Symptom – Issue with windows activation on one machine

Cause – GUI activation error

Resolution – Performed the following tasks on elevated CMD:

-> slmgr.vbs /upk

-> slmgr.vbs /cpky

-> slmgr.vbs /ipk product_key

-> slmgr.vbs /ato

-> slmgr.vbs /dlv

Export the default app association settings from the test computer to an .xml file on a network share or USB drive:

The regedit.exe /S yourfile.reg did not work. The below allows the key to applied via CMD line in a program deployment for SCCM.

I changed command to:

REG IMPORT "yourfile.reg"

SCCM Powershell Script: How to run once off via package

Adding the following to CMD line in SCCM package allows the script to bypass the restricted issue and deploy via SCCM.

CMD: powershell.exe -executionpolicy Bypass -nologo -noninteractive -file .\Scriptname.ps1

I used these for applying a theme pack to a fleet of desktops
