I started these workshops about a year ago and it’s been a great pleasure to meet so many great photographers, and spend two days helping them learn their camera, the city of Chicago, and Photoshop. This week was no different as David B. came in all the way from Washington state. We walked in 6 degree weather, stopping when we needed to warm up. Lots of great shots, and learning some killer grunge in the post processing made it a very successful couple of days. Here’s a couple of shots I snagged this week.

Ok, the holidays are over. Portraits and cards have been delivered. That means it’s time to get into gear for spring and senior portraits! We already have a few lined up and will be setting up our new marketing campaign soon. Our new Ablan Gallery brochures just came in and they look great!

My 13th book is nearing completion - Photoshop CS4 Studio Techniques is in edit mode right now. I’ve got a slew of videos that will be up on this site as well, to go along with the book, so look for those in late Feb when the book is released (probably March). Thanks to Ben Willmore for not wanting to write the revision to this tome, and I was happy to step in.

New training for LightWave is coming very soon from 3D Garage.com, which I’ll be wrapping up in the next week or so. And then, it’s some one on one training here in Chicago, and then off to St. Louis again for more 3D training - this time, Cinema 4D!

2009 is going to be busy! Aside from photography related projects, I’m creating a slew of new training for 3D Garage.com. Crazy day yesterday - working on new 3D training for 3D Garage.com (Product Shots vol 2) - and working on the Photoshop CS4 Studio Techniques book. Then, a family shoot at 7, followed by a 15 minute break and another family shoot. All went well and I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me getting their proofing galleries online. For now, here’s two of each.
