Live tracks mixed, promo cd almost done…

Last tuesday we mixed the final 3 tracks for the promo cd. We wanted to combine studio recordings with live tracks, to give a very clear picture of how we play those Metallica tunes. So far, the tracklisting is as follows:

Sad But True (studio)
Ride The Lightning (studio)
Harvester Of Sorrow (live)
Welcome Home (Sanitarium) (live)
Of Wolf And Man (live)

Only thing we have to do is come up with cover art and get these fuckers pressed. We will still be handing out 10 or 20 free promo cd's every gig. So just be sure to stand in the first line and bang your head as hard as you can!

Happy 50th birthday, Jan Switters!

Jan Switters

Yesterday we went to Jan Switters’ 50th birthday party in Het Bolwerk in Sneek. Jan has recorded and mixed our latest studio recordings and the live recording of our gig in Zwaagwesteinde, in his studio, studio Landscape.

He rented Het Bolwerk so we could enjoy about 10 bands playing sets of 30 minutes. When we arrived, Hairy Johnson was playing their stoner rock, setting the mood. Later that evening Frisian punk legends (?) Strawelte played their final gig. They brought back some good memories…

We also saw Jan’s band ‘Kadaverbak’, which was insane, featuring a big black balloon which grew, grew, grew… until it popped. We laughed. A lot.

Blubber 2009 was insane! (check pics)

Last saturday, we had a gig in Steenwijk/Basse. Some people that saw us throughout the years, have mentioned the Blubber treffen in Steenwijk as a place we should play. Last year we received a phone call and it was settled.

When we arrived, we saw wat a fucking muddy shithole this was. Blubber was literally full of blubber. We arrived there and they opened the gate for us to drive our truck and car up to the back of the tent. Within five minutes of arrival we were stuck… But everyone was friendly and helped us push .

At about quarter to eleven we hit the stage, and man, the tent was filled up with people. We kicked off appropriately with ‘Motorbreath’ and followed with ‘Master of Puppets’. People were already singing along loud enough for us to hear. We really had a crazy good time on stage. Check the pics below (courtesy of FotoTH.nl, thanks man)…

Damaged Justice launches new website!

YES! It’s time. As the band gets more and more experienced, we’ve been thinking about refreshing our image. We designed a new and improved logo, which looks really great on our flyers, and we designed a new website to match the new style.

The new website runs on blog software, which makes it easier to keep you updated with everything that’s going on. Which is what we intend to do! Especially because the nice gigs are coming our way now!
