Modulate is the hard industrial project of Manchester based DJ Geoff Lee. Geoff is one of the resident DJ's at alternative/industrial club night, The Wendy House, in Leeds on the Mutate industrial/hard dance floor.

The project went through various sounds before streamlining the hard electronic sound it now has, taking in elements of EBM, electro, noise, techno, rave and hard dance. After putting some initial MP3's online and sending out some early demos the band saw the release of their first tracks on compilations in 2006.

Ronan Harris (VNV Nation) chanced upon Skullfuck during his DJ tour of the USA in the summer of 2006. After watching it detonate a dancefloor at the Castle club in Tampa, Florida, he contacted the band. The resulting flurry of emails led to an introduction to Infacted records of Germany, with a recommendation from Harris Modulate signed with Infacted in December of that year. The band also signed with LA based Sistinas Records for the North American market.

Their debut Skullfuck EP went crashing straight into the German DAC alternative charts reaching number 6 and number 3 in the Greek Alternative Chart giving the band a worldwide club hit that was described as "the industrial scene's club hit of the year" in ReGen magazine.

The band toured as support to VNV Nation on the 'Judgement Tour' and Combichrist during the 'What the Fuck is Wrong with You Tour', playing over 50 dates in 8 countries to over 35'000 fans from March through to September 2007.

The Skullfuck EP became a staple floorfiller at industrial clubs worldwide, later joined on the play lists by the hugely successful Modulate remixes of Faderhead's Dirty Grrrls, Dirty Bois and Soman's Divine.

Spring 2008 saw Modulate return to the live arena for a string of UK dates culminating with a show stealing performance at the Woolstock festival and packed headline show at London's seminal Slimelight club.

The band caught the radar of legendary Philadelphia based label, Metropolis Records, US home to bands such as Front 242, KMFDM, Bauhaus, Gary Numan, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Birthday Massacre, IAMX, Juno Reactor, Combichrist, VNV Nation etc, signing with them in Summer 2008.

Their debut full length release, Detonation, was released on the 23rd September 2008 on Infacted Recordings (Europe/Rest of the World) and Metropolis Records (North America) and early 2009 via Gravitator Records (Russia).

Detonation won rave reviews around the world, hitting the Top 10 of both the Dutch Underground Chart (DUC) and the German Alternative Chart (DAC).

For My Pain... (often abbreviated “FMP...” or just “FMP”) is a Gothic metal supergroup from Oulu, Finland, featuring members from Embraze, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Nightwish, Charon and Reflexion. The band released their successful debut album “Fallen” in 2003, but has since not released a new full-length album.

The birth of FMP (1999–2001)

The idea of For My Pain... started in 1999, when Altti Veteläinen (bass) and Petri Sankala (drums), both from Eternal Tears of Sorrow, wanted to start a new project. They asked two old friends, Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards, Nightwish) and Lauri Tuohimaa (guitars, Charon and Embraze), to join. Everyone was interested in the project, but as everyone was too busy, the project was postponed to the future.

2002 - Origins:

Punto Omega was founded in 2002 in Buenos Aires / Argentina, after Pilgrim (programming, vocals and concepts) and Viator (lyrics and concepts) who worked together in other musical projects before, decided to form a band of their own combining EBM and Darkwave with orchestral and martial elements. They started to compose new songs and when the first demo tracks were finished they had the chance to include them in an argentinian electro compilation CD where the name Punto Omega appeared officially for the first time.

2003 - Contract and first remixes:

Thomas Rainer (singer and composer for the austrian band L..âme Immortelle) also listened to the demos (which were available for download from Punto Omega's website) and introduced the band to the Trisol Music Group label, who signed Punto Omega soon thereafter. Now equipped with a record contract, Punto Omega started to work on what would become their first album and remixed several bands like The Retrosic (Germany), Z Prochek (Sweden), Project X (Sweden), Brüderschaft and L..âme Immortelle (Austria). Some of these remixes and their song titled "Punto Omega" were published in Europe for the first time on the "DJ Revelation 1" Compilation.

2004 - First album:

On February 13th, 2004 their debut album titled "Punto Omega" was released worldwide as a stunning double CD digipak edition by Trisol Music Group including remixes by bands such as L'âme Immortelle (Austria), Angels & Agony (Holland), Lights of Euphoria (Germany), The Retrosic (Germany), Grendel (Holland), Run Level Zero (Sweden), Davantage (Germany), Sero Overdose (Germany), Jesus Complex (Holland), Nuclear Noise (Argentina), and the collaborations on guest vocals by Thomas Rainer (L'âme Immortelle) and Claus Bita (Cenobita) getting raving reviews in all major electro/gothic magazines and entitled as "Newcomer of the Month" in Orkus, Sonic Seducer and Zillo (the 3 biggest alternative music magazines in germany).

