The foreign exchange market (forex, FX, or currency market) is another investment vehicle which is a worldwide decentralized over-the-counter financial market for the trading of currencies. Financial centers around the world function as anchors of trading between a wide range of different types of buyers and sellers around the clock, with the exception of weekends. The foreign exchange market determines the relative values of different currencies.The primary purpose of the foreign exchange market is to assist international trade and investment, by allowing businesses to convert one currency to another currency.

The foreign exchange market is unique because of

its huge trading volume, leading to high liquidity;
its geographical dispersion;
its continuous operation: 24 hours a day except weekends, i.e. trading from 20:15 GMT on Sunday until 22:00 GMT Friday;
the variety of factors that affect exchange rates;
the low margins of relative profit compared with other markets of fixed income; and
the use of leverage to enhance profit margins with respect to account size.

For new learners, it is natural to have thoughts such as W's and H's questions on what affects the exchange rates. Below are some of the major determinants of foreign exchange rates:

Economic factors
These include: (a)economic policy, disseminated by government agencies and central banks, (b)economic conditions, generally revealed through economic reports, and other economic indicators.

Economic policy comprises government fiscal policy (budget/spending practices) and monetary policies(the means by which a government's central bank influences the supply and "cost" of money, which is reflected by the level of interest rates).
Government budget deficits or surpluses: The market usually reacts negatively to widening government budget deficits, and positively to narrowing budget deficits. The impact is reflected in the value of a country's currency.
Balance of trade levels and trends: The trade flow between countries illustrates the demand for goods and services, which in turn indicates demand for a country's currency to conduct trade. Surpluses and deficits in trade of goods and services reflect the competitiveness of a nation's economy. For example, trade deficits may have a negative impact on a nation's currency.
Inflation levels and trends: Typically a currency will lose value if there is a high level of inflation in the country or if inflation levels are perceived to be rising. This is because inflation erodes purchasing power, thus demand, for that particular currency. However, a currency may sometimes strengthen when inflation rises because of expectations that the central bank will raise short-term interest rates to combat rising inflation.
Economic growth and health: Reports such as GDP, employment levels, retail sales, capacity utilization and others, detail the levels of a country's economic growth and health. Generally, the more healthy and robust a country's economy, the better its currency will perform, and the more demand for it there will be.
Productivity of an economy: Increasing productivity in an economy should positively influence the value of its currency. Its effects are more prominent if the increase is in the traded sector.

Political conditions
Internal, regional, and international political conditions and events can have a profound effect on currency markets.
All exchange rates are susceptible to political instability and anticipations about the new ruling party. Political upheaval and instability can have a negative impact on a nation's economy. For example, destabilization of coalition governments in Pakistan and Thailand can negatively affect the value of their currencies. Similarly, in a country experiencing financial difficulties, the rise of a political faction that is perceived to be fiscally responsible can have the opposite effect. Also, events in one country in a region may spur positive/negative interest in a neighboring country and, in the process, affect its currency.

Market psychology
Market psychology and trader perceptions influence the foreign exchange market in a variety of ways:

Flights to quality: Unsettling international events can lead to a "flight to quality," with investors seeking a "safe haven." There will be a greater demand, thus a higher price, for currencies perceived as stronger over their relatively weaker counterparts. The U.S. dollar, Swiss franc and gold have been traditional safe havens during times of political or economic uncertainty.^[15]
Long-term trends: Currency markets often move in visible long-term trends. Although currencies do not have an annual growing season like physical commodities, business cycles do make themselves felt. Cycle analysis looks at longer-term price trends that may rise from economic or political trends.
"Buy the rumor, sell the fact": This market truism can apply to many currency situations. It is the tendency for the price of a currency to reflect the impact of a particular action before it occurs and, when the anticipated event comes to pass, react in exactly the opposite direction. This may also be referred to as a market being "oversold" or "overbought". To buy the rumor or sell the fact can also be an example of the cognitive bias known as anchoring, when investors focus too much on the relevance of outside events to currency prices.
Economic numbers: While economic numbers can certainly reflect economic policy, some reports and numbers take on a talisman-like effect: the number itself becomes important to market psychology and may have an immediate impact on short-term market moves. "What to watch" can change over time. In recent years, for example, money supply, employment, trade balance figures and inflation numbers have all taken turns in the spotlight.
Technical trading considerations: As in other markets, the accumulated price movements in a currency pair such as EUR/USD can form apparent patterns that traders may attempt to use. Many traders study price charts in order to identify such patterns.

