I went on a run today

…on my way back I didn’t think I was going to make it. I was out of breath and my legs felt like they were going to collapse. I thought of you and ran faster. I do that a lot these days. I want to give up sometimes but i think of you and what you would say to me…I made it home.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