In june of the same year, the album was sold out. Because of this Trisol Music Group decided to re-release it, but this time without the bonus remix CD. This album was also released by North America..s leading Electro/Dark music label Metropolis Records (Apoptygma Berzerk, Front Line Assembly, Juno Reactor, KMFDM, Peter Murphy, etc.) for their territories.

2005 - Colaborations and more remixes:

Through 2005 Punto Omega worked on remixes for Aiboforcen (Belgium), Dope Stars Inc. (Italy), Kirlian Camera (Italy), ASP (Germany) and composed an exclusive track titled "Sawtooth" which was included in the movie score for the film "SAW II" written by Charlie Clouser (Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson). Pilgrim made a guest vocalist appearance in the song "You Are" by the german band Lights of Euphoria. Also in this year the band started to write for their next album.

2006 - Second album and first tour:

In 2006 Punto Omega recorded their second album titled "Nostalgias del Origen", which was released by Trisol Music Group on December 4th in a luxurious limited edition of 2CDs in an A5 digipak with a 28 pages booklet and including remixes by bands as Funker Vogt (Germany), Dope Stars Inc. (Italy), Samsas Traum (Germany), Heimataerde (Germany), Metallspürhunde (Switzerland) and more. It also features the collaboration on guest vocals by Elena Fossi (Kirlian Camera) and Iván Muñoz (Hopeless) among others. This edition also includes a video with an interview and making of the album. "Nostalgias del Origen" got excellent reviews worlwide.

In December, 2006 Punto Omega presented their live show for the first time touring Germany and Austria as L'Âme Immortelle's special guests playing in 14 german cities and in Viena, Austria. The tour was a big success and left many opened doors for the near future.

2007 - First tour as main band & Wave Gotik Treffen festival

2007 was a very important year for Punto Omega. The band made the first tour on their own playing in Chile, Spain, Germany, Denmark and Sweden including the world famous Wave Gotik Treffen festival becoming the first electro band from Argentina to play there.

2008/2009 - Third album:

After a succesful and inspiring 2007, 2008 was dedicated to write and record the new album which is already finished and about to be released on January 16th 2009. The band also made a remix for the austrian industrial act Nachtmahr and appeared on the european version of the blockbuster SAW4 Movie Soundtrack. The band is currently preparing for their future live shows.

DIN FIV

Named after the connector on a MIDI instrument cable, din_fiv is a personal outgrowth of Da5id Din's work as a member of Boston's Informatik. Although the two projects share many similarities, din_fiv is the darker of the two. The music is intentionally sparse and deceptively simplistic. This is because the varied sequences are allowed to stand out on their own, rather than being swallowed up by the multiple layering that is more typical of Informatik.

Da5id hails from a family that he says combines art with technology: his mother is a music teacher, his father an engineer. His involvement in music came at an early age; he began to write music while still in high school. As expected, his interest in technology strode hand in hand with music, and he found himself heavily into computers and software sequencing while still in his teens. Da5id's first work was in the area of Depeche Mode-styled electro dance music, with his first "industrial" effort coming in 1990 in the form of Acme Disco Machine, a one song project created specifically for the internet-derived project: Mind/Body I (Atomic Records). This song, "Piss Christ", has been reworked for a second existence as a din_fiv piece. Da5id credits the Skinny Puppy album, Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse, as the culprit in moving him out of electropop and into industrial realms. His work as a member of Informatik began with a chance meeting between Da5id and Matthew Crofoot in the summer of 1993. They discovered they had similar musical tastes, and each had their own homespun recording studios. To date, Informatik has two outstanding releases: Direct Memory Access (1995) and Syntax (1998).

Din_Fiv's first solo work appeared on two compilations: Ras DVA's There is No Time and Arts Industria's The Art of Brutality. Din_fiv's debut recording, Infinity, proved to be a distinctly different release than Da5id's Informatik work. Featuring a harsher sound than Informatik, Infinity was more geared toward fans of acts like Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly. Following the release of Syntax, Da5id began work on his second Din_Fiv release, entitled Escape from Reality. Featuring stronger production values and more complexity than with earlier Din_Fiv work, Escape from Reality marked the next stage in the musical evolution of Da5id Din.

