In June 2017 I had the opportunity to take a Ferrari 458 Italia for two laps around Circuit of the Americas race track in Austin, Texas. This track hosts both Formula One and Moto GP races. I was excited to enjoy such a unique experience.

The track supplied a coach that was very familliar with each curve and dip. He asked if I had any prior racing experience and was excited to find out I had raced motorcross as a kid. He said "If you trust me, we're going to have a blast." I enthusiastically agreed, and we were off to the races! Check out the video of my ride.
Circuit of the Americas
Most races are won or lost long before the opening gun. Qualifying determines grid placement and gives a distinct advantage in most motorsports. Trying to put in the best time is about being the perfect version of yourself, not passing someone else. Cutting through the pack in life and business is much the same. Being a better version of ourselves each time we step on the proverbial track keeps us focused on what WE want, not what others have.

Tucked away in the outskirts of Las Vegas, NV, is one of the world's only schools for cannabis extraction technologies. In January 2019, I took their 3 day class.

Learning never stops.  It just evolves and changes forms as we grow. If you have a hobby that you are passionate about, you're not wasting time by pursuing it. We all need stimulation. Taking your mind off the issues at hand and solving problems elsewhere can help you re-focus when you return to the task.

In the summer of 2011 my good friend Ken invited us on the adventure of a lifetime. Along with his girlfriend, he was going to take his Cirrus plane and hit as many islands in the Bahamas as he could in five days. The tourism board was having a contest to encourage private pilots to check out the islands and he wanted to enter. We were in the middle of building a house and overwhelmed with work, but knew we couldn't miss this opportunity.

It was incredible to stay on Norman's Cay, yes that one but long before Fyre Fest. Accessible only to private plane or boat, it was a true place to get away from it all. I'm extremely happy we experienced this remarkable getaway.
Bahamas Pilots Challenge
Money is just the currency we use to get the experiences we desire. When we stop focusing on just the numbers and start to instead focus on the true experiences we want to have, we manifest them quicker.

On the east side of Austin down a quiet back road sits Driveway Austin. Designed by Bill Dollahite, a professional race driver with over 35 years of world-class racing experience, this track is like taking a beautiful high speed stroll through the woods.

Choose what you want.  Most people have difficulty choosing what they want to experience in life. We tend to live in the past or the future. But right here in the now is where everything happens. On December 5, 2020, I took a beautiful Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 for three laps around Driveway Austin thanks to the terrific team at Xtreme Experiences. Nothing gets you more focused on the moment than guiding 602 horsepower around a winding road through the woods.
