Men and women have a very different way of interpreting the English language, if you haven’t guessed.
Communicating with your girlfriend can be a tough job if your not very experienced with females. It’s not like arguing with one of your guy friends. Women speak the same language as men but they hear a totally different message from us.   Here are some ways to avoid stupid fights that all men should remember.  No matter what you think your gonna be wrong so continue reading to be sure what to do and what not to do.

Don’t Argue!

Just agree with what they say without sounding like a complete phony. Make it seem like your truely sorry for what your did and tell them you will make a effort to fix this problem so it doesn’t happen again. Keep calm in these situations as well, don’t let them get to you. It might be something small but usually this means they’re mad at you for something else, something bigger. Beware of this one, failure to follow this step will land you a week of sleeping on the couch.

Pick and Choose your fights

This is a bit off topic but I think it’s important. Now I’m sure there are times when you may have had enough and will argue back, well if you want to take that road just make sure that it’s for something that you feel strongly about. Don’t fight with her because you don’t understand why the toilet seat has to be down, thats their job to fight for stupid shit. If your going to argue with her make sure its worth it.

Your best answers are wrong

When they look at you and say “Be honest do I look fat”, what you probably really want to say is “Yes, you look like a cow in that dress”, “You need to hit the gym tootz” “Make use of that fat finger you have”. We all know that’s just a terrible answer to that question, but what you may not know is saying “No you look fine” you as a normal human being may think your giving her a nice compliment, but in actually, in her point of view you have just  insulted the shit outta her. Best answer is to just be nice about it and don’t hesitate when you say it. If you pause even just a little, you messed up. Don’t oversell what your saying just make it simple. This question is a setup, because you can honestly avoid the fight by have a quick simple response, but if she indeed does look fat and hears it from others when she goes out, your screwed.

I told you so!

Women have been trained to believe that we are always right and nothing would feel better than to throw a I told you so in their pretty little faces when they are completely wrong. Yet, we cant do that because proving them wrong and making them feel stupid will land your ass in the dog house.

Say Your Wrong

Like I said Women have been trained to believe that we are always right and when you do get into a bit of a argument, the best thing to do to avoid further issues is to just say your wrong. At this point who cares, because you probely said what you wanted to say and she obviously heard you, so you win, right. Victor Ortiz: Bradley Bound or Phenom Fallout?

Even as a true admirer of the level of competition in and around 140 pounds, I can understand what the reasonable opposition to this fight are saying.

Timothy Bradley has just come off the most impressive fight of his career by beating the undefeated Lamont Peterson this past Saturday night to retain his WBO Jr. Welterweight title while maintaing a perfect record himself at 25 victories without a loss. On the other hand though, despite his convincing TKO victory over Antonio Diaz this past Saturday night, Victor Ortiz’s stellar expectations as Golden Boy Productions next true prizefighter have taken a backseat of late as his will power as a fighter is still in question due to the fact that he literally Quit his previous fight versus Marcos Maidana. That being said, there are variables.

First and foremost, why? According to an article that was seen on the BoxingScene in recent days, he cites a family matter from the night before the Maidana fight as the main reason why he was not himself. To add to that, when Max Kellerman interviewed him before the Diaz fight, his response was to the effect of “That wasn’t even me in there last time”.

Now secondly, is it true? I am as positive as the fact that the Sun will rise tomorrow, that a large amount of people who cry “quitter! quitter!” the instant Ortiz’s name is mentioned, are not mentally capable of comprehending the idea that Ortiz has been, and continues to insinuate, as his reason for quitting the fight with Maidana. (I do apologize to those who feel that they are unjustly included in this grouping)

What Ortiz makes it sound like, is that he had some level of revelation that night before the fight, where words and thoughts were expressed between him and his loved ones that should not have been at that time, and because of this, he was left in an extremely humbled state. Such a state whereas one not only questions the most recent events that have led to that exact moment but also the un/known events of the immediate future.

So what does that all mean in layman’s terms? It means that Ortiz put his life into question of his own accord and was unable to resettle himself before the fight, which led to his nonchalantness throughout and after the bout. Once again, that is what he has been trying to imply since that night. Do I believe him though? I am not sure whatsoever.