GOTHMINISTER

Suicide Commando is a Belgian electro-industrial act created by Johan Van Roy in 1986.

Johan Van Roy, Suicide Commando's only member, began experimenting with electronic music in 1986. Three years later, he released his first tape under the moniker Suicide Commando, and made an appearance on the vinyl compilation, Electronic. As Van Roy continued self-releasing tapes, he landed more compilation appearances on Rotation II and Induktion, Varianz und Deren Folgen, both released by Kugelblitz records.

1994 finally saw Suicide Commando's first CD, Critical Stage, released on the German label Off-Beat. Shortly after, in 1995, Suicide Commando released Stored Images, which contains to date one of van Roy's most popular songs, See You in Hell.

1996 was the ten-year anniversary of Suicide Commando, and with it came the release of Contamination, as well as the limited boxed version, which contained a bonus 3" compact disc featuring previously unreleased material. Contamination was released a year later in North America by the now defunct Electronic Death Trip records.

In 1998, Suicide Commando released the album Construct-Destruct and its sister release, Reconstruction including new clubhits like Desire and Better Off Dead, the former of which was picked up by Possessive Blindfold Records for distribution in North America with bonus tracks.

Van Roy was one of the founders of the Dependent Records label in 1999. It was on this new label that Suicide Commando's next successful releases, two singles and one EP: Hellraiser, Comatose Delusion, and Love Breeds Suicide, accompanied Suicide Commando's 2000 release, Mindstrip, which reached the number one spot on the Deutsche Alternative Charts. Later the Mindstrip album also was licensed and released in North America by Metropolis Records.

In 2002 Suicide Commando release the DCD Anthology on Dependent Records, a compilation of the best and biggest Suicide Commando hits to date, including club hits such as "Hellraiser", "See You in Hell", "Love Breeds Suicide", and offering some exclusive new remixes and rare versions.

For Suicide Commando's next release, Axis of Evil, a special edition double single called Face of Death was released beforehand, selling out in two days. The regular edition of the single continues to sell, and Axis of Evil was voted album of the year (2003) by the Deutsche Alternative Charts. In 2004 Suicide Commando released another limited edition double single, Cause of Death: Suicide + One Nation under God.

In 2006, Suicide Commando returns with the album Bind, Torture, Kill (also available as limited edition including a bonus disc, poster and sticker), featuring the single Godsend + Menschenfresser, released on Johan's own new label Noise Terror Productions, a new division of Dependent Records. The album once again reached the top position in several alternative charts across the world and got voted album of the month in the German Orkus magazine.

Released in 2007, one year after the band's 20th anniversary, the X20 boxset including 3 CDs (one remix CD, one best of CD and the Fuck You Bitch EP) and Suicide Commando's very first live DVD. The special remix CD and the best of album were later released as separate discs by Metropolis Records. End of 2007 Suicide Commando return with the song Hate me, their first new material since the bind torture kill album, released on the noise terror volume 2 sampler on NTP/Dependent.

In 2008 Suicide Commando started working on brand new material for their upcoming EP and new album.

HOCICO

Hocico is a Mexican aggrotech band.
The duo was officially formed in 1993 by Erik Garcia a.k.a Erk Aicrag (lyrics and vocals) and Oscar Mayorga a.k.a. Racso Agroyam (Programming), but both cousins had been experimenting with electronic music, mixing industrial and EBM, since they were fifteen years old. Their music can be described as electro-industrial. Their lyrics are mostly Spanish although some songs are in English. The Spanish word hocico means snout. In Mexico only, the term indicates ugliness (e.g., ugly as a dog's snout), and is used in phrases like cállate el pinche hocico, meaning shut your fucking mouth. While in other countries that is not the case.
Racso Agroyam has a side project called Dulce Liquido.
Erk Aicrag has a side project called Rabia Sorda.

FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY

Front Line Assembly (abbreviated FLA) is a Canadian electro-industrial band formed by Bill Leeb in 1986 after leaving Skinny Puppy. Influenced by early Industrial acts such as Cabaret Voltaire, Portion Control, D.A.F., Test Dept, SPK, and Severed Heads[1], FLA has developed its own unique sound while combining elements of EBM. The band's membership has rotated through several members over the years, including Rhys Fulber and Michael Balch who are both associated with several other successful artists.
