Back in Italy and it’s time to start with this beautiful wedding in red. A wonderful red dress perfectly matched with golden shoes from Casadei. It was great to meet Francesca and Diego in Milan for an aperitivo one month ago and was amazing to spend an entire day with them between Brescia and Curno in the stunning location of Castello della Marigolda. I really loved the idea of having red as a style for the day and what about the beautiful Alfa Romeo they used? Everything was so Italian and so full of passion. I hope this picture will help me to share all this feelings with you.

One of the most exciting experiences as a wedding photographer is to have the chance of shooting in Sorrento, few kilometers away from the Amalfi coast. Beautiful towns like Positano and the wonderful island of Capri sorrounded me all the time,  woowww I can’t still stop thinking of that three wonderful days I spent there. Ian and Nikki are simply amazing, we met for the first time here in Sydney, we had our cocktail on Darling harbour in King street wharf and I started loving them from the beginning. I would love to use this post to thank them and all the guests and of course the stunning Relais blu that you chose as a location for the venue.

Spring in Italy is a dream and getting married in Italy is always a big emotion. I really loved this wedding, colors were great and magnolia trees were all around. They chose the beautiful Villa Gaia Gandini, few kilometers far from Milan as a location for their reception. A small river was sorrounding the villa, a little bridge was on the background. Thanks Giulia and Dario for this unforgettable day.

I’m so excited to share a few pics of this wedding with you all. I’ve been waiting for months and finally the wedding happened. From the beginning I was so happy to be Emma and James’ photographer. They decided to get married in The Royal Botanic Garden here in Sydney at the Eucalypt lawn, one of the most beautiful locations in Sydney. I was shooting and in front of me there was the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, It was like living a dream all the time, probably the best for a wedding photographer. A small ceremony, 70 guests, a lot of green, trees and beautiful flowers all around us. After the ceremony a walk in the park, a few pictures and then on our way to the MCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art, a lovely location for the reception. At that moment Anish kapoor was exhibiting in Sydney and a giant sculpture (sky mirror from 2006) was installed at the entrance. They stood there, i put my camera on a super slow shutter speed time and kept walking in order not to be in the frame. The first time Priya and Avi contacted me in Sydney I was so excited! Priya is Indian and Avi is Jewish, the idea of a mixed wedding in Sydney with such different and interesting cultures made me say yes without any doubt. We had an amazing day and the two of them were beautiful and super sweet. The day was rainy but the ceremony at Eden Gardens in North Ryde was great and a beautiful night enriched with dances at the Epping Club in Sydney turned this day in something I will never forget. Another year finished and it was just wonderful for me as a wedding photographer. Many things have happened, many stories and lots of pictures and that ‘s why I’m here to share it all with you.

The year began in a bad way, it was January and my difficult choice to leave the WPJA Wedding photojpurnalist Association has certainly left a mark on my mood. But then came the good news: Junebug Weddings decided to choose me among the many Italian photographers by adding me to its prestigious and exclusive list  and this has filled my heart with joy and pride. Some of my photographs have been selected and awarded ; the wedding in Marche of Luca and Natascia was published amongst the more significant real weddings.

I photographed weddings here in Sydney becoming a real destination wedding photographer;  from Jenny & Scott to Claudia & David and many others that I have not had time to post on my site. July arrived as did the beautiful exhibition at Spazio Oberdan, ‘Scene da matrimonio’,  my first solo show and one of the few in Italy entirely devoted to wedding photojournalism. I shot the 2013 collection of Rita Couture, a company that produces wedding dresses that I particularly love, a beautiful day where I had the freedom to express myself as a photographer.

I worked as a wedding photographer on Lake Garda, Lake Como, Salento, the Marche… then August arrived with my marriage, the one in which I was the hero with my wonderful better half’ Orly.

In September I returned to Australia and started working on my new site, the new section of my favorite weddings and opening a small shop with some fine art prints of the photos that have excited me more. I ended the year preparing my first workshop on wedding photography, the WW2013.

There are many people I would like to thank, firstly to the couples who have decided to choose me as their wedding photographer, and those who have already’ made their choice for 2013, (this year I will travel again to Italy, around Australia and also to London) without them none of this would be even thinkable. A very special thank you to everyone and now some pictures

Even as I write this post came the good news of an Honorable Mention for a photo of mine at Junebug’s Best of the Best 2012.

Un altro anno e’ terminato ed e’ stato semplicemente meraviglioso per me come fotografo di matrimonio. Tante cose sono successe, molte storie e molte fotografie ed e’ per questo che sono qui per condividere il tutto con voi.

L’anno e’ iniziato in modo triste, era gennaio e la mia scelta di abbandonare la WPJA – wedding photojournalistic association – ha di sicuro lasciato un segno nella mia personalita’. Ma poi sono arrivate le belle notizie: Junebug weddings ha deciso di scegliermi tra i tanti fotografi italiani inserendomi nella sua prestigiosa e limitatissima lista e questo mi ha riempito il cuore di gioia ed orgoglio. Alcune delle mie fotografie sono state scelte e premiate e anche il matrimonio nelle marche di Luca e Natascia e’ stato pubblicato tra i real wedding piu’ significativi.

Ho fotografato dei matrimoni qui a Sydney diventando un vero destination wedding photographer, quello di Jenny e Scott, quello di Claudia e David e molti altri altri che non ho ancora avuto il tempo di pubblicare sul mio sito. E’ arrivato poi luglio e la bellissima mostra allo spazio Oberdan scene da matrimonio, sulla fotografia di matrimonio, la mia prima mostra personale ed una delle poche interamente dedicate al fotogiornalismo di matrimonio. Ho realizzato gli scatti per la collezione 2013 di Rita couture, un azienda di abiti da sposa che adoro particolarmente, una giornata bellissima in cui ho avuto la liberta’ di potermi esprimere come fotografo.

