. There were five of us, and two ladies from Benefit, so a very intimate affair full of girly chatter. They even took us to the Print Room where we had afternoon tea and talked about make-up for a few hours! Perfect.

Whether you're off for your travels in the exotic Middle East, hopping on a train away for a short City break or you're just roadtrippin' around our humble England - and why wouldn't you, with Olympic and Jubilee fever running high?! - I've 'styled' three Looks that are essentials in any holiday wardrobe.

river island dress · topshop scarf · llustre tote bag · monki sunglasses · monki rings · urban outfitters sandals

Look One is quite simple with a few bursts of coral tones. I'm certain that everyone has some form of grey marl in their wardrobe by now, especially when Topshop released their version more than a month ago. This River Island version is much more affordable, and is perfect for an easy-wearing outfit. Simply throw this on, add a scarf and coral pink sandals, and let your clothes do the talking: the beauty of dresses is that they don't need any primping and preening, no fussy tucking in or adjusting! The summer hols look wouldn't be complete without a pair of Sixties' sunglasses and a tote bag to hide tourist maps and snaffled hotel breakfast goodies!

monki jumper · topshop shorts · monki necklace · zara sandals

I'm absolutely in love with Look Two, and I'd happily wear this at home! For those off on a City break, this Look lets you whip your holiday-ready legs out, as well as cover up while in the vicinity of locals. If you click over and look at this Monki knit in more detail, you'll see it has the loveliest, slubby texture! Add a necklace for some extra detail at the neckline, and let these shorts inject personality to your outfit. I've never seen anything cuter!

topshop bralet · miss selfridge skirt · zara shoes · essie diffusion mint candy apple · topshop bag · forever 21 hat

Look Three is an outfit to pop in your beach bag, because it can be worn over bikinis and beach gear. I adore these chiffon dipped hem skirts at the moment, and they are the perfect balance between daytime and dramatic. Wear with a bright bralet and mint nails, with flat sandals and a wide brim floppy hat for post-beach dinners and cocktails. The bright bralet is perfect with light or deep tans/skintones, and will look beautiful on camera for your holiday album.

Which is your favourite Look this week? And are you jetting off this summer? Don't forget to, er, bring me back a souvenir for helping out with your packing woes! ♥

I can't wait to get back to having all of my possessions under one roof again and getting myself back into action. I'm one of "those" people who has so many things, they have to split it between rooms at the moment! I think I'll be holding a massive blog sale/eBay session this weekend as well, as I have so many clothes that I simply never touch anymore.

(Textured coral peach tunic, River Island;
Leggings, H&M;
Flatform wedges, H&M;
Jacket, H&M;
Necklace, Swarovski.)

I bought this tunic last week to wear on a night out with the Writing Fashion and Culture girls. I hardly ever go out, but when I do, I pretty much wear what I'd wear in the day with bigger hair, a touch more make-up and higher shoes! This tunic was from River Island, and is the sweetest creamsicle coral colour. It's the brightest number in my wardrobe at the moment, but I like that the colour is offsetted with a muted pastel tone and black tubing to keep it from feeling a tad... well, skin coloured! Really looking forward to wearing this with a slip dress underneath (it's a tad sheer!) and sandals, with a brighter belt for the summer, if that old English myth ever surfaces this year.

Today I've been out for lunch with one of my friends and housemates from first year (I say housemate, Heather didn't even live in our flat, she just spent a lot of time at 4A!). I seriously can't believe it's been three years since I moved away from home for the first time! Feeling very nostalgic for first year naivety, Magallen Flat Buckaroo and sambuca-laced bliss, but also more than ready to get out of the Bubble. ♥

A few to follow today: Michaela, Meg, Jennifer and Monica.

Nominate Daisybutter.com at the Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 for Best Established Fashion Blog? It would make my day!

Hello ladies and gents!

What a crazy, crazy week. It's been the most surreal week ever, and I seriously can't believe it's Sunday already. In summary, it has been emotional, fun, tiring, stressful and, subsequently, full of impulse buys, that I only feel a little guilty for. I had the best time in London on Thursday, running a few errands, getting eyelash extensions by Asma at Boudoir Lashes - which I love and cannot photograph for the life of me! - and topped off with a suitably swanky celebration for Glossybox's first anniversary.