Be careful as foreign exchange rates are not constant or moving in one direction.

So, I will teach u guys how to create an PayPal account.
Well, at first, I have this misconception, I thought that a credit card is a necessity in creating a PayPal account.

Apparently, IT IS A NO. We don't have to own a credit card for that purpose. Paypal can act as an On-Line Bank for everyone.

Here's the steps...

1. Go to paypal.com. Sign up.

2. While filling the registration, notice the picture below.

3. Many people stuck here while registering. Actually you don't have to fill in the credit card details if you don't want to. Click on the " go to my account " button at the bottom.

4. Hooray!! You are now accessible to your ONLINE BANK!!

Most PTC sites support Paypal now. So, remember to set your cashout/payout through paypal with the e-mail you used to register Paypal. Hope this post helps~~~~~

Since school re-open, I had successfully registered japanese basic I, in fact, I have actually mastered the basics since years ago. Hahaha.

but well, perhaps i should share some superb softwares for those who are interested in learning Japanese language just like the way I did.

It's actually very easy to learn a language as long as u got the right materials and references.
alright, here's it...

1. Download Human Japanese* from HERE.

Well, this is just a trial version if you never buy it.

You can actually crack it somehow if you know HOW to do it.

I won't teach it here because it's illegal.

But don't worry, if you are beginner, u will find it very user-friendly even without having the full version.
Comes with audio files. Click on a character , a word ( kotoba) , or a sentence to listen to the pronounciation. EXCELLENT SOFTWARE!

*For beginner, trial version included the hiragana (ひらがな) and katakana (カタカナ). For intermediate level, you would probably need to have full version which includes Directions, Grammar and so on...

2. Download Let's Learn Japanese - Hiragana.

This program will help you to memorise all the hiragana characters real fast!
Keep on going trial and error, and eventually you will get it.

3. Download Let's Learn Japanese - Katakana.

Same as the above software.

IT'S HOLIDAY ~~~~~~~

Yesterday, I went Malacca with friends~~

Disgested 2 movies in a row! kao!

1stly, "A Christmas Carol"..NICE ANNIMATION!! The graphics was AWESOME!! Since I never watched the ads before, so I never knew that it was animation . At first, becoz of the graphic effect, i thought that it was a real actor movie, nice 1^^
Two thumbs up! ^^
well, I don't want to give spoilers to those who haven't watched it yet~~ so, go watch it for yourself~

NEXT!! THE CLIMAX!!

IT'S THE "2012"!! END OF THE WORLD!
at first, i held some bad impression on this movie..BUT!!!
2012 was sooooooooo COOL PERFECT REALISTIC LOGIC ...... and so more that i could not end listing all the descriptives!!!

lol! spoilers to those who hvnt watched it--- u all can learn quite a lot of geologies knowledge~~ LOL!!

1st Day of Marketing Operation(MO)

Today went to Pasar Borong Kuala Lumpur for MO.

Surprisingly, i noticed that there were more Hokkien and Teochew subetnic as compared to Cantonese.

Oh my goodness, the fisheries were wet and stinky and smelly...

the fluid on the floor even contained the blood of the fishes..red red 1...zzzz

The water was absorbed into my shoes...omg...because i wore the clothe shoes.

my shoes and my feet were utterly smelly!! =x

u know wat...today all the PAP secretariats were like beggers...begging for money + food. LOL

i found it very silly though this technique is very effective for collecting funds. ( i hate it! ask money liao still wan food...swt...)

The journey from 1am till 10am...never sleep, and yet i just rest for awhile, approximately 1 hour whole day.

omg...i feel that my body is tired but yet my mind is so active n energetic!! become mutant d...LOL

HOHOHO....

I finally managed to clear off all my stuff in my room.

