The key is the purpose for the team. What are we here for? Is it to build up the body of Christ? Can we be sure that it will do so from looking at Scripture? Our ministry key verse can tell you yes to both!

What exactly is the purpose of a Dance Ministry?Where is the Dance Ministry's place in the church?
These are some questions that God has been bringing to my mind and prompting me to answer. I do not in any way claim to have all the answers in this area of the ministry of dance,Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13235455185946579196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6763814362722755807.post-23225908780110860672011-02-28T10:26:00.000-08:002011-02-28T10:26:07.601-08:00List and a VidHey girls! I wanted to prepare you for this Thursday! It's going to be an especially fun and exciting time! We are going to be learning 3 different circle dances- EVERYONE! That's right this practice will include our Jr. Dancers! I am very excited about these dances which God has truly given me! Don't forget to bring your Bibles and notebooks! I found these two Leotards at Dancewear Solutions for only $20! The one on the left is from Capezio, the one on the right is Balera. We'll be going with the Capezio style...can you guess why?
The Capezio style is longer on the leg hole, giving more support and preventing the dreaded wedgy while dancing ;) Dancewear Solutions

We will continue to practice in the Midway cafeteria, though please be in prayer for a new practice place, as we have already outgrown our current one. We would need something in the same area, since MidwaySarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13235455185946579196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6763814362722755807.post-80050774849339783042010-03-11T20:25:00.000-08:002010-03-11T20:25:13.472-08:00Worthy is the Lamb

These dances are so God honoring, truly worship! I have one of their DVD's and it is breath taking. I'm hoping to get this one as well. The dances are very simple in the DVD that I have their Messianic Dance DVD. They are amazing! I have also added a link to their website in the column bar on the left.

We did not want to turn anyone away because they were too "old/young" since praise is not measured by age. So we decided from the start that there would not be an age limit on our dance team. However, we did not want to put just anyone up on stage to dance. How were we going to choose our dancers? The purpose of this blog is to be an encouragement to everyone who is a worshiper of Jesus. I'll be posting devotionals, news and videos about our dance team, links to dance material sites and patterns for instruments and tunics. Together, her and her two daughters, along with my two sister and I formed the first Daughters of David dance ministry team. After a year, however, our dance leader moved away and the dance team broke up. She is one who has surrendered time and energy to prepare herself in mind and body, with her sisters to reflect the glory of her Heavenly King through holy dance. Her audience is first unto the Lord to whom she seeks to exalt above all and then to lead the saints into reverence and awe of Him who recreated His chosen ones toSarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13235455185946579196noreply@blogger.com0