Ho lavorato come fotografo di matrimonio sul lago di Garda, lago di Como, il Salento, le Marche, e poi e’ arrivato agosto col mio matrimonio, quello in cui ero il protagonista insieme alla mia meravigliosa dolce meta’ Orly.

A settembre sono ritornato in Australia e ho iniziato a lavorare al mio nuovo sito, alla nuova sezione dei miei matrimoni preferiti e all’apertura di un piccolo negozio online con alcune stampe fine art delle foto che piu’ mi emozionano. Ho concluso l’anno preparando il mio primo workshop sulla fotografia di matrimonio, il WW2013.

Sono tante le persone che vorrei ringraziare ed il grazie piu’ sentito va come sempre alle coppie che hanno deciso di scegliermi come loro fotografo di matrimonio, e a quelle che hanno gia’ fatto la loro scelta per il 2013, quest’anno viaggero’ ancora in Italia, qui in Australia e anche a Londra, senza di loro niente di tutto questo sarebbe minimamente pensabile. Un grazie speciale davvero a tutti e adesso qualche fotografia

Nell’ultimo anno ho ricevuto molte richieste per organizzare un workshop sulla fotografia di matrimonio per il fotografo di matrimonio, ed eccolo qui, il Wedding What 2013 il workshop di due giorni per imparare a capire cosa sia la fotografia di matrimonio. Imparerai a raccontare una storia fotografica, i materiali e le attrezzature da usare, i software che rendono il mio lavoro veloce, economicamente sostenibile e competitivo sul mercato, la postproduzione, i libri fotografici da utilizzare e come sceglierli. Saper realizzare un listino prezzi, vendere il proprio prodotto. Ottimizzare il proprio sito e fare in modo che diventi visibile al più presto, utilizzare i social network e avere visibilità. Associazioni fotografiche, italiane e straniere quali scegliere e perchè?

Al termine dei due giorni oltre ad un sacco di nozioni tecniche e segreti avrai, spero, anche la carica e la forza per iniziare oppure riniziare con un passo nuovo.

Hai deciso che è arrivato il momento di investire su di te e sul tuo essere fotografo di matrimonio e vorresti fare quel passo in più ma non sai come? Vorreti seguire un workshop di fotografia di matrimonio ma non sai esattamente quale scegliere?

Se questo è ciò che cerchi i due giorni di workshop a Milano sono ciò che fa per te. Imparerai da uno che ha commesso tanti errori e che è pronto a condividere tutto con te a raccontarti della sua esperienza, dei momenti no e del come superarli, tutto per avere un posto importante nel mercato lavorativo evitando di commettere gli stessi sbagli e risparmiando così tempo prezioso e denaro.

It was January and the email from Corinna and Cristian came to warm up the cold winter I was spendng in Milan. In a simple but full of energy way they asked me to be their wedding photographer. At the time I had another wedding in stand by and it took me two weeks before I had the chance to confirm to Corinna that I would be their photographer. I had never met this beautiful couple until July when they came to assist at the opening of my exhibition at Spazio Oberdan in Milan. In the din of that wonderful afternoon we were able to chat for a few minutes, enough to understand that it would be a wonderful wedding. We met a few days later in their fantastic loft in Milan and Corinna and Cristian started to explain to me what would happen that day and between one Campari and another I began to imagine their special day. Corinna told me about her dress made and designed by the atelier she owns, the wonderful location Jardin Vivre chosen for the event and the superb Church of San Pietro in Gemonio. Their wedding has certainly been one of the most beautiful weddings of the entire year. Thanks to Emozioneventi who organized everything in the best possible way. Their love, their energy and their desire totally involved me that day, thanks guys, I hope these pictures can tell some of the emotions of the day.

Era gennaio e la mail di Corinna e Cristian era arrivata a riscaldare il freddo inverno milanese. In modo semplice e pieno di energia mi chiedevano di essere il loro fotografo di matrimonio. Avevo in forse un altro matrimonio e sono dovute passare quasi due settimane prima di poter dire a Corinna che sarei stato il loro fotografo. Non ho mai incontrato questa bellissima coppia fino a luglio quando sono venuti ad assistere al vernissage della mia mostra allo spazio Oberdan di Milano. Nel frastuono di quel pomeriggio meraviglioso siamo riusciti a chiacchierare per pochi minuti sufficienti a capire che sarebbe stato un matrimonio meraviglioso. Ci siamo incontrati qualche giorno dopo nel loro fantastico loft sui navigli e Corinna e Cristian hanno iniziato a spiegarmi cosa sarebbe successo e tra un Campari e l’altro ho iniziato ad immaginare il loro giorno speciale. Corinna mi ha parlato del suo abito realizzato dall’atelier l’officina delle fate di cui lei è titolare, della meravigliosa location Jardin a vivre scelta per l’evento e della superba Chiesa di San Pietro a Gemonio. Tutto è stato eccelso quel giorno, di sicuro uno dei matrimoni più belli dell’intero anno. Bravissime anche le ragazze di Emozioneventi che hanno organizzato tutto nel migliore dei modi. Il loro amore, la loro energia e la loro voglia di vivere mi hanno contagiato totalmente, grazie ragazzi, spero queste foto possano un pò raccontare le emozioni di quel giorno.

Lo scorso settembre a Milano ho fotografato questo bellissimo matrimonio. Tutto e’ stato meraviglioso e la location semplicemente incantevole, la Cascina Boscaccio a pochi chilometri da Milano. Angelica e Fabio mi hanno regalato emozioni davvero forti, tanto amore e tanti tanti abbracci!!! Grazie
