Hello, I am quite new to Website Editing and Widget Programming. So i have decided to search for help here. br / br / I am in need of a Simple map widget where the Start location is Fixed to my address, and the user can input his/her address. The Distance (Fastest Route) in kilometers will be calculated and displayed along with a Price for me to Visit their location (Meters x 0.005). br / br / I hope someone is able to help. br / br / Many Thanks, br / Rune P.

I would love to have a widget where I can set the needed video width (in my case 640) and then I just enter the the current width and height and it gives me the correct setting for the heights.

I used Quartz composer to create a little button that is draggable and tried to import it into Dashcode using the Quartz composer in the Parts Library, but the item isn't draggable. br / I tried again creating a simple particle system that followed the mouse across the screen and this worked well in Dashcode. br / br / So widgets contatin draggable objects

I am designing a new rss feed widget for keeping me updated on the posts on my friends blogs. (Using the landscape template provided on dashcode). How do I link the widget to multiple rss feeds and change them using on a button? Also, how could i make the widget change color when a button is pressed. I would also like to add a button for refreshing the widget and a function that allows it to scroll down when I scroll down. If it is possible, I would also like the background to change colors with every 5s interval. Please post the codes for this function as I have zero programming knowledge. Thank you![/b]

I succeeded using the method given at a href="http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/cut173.shtml" target="_blank"http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/cut173.shtml/a that modified to use GetElementByID(). br / br / However the widget seems broken, when I execute it there's an error and after I deploy it there's no button to toggle the back side. br / I added the HTML in the front part and the JS at the bottom of main.js - anything special I should do ?

I am years past the last widget I wrote, but I might suggest using image swapping with GetElementByID() in Javascript. The element in question would be the image, and you would simply rewrite which one is assigned to that ID. br / br / You can find old-school mouseover animations that use a similar concept, swapping one image for another or, if transparency is not needed, simply altering the z-values of layered images. br / br / Hope this helps.

Hi, this thread seems related to I'll post here. br / br / I want to make a visual aid kind of widget, like a translucent ruler. br / br / On the front of the widget I want only the close button, info button, one image (the ruler) and a drop down menu to toggle the image of the available rulers. br / br / I'm at the stage where my widget works for one image, now I want to be able to toggle it. It doesn't need to be a (saved) preference but one of the images should be displayed by default so that the user sees something the first time. br / br / Basically I want the image selected from the menu to be visible and the others to be hidden. br / br / How do I do this ? (ideally with an Apple style button) br / br / br / I'm using Dashcode and I don't know javascript well