WOW!! my stuff was....gosh...unexpectedly and utterly scary!!

i thought that i could filled all my stuff in just 2 big boxes, but the reality is

---> IMPOSSIBLE...

I was lucky enough to have a Good Samaritan (a 4th year senior) who will be staying till 27th Dec ( I will have my school reopen on 20th Dec), so thanks God!

He promised me to look after my belongings and allow me to put all those that I couldn't packed, into his room^^ So nice of him^^ o(^_^)o

Alright, so now my holiday started but yet! I'm still staying up nearby UKM for the upcoming Pesta Ang Pow Secretariat's preparation. let's see how my schedule works~

My holiday starts at 14th Nov.
15th Nov to 22nd Nov, i will be staying with the committees of PAP and do all the work.
22nd Nov till 27th Nov, I will be going to my relative's house to really ENJOY my holidays~~!!
27th Nov , I will be going back home~~

Can't wait for home sweet home~~~

and yet, looking forward to go to my relative's place~~(i could enjoy all free accomodation + meals~) MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!

Too bad, I couldn't be able to visits other places as my vacation---No Genting, no Pulau Pangkor, no whatever Pulau, as well as no Mountains; and my holiday is too hectic!!

Wish that next semester break i could really enjoy an enjoyable and adventurous vacation!!

I'm dead for today! gosh...people say that "a whole new day is a whole new start", but the "new" start today is the end of my "honey"moon day . Today i have to evacuate on today, which means , I NEED TO PACK.

More over, others pack is to go home, but for me, I have to stay in this area with my Pesta Ang Pow Secretariat(PAP) for donation drive and searching for main sponsors. For that, I would have stay up till 22th November before I can move to my relative's place in Kepong.

So, now the problem is......PACKING...

New life in UKM

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

My very very very 1st semester ended d!!!

It has been 4 months that im staying in my hostel (lol...my frens call my room HOTEL instead of hoStel).

Alright, let me share my experience living in this HOTEL room with u guys...

Firstly, on the first day of registration, i screwed up everything and thus I made a 180 degree change to my life in KOLEJ UNGKU OMAR, UKM. Actually I made a promise with my ex-matric fren that I will wait for him to register together (since we can be roommate if we register together), but then i forgot!!!

Thats the worst thing happening that day. He ended up being roommate with sum1 else.

Next, after getting all my luggage outside the room i got, astonishingly, i heard VOICES from inside the room...OMG!!!!!! GHOST?! INTRUDER?! Or...??!

DAM NERVOUS THAT TIME...lol

Then, i inserted the key trying to open the door...

"TOCK!" I saw a guy inside!!!!! luckily its not GHOST...

Well, he is a KOREAN that has been transferred here under the student exchange programme with the course ENGLISH.
ngek ngek ngek... girls do u all wanna meet him??? xD

Too bad he has gone back to Korea.

aiya...i hv lost his pics..ok la..he looks good, quite handsome, eyes small small, body fitfit..quite tall oso lo...BUTTTTTTTTTT of coz im more lengzai la~~WAHAHAHA

Next, since he went back ah... IM THE ONLY OWNER OF THE TWIN ROOM!!!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA^^

After few weeks, my body started getting reddish bruises and very itchy...haiz..thats the nightmare for me... i was so so so so SOOOOOO frustrated , i went to our PK(pusat kesihatan) and the doc there said that im infected with SCABIES..a type of parasite...this notorious bug bugged me for few months ah!!!! After getting all my wardrobes and everything sterilised, thx god, i got better d...hahaha

but i think actually its not the parasite that haunted me last time, instead its the CHLORINE from the UKM SWIMMING POOL!! i found out tat everytime i went back from swimming, my body will start to get itchy .. very bad quality of water last time..but now the pool water get better d.

But now, im no more alone in the room, i keep on changing roommateSSSSSS...sad..

1stly, tat Korean guy, then 2ndly, the Engineering Faculty 4th year senior, and now, finally, the COURSEMATE of the 2nd roommate. lol... y i so suey, so many seniors wanna live with me...am i so attractive?? cute??? or they were captivated by my MANLINESS?!!! LOL!!!!

My pathethic life in my college will end tomolo...hopefully next sem will be better la ^^
