I met up with Street Style Photographer YougJun Koo for a series of personal style looks down in Chinatown, New York. We had to re-schudule about three times because of all of the rain last week, but finally found a somewhat dry moment to shoot. In the photo set below, I'm wearing a relaxed fitting grey and white pinstripe APC seersucker suit paired with a Zara ethnic print t-shirt. My Capistrano full-brim paper-straw hat from Brixton and woven briefcase lend a tropical feel to the casual ensemble. I'm also sporting a classic rose gold watch from Nixon by Atrium, burgundy PS belt, Fermented Beads bracelet and Marcello loafers by Paul Smith.

Last Thursday morning I was shooting street style in Nolita when I came across this family owned shop called The Sock Hop. The boutique was established in 2010 by the Nasserbakht brothers, Vincent and Theodore with a mission of timeless quality craftsmanship over mass production. How could I disagree what that philosophy? At THS you'll find a great selection of accessories like leathers goods, suspenders, fedora hats, sunglasses and of course socks. They source from experts around the world, so you know your getting your money's worth. I was particularly impressed with the in-house custom shirt for men and woman because the shirts are cut and sewn by the family and I'm a sucker for all things bespoke. I purchased a pair of bright red suspenders and will likely be returning for a custom shirt.

Little Teddy Is Inspired By Lou

Late last night, I received an email from Tracy Murrell who runs a blog called Mommy, who are we wearing? ,where she styles her three lovely children Teddy ,Lettie and Annie in the most adorable outfits. Tracy was so inspired by my H&M Marni post that she recreated one of my looks on her little boy Teddy. How amazing is that? She even got the details down packed by changing his boot laces to red! I find it fascinating how one's personal style can be so influential. This is a clear vindication that image is everything, and you never know who you will inspire. Teddy, you are way too cool!
