Which "You" are people seeing?

If you don't embrace who you are...I mean who you REALLY are, then how will people ever get to know the real you?

Are you secretly an artist? A nerd? How about a hero with a super power? How about just a woman...a true beauty worthy to be pursued? Sometimes, we secretly have a passion for something but are afraid to embrace it out of a fear that we won't be very good at it, or worse, people will laugh if we try.

We want to challenge you to become a Dang Chick! Dang Chicks listen to their hearts. They take a lot, and they give a lot. They realize that life is short and also precious. They don't take tomorrow for granted, for tomorrow is promised to no one. They realize that their "woman's intuition" is really wisdom given to them from a higher power, but that without a constant connection, that intuition is meaningless.

Dang Chicks draw inspiration from and in turn inspire those people they surround themselves with. They are not afraid to look inside at the woman God created them to be. They enrich those around them by embracing who they are, and inspire others to find that same peace. They realize how much their words impact others (especially their spouse), and how far "I am proud of you" really goes with them. Dang Chicks don't fear the unknown so much as not knowing.

Leaning into the "real you" is a process rather than an event. It starts with knowing that no one is perfect, and that we all have flaws. It ends with loving who you are, warts and all, which in turn inspires those around you to do the same. It is a freeing process to "love yourself". If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to put down the mask and have the courage to trust yourself...one step at a time until you finally realize that the more you do that, the more people will feel like you trust them too.

If you can find that courage by wearing some of the items you can find at Dang Chicks, then great. Go there and find the things that will give you strength on your journey. Just remember that it's not what you wear that ultimately brings you happiness...it's the absence of the masks that we put on every morning. Either way, we want to be your biggest fan!

What is a Dang Chick?

We get asked this a lot.

We think that a dang chick is a woman who walks in a room and people take notice of her right away. She refuses to be ignored, yet doesn't have to say a word. Her confidence starts from the inside, and is magnified by the clothes, jewelry, and overall "package" that she has pulled together for whatever occasion you were fortunate enough to see her at. Her grace is only surpassed by both her beauty & poise, and she exudes an air of attraction and strength without any effort whatsoever.

Women admire Dang Chicks, and men notice them right away. Yet, she quietly "owns" the room. Controlling the tempo and pace of the party with the timing of her carefully placed steps, the occasional touch of her hand to her well-ordained neck and wrists. Her polite, yet genuine laugh ripples through the air and lights up even the darkest corner of the room. She embodies confidence.

Confidence in who she is, what she stands for, and the knowing of exactly what she wants in life. She is kind, forgiving, lovely, and gives her time and gifts freely to those that need it most. She encourages others just by being herself. Her heart goes out to other women that haven't realized how beautiful they really are, and wishes that they would just relax into their God-given gift sets so others around them could relax into theirs as well. There is no room for prejudice, no pride in anything other than loving the person she really is on the inside, and she leaves a wake of wonderment behind her wherever she goes.

At Dang Chicks, we like to think that we can help women become more confident and finally admit to themselves that hardest of all things to believe..."I am beautiful". Then, and only then will others come to that same conclusion freely when they are around her.

That, is what we think a Dang Chick is.