It is convincing between the post fight interview immediately following the Maidana bout, all the way to the pre-Diaz fight interview with Kellerman, as he definitely maintained the appeal of someone whom I have already described as having had a Real personal issue at an inopportune time.

If this is the case and I am correct in my assertion, then I have no doubt that he is Beyond capable of not only rebounding, but actually attaining the level of greatness that GBP and so many others have predicted for him. However, if I am being mislead and he in fact was mentally stable and simply quit the fight because the going got tough, then as a majority of the neysayers have already said, “Once a quitter, always a quitter”.

For those of you who are skeptical, please try to understand that there is an enormous difference between the self-inflicted philosophical debate that I have referenced versus the relatively simple (though arguably more challenging) mental battle that an ass-whoopin’ generates in the ring. In short, if what I assess is true then the likelihood of Ortiz quitting a bout ever again is slim to none.

All that Jazz and I must say that even if he is going to be okay, he definitely needs one more solid victory in order to fully convince himself that all of this critical talk is nothing but the BS of the sport. And if that is the case, Timothy Bradley is surely not that next fight as I presume Ortiz is simply just not ready…at the moment.

Lastly, for those of you who saw Ortiz’s fight versus Diaz, please tell me what you thought of his movement as a whole? Between the consistent foot spacing, slightly arched back and natural flow of head movement, I can say in earnest that Victor Ortiz encompasses the true beauty of a Boxer. On the other hand though, I find his technique once engaged is indeed questionable to say the least.

A friend of mine suggested Ortiz work with Mayweather Sr if he were actually slated to fight Bradley in early 2010 as rumored. And Though I cannot condone Mayweather as the clear cut best fit for him, I do agree that he needs a change of pace at this point in order to reach that next level. A next level however, that really may not be attainable for him at all. Only time will tell.

Future of Boxing

I see this entire setup a bit differently than most of the boxing world it seems like. My main concern right now is the sport of Boxing as a whole as far as mainstream society is concerned.

What I mean is, the super fight is coming. Mayweather-Pacquiao. It’s already set to break all kinds of PPV records with all of us loyal fans plus a slew of indifferent people already determined to witness this stellar event.

Okay so as far as Boxing is concerned, what’s next?

Mayweather-Mosley some of you say, or even Mayweather-Williams for the dreamers. Those sound nice and all to us loyal fans, but what about all those indifferent people?

This fight coming up is bringing a lot of needed attention back to this great sport. An attention level that really hasn’t been seen since Mike Tyson was everywhere you looked. So with that in mind, what does Mayweather-Mosley, really do for the sport as a whole? It could be a good fight, sure. But even if it is, that’s all it will be, one fight.

As we know, Floyd takes his time between bouts, and isn’t a general crowd pleasing fighter. Therefore he has not been and will not be a household name like that of Tyson or Leonard were.

Age plays a factor in this as well. Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya, Roy Jones Jr, Bernard Hopkins. These are names that generated conversation at the table in the 90s and early 2000s. But that was then and this is now. Mosley is about 38 I believe , Roy and Hopkins are pushing 40 as well, and Oscar is flat out done.

My point from all of this is for those of you who are like me, who actually care about Boxing’s place in the pecking order of sports in this world, how can you possibly keep harping on the fighters that ARE on the way out, while ignoring the youth which is with whom Boxing may rise again?

So all that said, I’m a fan of Boxing, and I want Andre Berto to whoop Shane Mosley’s ass on January 30th so that he can earn a fight against a Miguel Cotto or a Ricky Hatton even and then if he could win that, he would be due a shot at whoever wins Mayweather-Pacquiao.

There has to be something going forward that people can really point to and say “Oh I know that name, who/when is he fighting again you say?” on a consistent basis. With the Super 6 tying up the Super Mid-LightHeavy division for a couple years, and the Klitschko’s still kickin’ ass and taking names, the WW division is where Boxing is at its hottest right now. I see no need to let that fire burn out so quickly come March 14th.
