Brochures continue to be one of the most multipurpose marketing tools that have ever hit the business community. Why is a well-planned brochure multipurpose? Simply because it can fill so many of the needed advertising niches so well! A brochure can be used to help a company promote any planned events that may interest potential and repeat customers.

A brochure can do a fantastic job of advertising a new product or service. This type of promotional literature can advise your customers of any changes that your company has planned for a popular product line. A brochure can also help your company to become recognized in the community or district you serve. This helps immensely to build up the image of your business in the minds of those who have previously or will potentially be your customers.

There are many other reasons why a specially printed brochure makes good sense for your business, but those are the main ones. As you can see, the versatile brochure is one promotional item that people will definitely want to hang on to for future reference! Your contact information, informative text, and attention-grabbing photos with equally appealing, relevant captions will please the eye and pique the interest of everyone who encounters them.

You might be surprised to realize just how many different types on industries use these printed leaflets to advertise their business services as well as the products they sell. Just about any business you can name has at one time or another used the multipurpose aspects of a brochure to inform and impress the buying public.

Anyone who does business presentations knows that a nice looking and well-designed folder can go a long way in helping your colleagues to sit up and take notice of the information you are presenting to them. Though this type of folder is most often seen in an executive meeting, presentation folders are also very usable in all sorts of business situations. The company that takes care of your business card printing can generally print these folders to your specifications.

What does a presentation folder look like? Generally, a presentation folder will contain your company’s name and logo on the outside, as well as any other information that seems essential. These folders are designed to have a refined, tasteful, and professional appearance, which of course reflects well upon your company. The right kind of presentation folder can make you look extremely organized to the other people in your organization. This is definitely a good thing, for there is nothing better for your career than to make a good impression on your peers.

In the business world, image is everything! That is why presentation folders can be one of your best friends. If part of your job is making presentations, you should know that around 90 percent of your presentation is the image you have created for the people who have gathered. That’s right! How you look is more important than the information you have to present. You could have groundbreaking info to share, but if you don’t look sharp and professional, no one is going to pay too much attention to you.

Most people use a notepad on a daily basis. In fact, some people keep two notebooks going at once; one for home and one for work related issues. There is no better or less expensive method of keeping the name of your business in front of your customers, whether they are potential customers or those who have been loyal to your company for a while.

Notepads are used for so many things, like grocery and other lists, personal reminders, messages to other people, and just short generic notes. They come in many shapes, sizes, and a rainbow of colours. Some even come in a plastic holder, which makes it very simple to display on a desktop or counter. Notepad cubes have also become hugely popular.

When you use a professional printing company to bring your notepad idea to fruition, you’ll discover that they already have notepads with charming or clever designs that just need to be personalized with your business name and information.

Or, you can start from scratch and design your own unique notepads. There’s nothing wrong with a plain black and white notepad, either. Often, what we may think looks rather stark may be just the thing that catches people’s eye. An overuse of bright colours in today’s world makes this more than just a possibility. Any company who does a good job at custom calendar printing or similar can do a pleasing job on an order of notepads for you.

Envelopes as we know them have been around since the early to mid 1900s. Nowadays, the basic white, business size envelopes of today are pretty close to the original model. The main difference is that they have branched out into many shapes and sizes. You can purchase envelopes that are coloured, plain, windowed, and made of different types of paper. You can also purchase envelopes that have had information printed on them in a wide range of coloured inks.

Companies that do envelope printing also can print them with a business logo on the outside. This option is becoming more and more popular as professional business owners discover just how effective it can be to use envelopes that are printed with their logo. They find that their mailings bring results that are more positive when they use these logo envelopes as opposed to plain white ones.

Almost everyone has had the experience of opening his or her mailbox and taking out a handful of mail. What is the first thing most of us do? We flip through the mail, stopping when something catches our eye. And, what is it that usually causes us to stop and pay attention to the mail we are holding in our hands? That’s right, a cleverly designed logo on the envelope. Distinctive colours can play a role in this attraction, but often a plain black and white logo can be quite eye catching.

Often, the piece of mail that we notice in this manner is the first piece that is opened. Team a good logo envelope with matching letterhead stationary, and you have a winning combination. The person’s interest, first stirred by the design on the envelope, is now transferred to the stationary inside, and the message that is on it.

If you have decided that you would like to organize some sort of a promotion for your staff, but are having a problem deciding just what kind of promotion to choose, let gift vouchers come to the rescue!

A gift voucher is sometimes called a gift certificate or a gift card. It is a perfect solution to that age-old question of what to give staff members for a job well done, or for a holiday like Christmas. A personalized gift voucher with your business name and address added is a lovely way to remember your top sales representatives, your office staff, or anyone within your corporation.

Some companies will use gift vouchers in the following manner. The highest ranked sales representatives in the company are given gift vouchers of varying amounts. What they will do with these is use them as an incentive for returning customers. For example, let’s say Sales Representative A uses a $100.00 gift voucher as a 10% offer to reward Customer C, who has just purchased $1000.00 worth of new furniture. Since Sales Representative A works on commission, he ends up with more than he would have received if he had just been given a $100.00 voucher to use for himself.

Gift vouchers that are used for corporate rewards do not have to be redeemable only at your own place of business. You can purchase various gift vouchers that are redeemable at many different types of establishments. The most professional way to use these ready- made gift vouchers is to have a type of presentation card printed to hold the voucher.

