Barb made a tote bag out of her empty bird seed bag. She brought in several empty bags to give away for anyone wanting to make a bag too. I resisted the temptation....I have more bags than I can use now.

This piece is not from our UFO group. This is a punch quilted piece by Christina Diaz-Arntzen. This is one of the textile art pieces that are on display in a gallery at a church in Albuquerque. I have a few pieces in this show too which will be there until late February 2014. All the art in the gallery is from local artists and is for sale.

Only a few things to show since we had a small group last Friday, but we had a lot of fun. I taught them how to make quilted trivet covers.

I won this pretty mug and coaster! Bobbie is a sweetie who always makes something great and we have a drawing at our meetings. Her granddaughter picked my name out of the basket! Oh lucky me. Our group met on Friday and today is Saturday, which also happens to be my anniversary today, so it was meant to be, right? Oh Joy...like the mug says.

Here is the pretty Dresden Plate coaster that goes so perfectly with the mug.

Jeanne's block. Funny thing is this was a block I did for the block-of-the-month at the local quilt guild I belonged to years ago. I was the person who organized the block-of-the-month that year. I had made one like this in turquoise. So it brought back memories seeing this block. I had even made my mom a mini quilt using this block and gave it to her for Mother's Day that year.

Mary F. brought an old beaded doll to show us. It was all handmade is about 60 years old.