Wednesday marked my last day as a student, and I'm moving onwards and upwards with working on Aesthetic magazine, and trying to finalise some other exciting things! In true 'Mish' form, I've treated myself to far too much good food by way of avoiding packing my room (as you can see from the first webcam photo, my room is still fully intact!). I'm loving the gorgeous weather that England has sprung on us recently too! Hello perfect lighting for product review photos!

Next week sees me attend a Benefit event with the ever lovely Corrie of Dizzybrunette3, and then move home, how crazy! Finally, I can now reveal the winner of my Cinderela B giveaway. Vicky of LadyBugSays correctly answered my question and a Liberty bracelet in Susanna, as well as a purple Boho bracelet will be making their way over to you sometime next week! What have you all been up to this week? Made any frivolous purchases to ease my imminent guilt? ♥

Nominate Daisybutter.com at the Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 for Best Established Fashion Blog? It would make my day!

- five favourite posts from this week:

Tamsin posted about a new eyeshadow palette at Little Glitter

A cinnamon French toast recipe at Smitten Kitchen, my all-time favourite food blog

Instagram cameras over at Yin&Yang

Emma made me want more Nars, over on Milkteef

... and if you didn't catch it, I blogged an outfit on Friday!

I'm a creature of habit and adore sleek, streamlined pieces with a little eclectic twist, and pieces that are classic and wearable yet with a contemporary feel. Their latest, 'High Summer' collection is a haze of colour, pastels, nudes, chiffon, texture and unmistakeable European chic, and I'm head-over-heels in love with their lookbook.

My favourites from the collection are the Brighten Up mesh shirt, Dizzy Spell print shorts, and the Little Treasure dress - perfection in a dress, if you ask me! The brand feels like an upmarket mix of Zara and Monki, with a much more refined edge and, particularly in the High Summer collection, a sophisticated, co-ordinated colour palette.

You can see and shop Three Floor Fashion's newest collection on their website, and follow their Twitter, @3_floor, for more fashion updates.

Finally getting back to wearing that crochet kimono that I frivously bought last summer. I haven't worn this in months, but I always gravitate towards it when it isn't raining. Today I'm all about the comfort, as I'm half packing my bedroom up to move home and half recupurating after spending yesterday in London with Kim (but mostly on trains or jumping across puddles like a small child) and several sleepless nights while panicking about deadline woes, which are thankfully over.

The T-shirt is something I bought at the ELLE x H&M event a few months ago, the other shirt in the set completes the word 'love' and is in possession of my sister! Standard Forever 21 shorts and tights combination, and popped on my shoe saviours of the week courtesy of Butterfly Twists. As you can imagine, I ventured out on Wednesday night with lots of girls from my course to celebrate our last day as students, and these foldable flats have pretty much lived in my bags of choice all week - so comfy. I can't quite believe how small they can fold up!

Currently on my third cup of coffee of the day and yet to open my suitcase. Wearing this in London today. Nearly time to pack up my things for home, but of course I've spent my morning watching Feast of the Gods and then on a train for almost two hours. For one of our modules, we've planned a magazine launch concept; designed, produced and written the said magazine; written a business proposal for it; and all the bits and bobs around it. The magazine was created to target young female professionals and graduates, with splices of fashion, beauty, interiors, travel and even food in there to whet your appetite, and provide some aesthetically pleasing relief to the end of a long day.

Aesthetic is the young feminine professionals’ magazine with distinctive fashion flair. Created for the educated, stylish and creative graduate, Aesthetic aims to ensure that the Aesthetic reader conquers the working world, one Louboutin-heeled step at a time. Aesthetic brings the perfect blend of beautiful clothes, luxury leathers, off-the-cuff shopping destinations, interiors and cuisine amongst much more. Fresh and quirky, classic and conventional, inspirational and accessible, opinionated and cultured, creative and ambitious: this is the modern-day female Aesthetic.

Credits go to the wonderfully talented Ella and Philippa for contributing some beautiful illustrations to the magazine, Anna for agreeing to be interviewed, and to Toni for being a willing and helpful model and stylist (in Hello London!).

A huge huge thank you to everyone that Tweeted, re-Tweeted, messaged or emailed me regarding the magazine yesterday, the feedback has been absolutely overwhelming and it has completely brightened up my week, as well as Lauren's! Yesterday, we reached a crazy 10,100 unique views of the magazine! I am currently looking into the logistics behind perhaps selling the hard copies out to those who'd like one, but keeping costs low while not making a loss is proving hard.