Have you ever thought about using customised promotional material for your business? If you haven’t, this is definitely something you should consider. With such a wide variety of products available that are suitable for customisation, your business name and message can easily reach hundreds of potential customers each day.

Why should you choose customised promotional material? The main reason is usually the least obvious to business owners. They are of the opinion that the use of promotional products will be horribly expensive, and much more than their advertising budget can stand. All they can see is that they are giving something away, something that cost them money. What they fail to realize is that by handing out these little gifts, they are building company recognition. People will see the business name and logo, or a company slogan, every time they use the item.

Take a coffee mug for example. Most adults use such a mug every day, sometimes more than once a day. Every time they grip the mug’s handle to take a drink, they can’t help but notice the information that is printed on the side of the mug. Even the use of a customised promotional item that is as small as a keychain or a pen for writing can carry your message to potential customers neatly and efficiently.

In fact, these smaller items often will be inadvertently passed from person to person, giving your business information even more exposure. Everyone who sees your various promotional items could be considered a potential customer. If your message jumps out at them, they can very well turn into new and then repeat customers. Promotional items that turn heads have a way of doing this!

Conducting a giveaway can be a surprisingly effective way of bringing a lot more business to your company. Let’s say that you are the owner of several stores, often referred to as a “chain”. Suppose you have decided that each of these stores is going to have its own separate giveaway. You advertise your giveaway in several places, and you issue a directive to each store. You stress to store managers and employees that in order for this giveaway to work, they will really need to publicize what’s going on.

This giveaway is meant to involve everyone who sets foot in your store. They are invited upon entering to fill out a short form with their name address, and telephone number, and drop it into a box for the giveaway drawing. The drawing is to be held at a time and date that you specify, and you also stress to everyone that they need not be present to win.

Soon, your stores began to get an inordinate amount of traffic. People are coming in to fill out an entry form for your drawing. Many of them do a little shopping while they are there. Your giveaway has already begun to work its magic! This will continue up until the day of the prize drawing. People will discuss this promotion for a long time, and you’ll find that the more unusual or expensive the prize, the more attention will be paid to your giveaway.

The invoices for your company are nothing to take lightly. Anytime you send a bill to one of your customers for monies owed, you want it to have a professional look. Nothing is worse than a hand-written invoice that is unreadable to the point where it looks as if it were written by a kindergartener!

Did you know that this is one of the main reasons why some businesses have turned away from the good old-fashioned invoice book? They certainly need to be able to read their own invoices in order to keep their accounting up to date, because when this is impossible to do, they lose money every time. In order to try to counteract this, businesses have turned to creating and tracking their invoices on a computer.

There is nothing inherently wrong with using computers to keep track of your invoices and payments. Most of the time, it works pretty well if the person doing the work is computer literate. But, what happens if this person inadvertently presses the delete key, and there is no backup? What if there is a power outage, and three hours of work is lost? Or, what if the hard drive goes bad on the computer that is used for doing invoices? How in the world would you recover all of that lost information? It’s possible that your invoices would be gone for good, and that spells bad news for your company.

In the business world, it’s always a good idea to be just a little bit different. The use of a customised invoice book would certainly make your bills stand out. Just imagine the attention each individual invoice would get by the person who received it! A handwritten invoice in this day and time makes people sit up and take notice, and this extra attention may well mean that your invoices are paid in full faster.

Where were you when you first heard someone say that first impressions are everything? Possibly, you were at a business meeting or conference early in your career. This bit of sage wisdom is usually taught to newcomers who are affiliated with the business world for the first time in their lives. They absorb the idea that a business suit or other, more formal clothing makes a much better impression on a potential customer than a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. They learn that their appearance has an effect on people, and that first glimpse of a person is often the image that is remembered the most.

This adage is especially true when you consider the impact that your company stationary can make on the world at large. That small sheet of paper commonly called stationary is literally the line of contact between you and the world. No matter where in the world your stationary goes, it represents you and your company. That is a pretty tall order for a letter-sized rectangle of paper!

You want your company stationary to portray the proper image. What is considered the “proper” image? A lot depends on what kind of company you have. For example, if you work in the financial area or in management of a large company, chances are you do not wear shorts and flip flops to work. You have a professional dress code, which is adhered to by those in your position, and sometimes by those who aspire to be in your position. You look a certain way because you have a certain job to do. The same rules should apply to your company stationary.

What is a business letterhead, and why is it important to your present and future success? A business letterhead is stationary that has been printed with identifying information about you and your business, plus your business logo, if you have one. Generally, a business letterhead lists your business name and mailing address, telephone numbers, including fax numbers, email address, and web site address. All of these can be listed, some as a page header, and some as a footer. The design and placement of this information is, of course, up to the person who owns the company or the person who is responsible for the marketing of a company.

All businesses should have an attractive letterhead, along with matching envelopes. Even if you think your own business would never have need of a letterhead, you never know when you may need to write a letter to a customer or supplier. There are times when an email just won’t do the job, and these are the times when a letter that has been typed or handwritten on an attractive business letterhead can get the job done with a touch of class.

Your business letterhead is your business image. A well-designed letterhead that is neat, yet eyecatching says good things about your business as well as your products. All of the information a potential or repeat customer should need is right in front of them when you make use of a letterhead. The fact that your business even has a letterhead will mightily impress some people, too. A letter written to a customer or supplier on plain paper says nothing about the quality of your products or services, whereas a letterhead can just ooze quality, depending on the type of paper used and the attention that is paid to the design detail.
