And another week has passed …

Does it seem to you that every year time passes more quickly than the year before? in two days it will be monday again and low and behold the next time i check it’s already friday :o. now i wouldn’t be complaining as much if it just ment that my uni year is getting shorter by the day … it’s the assignments that have to be done by mid january is what is getting me all wired up and panicky now and again.

It’s unbelievable how uni life can take a full-time role in our lives … oki granted we are full-time students, and we get paid for it, but every time i go into the canteen all i hear from different students sitting on different tables are the words “ser niggennen” (going to go crazy), assignments and exams.

oki my ramble is over for the time being … off to lose myself in a Stargate Universe episode before i go to bed. Tomorrow we are taking the cubs to see the Verdala Palace .. one of the presidents residences. I will post on the trip tomorrow … it’s going to be my first time there

Its hard work trying to always find a silver lining in every freaking cloud and i must say i am tempting to just simply give up. As more time goes by the more i am realizing that the only person i can count on is myself and trusting people results in being hurt. and the idea that i am being used by the supposed friends seriously ticks me off. Oki maybe I am taking this out on the blog because I am in a very pissy mood today but I do hate how its changing me.

All the university work i think has finally taken it toll on me and i just cant wait for a change of scenery and in doing something i love doing for a change. mmm having had half a week off uni might be relaxing for some people but all i know is that i feel drained more than ever. Not looking forward for tomorrow -.-

oki so updating the blog once a week was a bust on the first week (blush). Its harder than i thought to change one’s routine and integrate new stuff in an already set routine.

These past 2 weeks have been full of surprises .. and not all of them gd :(. I think the biggest not wanted surprise was the lovely Web Science assignment. I cant wait to come up with an idea so as to finish that assignment off and not look at it again :P. On the upside the fuzzy logic assignment is (touch wood) going smoothly XD XD XD and last year i changed the unit coz i was terrified of the same assignment. I think i wasnt confident enough that i could do it, but this year … well i decided to grab it by the horns and get it over and done with. I just hope that once its done it works ok ;).

And as i sit here… waiting to check to see if i have a temperature (yes another lovely surprise … i am sick (sob)) I am contemplating on whether i should just go to bed …. i have a headache … of continuing my ugly betty marathon … god how i got hooked up with that series arrrrrrggggg .. its not like i have nothing to do but i am hooked :O .. season 3 episode 13 in under 2 weeks :O … and not to mention the other series i am following … Stargate Universe, Sanctuary, Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy … mm what else am i watching … mmmm. Well thank god i know how to multitask or else i would end up watching tv series and doing nothing else.

New Routine

So i decided to try and work out a routine in order to update this blog more often. I will try and target in putting up an entry a week. will see how this will work out

Every Tuesday i have cubs, where I am a leader. I can honestly say that in the 3 weeks since cubs started again, every week we get around 4 new cubs added to the pack. i think total at this point in time is 38 boys aging from 7 to 10 yrs of age. So try to imagine that lot of kids all trying to make their own pumpkin craft for Halloween … crazy and noisy does not begin to describe the atmosphere of last night’s pack meeting.

mm what else have i been up to this week .. apart from uni?

ok yes had my driving lesson this morning XD i really really want to get my license in January. I cant wait to get my own car (preferably a RAV 4 XD … blue). I am happy that i am doing well in my driving and infact i am thinking for doing the theory test so I’d get that over and done with. but need to find time to study for it -.- and time is something i really do not have at the moment. \oh well will keep you updated

Anyways off to research for an assignment.

Hectic Uni life

Wow already 2 weeks have passed from starting uni and i have soooo much work to do already!!! … Be it notes, meeting, lectures, Thesis and assignments its unbelivable how hectic uni life can be.he cub scouts

Moreover every tuesday i have the cub scouts meetings which i just love going to, but in the bigger picture it means that i loose a day’s work since i end up getting home after 9pm. I think the current assignment count is 5 or 6 i think … sooooo much work to do in a semester moreover considering that i have the thesis to work on as well.

And Uni starts Again

Ok so good news and bad news ….. the good news is that i PASSED my exam so now i can start my 4th year at uni without worrying about that pesky Java XD XD XD.

Bad news is that the summer holidays are officially over :(. Tomorrow i will start my final first semester at uni. timetables are already out and it doesn’t look that bad …. oki i finish at 5 on 3 different days, but i calculated that I have 16 hours of lectures a week … not too bad but thats not counting all the frees i have in between.

the plan for the moment is to settle down in the new routine and find out how much work will be required for every unit and then start full speed ahead on the FYP

So off to enjoy my final night of summer holidays by playing a bit of Sims 3 XD

Another week is at an end

I have said it once and i will keep saying it …. time flies really fast :O the weekend is here yet again and that means that next week i will start university again.

nothing special has happened this week … i have been lazing around a bit now that i have finished work. Today i spent a whole day upgrading my laptop from XP to windows 7 and i must say its awesome XD. I used to have a lot of trouble with Vista on the laptop and i was quite sceptic as to installing windows 7 on it … but i must say i am very surprised with the results. For one my laptop didnt explode XD and moreover all the graphic intensive stuff that always brought up a blue screen of death now work perfectly with absolutely no graphic errors at all :O … i must say i am a very happy girl at the mom XD

Anyways i am now off to the first scouter’s council meeting for this new scouting year XD … cubs will be starting up again on the 6th and i am really looking forward to seeing the boys again after summer.

FYP – Phase 1 – Still on the title

After a lot of headbanging and soul searching i have finally came up with an appropriate title to my FYP.

… Drum Roll…

Nushka

yes you read correctly Nushka. in the Jungle book and cub scout world Nushka means Guide and thats what my FYP will be all about … guilding the cubs to promote more interest in the topics that they cover in the cub scout meetings.

I also managed to write a 550 + word proposal for the thesis which i am very proud of and now i need to find a couple of hours to go to the library and research about E-Learning.

The Lost Symbol

So i fell into temptation and bought the new Dan Brown’s Book – The Lost Symbol. Now have to wait to get home in order to dive head first into the book As of yet i have not fallen into my usual habit in reading the last chapter of the book before actually starting the book .. i dont know why but i cant stand the suspense of not knowing who says alive and who dies throughout the story lol. The only books whose last chapter i dont read is the Mills and Boons series where i always know that I will get a happy ending at the end .

.. yes yes i am a sucker for romance novels and happy ending