With regards to the 'future' of Aesthetic magazine, I have taken the decision to continue the magazine beyond University. Philippa and I are revamping the concept slightly, widening our target and aiming Aesthetic at young professionals and bloggers. Yep! Our train of thought is primarily that it provides a lovely place to showcase your creative and written work, as well as a great platform to find new blogs to indulge in. If you are interested in any shape or form for writing for the magazine or even advertising, head on over and follow the mag blog. I'll be posting vacancies and opportunities on there, and it is not limited to fashion writers either.

Again, thank you for the support, it means the world. I'm off to get ready for a well-deserved cocktail or four with the Uni girls! ♥

The Enrapture Encode Totem Styler is a heated hair appliance that features a unique, three-part wand. When my hair finally started to grow past my shoulders (a combination of completely removing hairdryers and straighteners from my routine, using Lee Stafford's hair treatment and a very short course of caffeine shampoo), I began experimenting with curling my hair a little more.

As I've previously mentioned, this Totem Styler has completely stolen my heart and pushed my Babyliss curling wand out of the boat. This styler has a nice little contraption where you can freely adjust the heat on different parts of the wand, giving you looser or tighter curls where you want them. None of that 'sleeping on your hair' or spritzing insane amounts of hairspray through your mane, no siree!

For the record, I would recommend this to people with medium to long hair. Any shorter than shoulder length and I think you'd have a real trouble with the barrel which is 25mm thick. Surprisingly, I also don't mind the flipper/clip at the base of the wand: I used to hate these, but I've finally worked out how to use them (hair n00b...) and find it helps to keep each section of curls consistent and defined.

Below are my favourite Totem combinations, which I regularly switch between on a weekly basis. I try to include the combination in my outfit posts where applicable, but here you can see my hair in more detail!

I officially finish University on the 9th May, so this week's photo diary is an obligatory mass of panic, procrastination and printing. Hola celebratory Domino's! I've been a bit all over the place this week, and am currently sitting in my bedroom, utterly refusing to pack to move home. Oh Southampton, it's a been a long three years... As you can imagine, I haven't really been lugging my camera out with me, so we have one too many Instagram snaps to gawp at today, but it's a pretty accurate insight into what my week looked like.

Seriously looking forward to a night of weekend 'talent' shows and The Only Way Is Essex tonight. I think I need a hobby or something (aside from my blog) now that I don't need to spout theories about authorship and discourse, or remember anything remotely related to contempt of court. So far I'm considering watching paint dry and knitting(!) What are your hobbies aside from blogging? Going to the gym doesn't count!

Finally, I know every British blogger under the (non-existent) sun has been talking about it this week, but the Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 are here already and it would mean the world to me if you could pop over and nominate Daisybutter.com in the Established (oo-er!) Fashion Blog category. There are hundreds of amazing blogs out there, but it'd be ever so lovely to be recognised for something that I love doing! ♥

As ever it is long overdue, but perfect timing because after months of late nights, top knots and red pen all over pieces of paper, I've finished, printed and bound all of my final year work for my degree, and sat the exam to go alongside it all. All that's left is to pop in to Uni and upload my magazine digitally so I can share it with people(!!) and I'm done. In turn, this means that you won't be subjected to my endless droning on about things that no-one cares about (my dissertation, for one - last mention, I promise!) and there'll be more regular posts on this ol' blog again! Good times all around.
Ruby ring, c/o Rock n Rose;
Mulberry Alexa.)

As a proud ambassador for Ever Ours, I got to choose a piece from their boutique to show off to my readers this month. I knew I had to have this tunic as soon as I saw it, and it was one of those pieces that you look at once, and go back again... and again... and again, to gawp at. It feels very Marc Jacobs to me, and is perfect for that Sixties' idealistic English summer look. I've decided that it'll look even prettier accompanied by a mint green boucle or blazer jacket, so that's next on my hitlist for wardrobe additions. I'm also after a collar-esque necklace to pop underneath the collar of this dress, perhaps in a navy or black, to toughen things up for an evening look. Oh the possibilities!

Before I leave (or finish getting ready...!), I just wanted to draw your attention to this month's advertisers on my blog: Emmerliejay, Ever Ours and Matilda Wren. All three are blogs and stores that I visit regularly - and I ain't just sayin' that! - so I would definitely recommend having a click around to see what you can find! I'm a huge blog/store lurker, and have found lots of gems recently in the form of new blogs! Finally, the Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 are here already: it would mean the world to me if you could pop over and nominate Daisybutter.com for the Established (oo-er!)
